Autumn Blessings ~

Autumn brings to the soul relief,
as hot Summer days slip to an end
God sent the season for weary hearts
to restore, repair and mend.

Unlike the Autumn trees,
that shed their changing leaves
God sent the season for failing hearts
to adhere, embrace and cleave.

Just as with the Autumn winds,
there comes a refreshing rain
God sent the season for fraying hearts
to increase, grow and gain.

The Autumn sun is slow to climb,
and dips earlier into the night
God sent the season for sleepy hearts
to rise, shine and awake in His light.

God gave to us the Autumn season,
so we could have a respite and rest
for it is the season for our beset souls
to see how much we are truly blessed!

From Sun Up To Sun Down ~

Father, today in a sunrise,
I saw You set off its glow
I saw You when I watched
the breeze begin to blow.

I witnessed You today,
in someone’s smile
I saw You when I went
for them an extra mile.

Father, today in a sunset,
I saw You as it began to set
I saw You as the stars
spun their showy net.

I noticed You today,
in someone’s sad eyes
I saw You when I calmed
down their fearful cries.

Father, today I saw You,
from sun up to sun down
I saw You as You turned . . .
a smile from a frown!

When The Lord Is Silent ~

When the Lord is silent,
when He says not a word
I ponder all the truths
over the years I’ve heard . . .

I am always with you,
leave you I will never
the love I have for you
nothing can ever sever.

I am the supplier,
of your every single need
all you must possess
is faith of a mustard seed.

I am your burden bearer,
rest to you I will give
My perfect peace is yours
as long as you should live.

I am your Messiah,
I’ve prepared for you a place
for you a joyous life awaits
when you finish the race.

I am the First and the Last,
you need not be afraid
I’ve sent you an Advocate
so not to be dismayed.

I am coming soon,
in the clouds I’ll meet you
so keep trusting in Me
no matter what you do.

When the Lord is silent,
when He says not a thing . . .
I dwell on the new earth
and heaven He will bring!

Embracing God’s Promises ~

Embracing the promises,
God has for all of us . . .
takes a journey into
a deeper faith and trust.

For we need to believe,
all things He’ll supply
that none of our needs
will He ever deny.

Embracing the provisions,
God has for us each day
takes a heart willing
to beseech and pray.

For we need to petition,
Him for our daily bread
so that our souls
can be constantly fed.

Embracing the promises,
of a God who is faithful . . .
takes a life to Jesus
that’s eternally grateful!

Those Who Are Meek ~

Blessed are the meek,
those who have humility
those who for their sins
have found impunity.

For they are forgiven,
by grace they are saved
and from their past ways
they’ve escaped unscathed.

Blessed are the meek,
those on the straight path
those who understand
the effects of God’s wrath.

For to the world’s way,
they are not conformed
for in Jesus they’ve been
completely transformed.

Blessed are the meek,
those who seek peace
for they’ll inherit a new earth
that will never decease!

Heavenly Places ~

Heavenly places,
blessing galore
because to Jesus
we opened the door.

Predestined to go,
and be with the saints
entering in through
pearly white gates.

Heavenly beings,
just passing through
for our hearts hold
an eternal view.

Song and laughter,
praise and singing
for His redeemed
are the joys awaiting.

Heavenly places,
the end to strife
a blessed hope
of everlasting life!

“Blesseds” From God ~

“Blesseds” from God,
are all over the place
blessings filled with . . . .
His love and grace.

For the meek and humble,
those poor and the pure
are blessings of hope
to help you endure.

For the thirsty and hungry,
the peacemakers too
are blessings of mercy
God bestows onto you.

For those persecuted,
the ones who are steadfast
are blessings of peace
when with Jesus at last.

For the mournful,
those meek and merciful
are blessings of gladness
in rewards too joyful.

For the world’s rejected,
for His name sake . . .
is the blessing of life
with a heavenly fate.

