A Peaceful Life ~

A peaceful mind,
is full of calm
the Word of God
is its healing balm.
It frets not about,
what may be
for Lord it puts
its trust in Thee.
A peaceful heart,
is full of ease
for with sin
it does not tease.
It’s not to the world,
even slightly conformed
instead in Jesus its been
completely transformed.
A peaceful life,
is a life worth living
for it knows to pray
for every single thing!
~~~~~~~~
Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer
and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests
be made known unto God.
These things I have
spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against
such there is no law.”
Fruit Of Our Faith ~
Within each of us,
the Holy Spirit resides . . .
and the fruit of our faith
needs to be daily applied.
But, we must feel the fire,
the burning of desire
to call upon His strength
so His might we’ll acquire.
Then we’ll be loving,
in all things we’ll have peace
and our joy and happiness
will be natural to release.
To have God like patience,
we must learn to be kind
then gentleness will flow
from our hearts and minds.
We need to let humility,
guide us to being meek
by not forgetting His power
each day we must seek.
The Holy Spirit abides
in every one of us . . .
and to produce much fruit
in Jesus we need to trust!
~~~~~~~~~
I am the vine, ye are the branches:
He that abideth in me, and I in him,
the same bringeth forth much fruit:
for without me ye can do nothing.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against
such there is no law.”

A Humble, Meek Heart ~

A humble heart,
a meek attitude
is something
we need to exude.
Pleasant and nice,
gentle and mild
are the attributes
of being God’s child.
A quiet spirit,
a composed mood
one that is polite
and never rude.
Decent and modest,
tactful and discreet
willing to let their ego
take the backseat.
A humble heart,
a soul quiet . . .
are the fruits of
the Holy Spirit!
~~~~~~~~
But let it be the hidden
man of the heart, in that
which is not corruptible,
even the ornament of a
meek and quiet spirit,
which is in the sight of God
of great price.
But the fruit of the Spirit
is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.
No Laws Against ~
Everyday there seems to be,
more rules, new laws . . .
mandates unbelievable
filled with plenty of flaws.
But, I know of some things,
there are no laws against . . .
for they’re not made up by man
but, Holy Spirit dispensed.
They distribute faith,
gentleness they allot
they give us temperance
when our nerves are shot.
They provide to us love,
joy they daily release
into our souls they render
the promise of eternal peace.
They help us to be meek,
by filling us with goodness
making it easier for us
to show others kindness.
Into each of us these fruit,
the Holy Spirit instills . . .
unlike the laws of man . . .
there’s no spending pork or frills!
~~~~~~~~
But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.

The Evidence Of Charity ~

Justified by faith,
the good works we do
when Jesus we follow
the Gospel of You.
From works of the law,
we are no longer bound
now that our salvation
in You we have found.
Justified by faith,
to produce good fruit
when in You, Lord
they grow and take root.
Then kindness will be,
out of our hearts flowing
as acts of mercy
we continue showing.
Justified by faith,
the evidence of . . .
good works of charity
because Jesus we love!
~~~~~~~~
What doth it profit, my brethren,
though a man say he hath faith,
and have not works?
can faith save him?
Working Out My Salvation ~
Lord, may I continue,
to act on and work out
my salvation until . . .
I’ve not one ounce of doubt.
No doubt You won’t do,
in my life Your good pleasure
so I may discover
Your mercy is without measure.
Lord may I remain,
in Your Word submersed
until I’m completely
schooled and well versed.
Versed in Your love and grace,
the daily care for my soul
so that Your will for my life
will keep me in control.
Lord, may I with holy fear,
use care and due diligence
to work out my salvation . . .
with a trembling willingness!
~~~~~~~~
Wherefore, my beloved,
as ye have always obeyed,
not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my
absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God which worketh
in you both to will and to
do of his good pleasure.

If More People Would ~

If more people would say,
what they’d too like to hear . . .
less in this world would be
for us to dread and fear.
If more people would think,
about others feelings . . .
more gentle they would be
in their daily dealings.
If more people would act,
more helpful and thoughtful
less our world would be
so unfriendly and hostile.
If more people would engage,
in words considerate and kind
less anger and bitterness
in this world would we find.
If more people would do,
what they’d too like done
more hearts for Jesus . . .
could for Him be won!
~~~~~~~~
Therefore all things
whatsoever ye would
that men should do
to you, do ye even so
to them: for this is the
law and the prophets.
For Jesus Created ~
Hand molded by God,
for Jesus ~ created
knowing by the world
we would be hated.
Old man to new one,
awarded a rebirth
good works to do
here on the earth.
Guided and led,
by Spirit of knowledge
to His power and might
there is no stoppage.
Bearing good fruit,
full of God’s goodness
tempered with patience
of our faithfulness.
Created by God,
by His own hands . . .
the intricate design
of His eternal plans!
~~~~
For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath
before ordained that we
should walk in them.

