If You Want To Be Transformed ~

if-you-want-to-be-transformed-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

If  you want to be transformed,
your mind you must renew
worry, disbelief and fear
you’ll need to put behind you.

Thoughts of faith and trust,
must be your way of thinking
putting confidence in God
should be your only reasoning.

Any unbelief or doubt,
you will need to get rid of
instead your mind must dwell
on God’s peace and perfect love.

You’ll need to think obedience,
if you want to know God’s will
your stubbornness and pride
you’ll need to silence and still.

If you want to be transformed,
then you must be teachable
into the depth of your heart
God must be reachable!

~~~~~
Romans 12:2
“And be not conformed
to this world:
but be ye transformed
by the renewing
of your mind,
that ye may prove
what is that good,
and acceptable,
and perfect,
will of God.”
Life Isn’t Fair ~
life-isnt-fair-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
God’s purposes are bigger,
than all of our troubles
He has His reason
for each of our struggles.
God uses our problems,
to temper our hearts
so His grace and mercy
in them He can impart.
God uses our worries,
to help us focus on
why He sent into this world
His own begotten Son.
God uses our burdens,
so we can learn to be
dependent on Jesus
not in what we can see.
God’s purposes are grander,
than our every care . . .
that’s why in the Bible
you won’t hear, life is fair!
The Key to Life ~
the-key-to-life-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
The key to life,
is in your hands
when the Bible
in it lands.
It opens the door,
to life, eternal
gets you up and over
sin’s every hurdle.
It holds the meaning,
to what life is about
it gives you hope
takes away the doubt.
It brings Light,
whether night or day
by shining Truth
on the Life and Way.
Jesus is the key,
to eternal life
He is the door . . .
that will end your strife!
~~~~~~~~

Revelation 3:20

“Behold, I stand at the door,
and knock: if any man hear
my voice, and open the door,
I will come in to him,
and will sup with him,
and he with me.”

Fear Naught ~

fear-naught-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Throughout the Bible,
we’re told not to fear
nor to be dismayed
for God is always near.

We’re told not to be,
fearful or discouraged
that in the Lord Himself
to always be encouraged.

We’re told not to worry,
God will not fail us
no matter what man does
in Him to always trust.

We’re told not to tremble,
nor to be faint-hearted
we’re told He will finish
whatever He has started

We’re told to our prayers,
God will bend His ear
that we needn’t doubt
our pleas He won’t hear.

We’re told perfect love,
casts out every fear . . .
that God will not forsake
but to Him, keep us near!

~~~~~~~~~
Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and of a good courage,
fear not, nor be afraid of them:
for the Lord thy God, he it is
that doth go with thee; he will
not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
Turning Fear into Faith ~
turning-fear-into-faith-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
Lord, turning fear into faith,
is possible to do . . .
if only we would leave
our troubles with You.
Then we will not be,
anxious or dismayed
we will have no reason
to ever be afraid.
We need to learn,
in You we can trust
that all of our concerns
You will take from us.
Then we will not worry,
or be full of trepidation
nor will our hearts feel
a hopeless desperation.
Lord, turning fear into faith,
we can all do . . .
but first we must take
our every care to You!
Tunneling Through ~
Tunneling Through ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
When up to your ears,
with problems and fear
before they swallow you up
ask God to draw you near.
Ask Him to give you,
the courage you need
so from fear’s sinkhole
you can be freed.
When life gets too hard,
to make your way though
before you start to panic
ask God what you should do.
He’ll give you the strength,
to burrow your way out
and keep you from getting
buried in fear and doubt.
When worry buries you,
up to your ears . . .
let Jesus help you tunnel
through all your fears!
For Our Own Good ~
For Our GOod ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
God is at work in us,
He knows what’s good
He knows whether
we’ll do as we should.
He is in control,
over all things right
He knows whether
we’ll follow His light.
For our own good,
God’s working in us
He knows whether
we’ll doubt or trust.
He has a purpose,
each day for our life
He knows whether
it’ll bring joy or strife
God is at work in us,
for what’s good and right
and those who love Him
do so, with all their might!
This Too ~
This Too ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
This too I know,
will soon be gone
so to my faith
I will hold on.
I will stay strong,
I won’t be weak
for God’s grace
I’ll hourly seek.
His grace helps me,
to stick things out
for it calms my fears
dispels my doubt.
It buoys my trust,
dispels my nerves
it shows me worrying
does not, Him serve.
This too I know,
shall soon end and pass
until it does  . . .
I’ll not let fear trespass.
In Times Of ~
In Times Of ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
In times of prosperity,
God wants our praise
in times of affliction
God wants our gaze.
In times of sickness,
God wants our prayer
in times of hardship
God wants our care.
In times of opportunity,
God wants our devotion
in times of disappointment
God wants our emotion.
In times of sorrow,
God wants our grief
in times of doubt
God wants our belief.
In times of confusion,
God wants our uncertainty
in times of spiritual need
God wants our prosperity!
Psalm 1:3
forth his fruit in his season; his leaf
also shall not wither; and whatsoever
he doeth shall prosper.”
Faith Rises ~
Faith Rises ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Faith rises,
above our fears
calms our nerves
dries our tears.
Faith overcomes,
every obstacle
makes all things
truly possible.
Faith conquers,
all our doubts
with triumph cheers
and joyous shouts.
Faith defeats.
our worst enemy
fights off the devil
trounces his army.
Faith rises,
above our concerns
calms our worries . . .
till Jesus returns!
IF ~
I Trust ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Life is full of if’s,
doubts and uncertainties
urgent situations . . .
turning into emergencies.
We can never know,
what the future brings
yet we still fret and worry
over unforeseen things.
Life is full of if’s,
impossibilities and fears
disasters and tragedies
that bring us all to tears.
But IF we were to stay,
focused in on Jesus . . .
anxiety over the future
would not take a hold of us.
For Jesus is our hope,
in the midst of urgency
and when we trust in Him . . .
there’s no real emergency!
~~~~~~~~

