You needn’t be a Magi,
to follow the CHRISTmas Star . . .
you don’t have to make a trip
or need to come from very far.
You don’t have to bring gifts,
of gold, myrrh or frankincense
it won’t cost you a thing . . .
other then your penitence.
You needn’t be a shepherd,
to follow the CHRISTmas Star . . .
you don’t have to go anywhere
it will come to where you are.
For, Jesus is the Light shinning,
for all of the world to see . . .
He brings hope to the darkness
with His grace He’ll set you free.
You don’t have to be a Magi,
or a shepherd coming from afar
you can accept the gift of Jesus . . .
today, right from where you are!

Matthew 2:9-11
When they had heard the king,
they departed; and, lo, the star,
which they saw in the east, went
before them, till it came and stood
over where the young child was.
When they saw the star,
they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
And when they were come into the house,
they saw the young child with Mary his mother,
and fell down, and worshipped him:
and when they had opened their treasures,
they presented unto him gifts; gold, and
frankincense and myrrh.
John 14:6

unto the Father, but by me.”

Christmas has its haters,
towards it’s true meaning
they have been for years . . .
from the truth weaning.
To them it’s just a holiday,
another day to meet
with friends and family
to party, drink and eat.
They cannot even utter,
the word Christmas anymore
and if you do they’ll tell you
its something they abhor.
So to all Christmas haters,
I’m sorry you feel this way
but, it won’t deter me . . .
from what I have to say.
For I say Merry CHRISTmas,
as I am not ashamed
my love for my Savoir
needs to be proclaimed!
~~~~~~
1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation,
a royal priesthood, an holy nation,
a peculiar people; that ye should
shew forth the praises of him who
hath called you out of darkness
into his marvellous light;
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel
of Christ: for it is the power of God
unto salvation to every one that
believeth; to the Jew first, and also
to the Greek.
Lord, may I be a seeker,
a follower of Your Light
may I have the wisdom . . .
like the Magi’s did that night.
May I travel the distance,
regardless of how far
may I be willing to go
to wherever You are.
May I have the resolve,
to follow where You lead
may I have to Your will
the strength to always heed.
May I have the tenacity,
not to give up or quit
may I be to Your ways
determined to submit.
May I have the fortitude,
to journey into what is wise
may I have the insight
so Your path I’ll recognize.
Lord, may I always seek You,
like the Magi’s did that night
may I have the courage . . .
to follow after wisdom’s Light!
A single star shinning,
on a moonless night
God’s gift to the world
wrapped up in the Light.
Wise men make the journey,
from places east and far
in search for what they know
will be the Morning Star.
With gifts they set out,
to the town of Bethlehem
to find the Babe, the Savior
who came not to condemn.
And so they came to be,
face to face with their King
knowing He was the Prince
who eternal peace would bring.
One single, solitary star,
still beckons the world today
to follow the Light that leads . . .
to the Truth, Life and Way!
Still the wise seek Him,
they follow where He may lead
no matter how near or far.
They come to praise Him,
to worship and to adore
the wise still seek will Him
as the ones did from before.
The wise still offer Him,
gifts from their hearts
their faith, trust and hope
on Him they impart.
They hunger and thirst,
Let CHRISTmas’ true meaning,
rise up in you today . . .
may you see the splendor
of Jesus’ birth on this day.
May His beauty and grandeur,
may the gift of His excellence
May His majesty you behold,
may the fullness of His truth
may you see the need for Him
Is there any room for Jesus,
in your home today . . .
will you merrily welcome Him
into your life to stay?
Or will you be too busy,
in the CHRISTmas rush
so that to His presence
you give Him the brush?
Is there any room for Jesus,
in your heart this year
will you joyfully welcome Him
with gladness and cheer?
Or will you be too frazzled,
with all you must go and do
so to have no space for Him
til the holidays are through?
Is there any room for Jesus,
in your life today
or will you also have . . .
no place for Him to stay!
Let your hope flow,
throughout the season
let the birth of Jesus
be your gleeful reason.
Let the peace He brings,
nestle in your heart
so on others His love
you may too impart.
