One Day Up In Heaven ~

One day up in heaven
in the presence of the Lord
our praises onto Him . . .
will be bountifully poured.

We will sing our alleluia’s,
our hallelujahs too
we will all be in sync
as if we were right on cue.

One day there will be,
a glorious wedding feast
a victorious celebration
over the death of the beast.

The outpouring of praise,
will be thunderous . . .
nothing we have ever heard
will be as wondrous.

One day in heaven,
we will sing our alleluia’s
and throughout eternity
they’ll echo our hallelujahs!

When We Are In Heaven ~

When we are in heaven,
there’ll peace forever more
no longer will we be . . .
with satan in a holy war.

There’ll be no more pain,
weeping or crying . . .
no more to the old man
daily denying and dying.

When we are with Jesus,
our sins will not haunt
no longer will our joy
be sluggish or gaunt.

They’ll be endless glee,
lots of praising and singing
onto our heavy burdens
we’ll no longer be clinging.

When we get to heaven,
we will be free at last . . .
gone will be our memory
of all the days of our past!

Who Can Fully Comprehend ~

Who can fully comprehend,
God’s love that is world-wide
who can grasp the call . . .
to come and be His bride?

Who can fully understand,
a love that is without end
who can figure out
having a eternal Friend?

Who can fully embrace,
love going into eternity
who can stretch their hearts
into this place of serenity?

Who can fully fathom,
love reaching deep within
who can see the real need
for forgiveness of their sin?

Who can fully comprehend,
the love God has for everyone?
Only those who can grasp it . . .
are the ones who love His Son!

Like A Dewdrop ~

God’s love is like a dewdrop,
that glistens in the sun
glowing in the warmth
from the light of His Son.

It’s a breath of fresh air,
full of the fragrance of spring
filling up the senses
with the beauty that it brings.

It’s as sturdy as an oak,
as solid as a Rock
firmly holding onto those
who gather as His flock.

It’s a taste of pure heaven,
a piece of pleasure and delight
to savor in the morning hours
and enjoy throughout the night.

It’s as straight as an arrow,
knowing its intended mark
aiming for those who wander
to have a change of heart.

It’s as boundless as the ocean,
an endless mountain stream
flowing with living waters
that has no edge or seam.

God’s love is gentle as a Lamb,
so tender and so calm
for it brings comfort to the soul
just like the soothing of a balm!

On this Thanksgiving Day,

who opened to me the door.

A heaven sent like manna,
full of God’s mercy and favor
is the love and grace
of Jesus Christ my Savior.

for those who believe

God’s Finger Painting ~

I love when God,
starts to finger paint . . .
Autumn’s glorious colors
with no holds or restraint.

The colors splash about,
vibrant shades of orange-red
mingled with shiny slivers
of a brilliant golden thread.

As the rain begins to fall,
the colors appear to run
smeared across the horizon
as the clouds hide the sun.

The streets get all blotted,
with crispy yellow leaves
as they do their wind dance
to soggy roads they cleave.

I love when God,
fingers begin their painting
it reminds me of the glory . . .
He has for me awaiting!

Walking After The Spirit ~

Those who are walking,
after the Holy Spirit . . . .
are those who one day
will heaven inherit.

For the lusts of the flesh,
they have put to bed
now that they’re willing
to be by Him led.

Those who continue to walk,
after that which is holy
are those who have given
to Jesus their hearts wholly.

For they confessed their sins,
and have been transformed
now to the world and its way
they’re no longer conformed.

Those walking in the Spirit,
in Christ are accepted
they’ll be not condemned
nor in heaven rejected!

I have my eyes set on,
being with my Lord
it is something . . .
I joyfully look towards.

It’s my earthly goal,
one I will achieve
for it’s by my faith
in His grace, I believe.

I have my eyes set on,
an eternal destiny
how it’s going to be
perfectly heavenly.

It’s a destination,
I’m faithfully going for
for it will be a haven
of peace forevermore.

I have my eyes set on,
where I keep my heart . . .
and there isn’t anything
that can pry the two apart!

One Simple Step ~

One simple step,
we all need to take
one timely one
we all need to make.

For us to find,
in Jesus our freedom
so we can enter into
His Father’s kingdom.

