With A Love That’s True ~

I love you Lord,
more than I know
I love You more . . .
as my faith grows.

For the closer,
I become to You . . .
I see how much
for me that You do.

I love you Lord,
more than I think
I love you more . . .
as my ego shirks.

For the nearer,
to You I become . . .
the more to You
my pride succumbs.

I love You Lord,
with a love that’s true . . .
the more I grow
Lord, down into You!

Perfect In God’s Sight ~

Lord, help me to be,
in Your sight perfect
on Your holiness
may I daily reflect.

Let me not be blind,
to that which I know
keeping Your wisdom
from in me to flow.

Lord, help me to live,
a life to You pleasing
let my heart reflect
one in Your keeping.

Let me not be deaf,
to Your imploring
to where hidden flaws
I am still storing.

Lord, help me to be,
in Your sight faultless
help me to be  . . .
like Jesus flawless!

The Fullness of Jesus ~

Lord, give me the fullness,
found in only You . . .
give me the completeness
of being one with You.

Give me the inner dwelling,
of Your Spirit’s peace
keep Your grace flowing
so my hope will never cease.

Lord, give me the wholeness,
found in only You . . .
give me the righteousness
to be the life of You.

Reveal to me the liberty,
found in Your redemption
give me the final victory
of eternal salvation.

Lord, give me the fullness,
found in only You . . .
give me the stillness
of the blessedness of You!

Aside From Jesus ~

Aside from Jesus,
I’m totally worthless
without Him all I do
is utterly pointless.

The more I grow in Him,
I see my nothingness
the more I know about Him
I see my hopelessness.

Aside from Jesus,
my life is fruitless
without His Spirit
I’m more than useless.

The more He grows in me,
I see my own weakness
the more He means to me
I see my helplessness.

Aside from Jesus,
I’m totally bankrupt
without His grace . . .
I completely corrupt!

As I Get Older ~

Though I’m getting older,
I just keep growing . . .
for much greater things
God keeps on showing.

I never get tired,
uninterested or bored
for I’m always learning
more about my Lord.

Though I’m getting older,
I just keep thriving
as the Word of God
becomes more exciting.

I never get weary,
reading and knowing
for the wisdom I’m getting
keeps my faith flowing.

Though I’m getting older,
the more I can see
the greater things  . . .
God keeps teaching me!

God Gave Me Ears and Eyes ~

God gave me my ears,
He made them able to hear
His voice in His Word
so the truth can be heard.

He wants them to learn,
He wants them to discern
what for me He desires
to do what He requires.

God gave me my eyes,
He made then to be wise
so His way I could see
clearly in front of me.

He wants them to apply,
He wants them to rely
on Him for all things
till eternal hope springs.

God gave me my eyes,
so to Him I’d be wise
He gave me my ears . . .
so His voice I could hear!

More of You Lord ~

More of You Lord, more of You,
in the things I say and do
less of me Lord, less of me
so more like You I can be.

Lord, I give You my doubts,
take with them all my fear
move me closer to You
so I can draw to You near.

More of You Lord, more of You,
oh Dear Lord, can’t You see
I want to live just for You
and die to all of me.

Lord, I give You all my love,
take my heart and mind too
be my soul’s true reflection
till all I see is all of You.

More of Your will, less of mine,
give me eyes no longer blind
show me Your saving Light
so more of You I can find!

The School Of Hard-Knocks ~

The school of hard-knocks,
can be oh, so wrenching
but, we must remain . . .
to our Bible’s clenching.

For grueling it can be,
when we’re tried and tested
but, in the Word we must stay
one-hundred percent invested.

The school of hard-knocks,
can be oh, so harrowing
as the righteous road . . .
seems to keep narrowing.

For distressing it can be,
when we are reprimanded
from the lessons we learn
of what Jesus commanded.

The school of hard-knocks,
can be oh, so painful
but we must remain . . .
obediently faithful!

