Did You Hear The Good News ~

Did you hear the Good News,
how Jesus died for you . . .
were you told about His grace
truly making all things new?

Did you hear the Good News,
how you can be forgiven
why Jesus came to redeem
your sinful condition?

Did you hear the Good News,
have you come to know
how Jesus washes your sins
turning them white as snow?

Did you hear the Good News,
God remembers your sin no more
how when Jesus arose
He opened to you, heavens door?

Did you hear the Good News,
before God you’ll stand blameless
for Jesus was the sacrifice . . .
making you His bride, spotless!

~~~~~~~~~
1 Peter 1:18-19
“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not
redeemed with corruptible things,
as silver and gold, from your vain
conversation received by tradition
from your fathers;
But with the precious blood
of Christ, as of a lamb
without blemish and without spot:”
Our Life-Savior ~
Oh, what a Savior,
oh, what a safeguard
Jesus became for all
our heavenly lifeguard.
When to Jesus we come,
repentant and contrite
He’ll wash all our sins
from crimson to white.
Oh, what a Savior,
oh, what a surety
forgiveness of sin
is our security.
God’s incredible mercy,
Christ’s magnificent grace
is now for every heart
to eternally embrace.
Oh, what a life-line.
oh, what a life-preserver
for, Jesus truly is . . .
the world’s life-Savior!
“For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only
begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.”
Bearing Good Fruits ~
Faith that is voiced,
faith that is shared
is a faith that knows
good fruit it’s to bear.
Faith that is productive,
faith that is fruitful
is a faith God makes
for His kingdom useful.
Faith that is spoken,
faith that is conveyed
is a faith that God needs
so hearts can be swayed.
Faith that is ministering,
faith that is life-saving
is a faith in Jesus
worthy of our embracing.
Faith that is hidden,
faith that we don’t share
is a faith in God . . . .
leading others no where!
James 2:17
“Even so faith,
if it hath not works,
is dead, being alone.”
Matthew 7:16-20
“Ye shall know them by their fruits.
Do men gather grapes of thorns,
or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree
bringeth forth good fruit;
but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring
forth evil fruit,
neither can a corrupt tree
bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth
not forth good fruit
is hewn down, and cast
into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits
ye shall know them.”
The Perfect Way of God ~
God’s way is perfect,
it leads to His Son
where grace and forgiveness
is offered to everyone.
God’s way is peaceful,
if you trust and believe
God’s mercy and favor
for yours sins you’ll receive.
God’s way is righteous,
it is tried and true
it’s where you will find
why Jesus died for you.
God’s way is direct,
it is holy and straight
leading all who follow it
through the narrow gate.
God’s way is perfect,
it leads to salvation
removing the curse . . .
of eternal damnation!
~~~~

Psalm 18:30

“As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those
that trust in him.”

A New Covenant ~

God will bestow,
on each and everyone
life eternal
if we believe in His Son.

Through Jesus’ blood,
we have a new covenant
everlasting life instead . . .
of eternal punishment.

Through God’s mercy,
we’ll have eternal glory
tis why Jesus’ death
became mandatory.

When satan’s  defeated,
a crown of life we’ll receive
for all who until death
still trust and believe.

A ceaseless peace,
an eternal inheritance
all bestow unto us . . .
through God benevolence!

“And to Jesus the mediator
of the new covenant,
and to the blood of
sprinkling, that speaketh
better things than that of Abel.”

A New Earth and Heaven ~

When I think about,
when the earth will be no more
into the Word of God I go
digging deeper as I explore.

I find throughout the pages,
the warnings God has given us
to seek His face while it can be found
and in Him, to learn to trust.

I see for generations,
man’s rebellion against God’s ways
and for the lack of faith
how we like sheep are led astray.

I come upon the verses,
when God knew what He had to do
and so He sent His begotten Son
to bring salvation to me and you.

When I think about,
when the heaven will be no more
I think about the new earth . . .
and all for us it has in store!

Without The First Rain ~

Without the first rain,
there can’t be a last harvest
without the Son’s Light
all would be in darkness.

Without the spring showers,
the seed of truth can’t grow
without the fresh crops
Jesus no one would know.

Without the latter rain,
there be nothing to reap
without God’s eternal mercy
over sin, no one would weep.

Without the outpouring,
of the Holy Spirit
without the Word of God
no one for heaven would be fit.

