Yes, No, Maybe So ~

Often we say yes,
when we should say no
because it’s easier
just to say and do so.

But, sometimes God,
wants us to say no
so that a bigger yes
He can reveal and show.

Often we say no,
when we should say yes
because we don’t want
to jump into the mess.

But, sometimes God,
wants us to say yes
so that others for Him
we can truly bless.

Sometimes we say yes,
other times it’s a no . . .
but, if we seek God’s will
it’ll never be a maybe so!

~~~~~~~~
Ephesians 6:6
Not with eyeservice,
as menpleasers; but as
the servants of Christ,
doing the will of God
from the heart;
Some Food For Thought ~
The thief comes not to give,
rather to steal and take
so that you will not care
about your eternal fate.
He comes not to save,
but, to destroy and kill
so that you will not care
about knowing God’s will.
The thief comes not to bring,
endless peace and harmony
rather to take you with him
into hell’s perpetual agony.
He comes not to bring,
life abundantly
but rather to eat away
at your faith constantly.
The thief your salvation,
doesn’t give a squat
so I pray this will be . . .
some food for thought!
John 10:7, 9-10
“I am the door: by me if any man
enter in, he shall be saved, and
shall go in and out, and find pasture.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal,
and to kill, and to destroy: I am come
that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly.”
1 Peter 5:8
“Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil,
as a roaring lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may devour:”
Crossroads~
Often at a crossroad,
we decide the way
we think we should go
before we even pray.
We trust our intuition,
so we make the choice
without listening to . . .
the Holy Spirit’s voice.
We start off down the path,
we thought was best for us
forgetting it’s God’s will
and not ours we should trust.
We grow more unsure,
with each step we take
until we start wishing
the choice we didn’t make.
So next time at a crossroad,
before you make a decision
pray first asking God to give  . . .
you guidance and wisdom!
~~~~~~~

James 1:5

“If any of you lack wisdom,
let him ask of God,
that giveth to all
men liberally, and
upbraideth not;
and it shall be given him.”

God’s Advantage Point ~

Today I prayed,
asking God what to do
and He responded . . .
My will you need to pursue.

I asked Him how,
His will I may know
and He answered
My Word the way will show.

So I bowed my head,
and opened up my mind
to the truth I knew
I was about to find.

And there it was in print,
what He wanted of me
as my eyes opened up
His answer I could see.

Today I prayed,
and God did not disappoint
for He showed me what to do
from His advantage point!

Ephesians 5:17

“Wherefore be ye not unwise,
but understanding what the
will of the Lord is.”

Walking Upright ~

Walking upright,
takes a lot of skill
but it’s easy . . .
if you know God’s will.

For in your heart,
God will speak
and the truth
you’ll want to seek.

Walking upright,
is not too hard
if you let God be
your shield and guard.

For He will show you,
His righteous way
and all things good
He’ll bring to your day.

Walking upright,
can surely be done . .
if you follow the steps
of God’s beloved Son!

~~~~~
Psalm 15:1-2
“Lord, who shall abide
in thy tabernacle? who shall
dwell in thy holy hill?
He that walketh uprightly,
and worketh righteousness,
and speaketh the truth
in his heart.”
Psalm 84:11
“For the Lord God is a sun
and shield: the Lord will
give grace and glory:
no good thing will he
withhold from them that
walk uprightly.”
The Way of the Upright ~
Teach me Lord,
to do Thy will
help me to be
patient and still.
Show me the way,
of the upright
give me wisdom
a holy insight.
Educate me Lord,
to know Your desire
help me to do
all You require.
Lead me along,
the path of goodness
help me to live
a life of pureness.
Teach me Lord,
the ways of Your will
with Your power
may my life You fill!
~~~~~

Psalm 143:10

“Teach me to do thy will;
for thou art my God:
thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land
of uprightness.”

Dependent of God ~

If on God we’re dependent,
we’ll want to know His will
before we go do this or that
we’ll gladly remain still.

We will pray for direction,
for guidance in all things
waiting until we receive
His reverent blessings.

If on God we’re to rely,
we’ll seek His holy counsel
whatever is not of His will
we will happily cancel.

We’ll need to understand,
His plans are not our own
once we see everything
is controlled from His throne.