Everyday Can Be A Struggle ~

Everyday can be a struggle,
when from God’s Word we stray
every hour is more miserable
when we don’t trust and  pray.

Everything will look impossible,
when His hope is not there
every problem looks bleaker
when we don’t believe He cares.

Every worry seems unbearable,
when His mercy we don’t claim
every care is more insufferable
when we don’t call upon His name.

Every mountain seems higher,
when we climb it all alone
every valley is a little deeper
when we wander off on our own.

Everyone who goes about,
doing whatever it is they will . . .
will never know the kind of peace
that only God can instill!

Stuck In Regret ~

Trapped in bitterness,
can’t break free
reliving the way
things use to be?

Stuck in regret,
can’t shake loose
yesterday sorrows
hang on like a noose?

Trapped in misery,
can’t seem to let go
past disappointments
on your face show?

Paralyzed by resentment,
loathing and disgust
can’t find anything or one
anymore you can trust?

Well don’t let the past,
make you its hostage . . .
instead let Jesus free you
from yesterday’s bondage!

Work Out Your Own Salvation ~

You can exercise,
every day at the gym
you can lift weights
to keep fit and trim.

But, if you’re not living,
a Godly life . . .
your soul will experience
eternal strife.

You can go to a clubhouse,
in the day or at night
you can keep your physic
noticeable strong and tight.

But, if you’re not working,
out your own salvation
you could be headed
for eternal damnation.

You can run a marathon,
or any other race
you can groom yourself
to take first place.

But, if you’re not training,
each day for Godliness
you just might miss out on . . .
having everlasting bliss!

but godliness is profitable unto all

Walking In the Spirit ~

When you walk in the Spirit,
you will live in Jesus’ light
all things will be clearer
everything will look bright.

For the Spirit will change you,
your mind He will capture
fill it with secure thoughts
of the upcoming rapture.

When you walk in the Spirit,
you’ll have a worldly guide
someone who will help you
to keep faith in your stride.

For the Spirit will lead you,
on the path of righteousness
helping you to live a life
in the power of faithfulness.

When you walk in the Spirit,
you’ll repel the darkness
for the Light of Jesus . . .
will help keep you sinless!

I’m A Work In Progress ~

I’m a work in progress,
you likely are one too . . .
each day Jesus is working
in us something new.

His grace is transforming us,
to be sin fighting saints
He’s shaping us to live a life
with principles and restraints.

He is molding our minds,
to be clean and spotless
He shaping our hearts
to live pure and flawless.

He knows all the lumps,
that need to be reformed
He’s modeling our lives
till in Him we’re transformed.

We have unlimited potential,
He’ll never be finished with us
but, you and I must believe
His remolding is always just.

I’m a work in progress,
you likely too are one . . .
each day God is shaping us
into the image of His Son!

God’s Not Finished With Me ~

God’s not finished with me,
I know this to be true . . .
for, I can see all the things
that He has yet to do.

I realize He got started,
on me a long time ago
but, I also know there’s still
a lot of room for me to grow.

God’s not done with me,
all things beautiful take time
but, first He needed to chisel
away sin’s grit and grime.

I know when I came to Him,
my life was a big mess
but, a masterpiece takes time
and a lot of divine finesse.

God’s not finished with me,
He has a long way to go . . .
but, I am confident in this
when He is done, I will know!

Here I am Lord ~

Here I am Lord,
take me as I am
work inside of me
as only You can.

Do what you must,
so in You I’ll trust
do what You’ve got to
to keep me close to You.

Here I am Lord,
here is the all of me
my mind, heart and soul
I’m offering up to Thee.

Do that thing You do,
to make me apart of You
do what You need to
to keep me staying true.

Here I am Lord,
coming to You as I am
for You to make me . . .
just as faithful as a lamb!

Passionately Insatiable ~

Lord let me not get,
too old to keep learning
keep my eagerness
for knowledge burning.

Let me not become,
too comfortable
thinking I am . . .
oh, so knowledgeable.

Lord, let me continue,
to keep on growing
may I never grow tired
of more of You knowing.

