God’s Plans For You ~

God’s plans for you,
are yours to discover . . .
they’re found in your Bible
from cover to cover.

A future of hope,
for you He has in store
once you open to Him
your seeking heart’s door.

Your life He will guide,
when you seek Him first
He’ll satisfy your needs
your hunger and thirst.

Once to Him you commit,
your steps He will guide
when directions you need
He’ll help you to decide.

God’s plans for you,
are easy to find . . .
but, first you must seek Him
with all your heart and mind!

Precise Instructions ~

Whenever I need,
God to inspire . . .
when my Spirit needs
to be lifted higher.

I open up my Bible,
and I begin to read
just why His Word
everyday I need.

Whenever my faith,
needs to be corrected
the Scriptures help me
to get redirected.

For they give to me,
precise instructions
how to overcome
worldly seductions.

Whenever I need,
some good old reproof
God’s Word stops me from
becoming too aloof!

Establish My Steps Lord ~

Lord, establish my steps,
so I may follow Yours
let me not to Your ways
disregard or ignore.

Keep my feet walking,
on firm, solid ground
let not man take from me
the truth I have found.

Keep me on the pathway,
of faith and trust
let Your Word teach me
when I need to adjust.

Help me to see past,
the darkness around me
so I can pray for those
who still do not know Thee.

When I am Strong ~

Lord, when I’m strong,
my faith is weak
and Your will
I do not seek.

For, on my own,
I think I can do it
and I make no time
to wait and sit.

I believe I know,
what I’m to do
so I rush off Lord
without You.

But, when I am weak,
my faith is strong
and I seek Your face
all day long.

For, when I admit,
alone, I can’t do it
it’s when I’m lead
by Your Spirit!

Holy Spirit,
come comfort me
give me faith
in what I can’t see.

My Shepherd’s Voice ~

Is that You Lord,
is that You calling out to me
is that Your light Lord
that I’m beginning to see?

Is that Your voice,
I’m hearing in the shadows
is that Your staff
leading me to green meadows?

Is that You Lord,
is that You giving me direction
is that Your rod
providing me with protection?

Is that Your peace,
that I’m feeling all around
is that Your love
making my heart bound?

Our First Love ~

Let us return to our First Love,
into the arms of everlasting grace
let our steps be healed and restored
let us earnestly seek God’s face.

Let us repent from our sins,
examine ourselves in His light
let us return to our First Love
with all our soul and might.

Let us turn to the Word of God,
for our path and instruction
let us return to our First Love
for the Way and true direction.

Let us lift our hearts and minds,
give unto God our very soul
let us return to our First Love
so we can once again be whole!

My Road Map ~

The Word is my road map,
that guides me along my way
leading me with great wisdom
to help me through my day.

When I am at a crossroad,
not sure of the way to go
I ask Jesus for directions
so the true way I will know.

When I find I’m too weary,
to make it down the road
I pray for His endurance
to help me with my load.

When I get off His path,
and I wander on my own
I get down on my knees
till His way for me is shown.

Yes, the Word is our road map,
the perfect guide for each of us
but we must read the scriptures
if in Jesus we’re going to trust!

Keep Me Lord ~

Lord, keep me on Your course,
don’t let me get off the track
keep me looking forward
help me not to look back.

Lord, keep me going straight,
in the right and true direction
keep me seeking for my shelter
in the arms of Your protection.

Lord, keep me walking closely,
on the path You’ve laid for me
keep me searching for only You
until it’s Your light that I see.

Lord, keep me on the narrow,
no matter how small it gets
keep me from falling far away
so I have no life’s regrets.
