Jesus Never Changes ~

Jesus never changes,
He remains true . . .
He will always stick
right next to you.

You may wander,
but, He never will
you may be anxious
but, He remains still.

Jesus never changes,
throughout all the years
He never falters
modifies or veers.

You may be doubtful,
but, He always sure
you may be hopeless
but, He holds the cure.

however we often do
but, He promises . . .
to never forsake you!

Waiting Till God Answers ~

When not sure of what to do,
and God hasn’t answered you
when you’re feeling down and out
and you’re full of fear and doubt.

That’s the time you need to look,
for His promises in the Good Book
you’ll find the remedy for your needs
when to His Word your spirit heeds.

When you’re troubles take over you,
and worry surrounds all you do
when you’re down and feeling sad
and your anxieties mount and add.

That’s the time you need to pray,
asking the Lord to lead the way
He will show you where to go
and His directions you will know.

When you need answered prayer,
be still as you wait to hear
for God promises with His eye
to make for you the way clear!

Water’s Troubling ~

I’ve been through water’s troubling,
in the turbulence of my mind
I’ve been tossed and shaken
by thoughts of every kind.

I’ve been blown all around,
in this whirlwind called life . . .
I’ve been in many storms
leaving me full of strife.

I’ve been through tumultuous times,
that were lengthy and prolonged
I’ve been through mind twisters
where anxious thoughts spawned.

I’ve been in deep dark waters,
with no sure way to get out
I’ve been in Satan’s cesspool
filled with dread, fear and doubt.

I’ve been through water’s troubling,
of every type and every kind . . .
but, Jesus has been the bridge
guarding my heart and mind!

Oh, to have the heart of Christ,

I’d minister to their lost souls
and to a faith in Him I’d lead.

to see all in His saving light

Increasing Faith and Trust ~

Increase the measure Lord,
of our faith and trust
give daily more of it
to each one of us.

For as we are being,
constantly refined
we’ll need more faith
to be assigned.

Increase the measure Lord,
of our hope and peace
into our hearts and minds
more of it release.

For as we go through,
all the test and trials
we’ll need more trust
to go those extra miles.

Increase the measure Lord,
of our belief in You . . . .
give us more faith and trust

and give yourself a gift.

since God is on our side
what good will worry bring.

For He is our God of peace,
who showers us from above
the gentleness of His mercy
in the tenderness of His love.

When you’re feeling discouraged,
and deep waters begin to flow
cast your cares upon Him

Worthy ~

Sometimes we don’t feel,
we are worthy of . . .
God’s mercy and favor
let alone His gift of love.

But, that is just a lie,
satan likes to tell . . .
for he wants to drag us
straight with him into hell.

Sometimes we don’t feel,
we are deserving of . . .
Jesus’ saving grace
let alone His undying love.

But, that is just the devil,
trying to get into us . . .
for, he is out to destroy
in God our faith and trust.

Sometimes satan will,
unsettle us with worry
but, we must believe . . .
to God we are worthy!

Lessons On The Seas ~

On the sea of doubt,
I have learned to be
fearless as the waves
come crashing over me.

For, I know to be strong,
even when I’m frightened
my grip on Jesus . . .
must remain tightened.

On the sea of worry,
I have learned to be
not so overwhelmed
by what I cannot see.

For, I know to be brave,
even when I’m terrified
my eyes on Jesus . . .
musn’t be cast aside.

White-Knuckled Faith ~

White-knuckled faith,
holds on tightly to fear
has a hard time . . .
getting trust into gear.

It becomes panicky,
when danger is met
rather having peace
it knows only how to fret.

White-knuckled faith,
struggles often with hope
has a hard time . . .
knowing just how to cope.

It’s filled with the dread,
that scares and terrifies
over every concern
it panics and agonizes.

White-knuckled faith,
can be only cured
if into fear’s snare. . .
it stops being lured!

Faith Swells ~

Faith rises,
atop the waves
for our Savior
we know will save.

Then when life,
comes crashing down
in troubles waters
we will not drown.

I Have God’s Power ~

I have God’s power,
it’s right inside of me
it blesses me with faith
for things I can’t see.

It dissipates the doubt,
evaporates the fear
it allows me to believe
my God is always near.