Let me not be,
content in my ways
so I may gain wisdom
for the rest of my days.

Lord let me not get,
too old and lackadaisical
keep my knowledge for You
passionately insatiable!

A Changed Heart ~

Change my heart Lord,
till it reflects only You
till all I can see
is Your image inside me.

Change the way it beats,
till it throbs after You
till its keeps pace
with Your love and grace.

Change my heart Lord,
til it keeps time with Yours
till with Yours it’s in rhythm
pulsating with Your wisdom.

Change the way is flutters,
til it adapts to You
till it can adjust
so it may always trust.

Change my heart Lord,
til with Yours its fine tuned
til it is conformed . . .
so I can be transformed!

Examine My Heart Lord ~

Lord, search my heart,
from the inside out
tell me where You find
places of fear and doubt.

See if You see in me,
any remaining skepticism
put into my heart
by religious dogmatism.

Lord, pull in the reins,
of my heart today
harness them to follow
Your righteous ways.

Yank hard if You must,
so closer to You I’ll turn
jerk ’em if You have to
so in hell I’ll not burn.

Lord, check the fruit,
for You, I am bearing
if any be rotting . . .
be quick with Your paring.

Make sure all my doings,
are being done for You
oh, Lord examine my heart
till for You it proves true!

A Searched Heart ~

When God searches,
man’s innermost being
He looks for a heart
trusting and believing.

He knows every intent,
behind every deed
for, every heart to Him
is an open book to read.

When God searches,
man’s inward parts
He searches the core
of everyone’s hearts.

He can see right through,
the facade, the deceit
for, He can detect
the heart’s every beat.

When God searches,
man’s imaginations
He looks for a heart
full of appreciation.

He understands the mind,
thoughts, He interprets
He knows the ones . . .
having eternal purpose.

When God searches,
He tries the reins
so into each heart
He can come and reign.

For, a searched heart,
God needs to refine
so that with His . . .
it can forever align!

Measurements of Faith ~

if-i-could-measure-my-faith-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

If I were to measure my faith,
I would see that every foot
was achieved inch by inch
as my trust in God I put.

If I were to take a yard stick,
I would see that each notch
marked all the times over me
God faithfully has watched.

If I were to take a tape measure,
roll it out as far as it could go
I would see the length of time
for my faith in God to grow.

If I were to take a measuring wheel,
push it around night and day
I would see the path it had to take
for me to find the narrow way.

If I were to measure my faith,
I could calculate just how long
it took for God to work in me . . .
to make my trust in Him this strong!

Romans 12:3

“For I say, through the grace
given unto me, to every man
that is among you, not to think
of himself more highly than
he ought to think; but to think
soberly, according as God
hath dealt to every man
the measure of faith.”

Bible Crunches ~

bible-crunches-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Today I’m exercising,
going to let it rip
going to strengthen
tighten up faith’s grip.

I’ll go all the way,
get Scripture sculpted
so my belief in God
can never get corrupted.

I’ll do Bible crunches,
tone up my Gospel flab
so I can be ready
to fight off Satan’s jabs.

I’ll do a full workout,
I’m going to optimize
so my trust in God
can’t be compromised.

Today I’m exercising,
going to securely stick it
for, I’ll be working out . . .
with the Holy Spirit!

In God’s Training Room ~

in-gods-training-room-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

In God’s training room,
there’s a lot for us to learn
for, He wants to teach us
He’s with us at every turn.

We wrestle with the pain,
weep long into the night
so God can show us
the joy in His morning light.

We confront our sorrow,
the source of our fears
so God can collect for us
in His bottle all our tears.

We struggle with our past,
we scramble with its strife
so God can help us see
the temperance of this life.

In God’s training room,
He’s teaching us to know
all thing work for good
to them who love Him so!

My Daily Journey ~

my-yearly-journey-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Lord, in my daily journey,
to get closer to You . . .
I’m happy to see how much
my faith, in You grew.

