The Harvest Is Nearly Here ~

The seed has been planted,

Revelation 14:15

And another angel came out
of the temple, crying with a

the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle,
and reap: for the time is come

Unto Eternity ~

Oh, My little sparrow,
I have given you My peace
and unto eternity . . .
it will never cease.

I have empowered you,
with My sufficient grace
but it is up to you
to seek My faithful face.

Oh, My little sparrow,
I will not let you fall
and unto eternity . . .
I’ll hear your every call.

I have given you freedom,
to fly off anywhere
but it’s up to you to take . . .
Me with you everywhere.

Oh, My little sparrow,
I have given you My calm
and unto eternity . . .
I will hold you in My palm.

But you must learn to fly,
on your own faithful wings
for you are not My puppet . . .
I hold not onto your strings!

Matthew 10:29-31

Are not two sparrows sold

shall not fall on the ground
without your Father.

But the very hairs of your head
are all numbered.

Fear ye not therefore, ye are of
more value than many sparrows.

Hard To Focus ~

At times it’s hard to focus,
on what God has to say . . .
with all the distractions
disrupting me every day.

I open up my Bible,
but, the pages seem to dull
and though I see the words
they don’t sink into my skull.

At times it’s hard to focus,
on things that really matter
with all the interruptions
my thoughts begin to scatter.

My mind begins to wander,
making it hard to see
the Way, Truth and the Life
that is right in front of me.

At times it’s hard to focus,
so today I will pray . . .
Lord, keep my heart fixed
and my mind on You stayed!

Psalm 57:7

“My heart is fixed,
O God, my heart is fixed:

I will sing and give praise.”

A Buffet of Hope and Trust ~

Every day is a smorgasbord,
a buffet of renewed pardon
a fresh supply of God’s grace
found in His Word garden.

I hunger after what is holy,
to help me through the day
only in the Word can I find
the Light to lead my way.

My appetites are gratified,
from the verses that I read
for they reassure me
Jesus is all I’ll ever need.

I thirst after the Truth,
reading the Word will bring
it satisfied my hunger pangs
it’s like dining with my King.

I need a steady filling,
of God’s mercy and His love
it’s like manna from heaven
coming down from above.

Every day is a smorgasbord,
a buffet of hope and trust  . . .
for the Word is like a banquet
Jesus set up for each of us!

What More Do I Need ~

The Lord is my Shepherd,
what more do I need . . .
whenever I am hungry
on His Word I feed.

He renews my spirit,
my soul He repairs
sends me into the world
knowing I’ll be prepared.

The Lord is my Shepherd,
I trust Him to guide . . .
and give me the strength
to keep up with His stride.

Through times are troubled,
I have nothing to fear
for I know my Lord
will always be near.

The Lord is my Shepherd,
I have all that I need . . .
He steady’s my feet
so to His ways I’ll heed.

God Guides My Feet ~

God guides my feet,
over mountain tops
onto high ground . . .
in faith, they do hop.

He leads my steps,
through jagged spaces
to prove to me . . .
significant is His grace.

He shines His light,
ahead of my steps
my soles He secures . . .
His love they project.

He takes me to places,
never before explored
to show me why it is . . .
I call Him my Lord.

He sets me up high,
gives me a glorious view
so His mercy my soul . . .
He can restore and renew!

The Bible Is Like A Mirror ~

The Bible is like a mirror,
it reflects yourself so true
it shows all the hidden sin
yet living inside of you.

But if you never read it,
how will you ever glean
the areas in your life
God still needs to clean.

The Bible is like a mirror,
it reflects your heart so true
it shows what is keeping
God disconnected from you.

But if you don’t study it,
God cannot lead or direct
you to see how sinfulness
has an everlasting effect.

The Bible is like a mirror,
His reflection should be in you
but, you must apply its truth . . .
in your life for this to be true!

My Inspiration ~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~Inspiration by God ~ IBible Verses

Lord, when I study the Word,
I’m filled with inspiration
for it opens up to me . . .
thought for contemplation.

I see that You desire,
for me to seek Your will
I can see my objective
is learning to be still.

I see You have a purpose,
for me so many plans
I see that I must leave
everything in Your hands.

