Jesus Came To Save ~

Jesus came not to condemn,
but to save us from our sin
to free us from the bondage
of the evilness that lives within.

But, the flesh fights the spirit,
and works its way into our life
bringing us upheaval in this world
and into the next one endless strife.

The works of the flesh are clear,
fornication and uncleanness,
idolatry, witchcraft, lasciviousness
envy, hatred and drunkenness.

Add to these adultery and wrath,
selfishness, strife and greed
impurity, murder and covertness
from which we all need to be freed.

Jesus, came not to condemn,
but to save those who confess
repent and turn from their sins
and no longer transgress!

John 3:17

“For God sent not his Son
into the world to condemn
the world;
but that the world
through him might be saved.”

Before The World Was ~

Before the world was,
before there was day
Jesus’ love for us . .
was already on its way.

Before the earth spun,
before the night began
Jesus’ love for us . . .
was already in God’s plan.

Before the seas flowed,
before the stars twinkled
Jesus’ love for us . . .
was already being kindled.

Before the birds took on flight,
before the trees sprouted
Jesus’ love for us . .
was already getting routed.

Before the animals roamed,
before the fruit yielded
Jesus’ love for us . . .
was already being wielded.

Before things started creeping,
before the herb seeded
Jesus’ love for us . . .
was already seen as needed.

Before man was even formed,
before woman needed molding
Jesus’ love for us . . .
had already begun unfolding!

Look At Me Jesus ~

Look at me Jesus,
look at what You’ve done
You took this sinner
made me with You one.

You took this hard heart,
once made of cold stone
put into me one of flesh
and made it Your home.

Look at me Jesus,
look at all You did for me
you’ve taken blinded eyes
so Your love I could see.

You took away my shame,
dried up tears, repentant
so that on Your grace
I’d become dependent.

Look at me Jesus,
look at my thankful soul
for in You it is now . . .
made complete and whole!

~~~~~~~~
Colossians 2:9-10
“For in him dwelleth
all the fulness of
the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him,
which is the head of all
principality and power”
Repent, Repent, Repent ~
What ever happened to,
the old man on the street . . .
holding his sign warning
everyone that he’d meet?
There was a truth to be told,
a new kingdom was to come
and he was not too worried
about offending anyone.
Most people mocked him,
but, he didn’t feel any shame
for he wasn’t seeking after
worldly fortune or fame.
He wasn’t a rich man,
in fact he looked quite poor
but the riches that he had
were eternal and forever more.
What happened to the old man,
whose message rang a bell?
Repent ~ Repent ~ Repent
or you’ll go straight to hell!
and the kingdom of God is at hand:
repent ye, and believe the gospel.
God Draws Those He Knows ~
God works,
in the hearts of man
He draws those
He knows He can.
God quickens,
the souls of the ones
who by faith will partake
in the grace of His Son.
God prepares,
the minds willing
to receive His hope
peace and healing.
God pulls in,
those He knows
who will follow
the way He shows.
God works,
in man’s heart
He knew who’d be His . . .
right from the start!
which hath sent me
A Trump Bellowing Out ~
One day out of heaven,
you’ll hear a shout
along with a trump
bellowing out.
A voice you will hear,
of that of a King
signaling eternal peace
I’m here to bring.
The dead will rise up,
from their earthly grave
as they believe Jesus’ life
for their sins He gave.
Those who are yet alive,
will be caught in the air
for, they believe on the cross
Jesus their sins did too bear.
One day all will hear,
a loud trump, a shout . . .
will with Jesus you leave
or will you be left out?
~~~~~~~

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

“For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds, to meet the
Lord in the air: and so shall
we ever be with the Lord.”

Wherefore comfort one another
with these words.”

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Child Of The World ~

Oh, child of the world,
to its ways you bow
to its wickedness
you’ve taken a vow.

But, God still sees you,
as one of His unsaved
and your condition to Him
is sinful and grave.

Oh, child of the world,
to its pleasures you run
to its evilness
you don’t think to shun.