For, I’ve grown in grace,
mercy and forbearance
as You keep teaching me
all about perseverance.

I’m learning to be content,
no matter what life brings
as You show me how to be
thankful for all things.

You’ve instructed me,
all about fruit bearing
producing in me an attitude
more giving and caring.

Lord, I know my journey,
isn’t over quite yet . . .
but, the longer that I have
the closer to You, I will get!

A New Spiritual Life ~

a-new-spiritual-life-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

A Spiritual life,
is a brand new life
for it is the end
to the old man’s strife.

A Spiritual life,
is a life abundant
it is a life of victory
joyful and triumphant.

A Spiritual life,
breaks the bondage
to the written law
it’s no longer a hostage.

A Spiritual life,
brings faith about
for a spiritual life
in God never doubts.

A Spiritual life,
makes all things possible
it believes with God
nothing is impossible.

A Spiritual life,
is a life made new
for Jesus’ Spirit
now dwells in you!

Faith Stretching ~

faith-streching-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Lord, today . . .
I’ll be exercising
for my faith can use
some real stretching.

I’ll be doing,
some strength training
so towards the mark
I can keep straining.

My perseverance,
seems a little wobbly
so I’ll be working on
a more trusting strategy.

I’ll need to do,
some heavy lifting
so my Bible I’ll pick up
to keep me from drifting.

My endurance,
I will be addressing
so into the goal . . .
I can keep on pressing.

Lord, today . . .
my faith I’m exercising
and I need Your Spirit
to do the energizing!

Faith Tried and Tested ~

The testing of Your faith used with permission Doorpost Verses

My faith grows,
from being tested
it gets stronger
when in the Word
I am rested.

My faith rises,
from being redirected
it gets keener
when with God
I stay connected.

My faith increases,
from being tried
it gets sharper
when in Jesus
I faithfully abide.

My faith bounds,
from being proven
it gets firmer
when in the Spirit
my life gets movin’.

When my faith is tried,
I don’t think it’s odd
when it’s being tested
to me, it’s not weird
because I trust in God!

Spiritual Inventory ~

Spiritual Inventory ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I’m taking inventory,
of my spiritual progress
going to be weighing
my increase, my digress.

Going to take stock,
to see if I’ve grown
going to be looking for
the gifts I’ve blown.

I’m going to catalog,
how much fruit I’ve got
going to see if its usable
or if its starting to rot.

Going to be searching,
down deep into my soul
see if I’m warehousing
any areas I still control.

I’m taking inventory,
doing me some stock taking
because one day to God . . .
I’ll be giving an accounting!

Touched Anew ~

Touched Anew ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Lord, touch me anew,
refresh my heart
upon my soul
new mercy impart.

Give me a fresh look,
into Your righteousness
let me see Your favor
with a new clearness.

Let me trust you,
with a new confidence
so I may see the light
of Your providence.

Let me see Your grace,
from a new point of view
so my mind can gain
raw insights into You.

Lord, touch me anew,
refresh Your spirit in me
freshly imprint on my heart
why it is, I love Thee!

We Are The Clay ~

We Are the Clay ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

The clay cannot tell,
the Potter what to do
if it’s to be made . . .
into something new.

For, it is full of lumps,
scarred and marred places
and it needs His grace
to fill in all the spaces.

The clay cannot say,
to the Potter do this
it needs to be pliable
or blessings it will miss.

For, it is full of cracks,
fissures and large gaps
and it needs His mercy
to bind up all the scraps.

The clay cannot tell,
the Potter what to do
it must remain pliant . . .
until He’s good and through!

Fruit Bearing ~

Fruit Bearing ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

If we want to bear good fruit,
if we want to stay green
then off the Word of God
we must constantly glean.

We need the waters of life,
to be on a constant flow
we need our roots nourished
so our faith in God can grow.

If we are to spread out,
if we are to far reach
then we must live the life
we’re so willing to preach.

If we are not to faint,
if we are not to wither
then we need to grow smaller
so God can become bigger.