If on God we’re dependent,
we’ll need to be submissive
to His will for our lives . . .
we must not be dismissive!

James 4:15

“For that ye ought to say,
If the Lord will,
we shall live,
and do this, or that.”

Seek God While It’s Early ~

In the morning hours,
when all is quiet and still
seek God and you’ll find
what is for you His will.

Ask Him for the wisdom,
as you commence your day
and He will show you
the righteousness of His way.

In the early light,
when all is calm and silent
seek God with a heart
on Him trusting and reliant.

Ask Him to show you,
the plans He has for you
inquire of Him guidance
in all His has for you to do.

In the morning hours,
seek God while it’s still dawn
and throughout the day  . . .
you’ll find yourself Spirit drawn!

~~~~~~
Psalm 143:8
“Cause me to hear thy
lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way
wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee.”
A Heart Open ~
A heart open,
to God’s searchings
is a heart ready
for His teachings.
It’s a heart willing,
for God to make known
His plans and purposes
the way to be shown.
A heart open,
is one that will pray
it doesn’t matter
if it’s night or day.
It’s a heart knowing,
God’s will is the best
if it wants to have
true peace and rest.
A heart open,
to God’s eternal good
is a heart working for Jesus
just as it should!
~~~~~~~~

Jeremiah 17:10

“I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins, even to give
every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit
of his doings.”

What Is Your Will Lord ~

What is Your will Lord,
what would You have me do
how will I know the answer
is coming from You?

What will I need Lord,
what of me do You require
how will I know just what
is Your righteous desire?

What is Your will Lord,
what do You want of me
how will I know the path
when the way I can’t see?

What must I yet have,
what is it that I’m lacking
how will I know for sure
I have Your divine backing?

What is Your will Lord,
tis my hearts plea . . .
for I know you have
great plans for me!

~~~~~~
Proverbs 25:2
“It is the glory of God
to conceal a thing:
but the honour of kings
is to search out a matter.”
Proverbs 19:21
“There are many devices in a man’s heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord,
that shall stand.”
The Path of Truth ~
Lord, today I need
to know what is Your will
and until You show me . . .
I’ll just wait and be still.
I need Your guidance,
for the road ahead
I need the assurance
I will be Spirit lead.
Lord, today I need,
to heed what You say
so on the path of truth
I will be able to stay.
I need to learn to wait,
for the right directions
I need You to teach me
how to pay attention.
Lord, today I need to know,
what You’d have me to do
for I don’t want to walk . . .
down this road without You!
~~~~~~~~

Psalm 25:5

“Lead me in thy truth,
and teach me: for thou art
the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day”

How Troubling to God ~

I wonder how troubling,
to God, that it is . .
that when we need advice
we don’t go to Him, for His?

I wonder if He scratches,
His head in amazement
to how with waiting on Him
we’ve become so impatient.

I wonder how disturbing,
to God, that it is . . .
that when we need strength
we don’t go to Him, for His

I wonder if He shakes,
His head in utter confusion
as to why we think we can do
anything without His inclusion.

I wonder how distressing,
to God, that it is . . .
that when we need direction
we don’t go to Him, for His?

I wonder if He moves,
His head from side to side
thinking how much we need
to learn in Him to abide.

I wonder how we would be,
if in God we would just trust
I wonder if then we’d see . . .
just how much He loves us!

~~~~~~
Nahum 1:7
“The Lord is good,
a strong hold
in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them
that trust in him.”
Prayers For You My Friend ~
God put you my friend,
on my heart today
He told me for you
He wanted me to pray.
So I went to Him,
while on my knees
and sent up for you
theses heartfelt pleas.
Oh, Father whatsoever,
is Your perfect will
till my friend knows
help them to be still.
Take away their fears,
guard their heart and mind
so that on this journey
your peace they can find.
Be with them always,
do not leave their side
let the Light in Your Word
be their constant guide.
Give them Your power,
the courage to press on
let them claim victory
in the name of Your Son.
Help them not to get tired,
in the battle they must fight
let them feel energized
with the Holy Spirit’s might.
Oh, Father I believe,
you listen to our prayers
and so I come to You  . . .
with my friend’s earthly cares!
~~~~~~~~~

James 5:16

“Confess your faults one to another,
and pray one for another,
that ye may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer
of a righteous man availeth much.”