“Blesseds” from God,
thru the Bible they span
blessings imparted . . .
thru the Son of Man!

~~~~~~~~
Matthew 5:3-12
Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted
.
Blessed are the meek:
for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do
hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful:
for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the
children of God.
Blessed are they which are
persecuted for righteousness’ sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall
revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil
against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:
for great is your reward in heaven:
for so persecuted they the prophets
which were before you.
I bring to you rest
I AM always looking
out for your best.
I Am your Helper,
I AM your strength
when for mine you seek.
even to the very end
for I AM your beloved
one time eternal Friend!
The Greatest Blessing ~
The greatest blessing,
Lord, I can think of . . .
is knowing I have
Your undying love.
For it is amazing,
a sinner like me
Lord, can be loved
by likes of Thee.
With Your grace,
I’m richly blessed
tis why my soul
is at perfect rest.
All of my needs,
You daily furnish
so every good work
in me can flourish.
The greatest blessing,
Lord, is knowing . . .
Your love for me
never stops flowing!
May The Lord Bless You ~
May the Lord bless you,
keep you in His stead
may He keep you safe
in the days ahead.
May His goodness,
you be reminded of
may His arms wrap you
in His forever love.
May the Lord bless you,
keep you in His watch
may He keep you secure
under His wing’s notch.
May His face shine down,
with rays of hope on you
may His gracious mercy
your heart and mind renew.
May the Lord bless you,
bring to you His peace
as all your cares . . .
onto Him you release!
Count All Your Blessings ~
Count all your blessings,
every single blessed one . . .
add them all together
be grateful for the sum.
Be thankful for all you have,
convey your gratitude
let your appreciation
reflect in your attitude.
Appreciate your wealth,
no matter how great or small
show your gratefulness
to God who supplies it all.
Let your thankfulness,
reach across the whole land
freely give to others
what God’s put in your hand.
Count all your blessings,
so many have not any. . .
give to them all you can
even if it’s your last penny!
~~~~~~~~

Mark 12:41-44

And Jesus sat over against
the treasury, and beheld
how the people cast money
into the treasury: and many
that were rich cast in much.

And there came
a certain poor widow,
and she threw in two mites,
which make a farthing.

And he called unto him his
disciples, and saith unto them,
Verily I say unto you,
That this poor widow
hath cast more in, than all
they which have cast into
the treasury:

For all they did cast in of
their abundance; but she
of her want did cast in all
that she had, even all her living.

A Good Work ~

A good work,
in you God has began
to help you get rid
of that old sinful man.

He promised to give,
His Spirit to you
so He could guide
and lead you how to.

A good work,
God will perform
so to His likeness
you can conform.

It will take time,
to reach perfection
until He sees in you
His own reflection.

A good work,
in you God will finish
if you will let Him . . .
go about His business!

Oh, My God Shelter Me ~

Oh my God,
shelter me
keep me safe
within Thee.

For You are to me,
my cool Shadow
my safe Haven
my shady Grotto.

Oh my God,
shield me
keep my close
near to Thee.

For You are to me,
my quiet Harbor
my calm Retreat
my fixed Anchor.

Oh, my God,
protect me
keep me safe
secure in Thee!

The Greatest Blessing of All ~

Blessings come great,
they too come small
and we need to be . . .
thankful for them all.

They come suddenly,
they come unexpected
they come anticipated
or when unsuspected.

Blessings come many,
they too come few
and we need to be . . .
grateful for them too.

They come in the morning,
when new mercies fall
they sometimes just come
when on God’s name we call.

They come in the warmth,
they come in the gloom
they come in winter’s chill
or on summer’s bloom.

Blessings come great,
they too come small
and Jesus is the greatest . . .
blessing of them all!

Everyday Is A Blessing ~

Everyday is a blessing,
something to savor
everyday is a gift . . .
of God’s merciful favor.

Everyday is a treasure,
of hope and trust
everyday is a gem
that God gives to us.

Everyday is a present,
to be unwrapped
everyday is a deluge
of grace untapped.