I see that You aim,
to renew me each day
I see that I must seek
the Truth, Life and Way.

I see that You endeavor,
for me to finish the race
I see that my good works
are perfected in your grace !

Perfect Peace ~

keep-in-peaceCHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Oh, to know the peace of God,
to experience its perfect calm
to use His every Word
as our soothing, healing balm.

Then we’d have tranquility,
through the storms of life
we’d soar above the turbulence
riding out the winds of strife.

Oh, to have the serenity of God,
flowing from our weary hearts
to have minds engulfed in stillness
which only His Spirit can impart.

Then we’d have the faith,
to trust God in all things
and the discipline to know
the perfect peace He brings!

I Will Wait ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I will wait on You Lord,
I will wait and be still . . .
I will wait for Your voice
to guide and to lead
I will wait for Your Spirit
before I proceed.

I will wait on You Lord,
I will wait and be still  . . .
I will wait on Your word

I will wait on Your timing
no matter the hour.

I will wait on You Lord,
I will wait and be still . . .
I will wait for Your peace

I will wait on Your grace

I will wait on You Lord,
I will wait and be still . . .
I will wait for Your blessings

I promise I can
I promise I will
but I need Your strength

God has shown me,
salvation’s truest light

I am A Student ~

I am Just a Student ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I am just a student,
I study to become wise
I look for the truth
with wonder in my eyes.

I pray every morning,
for the Holy Spirit’s leading
so He’ll open up my mind
to everything I’ll be reading.

I consider and I examine,
every Word and every line
I look for God’s promises
and claim them all as mine.

As I look up the meaning,
to the Words I highlight
I see my own darkness
while blessed in His light.

There’s something to be said,
when you study on your own
and one day to all my questions
I know God, will make known.

But for now, I am His student,
I read my Bible every day
the Holy Spirit is my teacher
who guides me along the way!

for the temporal needs He meets
for each gift from His throne.

In everything give thanks,

for the Life, the Truth, the Way
for forgiveness in confessing.

In everything  give thanks,
for the mercy God has given
for grace, election, redemption
for the adoption of the forgiven.

In everything  give thanks,

Constant and True ~

Faithful and True ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

When disappointed,
when all else fails
I know just One
whose love prevails.

God is the same,
year after year
He is unwavering
His way is always clear.

He remains faithful,
constant and true
the Rock for my soul

Merciful and loyal,
grace without an end
my eternal Helper

Trust worthy He is,
more than just reliable
for His promises
are still redeemable.

When all else fails,
when I’m disappointed
to the unchangeable One
I turn to be anointed!

The Word is my road map,

leading me with great wisdom
to help me through my day.

When I am at a crossroad,
not sure of the way to go
I ask Jesus for directions
so the true way I will know.

When I find I’m too weary,
to make it down the road
I pray for His endurance
to help me with my load.

When I get off His path,

but we must read the scriptures
if in Jesus we’re going to trust!

By My Fruits. . .

Soil by Marian Trinidad free photo # 9785

By my fruits,
will I be known
by all the seeds
I have sown.

The good ones,
and the bad
the ones that take
the ones that add.

Just what will it be,
that other’s see
making them want
what’s inside me?

Will their eyes,
glimpse and know
God is with me
from the seeds I sow?

Am I strong,
or, am I weak
is it my will
or the Lord’s I seek?

Did I plant,
the seeds in love
not of mine
but, of God’s above.

Were they watered,
from the start
with God’s Word
straight from my heart?

Can they see,
the peace within
or is peace missing
because of hidden sin?

Will they see,
God’s strength and power
or has my faith
turned somewhat sour?

All these things,
I need to ask
for, there is no hiding
behind a mask.

God knows the true purpose,
and intent of my labor
so I pray He grants . . .
all my seeds His favor.

Rest in the Lord while you wait,

Cries From the Heart . . .

Bleeding Heart by Brian Cole free photo #2389

When the heart cries to be heard,
yet it shares not a single word
when it yearns to speak to another
yet its voice it can’t uncover.

When the heart needs someone else,
another person stronger than itself
when it feels the tug of deep emotion
and has the need for true devotion.