But, God still sees you,
as one of His own
to you His mercy
He wants to make known.

Oh, child of the world,
where are you off too . . .
will you follow the same path
of those before you?

Into this ungodly world,
you don’t have to proceed
if your heart to Jesus . . .
today you concede.

Oh, child of the world,
before you too get lost
consider the love and grace
of Jesus, on Calvary’s cross!

This is My Savior ~

This is My Savior ~ CHRIStian poetry by deborah ann

This is my Savior,
He can be yours too
if you’d only let Him
work inside of you.

He will instruct you,
show you the way
He will bring light
to your darkest day.

He will make you,
into someone new
your every thought
He will renew.

This is my Savior,
He wants to be yours too
oh, just you watch
the things He can do.

He will bring you joy,
amidst your pain
in Him there’s no loss
only endless gain.

He will be there,
when your all alone
He has ready for you
an eternal home.

He is your strength,
when you’re weak
and His salvation
He wants you to seek.

God is my Savior,
He can be yours too
if you’d just let Jesus
dwell inside of you!

His Shoulders ~

His shoulders,
my burden
His grace
my certain.

His pity,
my sin
His love
my win.

His peace,
my regret
His death
my debt.

His forethought,
my lack
His intercession
my back.

His shoulders,
my life
His sorrow
my strife!

A Broken Spirit ~

A broken spirit,
sin’s conviction
a life now rid
of its infliction.

A contrite heart,
pride’s rejection
a life now free
of its direction.

A humble mind,
greed’s ejection
a life now rid
of its reflection.

A soul repentant,
shames detection
a life now purged
of its condition.

A broken spirit,
humble and contrite
is a life no longer . . .
without His light!

“The sacrifices of God
are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise.”

A Path Into My Heart ~

One day I heard a voice,
calling out to me . . .
it said if you follow
I will set you free.

Free from the struggle,
free from the strife
for I will lead you
to find eternal life.

The voice that I heard,
at first seemed so far away
but, as I listened
it grew closer everyday.

From out of the wilderness,
my soul it was beckoning
saying I’ve prepared a way
worth your pursuing.

So I made a path,
for Jesus into my heart
and ever since that day
we have never been apart!

~~~~~
Luke 3:4
“As it is written in the book
of the words of Esaias the prophet,
saying, The voice of one crying
in the wilderness, Prepare ye
the way of the Lord,
make his paths straight.”
Saved By The Blood ~
Saved By The Blood ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
No candle lit,
no religious rite
can save you from
your sinful plight.
No work or act,
nor any worldly deed
faith plus grace
is all you will need.
No song sung,
no musical band
can pull you out
of satan’s hand.
No fancy cathedral,
no religious ceremony
only God can soften
a heart that is stony.
No garment worn,
no posture stance
can give a soul
a dying chance.
Only the blood of Jesus,
can save your soul
everything else . . .
let not your heart control!
Titus 3:5
“Not by works of righteousness
which we have done,
but according to his mercy
he saved us, by the washing
of regeneration, and renewing
of the Holy Ghost;”
A Life Abundant ~
Lord You have given me,
a life that is abundant
one that is victorious
jubilant and triumphant.
For, You have given me,
victory over sin
though the thief may come
my soul he’ll never win.
Lord, You have given me,
grace plentiful
all because You are
so richly merciful.
For, You have given me,
hope everlasting
and peace beyond
my own understanding.
Lord, You have given me,
a heart that is new
so no man can destroy
the love I have for You!
~~~~~~~

John 10:10

“The thief cometh not,
but for to steal,
and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might
have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly.”

Faith Like A Thief ~

Give me faith Lord,
like the thief on the cross
for I am just a sinner
who is helpless and lost.

Intercede for Me,
from Your seat on the throne
plead with Your Father
heaven should be my home.

Give me faith Lord,
filled with Your grace
let Your love for me
my evil heart embrace.

 Remember me Lord,
when Your kingdom I enter
so in paradise with You
we can be for ever.