Everyday is a trove,
of peace and rest
everyday is a chance
to give God our best.

Everyday is a blessing,
to be appreciated
everyday is a gift to us
God has orchestrated!

Freely God Gave ~

Freely God gives,
His mercy to all
openly He hears
His name when we call.

Kindly God provides,
for our every need
richly He blesses
when His will we heed.

Gladly God renders,
His strength and power
willingly He became
our high strong tower.

Abundantly God bestows,
peace and stillness
selflessly He grants us
all of His goodness.

Lovingly God gave,
His one Son to all . . .
freely He gives grace
when on His name we call!

God Of The Sparrow ~

God of the sparrow,
provide our winter seed
supply us with the faith
to trust You for all we need.

Shelter us in the storms,
underneath Your mighty wings
shield us from the bitterness
that winter’s harshness brings.

God of the sparrow,
furnish our winter warmth
keeps us steadfastly
upon salvation’s hearth.

Protect us in the icy chill,
be our guiding light
as we embark out into
the frigid wintry night.

God of the sparrow,
forgotten not we’ll never be
for You know just how much . . .
we are dependent on Thee!

God Keeps His Promises ~

God keeps His promises,
His Word never fails
His promises He keeps
right down to the details.

Promises of new life,
that His Son brings
promises of hope
to work out all things.

Promises of comfort,
when trails we face
promises of new mercy
and sufficient grace.

Promises of blessings,
of every spiritual kind
promises of His peace
to guard heart and mind.

Promises to finish,
all that He has begun
promises of salvation
through the gift of His Son.

God keeps His promises,
they are solid as a Rock
He promises us Jesus . . .
will return for His flock!

Counting My Blessings ~

If I could add up,
all of my blessings
the total sum of them . . .
I’d only be guessing.

For, God sends to me,
new ones each day
yet, I don’t notice them
as they come my way.

If I’d only slow down,
I know I would see
the many blessings
He bestows on me.

For, God delivers to me,
mercy on a daily bases
and often I miss seeing . . .
the abundance of His graces.

If I could all my blessings
harness up and gather . . .
I would never stop giving
thanksgiving to my Father!

Awesome Blossoms ~

Awesome blossoms,
buds of hope on a stem
my summer garden grows . . .
like my faith I have in Him.

In my flower beds,
each bloom provides
reminders to praise God
for all He supplies.

White and yellow daisies,
petals picked one by one
let know me how I am loved
by my Father and His Son.

Lavender branches,
tied up with some string
keepsakes of the future
and the peace He’s to bring.

Pink and blue forget-me-nots,
spread across the ground
reminding me to share
the Savior I have found.

Awesome blossoms,
summer arranged in a vase
each flower a memento . . .
of God’s love and grace!

His Eye Is On This Sparrow ~

His eye is on this sparrow,
He sees me as I fly
He notices me each day
that sweeps and passes by.

He hands me a flight plan,
as I open up my eyes
He charts out my course
upon my morning rise.

His eyes is on this sparrow,
He sees me as I soar
He hears my wings flapping
above the world’s roar.

He knows my ups and down,
yet He forgets me naught
He gives me the strength
when storms in life are fought.

His eye is on this sparrow,
He has me in His sight
He leads and He guides me
whenever I am in flight!

~~~~~~~
Matthew 10:29-31
Are not two sparrows sold
for a farthing? and one of
them shall not fall on the
ground without your Father.
But the very hairs of your
head are all numbered.
Fear ye not therefore,
ye are of more value than
many sparrows.
Blessed Is She ~
Blessed is she who believes,
who mediates and prays
for she is able to hear
the things God has to say.
Blessed is she who has faith,
who is Holy Spirit filled
for she can understand
what is God’s perfect will.
Blessed is she who trusts,
God in and for all things
for she knows His favor
into her life He will bring.
Blessed is she who hopes,
whose thoughts are higher
for her joy is in knowing
the future will be brighter.
Blessed is she who believes,
whose hope and trust glows
for her heart leaps and bounds
because her Savior she knows!
Gifts Intertwined ~
Our spiritual gifts,
God’s given to us
and in them we need
to put all our trust.
He gave various talents,
for us to use side by side
but with the same Spirit
we are all occupied.
God’s given us strengths,
different levels of skill
and we must all seek
what for them is His will.
He has bestowed on us,
a variety of abilities
aptitudes filled with . . .
all kinds of capabilities.
God’s given us gifts,
according to His design
to use for His glory . . .
when them we combine!
~~~~~~~~~

