One Day Up In Heaven ~

One day up in heaven
in the presence of the Lord
our praises onto Him . . .
will be bountifully poured.

We will sing our alleluia’s,
our hallelujahs too
we will all be in sync
as if we were right on cue.

One day there will be,
a glorious wedding feast
a victorious celebration
over the death of the beast.

The outpouring of praise,
will be thunderous . . .
nothing we have ever heard
will be as wondrous.

One day in heaven,
we will sing our alleluia’s
and throughout eternity
they’ll echo our hallelujahs!

When We Are In Heaven ~

When we are in heaven,
there’ll peace forever more
no longer will we be . . .
with satan in a holy war.

There’ll be no more pain,
weeping or crying . . .
no more to the old man
daily denying and dying.

When we are with Jesus,
our sins will not haunt
no longer will our joy
be sluggish or gaunt.

They’ll be endless glee,
lots of praising and singing
onto our heavy burdens
we’ll no longer be clinging.

When we get to heaven,
we will be free at last . . .
gone will be our memory
of all the days of our past!

One Glorious Surprise ~

There is no one,
who has ever seen
nor anyone who’s eyes
have been able to glean.

What God has in store,
for those who believe
the crown of life . . .
one day they’ll receive.

There is no one,
who has ever heard
nor who’s imagination
has been so stirred.

What God has in store,
for those who wait
to enter into heaven
through the pearly gate.

No one’s ears have ever heard,
no one has seen with their eyes
but, I believe His sheep are in . . .
for one big, glorious surprise!

I have my eyes set on,
being with my Lord
it is something . . .
I joyfully look towards.

It’s my earthly goal,
one I will achieve
for it’s by my faith
in His grace, I believe.

I have my eyes set on,
an eternal destiny
how it’s going to be
perfectly heavenly.

It’s a destination,
I’m faithfully going for
for it will be a haven
of peace forevermore.

I have my eyes set on,
where I keep my heart . . .
and there isn’t anything
that can pry the two apart!

The Holy City ~

I’m on a personal journey,
got heaven on my mind . . .
and the road to get there
I’m determined to find.

The excursion I’ve been on,
is leading me to the gate
but narrow is its path
and straight must be my gait.

For the way from here to there,
has many lures and snares
and I must be on my toes
so to satan’s traps I’ll be aware.

It is a large open road,
it has room for everyone
but one must be willing
to stay on it for the long run.

I’m on a personal journey,
it has a perfect ending
for in the eternal Holy City . . .
with Jesus I’ll be spending!

The road into heaven,
isn’t on a street of clover
it’s full of dips and ditches
large bumps to get over.

It’s chuck-full of potholes,
to maneuver through
gaps and depressions
with lots of pitfalls too.

The road into heaven,
isn’t on a street named easy
it’s full of twists and turns
with curves that are sneaky.

It’s full of detours,
that will slow you down
roadblocks and delays
you’ll have to get around.

The road into heaven,
is on a One Way street
there is no other path . . .
if Jesus you want to meet!

You Can’t Take It With You ~

Hearses don’t pull trailers,
filled with earthly treasures
they don’t tow your assets
or your worldly pleasures.

They don’t carry the living,
with their prized possessions
they only bring along coffins
to the grave side processions.

You can’t take it with you,
all you’ve got will turn to rust
what you adore and cherish
will be left behind in the dust.

You can’t haul away your stuff,
there’s no place in heaven for it
one day all you own and love
you will be forced to forfeit.

There is no trailer hitch,
attached to that black hearse
all your valuables down here
others one day will disperse.

You can’t take it with you,
so you might as well let it go
for where your heart is . . .
to the world it will show!

A Happily Ever After ~

There is a happily,
ever after . . . .
a place filled with joy
eternal laughter.

But until we’re in heaven,
troubles there will be
but, Jesus says until then
to have peace in Me.

forevermore . . .
a place where death

But, until Jesus comes,
to rule and to reign
we will experience
sorrow, grief and pain.

in this world we’re living

This year my mind,

for I know and believe
it’s my eternal destiny.

to all the turmoil

my anxieties embroil.

This year my heart,
calmness will savor

Jesus is my Savior.

I’m not going to feel,
troubled or distressed
instead I’m going to be
with God at rest.

for each day onto Jesus

A brighter horizon,
is just up ahead . . .
one without turmoil
but with peace instead.

One that has views,
heavenly ~ blissful

all who are faithful.

A brighter landscape,
is just around the bend
one where all evil

One so divine,
abundantly beautiful
one where tranquility
will be bountiful.

The City of No Mores ~

In the City of No Mores,
is where I long to be . . .
oh, how I can hardly wait
until Jesus returns for me.

On the street of No More Tears.
we’ll never again weep or cry
for there will only be bliss
as every eye will be dry.

On the road of No More Pain,
we’ll be complete and whole
for we’ll have a new body
and a new glorified soul.

Down the path of No More Sin,
we will leap, jump and run
for our battle against satan
will be finally won.

On the way of No More Death,
there’ll be a jubilant parade
for from the devil evil-doings
we’ll never again be afraid.

In the City of No Mores,
is where we’ll spend eternity
and dwell in the mansion . . .
of No More Agony!

I Long To Dwell ~

I long to dwell,
in eternal peace . . .
where fear and death
will forever cease.

Where things are seen,
through tearless eyes

Laying My Treasures ~

My heart doesn’t lay,
it’s treasures on earth
for it knows one day
they’ll hold no worth.

Instead my heart places,
in God its daily trust
for I know His love for me
will never corrode or rust.

into worldly assets
for they are void of peace
riddled down with regrets.

Instead my heart’s devoted,
to the Life, Truth and Way
for I know my faith in Jesus

for to put it here on earth
makes me shudder with fear!

Walking In That Valley ~

When I walk in that valley,
I’m not walking it alone
for Jesus will be with me

The Face of God ~

The face of God,
I cannot see . . .
but it doesn’t deter
or discourage me.

For I still seek,
God and His face
each time I ask Him
for more of His grace.

The face of God,
is a mystery
but I can still feel
its trajectory.

He tracks His eyes,
to look after me
He steers His ears
to my every plea.

The face of God,
I can’t begin to picture
but, I know I’ll see it
in the near future!