Without the first rain,
the latter rain can’t come
so that Jesus can return
and set up His Kingdom!

~~~~~~~
James 5:7
“Be patient therefore,
brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth
for the precious fruit of the earth,
and hath long patience for it,
until he receive the
early and latter rain.”
Not One Should Perish ~
Thank you Father,
for taking Your time
so You can call
“more people mine.
Thank you Father,
for being slow
lest Your anger
we’d all know.
Thank You Father,
for not being slack
so Your lost sheep
may come back.
Thank You Father,
for being forgiving
when we repent
of ungodly living.
Thank You Father,
for Your desire . . .
not one should perish
in hell’s fire!
~~~~~

2 Peter 3:9

“ The Lord is not slack
concerning his promise,
as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering
to us-ward,
not willing that any
should perish,
but that all should
come to repentance.

True Peace and Rest ~

If you want to find,
true peace an contentment
then in your heart to God
make a real commitment.

For, peace and happiness,
in this world can’t be had
as it only offers you . . .
passing fancy’s and fad’s.

If you want to find,
true peace and serenity
then your life from God
you can’t live separately.

For, true peace and joy,
just cannot be found
’til in your soul you know
you are heaven bound.

If you want to find,
true peace and rest
then your heart to Jesus
you must invest!

~~~~~~~
John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you,
my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth,
give I unto you.
Let not your heart
be troubled, neither
let it be afraid.”
Not Mine, But God’s ~
God’s strength, not mine,
my sin, His forgiveness
God’s power, not mine
my battles, His fight.
God’s desires, not mine,
my needs, His supply
God’s demands, not mine
my weakness, His might.
God’s faithfulness, not mine,
my defiance, His mercy
God’s compassion, not mine
my rebellion, His favor.
God’s plans, not mine,
my bad, His good
God’s time, not mine
my life, His design.
God’s kindness, not mine
my shame, His grace
God’s Son, my salvation
my guilt, His redemption.
God’s strength, not mine,
my hope, His promise
God’s peace, not mine
my trust, His alone!
My Secret Place ~
In that secret place,
is where I long to dwell
it’s when with my soul
all is quiet and well.
Underneath the shadow,
of God’s love and grace
it’s where my heart finds
a quiet resting place.
With the most High,
is where I yearn to be
it’s when in my mind
a calm settles in me.
With the Almighty,
in an untroubled solitude
where with His mercy
I am gloriously renewed.
In that secret place,
where with God I find
true peace and stillness
for my heart and mind!
High shall abide under
the shadow of the Almighty.”
To God Be The Glory ~
To God Be the Glory,
this is why I write . . .
to His honor
for His delight.
Sharing my needs,
up lifting yours
so together our hope
we can explore.
To God be the glory,
to Him be the praise
for knowing His Word
to following His ways.
Praying to God,
learning to be still
so we can understand
His most perfect will.
To God be the glory,
this is why I do write . . .
using the grace given me
to shine His saving light!
The Mercy of God is Powerful ~
The Mercy of God is potent,
it can loosen every chain
holding one of His children
in the torment of their pain.
The mercy of God is powerful,
it breaks the sinful binds
it restores and it can heal
His children’s hearts and minds.
The mercy of God is delivering,
it weakens wickedness’ grasp
it gives His children strength
from satan’s hold, to unclasp.
The mercy of God is freeing,
it separates good from evil
His children it will save
from the schemes of the devil.
The mercy of God is bountiful,
it’s sufficient and plenteous
His children know intimately
just how much, He is gracious!
“The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.”
Too Numerous To Count ~
When I look at the stars,
as I watch their twinkling
I can see God’s blessings
in them glistening.
I see the star of my faith,
shinning so ever bright
for, God has blessed me
with His saving Light.
I see the star of my trust,
hanging in the sky above
for, God has blessed me
with His mercy and love.
I see the star of my hope,
it’s the brightest one
for, God has blessed me
with the grace of His Son.
When I look at the stars,
as they twinkle all about
I’m reminded God’s blessings
are just too numerous to count!
~~~~~~~~~

Genesis 15:5

and said, Look now toward heaven,
and tell the stars, if thou be
able to number them:
and he said unto him,
So shall thy seed be.”

God Of The Hopeful ~

God of the watchful,
Lord of the heart
establish Your ways
upon a new day’s start.

God of the trustful,
Lord of the soul
gives us Your strength
our day be in control.

God of the faithful,
Lord of the mind
may your peace
today we again find.

God of the hopeful,
Lord of our life
give us the courage
to give You our strife.

