Heavenly Guidance ~

Heavenly guidance,
we all need to seek
for it will give strength
whenever we’re weak.

But it will take us,
some doing on our part
to hear the Holy Spirit
speaking to our heart.

Heavenly counseling,
we all need to pray for
for it will lead us
straight to heaven’s door.

But we need to learn,
to wait and be still
and not budge an inch
until we know God’s will.

Heavenly guidance,
we all need to find
for it brings peace
to both heart and mind!

God’s Searching Glance ~

God’s searching glance,
never ceases . . .
over all the universe
it stretches and reaches.

There is no secret place,
that He can’t see into
no screen or cover
He can’t look through.

God’s searching gaze,
is penetrating . . .
thoughts and intentions
He’s always calculating.

He scans the whole world,
all day and all night
watches the good fight evil
right before His sight.

God’s searching glance,
constantly looks to find . . .
all those who trust Him
with a whole heart and mind!

God’s Looking ~

God looks and He looks,
hoping to find . . .
those who love Him
with whole hearts and minds.

He scans the whole earth,
His eyes wander around
seeks everywhere . . .
but so few are found

God eyes keep moving,
they run all about
looking to find souls
who to Him are devout.

He looks hard to locate,
hearts that are perfect
those who have for Him
holy fear and respect.

God looks and He looks
but finds hardly a one
for so many now  . . .
reject and deny His Son!

Eternal Grief ~

I could read everything offered,
on religion and theology
but, if I don’t believe in Jesus
it would all just be garbology.

I could study every book,
written by man on his thought
but, if I don’t believe in Jesus
all I’ve gleaned will be for naught.

I could go to a university,
cram long into the dead of night
but, if I don’t believe in Jesus
I will never see the True Light.

I could take tests and exams,
to see what I’ve learned
but, if I don’t believe in Jesus
in hell I’ll forever burn.

I could read everything offered,
by man about his belief . . .
but, if I don’t believe in Jesus
I’ll just end up with eternal grief!

Before God ~

One day before God,
you will give an account
as to why you shunned Him
and shut His Son out.

One day you will be,
to God accountable
and for your rebellion
be held responsible.

One day judgement’s seat,
you will have to face
and tell God why you rejected
His gift of love and grace.

One day Jesus.
will determine your fate
and open up to you the pit
and not the narrow gate.

One day before God,

Fire tested,
tried through and though
fired tested
for all I do, Lord for you.

Fire tested,
self-reliant or God dependent
fire tested
unremorseful or repentant?

Fired tested,
division or justification
fired tested
defilement or regeneration?

Fired tested,
self-sufficient or Spirit filled
fire tested
my own desires or God’s will?

will I stand up to the flame

for all, I do in His name!

Supernatural Hearing ~

God has supernatural hearing,
He can hear what’s in your heart
He can see the words forming
in your mind before they start.

He can hear the true intentions,
of what you’re going to say
He knows when pride and ego
are about to get in the way.

God listens to every thought,
to each word you consider
He pays close attention
to the ones harsh and bitter.

God has supernatural hearing,
He hears us before we speak
He knows that our thoughts
are often tongue in cheek!

What Will Be My Excuse?

On that day we all will stand,
before our Lord and Savior
the book of life, He’ll open up
granting to some eternal favor.

Will you hear the words you long,
will your name be among the few
or will you hear “Depart from me,
for you I never knew?”

Yes, on judgment day for many,
the Lord will listen to their plea
they’ll make up their excuses
as why from sin, they didn’t flee.

They may say I did not know,
what You required of me ~
and He will say “I gave to you My Word
so the truth and the way you’d see.”

They’ll give Him all their reasons,
and will  put up a strong defense
but Jesus will remind each of them
of their every secret offense.

Then He will turn them away,
they will not enter heaven’s gate
instead Jesus will sentence them
to their own damning fate.

What will my excuse be,
what unconfessed sins,  have I done?
This I must ask myself,  before I stand . . .
in front of God and His Son!

Desperately Seeking Jesus

Today in the  church,
it’s hard for me to find
those who are seeking Jesus
with all their hearts and minds.

I listen to  the preacher’s sermons,
I read the teacher’s blogs
but sometimes it feels as if
I am in a decomposing bog.

It seems  the truth is decaying,
there’s no fine line in the sand
and I wonder if Jesus . . .
for their foolishness would stand.

I know all about forgiveness,
and the gift of His eternal grace
but to continue on in sin . . .
is to God ~ a disgrace.

Years ago, Jesus told the women,
He’d not condemn her for her sin
but then He warned her . . .
not to go and sin again.

Sin is sin,
no matter how you look at it
and today in the  church
the sinner comfortably sits.

It’s no longer popular,
to speak against sinful things
it’s all about God’s love . . .
and the wealth that it brings.

But, God is more than love,
He has another side of Him too
and one day He’ll bring His wrath
upon the sin that His people do.

So, I am desperately seeking Jesus,
in the new age church of today and
if I cannot find the truth I think . . .
I’ll just stay away!

Glory, Glory, Glory ~

Glory, Glory, Glory,
God’s awesome power
strikes in the darkness
at this gloomy hour.

Troubles may be brewing,
but His awesome love
beams down brightly
from His throne above.

Times may be testing,
but His awesome peace
to all of His believers
will never fail or cease.

The tempest is a blowing,
but His awesome trust
keeps His faithful standing
in the strongest gust.

The earth is a trembling,
but His loving flock
knows He will not forsake
those clinging to the Rock.

Glory, Glory, Glory,
God’s awesome wonder
is shaking up the world
to wake it from its slumber!

May I Be Found Guilty!

When I get to heaven . . .
I hope to be found guilty of
living my life like my Savior
with unconditional love.

May I be convicted,
of trusting  in the good Word
for believing with all my heart
the truth that I’ve heard.

May I be found at fault,
for walking faithfully in His ways
for serving Him joyfully
with a heart full of praise.

May I be held responsible,
for running a committed race
for trusting God for His strength
having  perseverance in my pace.

May I be  held accountable,
for the way I lived my life
for giving Jesus my burdens
and all of my daily strife.

May I be at fault,
for being to God, too thankful
for giving Jesus all my love
always to Him, being grateful.

When I get to heaven . . .
I hope to be found guilty of
accepting His grace and mercy
and the gift of eternal love!