1 Corinthians 12:4-6

Now there are diversities of gifts,
but the same Spirit.

And there are differences of
administrations, but the same Lord.

And there are diversities of
operations, but it is the same
God which worketh all in all.

Blessing Counting ~

Don’t number your burdens,
instead count your blessings
for burden counting, adding
can be gloomy and depressing.

So let your mind run free,
and add up all the ways
God has provided you . . .
with your needs each day.

Don’t list your complaints,
instead tally up God’s benefits
for complaining, tallying
has disheartening elements.

So let your heart begin,
to list the hopeful things
everyday into your life
Jesus sends and brings.

Don’t list all of your have-nots,
rather count the good things God has given
when your done the total sum . . .
will add up to the reasons you’re forgiven!

My Cup Is Brimming ~

My cup is quite full,
in fact it’s brimming
for in God’s mercy
I’m gleefully swimming.

My cup is full of joy,
glorious and triumphant
for Jesus has filled it
with grace abundant.

My cup is full of hope,
that keeps expanding
for its full of life
blissfully unending.

My cup is full of peace,
of a future brighter
for I know Jesus is
salvation’s provider.

My cup is quite full,
joy flows past the brim
for my life to Jesus . . .
I’ve surrendered to Him!

God Is Patient And Kind ~

God is patient and kind,
He wants to bless us
with the power we need
for our faith to trust.

So He sends us mercy,
each morning anew
so our hearts and minds
He can daily renew.

God’s love is enduring,
He wants us to know
He is more than willing
His righteous way to show.

So He sends us grace,
sufficient for each day
so on the narrow path
we’ll be able to stay.

God is patient and kind,
His love is unceasing
each day mercy and grace
on us He keeps releasing!

May The Lord Keep You ~

May the Lord keep you,
safely in His care
may you give to Him
all your burdens to bear.

May He bless you,
with hope and peace
may you on Him
your worries release.

May the Lord shine,
on you His face
may you embrace
His undying grace.

May His favor,
put joy in your heart
may from His ways
you never depart.

May the Lord keep you,
in His loving care . . .
may you make sure
you stay right there!

My God Promises ~

My God is bigger,
than my fear
for my God promises
to always be near.

My God is greater,
than my dread
for my God promises
me daily bread.

My God is mightier,
than my plight
for my God promises
to lead with His light.

My God is bolder,
than my doubt
for my God promises
I’ll not go without.

My God is stronger,
than my concern
for my God promises
He will return!

Day’s End ~

Heavenly Father,
my day is drawing to an end
and I just want to thank You
for all the blessings You send.

I thank You for Your presence,
whether felt or not
for showing me compassion
when feeling over fraught.

Heavenly Father,
thank You for protecting me
with heaven-sent angels
those that I can and can’t see.

Thank you for Your wisdom,
giving me the heart to hear
but mostly I thank you . . .
for always being ever near.

Heavenly Father,
as tonight I close my eyes
I pray for Your mercy new
tomorrow when I rise!

God’s Daily Benefits ~

Every hour,
of every day
God blesses us
in every way.

He never ceases,
to give us love
nor to send
mercy from above.

Every season,
of every year
God reminds us
He’s ever near.

He never stops,
providing us
with the rewards
of faith and trust.

Every second,
of every minute
from God’s kindness
we daily benefit!