Let your hope exude,
everywhere you go
let your faith in Jesus
I don’t want a bird sitting in my tree,
or any number of any kind of dove
I don’t want hens inside of my house
all I need, is God’s gift of eternal love.
I don’t want anyone milking anything,
or any one leaping all around
I don’t want rings of any type
all I want, is to get my victory crown.
I don’t want anything that’s swimming,
no piping or drumming crowds
I don’t want anyone dancing anywhere
all I want, is to see Jesus in the clouds.
I don’t want any pears or turtles,
nothing that is french, gold or laying
I don’t want geese, swans or maids
nor ladies or lords in my home staying.
I don’t want anything this CHRISTmas,
I don’t want to cause you buying strife
all I want from you this year . . .
is for you to invite Jesus into your life!
CHRISTmas morn is here,
I hear the angels sing
rise up and come . . .
greet your newborn King.
Bow to your knees,
praise His mighty name
for, because of this Babe
nothing will be the same.
Oh, how Wonderful He is,
I hear the saints join in
a Savior to the world
forgiveness for our sin.
Love has come down,
from His heavenly place
hearken to the gift
of God’s mercy and grace.
This Christmas . . .
after all the presents are opened,
I’m going to sneak away and give one more
I’m going to go into my prayer closet
and behind me I’m going to shut the door.
I’m going to pull away all the wrappings,
the frills and the gingerbread I hide behind
I’m going to unwrap my true wretched self
not the one that’s embellished in my mind.
I am going to take off all the ribbons,
rip off the tape and the pretty bows
I’m going to unmask my heart and soul
to a God ~ who already sees and knows.
I’m going to get down on my knees,
give Jesus the gift of my trust
I’m going to bundle myself in His love
and to His will I’m going to adjust.
I’m going to wrap myself up in Jesus,
I’m going to tie myself up with His grace
I’m going to bind myself to His Word
and everyday I’m going to seek His face!
Away with the manger,
no need for a bed
the birth of our Savor
is best left unsaid.
The unbeliever’s of the world,
look down from their nose
when the name of our Lord Jesus
on them we impose.
The masses are in agreement,
saying CHRISTmas is a mistake
but covetousness for the season
they will never forsake.
We love thee materialism,
we love thee so much
and to their credit card idols
they bow down and clutch.
Be clear to say happy holidays,
season greetings to you
but don’t mention the babes name
or you they may sue.
They bless all of their goodies,
their toys and their playthings
but want nothing to do with the gift
that the sweet baby Jesus – brings!
This CHRISTmas I wish you,
God’s peace and grace
a New Year full of hope
to hold on and embrace.
I pray God will give you,
all throughout the year
a sense of tranquility
whenever faced with fear.
I wish that each day,
you will be able to find
restoration for your heart
renewal for your mind.
I pray Jesus will be,
your comforter and friend
and all that may ail you
His stripes will heal and mend.
I wish God’s Word,
and you will trust Him
with all of your might.
This CHRISTmas my prayer,
is for you to be blessed . . .
you’ll find peace and rest!
May this CHRISTmas,
find you joyful
may to the true reason
you remain hopeful.
May you not get caught,
in the season’s rush
but, instead let the joy
cause a peaceful hush.
May you be full of joy,
as you stop and ponder
how this time of year
is full of God’s wonder.
May you not lose your joy,
in all of the chaos
may the season’s madness
not make you lose focus.
May this CHRISTmas,
joy, be all you feel
may it cause in you
Every year for Christmas,
we prepare for our guests
making sure they only see
our homes at their best.
We scrub and we scour,
room by room we go
making sure every space
has a sparkling glow.
We remove the clutter,
tidy up all of the mess
we dust everything in hopes
to pass the white glove test.
But, what about our hearts,
for Jesus, are they prepared
or in the holiday madness
have they become ensnared?
So, this year let’s first check,
to see if we have room
in our hearts for Jesus
and if not, let’s take a broom.
Let’s sweep away the junk,
clear out a perfect space
so Jesus can fill it up
with His love and grace.
Then let’s open up our homes,
and invite our guests in . . .
and maybe what they see in us
they too, will want within!
Luke 2:7
“And she brought forth
her firstborn son,
and wrapped him
in swaddling clothes
and laid him in a manger;
because there was
no room for them in the inn.”
