May Loyalty You Befriend ~

May loyalty you befriend,
let it settle in your mind
so that God’s will for you
you’ll want to go and find.

May faithfulness you seek,
each day your are living
so you too may be found
just like Him as forgiving.

May on your heart you write,
the Truth to the Way
so that you may follow
the Life everyday.

May you understand,
His mercy and favor
so that you may find
the the love of a Savior.

May loyalty you befriend,
may faithfulness you seek
today, tonight and tomorrow

To know God is to love Him,
with total devotion . . .
it’s more than just going
through insincere motions.

It’s with all of your heart,
your soul and your mind
not just with words
that are lukewarmly kind.

To love God is to trust Him,
to hunger and thirst
to put His kingdom
into your life first.

It’s knowing His will,
and His ways following
it’s Jesus’ life you find
that you are shadowing.

To love God is to praise Him,
with every inch of your being
for to love and to know Him
is adoration freeing!

He has just for you.

takes consecration
in His Word you’ll need
a firm foundation.

For you’ll need to make,
a real commitment
if you want to have
His involvement.

Knowing God’s will,
will take the guidance
of the Holy Spirit . . .
without any resistance!

I prayed for more faith,
in what I can’t see . . .
and low and behold
God gave it to me.

I prayed for more grace,
in my heart to grow . . .

in knowing God’s will
and low and behold
I learned to be still.

to others to show . . .

more of it I let go.

Daily Interruptions ~

Oh, Lord I want to know,
today what is Your will
I’m trying really hard . . .
to be calm and still.

But there are so many,
frequent interruptions . . .
I can’t seem to give You
my undivided devotion.

I try every morning,
to spend time with You
but there’s so many things
that clamor for me to do.

Things I can’t ignore,
though I really want to
things intruding on . . .
my time spent with You.

Lord, all these distractions,
help me to ignore . . .
so they won’t come between us
when I shut the door!

Micah 7:7

All Your Heart and Mind ~

Sometimes it is hard,
for us to stand still
while we are waiting . . .
to know God’s will.

The mind does not get,
the reason for the delay
causing our hearts to fall
into a state of dismay.

Sometimes it is difficult,
for us God to hear
sometimes it seems
He’s far away not near.

The silence is deafening,
it’s seems like an abyss
it feels as if our prayers
are being dismissed.

Sometimes it is challenging,
when God we can’t find . . .
tis why we must seek Him
with all our heart and mind!

Knowing God’s Will ~

Knowing God’s will,
takes a lot of patience
before He reveals
all He has awaiting us.

It takes a heart yielding,
to know just what to do
it takes a life willing
to wait till He shows how to.

Knowing God’s will,
takes a lot of believing
that His plans for you
one day you’ll be receiving.

It takes one step at a time,
made with faith and trust
for us to be able to see
the purposes He has for us.

Knowing God’s will
doesn’t come to us overnight
it takes time for God . . .
to reveal His divine insight!

Sometimes God Nudges Me ~

Sometimes God nudges me,
to see if I am listening
to that still small voice
inside me whispering.

He wants to see if I’ll heed,
to His inaudible leading
to see if to His guidance
I’m willing to be yielding.

He applies gentle pressure,
in my heart and on my mind
to see if His plans for me
I’m willing to go and find.

He wants to see if I’ll ask,
to be by Him directed
and if by His wisdom
I’m willing to be perfected.

Sometimes God nudges me,
with whispers calm and sill
to see if I am willing . . . .
to really know His will!

A Spiritual Spiral ~

When your life turns into,
a spiritual spiral downward
when all you see is chaos
as you look at yourself inward.

That’s when you need to stop,
whatever you are doing
and after God’s will for you
begin to start pursuing.

When your faith flounders,
don’t let your life fall back
instead turn to Jesus
for the trust that you lack.

For Jesus will be there,
to give His strength to you
and bless you with the power
for everything you must do.

When life begins to spin,
out of your control
God will preserve . . .
the saving of your soul!

Striving For Perfection ~

I strive for perfection,
and many times I fail . . .
but, whenever I do
I get back on the trail.

For what I know is good,
is worth my going for
and when I need strength
I ask Jesus to give me more.

I strain to find God’s will,
but, it I don’t always see
but, I am not deterred
to find His plan for me.

For what is acceptable,
is worth my pursuing
and when I need a push
I ask Jesus for renewing.

I strive for perfection,
I know I can achieve it
for, I know its attainable
through the Holy Spirit!