If we want to be blessed,
we need to keep our hope alive
and into the Word of God
we must constantly dive!
~~~~~~~~
Jeremiah 17:7-8
“Blessed is the man that trusteth
in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
“For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh, but her
leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful
in the year of drought, neither shall cease
from yielding fruit.”
What God’s Begun ~
What God's Begun ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
God’s been working,
in me I know . . .
and what He began
is starting to show.
He’s given my mind,
a transformation
to follow His ways
until my completion.
He’s taken my heart,
once made of stone
gave me a new one
just like His own.
He’s breathed new life,
into my dead soul
gave it His Spirit
to be in control.
Every day of my life,
He is working in me
I know its His image
He’s wanting to see.
God is not finished,
with what He’s begun
and I can hardly wait . . .
until with me He’s done!
There is A Cry ~
There Is A Cry ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~
There is a cry,
deep in my heart
a plea I make upon
a new year start . . .
Transform me Lord,
teach me your ways
instruct and train me
the rest of my days.
Test me Lord,
try me through
impress on me
the image of You.
Touch me Lord,
heal me inside
so Your Spirit
will always abide.
Think of me Lord,
forget me not
keep me always
in Your thought.
Rely on me Lord,
to follow Your will
believe I’ll wait
trust me to be still.
There is a cry,
for God to impart
into my soul . . .
His very own heart!
unto God that performeth
all things for me.”
A Confident Future ~
A Confident Future ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
I’m grateful for the past,
for the valley’s I’ve been in
for they have given me . . .
the strength I have within.
I’m grateful for my failures,
and yes, even my every loss
for they have all lead me . . .
to the foot of the cross.
I’m grateful for the pain,
of a heart that’s been broken
for to the mercies of God . . .
my soul has been awoken.
I’m grateful for the process,
I have been put through
for Lord, it has brought me
to be much closer to You.
I’m confident of the future,
though not sure were it’ll lead
but I’ve true peace knowing . . .
with God, I’ll have all I need!
Growing in God’s Grace ~
~ CHRISTitan poetry by deborahann ~grow-in-grace 2 IBible Verses
It’s a slow thing,
this growing in God’s grace
it’s a minute by minute thing
we all need to embrace.
It’s a process,
a little here, a little there
it takes a lot of practice
to give Jesus our every care.
It’s a development,
finding God’s rest and peace
it’s quite an accomplishment
not to ever quit or cease.
It takes practice,
this learning to be still
it’s not easy waiting
on knowing God’s will.
It takes itty-bitty steps,
to reach that mountain top
it takes a lot of self-denial
lest half way we would stop.
It’s a slow thing,
this growing in God’s grace
but it sure makes it easier . . .
when His love we embrace!
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge
of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
I love Jesus Because ~
I Love Jesus Because ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
I love Jesus because,
He first loved me
and through His life
He taught me how to be.
He is always gentle,
considerate and selfless
He’s never thoughtless
or with my heart, careless.
I love the Jesus because,
He loves me patiently
He’s always sympathetic
He doesn’t anger easily.
He is always caring,
tender-hearted and kind
my sins and my wrongs
He doesn’t ever remind.
I love Jesus because,
He shows me true grace
my problems eagerly
He’s willing to embrace.
He is always good,
fair and reasonable
He is never resentful
or unapproachable.
I love Jesus because,
His love has taught me
how with others . . .
He wants my love to be!
Striving for Perfection ~
Striving for Perfection ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Photo Creation Swap
Every day I am striving,
for perfection . . .
every day I am looking
for God’s direction.
Every day to God,
I make confessions
each day I am looking
for His corrections.
Every day I go to God,
with my questions
each day I am looking
for His introspections.
Every day I go to God,
for His inspection . . .
each day I am looking