When the heart ceases its futile search,
and comes down from its high perch
it will see its looked in all the wrong places
for man can’t fill the need for God’s graces.

For the heart that cries and is not heard,
needs to cleave onto the Good Word . . .
there they will find God has an ear
and cries from the heart . . . He’ll always hear.

What Causes Our Feet to Stumble?

What Causes Our Feet To Stumle ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Photo CreationSwap

What causes our feet to stumble,
so quickly in these last days?
Was not Jesus our example,
on how to keep ourselves humble?

Did He not draw a line in the sand,
an expose to all men their sin?
Was He not the One who promised,
salvation would come from His hand?

Did He not still preach the Word,
to all those He came across?
Did He not hold them accountable,
for the truth that they had heard?

Did He not prepare the way,
for the Holy Spirit’s filling?
Did He not tell everyone to fear,
God’s wrath on judgment day?

Did He just give up,
and ask God to save Him from death?
Did He not continue on to drink,
the grace raised in His Father’s  cup?

Did He not face the cross,
with severe pain and suffering?
So then why do we think . . .
we should not undergo any loss?

What causes are feet to stumble,
so quickly in these last days?
Didn’t Jesus set for us an example,
on how to stay meek and humble?

If We’re To Be Like Jesus ~

To Be Like Jesus ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

To be more like Jesus,
we must walk with Him each day
we must take up our own cross
and follow Him on the narrow way.

It’s an individual thing to decide,
no one can tell you what to do
after the Sunday service is over
it will be only Jesus and you.

We will need to have faith,
the measure of it only we know
but if we’re willing to study His word
in our hearts it’s sure to grow.

There is no assurance,
from His light we will not stray
but if you trust in the Holy Spirit
He’ll keep you from falling away.

 He will give us divine wisdom,
He’ll lead and guide our way
till He takes us to His Kingdom
where we’ll walk with Him each day!

I am Not Ashamed ~

I am Not Ashamed ~ CHRISTian Poetry by deborah ann

Lord, I am not ashamed,
of the hope that lives in me
I wear my faith openly
for all the world to see.

You asked me to be the light,
to shine Your Word upon my path
so, I share Your truth knowing
at me they’ll scorn and laugh.

I am not intimidated,
by the words and thoughts of man
instead, I rejoice in the knowledge
You will finish what You began.

You asked me to be the salt,
to spread Your favor on the earth
so, I tell the story on my way
of their sin, Your life, new birth.

I am not afraid,
or concerned what man may do
for I know that I am Yours
and they can’t take me from You.

You asked me to follow You,
in my every act and deed
I do so willingly because I know
You will help me as I need.

I am not beaten,
although man may think he’s won
for, I’ve seen the crown of victory
upon my Lord, the Christ, Your Son.

You asked me to be faithful,
my trust in You remains
I know You will walk with me
on the narrowest of these plains.

Lord, I am not ashamed,
despite how man wants me to feel
the Good News is my life . . .
and Your love I must reveal!

~~~~~~
Mark 8:38
King James Version
“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me
and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation;
of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed,
when he cometh in the glory of his Father
with the holy angels.”
My Daily Bread ~
Daily Bread ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Lord, give me today,
Your daily bread
let it be on Your Word
that I’m satisfied and fed.
Let me not go hungry,
for the Truth and the Way
fill me with Your wisdom
as I go about my day.
Send to me Your manna,
sweetened with grace
grant unto me strength
to run the faithful race.
Give me life-giving water,
so I’ll not ever thirst
remind me to always . . .
in my life to put You first!
~~~~~~

Matthew 6:33

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God,
and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added unto you.”

The Way ~

The Way by Chris Kennedy free photo

Lord, lead me in the Word,
teach me where to go
make Your way plain
so Your path I will know.

Show me Your truths,
let them light up the way
open my heart and my ears
to the words, You have to say.

Instruct me in patience,
teach me to be still
until I have clear knowledge
as to what is Your will.

You’re the God of my hope,
I’ll wait for Your direction
all day I will pray
to the Lord of my salvation.

Lord, lead me in the Word,
teach me Your perfect ways
make Your path plain to me
for the rest of my days!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Psalm 25:5
“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day.”
You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. - Hebrews 3:13-14 NLT
