Autumn Blessings ~

Autumn brings to the soul relief,
as hot Summer days slip to an end
God sent the season for weary hearts
to restore, repair and mend.

Unlike the Autumn trees,
that shed their changing leaves
God sent the season for failing hearts
to adhere, embrace and cleave.

Just as with the Autumn winds,
there comes a refreshing rain
God sent the season for fraying hearts
to increase, grow and gain.

The Autumn sun is slow to climb,
and dips earlier into the night
God sent the season for sleepy hearts
to rise, shine and awake in His light.

God gave to us the Autumn season,
so we could have a respite and rest
for it is the season for our beset souls
to see how much we are truly blessed!

God Rebuilds ~

God rebuilds,
from the rumble
He restores
those humble.

He regenerates,
the broken soul
He heals and mends
til it’s again whole.

God reconstructs,
hearts shattered
He recovers
a life fractured.

He reshapes,
the mind fraught
He remolds
every thought.

God rebuilds,
souls, minds and hearts
He restores . . .
all the broken parts!

Jesus Gives Hope ~

Jesus gives hope,
in exchange for despair
for our hearts He is able
to heal, renew and repair.

He gives needful rest,
in the midst of strife
for He came to give us
a more peaceful life.

Jesus gives us faith,
in exchange for doubt
our cares He takes
by casting our fears out.

He gives a new sight,
to those who can’t see
by making satan . . .
from them run and flee.

Jesus takes broken things,
He makes them beautiful
so they may become . . .
for His kingdom usable!

An Open Heart ~

An open heart,
Jesus can remake
for in His riches
it will partake.

It excepts His love,
His mercy and grace
for an open heart
His life can embrace.

An open mind,
wholeness will receive
for it no longer
His Spirit grieves.

It desires godly wisdom,
it seeks holy living
its thoughts are now full
of hope and thanksgiving.

An open heart,
takes a willing spirit too
so Jesus its mind . . .
can restore and renew!

Build A Bridge of Hope ~

Build a bridge of truth and hope,
repair the broken span . . .
restore and renew someone’s life
to the Son of Man.

Build the bridge with mercy,
help them to see God’s will
bring back a wandering soul
to the One who longs to heal.

Build the bridge with grace,
let them see what love is about
show them the way to their Savior
guide them through their doubt.

Build the bridge with glee and joy,
let them see your delight
lead them through the darkness
into His eternal light.

Build a bridge of salvation,
to the Cross that sets them free
tell them why Jesus had to die
for them that day at Calvary!

Spiritual Air ~

Some times a spiritual breath,
we all need to take in . . .
to expel the soot and grime
of living in a world full of sin.

We need to slowly inhale,
the promises of God Word
so we can draw upon . . .
the truth we have heard.

Sometimes we all need,
to come up for spiritual air . . .
so God our hearts and minds
He can renew and repair.

We need to oxidize our souls,
with all of God’s goodness
till we’re at peace and rest
with His almightiness.

Sometimes we all need,
to take a long breather . . .
so we can remind ourselves
just why we are a believer!

God Guides My Feet ~

God guides my feet,
over mountain tops
onto high ground . . .
in faith, they do hop.

He leads my steps,
through jagged spaces
to prove to me . . .
significant is His grace.

He shines His light,
ahead of my steps
my soles He secures . . .
His love they project.

He takes me to places,
never before explored
to show me why it is . . .
I call Him my Lord.

He sets me up high,
gives me a glorious view
so His mercy my soul . . .

Restore My Joy Lord ~

Restore my joy Lord,

Into The Furnace ~

Sometimes the furnace,
we all have go into
so God can refine
restore and renew.

He will light the fires,
to chasten our soul
until we are willing
to give Him control.

He’ll turn up the heat,
till our sin is magnified
so our hearts can be
cleansed and purified.

He’ll add to the fire,
more fuel if needed
so that to His will
our life is heeded.

So if you find yourself,
in the fiery furnace . . .
more precious then gold
you’ll be, when you surface!

Trust That Enables ~

Feeling inadequate,
faith running low
losing the will
to let God, then let go?

Then you need to find,
the Holy Spirit’s fullness
so He can revive
your spiritual dullness.

Feeling ineffective,
trust is harder to find
too many burdens
weighing on your mind?

Then you need Jesus,
your strength to increase
so onto Him your cares
you’ll be able to release.

Feelings of inadequacy,
faith shaky and unstable
then ask God to provide you
with trust that enables!

Like An Eagle ~

Renewed like an eagle,
my strength restored
the closer I sweep in
to Jesus, my Lord.

He gives me courage,
to go the distance
gives me His strength
when I meet resistance.

Just like an eagle,
the clouds I climb above
rising over my troubles
on the strength of His love.

I have the fortitude,
to  look into the eye
of each raging storm
that passes me by.

He renews my faith,
my trust He restores
until the day like an eagle
into heaven I soar!

Each day is a new adventure,
God gives us to explore
each day He wants us . . .
to get to know Him more.

Every place that you look,
new discoveries are everywhere
no matter where you turn
God is waiting for you there.

Every year God has for us,
something new and exciting
each day He wants us to be
in His Word exploring.

Every verse you read,
has something just for you
each Scripture you study
your faith it will renew.

Every day is a new adventure,
God has for us to investigate
and it’s up to us . . .
to use His Word to navigate!

Your Shepherd to The End ~

If the Lord is your Shepherd,
then nothing you will lack
you’ll have nothing to fear
He’ll always have your back.

He’ll guide you in the valley,
lead you to the mountain top
He’ll show you where to go
warn you when you to stop.

If the Lord is your Shepherd,
you’ll have a place to rest
for, to your every need
He’ll be constantly abreast.

He’ll daily provide you,
with power and grace
to His truth and His ways
your heart will embrace.

If the Lord is your Shepherd,
He’ll refine and restore
so that you will always find
your way back to His door.

He’ll renew you each day,
with joy and in His love
by raining down on you
His mercy from above.

If the Lord is your Shepherd,
you’ll always have a retreat
for, He will be your refuge . . .
until the day that you meet!

Touch Me Lord ~

Lord, touch me while I sleep,
bring peace to this weary soul
heal my mind and my heart . . .
let Your love make me whole.

Touch me as I wake up,
be the morning light I see
be the strong in my coffee
come and pray with me.

Touch me throughout my day,
let me feel Your guiding hand
lift me up if I should fall
so in Your strength, I can stand.

Touch me when I take a break,
let me come to rest in You
repair any worn out parts
use Your mercy, as the glue.

Touch me in such a way,
that no matter what the hour
I will know it is You . . .
who gives my life its power.

as I retire to my bed . . .
renew and restore my soul
so tomorrow, I’ll be Spirit lead!

Thirsty ~

Lord, I am thirsty,
I need more of You . . .
for, there’s a spiritual drought
right now I am going through.

Fill me with fresh hope,
take the aridness in my soul away
rain on me Your tender mercy
renew my heart in You today.

Lord, I am thirsty,
my arms are opened wide
protect and defend me
come be my eternal guide.

Make this dry season I’m in,
turn into Your valley green
where Living Waters flow