for His interjection.
Every day with God,
I make a connection
each day I am looking
for His reaction.
Every day I am striving
for perfection . . .
every day I am looking
for Jesus’ reflection!
Off With the Old, On With the New ~
Old for the New ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Photo Creation Swap
The Old Man
no longer lives in me
it is now the New Man
that I choose to be.
For I have put-off,
the things I use to do
I have put-on these things
Lord . . . just for You . . .
Irritation for meekness,
dishonesty for truthfulness
quarrelsome for harmony
bitterness for forgiveness.
Bragging for humbleness,
idleness for service
cheating for honesty
emptiness for purpose.
Blaming for responsibility,
complacency for eagerness
complaining for thankfulness
depression for happiness.
Annoyance for contentment,
laziness for keenness
defiance for obedience
divisiveness for stillness.
Hatred for love,
resentful for delightful
greediness for gladness
drunkenness for self-control.
Shame for confession,
un-holiness for righteousness
sin for repentance
irresponsible for cautiousness.
Envious for satisfaction,
disbelief for trust
gossip for good reports
unfairness for being just.
Excess for restraint,
old ways for the new
following the world . . .
for following after You!
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ephesians 4:22-24

“That ye put off concerning the former
conversation the old man, which is corrupt
according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man,
which after God is created
in righteousness and true holiness.”

Temple Sale ~

create-in-me-a-clean-heart CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I’m cleaning my spiritual house,
its become quite a mess . . .
in it there is so much junk
I must be honest and confess.

It’s so crammed and packed,
the Holy Spirit cannot dwell
so I’m going to be having me
a temple clearing sale.

Over time it’s gotten crowded,
with worthless things I ensue
Lord, I promise when I’m done
there’ll be only room for You.

So, I’m sifting through my stuff,
all my material possessions
getting rid of anything . .
that has become an obsession.

I’m cleaning my spiritual house,
so I can have some extra space
where God can come and fill it . . .
with more, of His daily grace!

Deborah, Deborah ~

Deborah, Deborah ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Photo Creation Swap

Deborah, Deborah . . .
what is your soul’s focus
what is it bothering you so
that Me, you do not notice?

Deborah, Deborah . . .
what is your real trouble
what keeps you so anxious
why with Me, do you struggle?

Deborah, Deborah . . .
what is your heart’s concern
what causes so much worry
that from Me, you start to turn?

Deborah, Deborah . . .
what has you so distress
what has you in a turmoil
why from Me, do you digress?

Deborah , Deborah . . . .
what is your minds distraction
what are you so careful of
that I, can’t get your attention?

Deborah, Deborah . . .
if only you would put Me first
before you did anything else
then in Me, you’d be immersed!

Synergy ~

Come to the Cross ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ In Him We Are - IBible Verse

Jesus, I want with You,
a bond that is active
I want it to be alive
effectual and effective.

I want it to be energetic,
full of life, vigorous
I want it to be dynamic
sober and serious.

I want it to be useful,
functioning and working
I want it to be crucial
critical and life-changing.

I want it to be spirited,
enthusiastic and hearty
I want it to be vital
sturdy and soul-hardy.

I want it to be amazing,
inspiring and humbling
I want it to be vibrant
believable and astounding.

Jesus, I want our relationship,
to be one full of energy
for I know together we’ll have
a real powerful synergy!

On The Road to Salvation ~

The Road of Salvation ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~

Every day I am striving,
pressing more into the goal
every day I am allowing
the Holy Spirit to take control.

Every day I am attempting,
to enter the narrow gate
every day I am endeavoring
to figure out the correct gait.

Every day I am maneuvering,
to walk the straightest way
every day I am doing my best
not to drift or go astray.

Every day I am managing,
to steer clear from temptation
every day I pray for God’s help