God of the watchful,
Lord of the heart
from Your righteous way
today, may we not part!

Open Our Eyes Lord ~

Open our eyes Lord,
to all of Your wonder
on Your very Word
may we daily ponder.

Let us see You,
in all of Your goodness
give us an eye-full
of Your loving-kindness.

Open our eyes Lord,
to all of the splendor
of living a life . . .
to You, in surrender.

Let us always dwell,
on all that is right
give us a glimpse into
the lamp of Your light.

Open our eyes Lord,
to Your Word wondrous
so we may see how much
to us, You are generous!

that I may behold
wondrous things
out of thy law.”

God Has A Time For Everything ~

God has a time,
for everything
and for every one
new season’s He brings.

There’s a time of peace,
and a time of bleakness
a time of spiritual health
and a time of sickness.

There’s a time to rise up,
and a time to regress
a time of fearfulness
and a time to onward press.

There’s a time of hope,
and a time of testing
a time of great faith
and a time of wrestling.

There’s a time to praise,
and a time to mourn
a time to rejoice
and a time to be reborn.

For every thing,
God has a reason
a time for all things
in their due season!

A Garden Walk ~

Come walk with me Lord,
in the coolness of the day
from Your presence
let me not hide away.

Come stroll with me Lord,
through Your Word garden
to the sound of Your voice
may my ears harken.

Come walk with me Lord,
reveal to me Your will
lead me to the streams
where Living Water’s still.

Come along with me Lord,
tell me all I should know
chide me if You must . . .
so my faith in You may grow.

Come walk with Me Lord,
in the coolness of the day
take my hand in Yours
and guide me in Thy ways!

~~~~~~~~
Genesis 3:8
of the Lord God walking
in the garden in the
Whatever God Wills ~
God can do,
whatever He wills
He can move mountains
or turn them into hills.
God can make,
the largest sea to part
He can soften
the stoniest heart.
God can heal,
the sick and the lame
He can remove
the guilt and the shame.
God can turn,
water into wine
He can change minds
cause them to His align.
Oh, the wondrous things,
God wills to do . . .
oh, the marvelous things
He can do in you!
and doest wondrous things:
thou art God alone.”
We Need A Miracle ~
Lord, on this day of celebration,
of freedom and liberty
I am so sad to see . . .
in our country so much hostility.
It grieves my heart,
to see the hateful division
I cringe at the thought
of the future, I envision.
It sickens my stomach,
when I watch the nightly news
at the violence stemming
from those with opposing views.
I wish we’d come together,
on this night of elation
and see our individual need
for Jesus and salvation.
Lord, on this day of celebration,
we need a healing of our land
for, it will take a true miracle . . .
if united we are to stand!
~~~~~~~~

2 Chronicles 7:14

“If my people,
which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.”

Unashamed and Unafraid ~

Unashamed and unafraid,
tis what I want to be
oh, my sweet Savior
I want to be bold for Thee.

I want to be fearless,
brave and courageous
I want my love for You
to be to all contagious.

Unashamed and unafraid,
to tell the Gospel truth
for You my Lord, I want to be
a dauntless, daring sleuth.

I want to be audacious,
to feel no fear or shame
I want to be bold and daring
whenever I say your name.

Unashamed and unafraid,
Lord, tis all I want to be
my trust and faith in You
is all I want others to see!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Romans 1:16-17
“For I am not ashamed
of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God
unto salvation to every one
that believeth;
to the Jew first,
and also to the Greek.
For therein is the
righteousness of God
revealed from faith to faith:
as it is written,
The just shall live by faith.”
The Heart that Cries ~
The heart cries,
from deep within
with the tears of joy
from the shame of sin.
It knows to God,
it deserves nothing
but, has found now
He is its everything.
The heart weeps,
deep from the soul
with tears of joy
God now consoles.
It recognizes,
the need for God’s favor
sees His mercy through
the grace of a Savior.
For, the heart mournful,
over its sins
is the heart that  . . .
Jesus truly wins!
worketh repentance
not to be repented of:
but the sorrow of the
world worketh death.
Tweet This ~
I’ve a message,
that I’ll be texting
to all my friends
my faith I’ll be flexing.
I will make it quick,
maybe just tweet it
I know the words
in the criteria will fit.
I will make it fast,
just a few characters
my message will meet
all the parameters.
It won’t take too long,
to tweet or text if off
some will understand it
other’s may just scoff.
It’s really quite simple,
this message I will send
Jesus loves you
and died to be your friend!