Psalm 56:3-4

in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh
can do unto me.”

Sea Worthy ~

Sea Worthy ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~

Today upon the sea,
I went out for a sail
the day was perfect
as far as I could tell.

The skies were sunny,
the water was clear
giving me no reason
to have me any fear.

There I was floating,
on the sea of tranquility
relaxing in the calm
of the water’s serenity.

The breeze was gentle,
while I drifted about
it gave me no cause
to worry or to doubt.

Then suddenly I saw,
a squall in the distance
and I knew right away
I’d need some assistance.

So, to my loving Savior,
I began to pray . . .
for more faith in the blast
barreling my way.

For, I knew by myself,
I’d face a stormy journey
if Jesus didn’t make me . . .
in Him ~ sea worthy!

~~~~~~~
Matthew 8:24-25
“And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea,
insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves:
but he was asleep.
And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying,
Lord, save us: we perish
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful,
O ye of little faith?
  Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea;
and there was a great calm.”
Pour Out Your Heart ~
 Here is My Heart ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Pour out your heart to Jesus,
tell Him what’s bothering you
let Him know you need Him
to show you what to do.
Don’t hold anything back,
give Him all you’ve got
let Him have each worrisome
every troublesome thought.
Let it all flow out,
let Him know you are weak
He is always there for those
who are willing to find and seek.
Dispense onto Jesus,
your every fear and doubt
explain to Him your anxiety
what your nervousness is about.
Pour your heart out to Jesus,
He will hear your every prayer
for He came into this world . . .
so your burdens, He could bear!
The Waiting Game ~
Wait, I say Wait ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Waiting can be so hard,
so difficult to do . . .
especially when fear
has its grip on you.
Waiting isn’t a game,
any of us likes to play . . .
but it still toys with us
whenever we pray.
Waiting isn’t easy,
it’s a tough thing to do
especially when doubt
enters into you.
Waiting isn’t a virtue,
most of us possess . . .
with our gut feelings
it likes to mess.
Waiting on the Lord,
takes a  strong heart . . .
and if we learn to trust
faith will do its part!
and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord.”
God’s Mercy, Love and Grace ~
God's Grace, Mercy and Love ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~
Sometimes my mind wanders,
all over the place . . .
but, it always comes back
to God’s amazing grace.
Some days I try to make it,
on my very own . . .
but, I’m always lead back
to God’s loving throne.
Sometimes my faith,
begins to doubt and waiver
but, I’m always brought back
to God’s abundant favor.
Sometimes for my wrongs,
I still feel I am guilty
but, it always comes around
to God’s tender mercy.
Sometimes my feet roam,
as I run the faithful race . . .
but, they always return
to God’s mercy, love and grace!
Mountain Moving Faith ~
CHRISTIan poetry by deborah ann ~ Mountain Moving Faith ~ photo Creation Swap
Lord, I got me this mountain,
I need for You to remove
I’ve got me this situation
only You can improve.
I got me this problem,
by myself I can’t resolve
I’ve got me this crisis
only You can absolve.
Lord, I got me this burden,
I don’t like my condition
I feel as if my trust in You
is suffering from malnutrition.
I got me this predicament,
alone I can’t figure out
I got me this dilemma
filling me with fear and doubt.
Lord, I got me this mountain,
it needs to be removed
but, I know it is my faith . . .
that needs to be improved!
Matthew 21:21
“Jesus answered and said unto them,
Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith,
which is done to the fig tree, but also if
ye shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into