on the road to my salvation.

Every day I am challenging,
myself to stay in the race
every day I know it’s impossible
without Jesus’ love and grace!

Teach Me, Lord ~

christian-poetry-by-deborahann-open-the-eyes-of-my-heart-ibible-verses

Teach me Lord to be calm,
when fear comes around
let me learn to stand firm
not on shaky, rocky ground.

Teach me to believe,
to trust when I’m troubled
let me have a single mind
not one bent and doubled.

Teach me to know,
my times are in Your hands
let me see lush green valleys
not the shaky, faulty lands.

Teach me to understand,
the reasons for my trials
let my faith in You . . .
be not full of denials.

Teach me to love You,
with eyes open wide
so that into my heart
You’ll come to reside!

A Perfect Day ~

absolute-surrender CHRIStina poetry by deborah ann

A perfect day with skies of blue,
my thoughts, my Father turn to You
while the sun is on its morning rise
I pray for You, to help make me wise.

As the morning sings its new song,
my heart for You begins to long
for today is Yours, for me to embrace
I pray to be filled with Your grace.

I trust You under the warming sun,
to continue the work which You begun
for the morning sun will be hot by noon
I know the branches, You need to prune.

As I toil through the heat of the day,
I know You will guide, lead the way
for the pruning is done to perfect in me
the life of Christ, for other’s to see.

As the day comes to a sun kissed end,
I thank You Father, for being my friend
for, today was indeed a perfect one . . .
to produce more fruit, for Your Son!

Life’s Wrinkles ~

CHRISTian poetry deborahann ~ Put on the New Man

Life has many wrinkles
needing to be ironed out
life has many creases
running all throughout.

Life has many folds,
needing to be smoothed
life has many lines
requiring to be removed.

Life has many crinkles,
needing to be flattened
life has many seams
asking to be straightened.

Life has many edges,
causing us to crumble . . .
life has many layers
underneath all the ruble.

Life is like a filthy rag,
where sin has left it stain
but when we put on Jesus
the new man comes to reign!

Keep Searching Me Lord ~

Keep searching me Lord,
keep probing my heart
take my anxious thoughts
before they even start.

Keep leading me Lord,
whether it be night or day
direct me in Your light
onto the everlasting way.

Keep exploring me Lord,
keep looking deep within
bring me to repentance
over every hidden sin.

Keep guiding me Lord,
keep me on the right path
let me not fall onto the one
that brings eternal wrath.

Keep evaluating me Lord,
keep discovering in me
any pride, greed  or lust
in which, You still can see.

Keep searching me Lord,
put me under the spotlight
till all of the wickedness
in me, You highlight!

I’m Ready for Spring ~

~ CHRISTitan poetry by deborahann ~grow-in-grace 2 IBible Verses

Lord, I am ready,
for Springtime to begin
for new growth . . .
to produce from within.

I’m ready for winters,
dead wood to be pruned
I’m ready to be trimmed
so we are more in tuned.

I’m ready for the sun,
to melt the winter snow
I’m ready for Your grace
to multiply and grow.

I’m ready for the warmth,
to penetrate the cold
I’m ready to be for You
someone fresh and bold.

I’m ready for the chance,
to blossom and flourish
I’m ready for Spring . . .
to renew and nourish!

To Look At Me ~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~What God Sees ~ DoorPost Verses.com ~

To look at me,
you’d think I was sweet
the nicest person . . .
you could ever meet.

I always have a smile,
never wear a frown
that is until . . .
no one else is around.

Unless, of course,
you live with me
then my sourness
I know you’d see.

That’s when I can be,
oh, so very irritated . . .
for the tiniest of things
can get me, so agitated.

Any one would think,
frustration was my name
as it doesn’t take much . . .
for me, to be inflamed.

Lord, wherever I go,
remind me You’re there too
so my attitude . . .
can reflect more of You!

Every Minute ~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~ All You Need is Jesus- IBible Verses

I’ve come to the understanding,
by myself, I am too weak
unless every minute . . .
God’s strength I daily seek.

I’ve come to the opinion,
by myself, I’m hopelessly poor
unless every minute . . .
I open to Jesus, my heart’s door.

