The Source of My Happiness ~

God, You are my portion,
the source of my happiness
Your favor and Your grace
fills my heart with joyfulness.

with hope and assurance

Faith And Assurance ~

Faith and assurance,
go hand in hand . . .
you can’t just have one
if your hope is to stand.

For faith without sureness,
is like a boat with a hole
allowing fear and doubt
to sink into your soul.

Assurance and Faith,
go side by side . .
you can’t just have one
if you want to abide.

For assurance without trust,
is like a bird without a nest
keeping us from finding
God’s true peace and rest.

is one God trusting
one that doesn’t . . .
go around fretting.

He is competent.

Blessings of Assurance ~

Each day in my Bible,
I am blessed to read
of every assurance
that I will ever need.

I have a warranty,
to God’s mercy and grace
I have evidence
one day I’ll see His face.

I have a verification,
of life eternally
I have the Holy Spirit
dwelling internally.

I have confidence,
God hears all my prayers
I have affirmation
Jesus takes my cares.

I have a guarantee,
temptation I can flee
I have a crown of life
that is awaiting me.

I have a promise,
death I will not fear
I have an insurance
Jesus is always near.

I have a sureness,
I’ll not hunger or thirst
I have the authority
to always seek God first.

I have a confirmation,
I am God’s child
I have a surety
in Jesus I’m reconciled.

Each time I read my Bible,
there are blessings of assurance
to which I’ll hold tight . . .
until Jesus’ reappearance!

The Lord is my portion,
He is my all and all
He satisfies my inner needs
when on His name I call.

I lack not one good thing,

for He is my faith supplier.

Trusting In Jesus ~

Put your trust in Jesus,
you, He will not disappoint
place your faith in Jesus
make Him your vantage point.

He will give you the insight,
to discern the truth from lies
and you will see all things
in and through His eyes.

Trust not in mankind,
or the deceit that they tell
place not your confidence
in the peace, they try to sell.

Place no trust in the world,
do not think things will bring
joy and happiness
to worldly riches do not cling.

Do not trust even yourself,
let not pride get in the way
from the righteous path
do not deviate or stray.

Place your assurance in Jesus,
keep His Word in you alive
do not think for one minute
without Him, you’d survive.

The Bridge ~

In Your Light ~

Lord . . .

As the moon beams fade,
along with the darken night
I ask You to walk with me
and lead me in Your light.

In the morning’s early luster,
amidst it’s golden hue
I rise up with the sun
and give my day to You.

While the air is yet cool,
before the dew sets in
I cover myself in Your love
till I feel Your warmth within.

Before the birds first song,
while all is calm and still
I meditate on Your Word . . .
and learn for me Your will.

Our Eternal Assurance ~

God’s love never fails,

that is our assurance
our eternal insurance.

Our soul He’ll protect,
He promises to perfect
our mind and our heart
when hope we impart.

He’s the light in our lamp,
redemption’s seal and stamp
the source of our power
no matter the day or hour.

He is the grace in our cup,
when on His Word we sup
our faith in Him will grow
the more about Him we know.

God is the Father, the Son

to us that is His assurance