I have God’s power,
He gave it to me the day
when to His Son . . .
I gave my heart away.

It lifted the darkness,
revealing His True Light
giving me the ability
to trust in His holy might.

to believe without seeing

Anxiety’s Trap ~

I felt the trap,
of anxiety
set a snare
on my sanity.

The conditions,
were just ripe
that at my heart
it took a swipe.

I took the bait,
ran away with it
then fell into
a nervous snit.

It took some time,
for me to see
this isn’t where
God wants me.

So I sent my own trap,
for anxiety . . .
now with God’s love
fear had no priority!

is it taking the place
of your eternal treasure?

I’ll Praise Him No Matter What ~

Lord, I’ll praise You in the quietness,
when my soul is at rest
I’ll praise You in the tranquil times
when I’m feeling oh, so blessed.

I’ll praise You while in the valley,
when my spirit is feeling low
I’ll praise You in darker times
when I’m not sure which way to go.

I’ll praise You from the mountain top,
when my heart with You is right
I’ll praise You for each victory
when I’m soaking in Your light.

I’ll praise You in the gusts that blow,
when my soul is tossed about
I’ll praise You in the stormy sea

Spare-Tire Christians ~

Spare-tire Christians,
smooth and tread-bare
only have faith . . .
when they lose air.

Calling on God,
only when deflated
the rest of the time
their ego’s inflated.

Spare-tire Christians,
come out of the trunk
only when they run . . .
out of good luck.

Praying to God,
for an easy, quick fix
then they speed off
back to their old tricks.

they only need God . . .
when they break down!

Restless No More ~

When your worries,
leave you restless
and your fears
render you useless.

That’s when you need,
to ask God to free you
from the concerns
that you’re enslaved to.

When your anxieties,
leave you jittery
and your emotions
cause you misery.

That’s when you need,
to ask Jesus to impart
the calm only He can
bring into your heart.

When your fears and cares,
have you feeling edgy
let the peace of Jesus . . .
make your nerves steady!

A Pillar Of Wisdom ~

Sometimes I’m unsure,
of the way I should go
and I wish I had me . . .
a pillar of light to show.

For my troubles and cares,
cloud up my vision
and I need God’s clarity
to make my decision.

Sometimes I’m hesitant,
deciding the best route
and I need God’s guidance
to clear up any doubt.

For my thoughts run rampant,
with the options before me
and I need His guiding light
so the way I can see.

Sometimes when I’m stymied,
not knowing what to do
so I pray and ask God for . . .
a pillar of wisdom too!

Keep On Persisting On ~

Faith feeling sluggish,
got no get up and go
are you starting to get
for the race too slow?

Well you need to continue,
to keep on keeping on . . .
and on Jesus’ strength
persist drawing upon.

Trust feels lacking,
lost that staying power
are you beginning to sense
your hope has soured?

Well you need to continue,
to keep on persisting on . . .
and on God’s holy might
maintain drawing upon.

Is your faith sluggish,
is your trust listless . . .
well keep on holding on
to the life ~ righteous!

Renewed Each Day ~

I would have lost heart,
given up on spiritual things
I would have fainted away
from the troubles life brings.

I would have passed out,
lost my faith and my hope
I would have lost count

The Loom of Gloom ~

When my heart feels hopeless,
when desperation sets in
as I become anxious from . . .
the turmoil twirling within.

I drop to my knees,
to my Father I plea
for His perfect peace
to wash over me.

When my mind feels helpless,
when gloom is on the loom
as I become anxious from . .
incoming thoughts of doom.

I drop to my knees,
to my Father I pray
for His Spirit of peace
to quickly come my way.

When my heart and mind,
feel hopeless and anxious

Troubles Abounding ~

In this fallen world . . .
there’ll be troubles abounding
worries and cares
conceptually confounding.

But, Jesus said we’re not,
to fret or to despair
but to hand over to Him
our every single care.

Each day there’s enough,
troubles of its own
packed full of anxiety
from the things unknown.

But, Jesus insisted,
we are not to dread
nor are we to panic
but to trust Him instead.

In this fallen world,
we’ll have plenty of distress
but, Jesus makes it clear
over them we needn’t obsess!