the sea; it shall be done.”
Go Easy on Yourself ~
dont-worry CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
 Go easy on yourself,
don’t put yourself down
don’t get depressed
or wear a big old frown.
Don’t carry that burden,
by yourself, physically
don’t take on that load
all alone, spiritually.
Go easy on yourself,
don’t stress yourself out
don’t second guess
or succumb to self-doubt.
Don’t let fear and worry,
eat away at you
don’t allow the enemy
to tell you what to do.
Go easy on yourself,
and don’t forget to pray
for Jesus promises . . .
to give you peace each day!
Philippians 4:6-7
Make Fear Disappear ~
Make Fear Disappear ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Life is full of apprehension,
worry, dread and fear . . .
and I know of only one way
to make them disappear.
So, whenever I’m fearful,
it’s Jesus I focus on
until my trepidation
is all but spent and gone.
For, He gives me strength,
to overcome my anxiety
whenever I give to Him
in my life first priority.
Whenever nervousness,
takes a grip on me
it’s Jesus  I focus on
until, it’s His light I see.
For, He brings clarity,
in the midst of my doubt
His light floods the dread
from my mind right out.
Life is full of apprehension,
worry, dread and fear
but, focusing in on Jesus
will make them disappear!
Spiritual . . . Sinkholes ~
~ CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~ Devil's Sinkhole Texas Park and Wildlife
Spiritual sinkholes,
lie just beneath the surface
when our faith corrodes . . .
we’ll lose, our Godly purpose.
The erosion underneath,
causes our trust to collapse
then into worldly things . . .
we will begin to relapse.
Spiritual sinkholes,
any one of us, could fall in
they will swallow us up . . .
until our hope, caves within.
The gradual deterioration,
of faith’s true foundation
is the underlying reason . . .
we descend into temptation.
Spiritual sinkholes,
causes doubt and fear to flow
they’ll wear down our faith  . . .
until a void forms, deep below!
Do Not Worry ~
~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Do Not Worry - IBible Verse
Do not worry,
it’s easy for us to say
but for the most part . . .
it’s not the chosen way.
For, we worry over things,
we cannot control
over the ones we can . . .
worry, still takes its toll.
Do not worry,
if we do, we don’t trust
that God is truly able . . .
to take care of us.
For, when we worry,
it only makes us doubt
the things impossible . . .
God can even work out.
Do not worry,
do not be dismayed
give God your weakness . . .
for His strength today!
~~~~~~~

Isaiah 41:10

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:

Anxiety Free ~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deboraann ~ cast-all-your-anxiety IBible Verses

So often, we succumb,
to our dread and fear
forgetting the promise
God is always near.

We often start to think,
God must be mad at us
forgetting the reason
why Jesus, we even trust.

So often we let worry,
take control of our mind
forgetting God’s peace
is ours to seek and find.

We often feel the panic,
before it even sets in
forgetting when we doubt
is just, letting Satan win.

So often, we succumb,
to worry, doubt and fear
but if we remember to pray . . .
our anxiety ~ will disappear!

Troubled Waters ~

Cross Pathway by Kevin Carden free photo #19122

I’ve been through troubled waters,
in the turbulence of my mind
I’ve been tossed and shaken
by violent winds of every kind.

I’ve been blown from here to there,
in this whirlwind called life . . .
I’ve been in the many storms
that have only caused me strife.

I’ve been through tumultuous times,
they were long as they were hard
I’ve been through mind twisters
that should have left me scarred.

I’ve been in deep dark waters,
with no sure way to get out
I’ve been in Satan’s cesspool
filled with fear and doubt.

I’ve been through troubled waters,
of every type and every kind . . .
but, Jesus has been the bridge
guarding my heart and mind!