Sandpaper Christians ~
Sandpaper Christians,
grate on your nerves . . .
their abrasive thoughts
they don’t conserve.
Raspy and rough,
full of harshness
need God to replace
their heart of hardness.
Sandpaper Christians,
rub the wrong way
thinking not before
the words they say.
Like an emery board,
that’s lost its grit
forget they are filled
with the Holy Spirit.
Sandpaper Christians,
gruff and so bold
need to learn just how
their peace to hold.
Outspoken and snarly,
their words are brutal
need to seek how to make
their lips more fruitful.
Sandpaper Christians,
on the nerves grate . . .
need God’s wisdom
to set them straight!

despiseth his neighbour:
but a man of understanding
holdeth his peace.

Hearts In Harmony ~
Hearts in harmony,
have the same tone
for they know Jesus
their sins did atone.
Hearts in unity,
have the same feeling
for they know His grace
brings inner healing.
Hearts in unison,
have the same pitch
for they know His love
makes the poor rich.
Hearts in cohesion,
have the same flavor
for they know the hope
of having a Savior.
Hearts in harmony,
have the same melody
for they know their future
will be heavenly!
~~~~~~
Fulfil ye my joy,
that ye be likeminded,
having the same love,
being of one accord,
of one mind.
Put On Your Grace Face ~
When other people’s walls,
you cannot bring down
and all they offer you
is a big, grumpy frown.
Put on your grace-face,
give them a smile
despite if they remain
to you hostile
When other people’s defenses,
you can’t break through
and bitter, cranky words
they throw at you.
But on your grace-face,
and to them be kind
even if they don’t pay
you back any mind.
When other people’s coldness,
you cannot penetrate
put on your grace-face . . .
and let Jesus’ love radiate!
~~~~~~~~~
And be ye kind one to another,
tenderhearted,
forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ’s sake
hath forgiven you.

Scatter Seeds Of Kindness ~
Scatter seeds of kindness,
as today you make your way
you don’t know just how much
they could make someone’s day.
Spread a wide old-grin,
get someone else to smile
it could make them feel
useful and worthwhile.
Extend a happy greeting,
sing out a bright hello
it may bring a little joy
to someone you don’t know.
Disperse some generosity,
it can go a long, long way
to energize and cheer up
someone sad you meet today.
Scatter seeds of kindness,
let goodwill be what you sow
how they make other’s feel
you may never really know!

A Life Drama Free ~
We all want to have,
a drama-free life
where love conquers
the everyday strife.
We all need to be,
less angry, more loving
we all need to become
more mercifully giving.
We all want to have,
a life free of drama
where peace surpasses
the everyday trauma.
We all need to be,
less cold and indifferent
we all need to render
grace more consistent.
We all want to have,
a life drama free . . .
and I know it starts
right here with me!
~~~~~~
But if ye bite and devour one another,
take heed that ye be not consumed
one of another.
And be ye kind one to another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ’s sake
hath forgiven you.
God’s Not Finished With Me ~
God’s not finished with me,
I know this to be true . . .
for, I can see all the things
that He has yet to do.
I realize He got started,
on me a long time ago
but, I also know there’s still
a lot of room for me to grow.
God’s not done with me,
all things beautiful take time
but, first He needed to chisel
away sin’s grit and grime.
I know when I came to Him,
my life was a big mess
but, a masterpiece takes time
and a lot of divine finesse.
God’s not finished with me,
He has a long way to go . . .
but, I am confident in this
when He is done, I will know!
~~~~~~~~
He hath made every thing
beautiful in his time:
Being confident of this very
thing, that he which hath
begun a good work in you
will perform it until the
day of Jesus Christ:

Grieve Not ~
Grieve not the Holy Spirit,
nor the effects of His grace
don’t let your appetites
be with corruption laced.
For mighty are the works,
He has in store for you
but, you must allow
His power to come through.
Grieve not the Holy Spirit,
with your lying, clamoring lips
do not cause Him grief
by your bitter. angry quips.
For He cannot provide,
His strength in your life
if you continue to give
others heartache and strife.
Grieve not the Holy Spirit,
for it is God’s seal on you
it’s the mark of the souls
who keep heaven in their view!
~~~~~~~~
of God, whereby ye are sealed
unto the day of redemption.”