I’ve come to the realization,
by myself, I am no good
unless every minute . . .
I let God do, what He should.

I’ve come to the belief,
by myself, I’m but dross
unless every minute . . .
I pick up my own cross.

I’ve come to the deduction,
by myself, I am just dust
unless every minute . . .
God does in me, what He must.

I’ve come to the conclusion,
by myself, I’m not anything
unless every minute . . .
I make Jesus, my everything!

I’m All Yours Lord~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~ Trusting in God- IBible Verses

Lord, I’m all Yours,
do with me what You will
but, first Lord help me
to trust and be still.

Open up my eyes,
so that I may see
all that You have
waiting just for me.

Take me into places,
I’ve not been before . . .
guide me along the path
leading to life evermore.

Let my ears hear,
Your voice deep inside
in Your loving calmness
teach me how to abide.

Lord, I’m all Yours,
today and tomorrow too
though it may be painful . . .
I want to get closer to You!

I want You to saturate

I want to soak in,
all of Your goodness
I want to walk with You
on the path of holiness.

I want to be full,
of Your mercy and grace
I want to every moment
seek Your righteous face.

Oh Lord, move me closer,
move me ever near . . .
so I may be fruitful

Every Day is A Journey ~

Follow Jesus by Susan Helmuth free photo #5035

Every day is a hopeful journey,
from the old into the new
every day is an opportunity
Lord, to grow closer to you.

In my daily travelings,
if I venture off too far . . .
send me the directions
right back to where You are.

Every day is a trusting journey,
in the light, of a new dawn
every day is an opportunity
to be Spirit, lead and drawn.

As I walk, on the road of faith,
if I should fall on my face . . .
I pray Lord, You will catch me
in the arms of Your loving grace.

Every day is an abiding journey,
from the old into the new
every day is an opportunity
Lord, in my quest to be like You!

Let Me Be Obedient ~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~Walk and Talk by Luis Garcia free photo # 3676

Lord, let me be obedient,
to Your Spirit, always true
let me seek and follow
only after Him and You.

Help me to be filled,
with the Spirit’s power
so, I may be guided . . .
my every waking hour.

Lord, let me be faithful,
in my daily walk
let it be Your words
in my daily talk.

Help me to trust You,
with all my heart and soul
so that You can be . . .
the one, always in control.

Lord, let me be obedient,
help me to trust You fully
for, when left on my own . . .
I’m defiant and unruly!

On the Potter’s Wheel ~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~transform- IBible Verses

 If we’re to be transformed,
on the Potter’s wheel
then as the clay . . .
we must be still.

The process is not fast,
a lot of time it will take
so the Potter’s image
into us He can make.

The clay needs to be soft,
it must be willingly pliable
so from its worthless state
He can make it justifiable.

Once on the Potter’s wheel,
the clay will wobble to and fro
but, He controls the speed
til His mercy begins to flow.

The Potter molds His vessel,
and foresees the finished work
if there’s any cracks or flaws . . .
the clay He is able to rework.

If we’re willing to be formed,
into something beautiful . . .
on the Potter’s wheel
we must remain flexible!

~~~~~~~~~~
Jeremiah 18:3-4
“Then I went down to the
potter’s house, and, behold,
he wrought a work on the wheels.
And the vessel that he made of clay
was marred
in the hand of the potter:
so he made it again another vessel,
as seemed good to the potter to make it.”
These Feet of Clay ~
~CHRISTian poetry bydeborahann ~ walkchrist-IBible VErses
I walk, I stumble,
I fall down . . .
yet, these feet of clay
will always be . . .
heaven bound.
I stub my toe,
I scrap my knee . . .
yet, these feet of clay
know from Satan . . .
they must flee.
I twist my ankle,
I can’t  get up . . .
yet, these feet of clay
still tastes the victory
of a winner’s cup.
I run, I race,
I trip and tumble . . .
yet, these feet of clay
still remain . . .
meek and humble.
I lose, I win,
I worry, I rest . . .
yet, these feet of clay
still must go . . .
through the test.
I walk, I stumble
I fall on my face . . .
yet, these feet of clay
still won’t quit . . .
the faithful race!