All that it takes,
is a single little seed
and the grace of Jesus
is all we will need.

For us to be,
saved and forgiven
we need to have faith
in a Savior risen.

Taking one simple step,
of faith in His grace
will enroll you into . . .
the good and faithful race!

filled with earthly treasures

or your worldly pleasures.

They don’t carry the living,
with their prized possessions

to the grave side processions.

You can’t take it with you,
all you’ve got will turn to rust
what you adore and cherish
will be left behind in the dust.

You can’t haul away your stuff,
there’s no place in heaven for it
one day all you own and love
you will be forced to forfeit.

There is no trailer hitch,
attached to that black hearse
all your valuables down here

You can’t take it with you,
so you might as well let it go
for where your heart is . . .

Tears Fall From Up In Heaven ~

Tears fill up their ducts,
with deep sorrow they fall from
for His eyes see the sadness . . .
of the days still yet to come.

They well within their rims,
till they begin to overflow
for His eyes see the grief . . .
of what only He could know.

They trickle down His cheeks,
as they slowly start to run
for His eyes see the world . . .
without the love of His Son.

They flood from their brims,
and puddle onto the floor
for His eyes see the day . . .
this world will be no more.

Tears fall from up in heaven,
like a thunderous mighty rain
so many still live their lives . . .
in futileness and in vain.

God cries for the unsaved,
the lost, the unforgiven . . .
His tears reflect those who reject
what His Son has so freely given!

The Harvest Is Nearly Here ~

The seed has been planted,
for each nation to hear
the fields are now ready
harvest time is nearly here.

The season is turning ripe,
the time is drawing close
soon our Savior will come
but the hour no one knows.

The Word has gone out,
the desert rose is a bloom
in God’s heavenly mansion
there’s still plenty of room.

The showers have increased,
the outpouring is on the rise
the day Jesus comes will be
like a twinkling in our eyes.

The soil has been prepared,
the sacrifice has been made
time is running out
for lost souls to be swayed.

The message of hope continues,
it will to the very end . . .
still we don’t how much longer
the time God plans to extend!

The Mind of Jesus ~

Oh, to have the heart of Christ,
to truly love one and all . . .
to forgive those who stumble
and lift up the ones who fall.

Then I’d have the mind of Jesus,
I’d see others deepest need
I’d minister to their lost souls
and to a faith in Him I’d lead.

Oh, to have the life of Christ,
to see all in His saving light
to heal the contrite heart
and give to all eternal sight.

Then I’d have the mind of Jesus,
I’d take His Word across the land
I’d lead the lost to His Kingdom
deliver the unsaved into His hand.

Oh, to have the heart of Christ,
beating deep inside me . . .
would be to  think just like Jesus
oh, how wonderful that would be!

A Happily Ever After ~

There is a happily,
ever after . . . .
a place filled with joy
eternal laughter.

But until we’re in heaven,
troubles there will be
but, Jesus says until then
to have peace in Me.

There will be a happy,
forevermore . . .
a place where death
will be no more.

But, until Jesus comes,
to rule and to reign
we will experience
sorrow, grief and pain.

There can’t be happiness,
in this world we’re living
but, one day there will be
not one eye found crying!

Why I am Hopeful ~

When others ask,
about the hope inside me
I tell them it’s from . . .
believing in what I can’t see.

They look at me puzzled,
til to them I explain . . .
how Jesus on my soul
left an invisible bloodstain.

I confess how He became,
my Lord and Savior
how His love for me is full
of mercy, grace and favor.

I tell them from my sins,
once I turned and repented
how Jesus’ very own Spirit
to me was presented.

And now He guides me,
each and every day
helping me to remain
on the narrow way.

My hope is set on,
the day in heaven I will be
and that is why I say . . .
I believe in what I can’t see!

We all need to have,
spiritual grit . . .
we all need strength
not to give up or quit.

We all need to have,
a strong resolve . . .
we need to trust God
our troubles will solve.

We all need to have,
a firmness of mind . . .
we need to believe
God’s peace we’ll find.

We all need to have,
our heart’s renewed . . .
we need to keep heaven
constantly in our view.

We all need to have,
courage and boldness . . .
we Jesus need to guide us
on life’s eternal voyage!