Give me faith Lord,
just like that remorseful thief
for when I die . . .
let it be, in utter belief!

~~~~~~~
Luke 23:40-43
“But the other answering rebuked him,
saying, Dost not thou fear God,
seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
And we indeed justly;
for we receive the due reward
of our deeds: but this man
hath done nothing amiss.
And he said unto Jesus, Lord,
remember me when thou comest
into thy kingdom.
And Jesus said unto him,
Verily I say unto thee,
Today shalt thou be with
me in paradise.”
The Remorseful Appeal ~
God hears our cries,
our sins He knows
He sees the tears
from our eyes flow.
God sees us weeping,
over our disgrace
He knows our need
for His merciful grace.
God listens to our sobs,
as His name we call
He watches the tears
from broken hearts fall.
God hears the outcry,
of our remorseful appeal
He knows by His stripes
our lives Jesus came to heal.
God understands our cries,
for His own Son, too wept
and with His in a bottle
all of our tears are kept!
put thou my tears into
thy bottle:
are they not in thy book?”
Come and Consider ~
Come and Consider ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Come now and think,
let this sink in . . .
let us reason about
the effects of sin.
Contemplate with Me,
sin’s ramification
lets explore the meaning
of eternal damnation.
Let us mull this over,
where has sin gotten you
let’s consider together
what you need to do.
Envision with Me,
your sins forgiven
a life of peace and joy
with Me up in heaven.
Come now and think,
imagine a life sin free
that is what I can give
to all who love Me!
~~~~~~~

Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, and let us
reason together,
saith the Lord:
though your sins be
as scarlet,
they shall be as white
as snow;
though they be red
like crimson,
they shall be as wool.”

This Is The Life ~

This is the life,
this is what I call livin’
this is what it is like . . .
when your sins are forgiven.

This is first-rate,
this is what I always needed
this is what it is like . . .
when your life to God is heeded.

This is the real-deal,
this is how it should always be
this is what it is like . . .
to have Jesus abiding in me.

This is top-notch,
this is all I could ask for
this is what it is like . . .
believing in life forever more.

This is life,
at its absolute best
this is what it is like . . .
having God’s peace and rest!

The Gospel of Life ~

Thank you Lord,
for the Gospel of Life
for giving hope
instead of strife.

For the light,
of Your love
for Your Spirit
from above.

Thank you Lord,
for true liberty
for over sin
having victory.

For forgiveness,
and Your grace
for the chance
to seek Your face.

Thank you Lord,
for life eternal
for saving me from . . .
hell’s infernal!

My Joy Found ~

In Jesus,
my joy was found
and because of Him
I am heaven bound.

I found my faith in Jesus,
His name fills me with glee
all because I believe . . .
it was He, that first loved me.

I found my way in Jesus,
no longer am I lost
for He has taken me . . .
to the foot of the cross.

I found my hope in Jesus,
with Him my treasures I store
ever since I heard His rap . . .
and open to Him the door.

I found my joy in Jesus,
His name reminds me of
the life I have now . . .
due to His grace and love!

~~~~~~
there is joy in the presence
of the angels of God
over one sinner that repenteth.”
Take Back Your Joy ~
Lord, give back Your joy,
to those stumbling . . .
let them feel Your love
once again humbling.
Reignite in them the hope,
when they first meet You
let again Your saving light
in their life’s break through.
Let their repentant heart,
once again feel Your calm
let the joy of being saved
be again their soothing balm.
Restore in them the trust,
as when You they first accepted
renew Your mercy and grace
so again You’ll be connected.
Lord, let the contrite take back,
the joy of their salvation . . .
return unto them their state
of everlasting elation!
of thy salvation; and uphold
Jesus Is All I Need ~
I said to myself,
Jesus is all I need
now that from sin
I have been freed.
He said unto my soul,
I am hope eternal
tis why I saved you
from hell’s infernal.
I said to myself,
Jesus is my Lord
now that my life
and His is in accord.
He said unto my soul,
I’m Your Savior
thanks to My Father’s
mercy and favor.
I said to myself,
where would I be
if not for His grace
being shed on me.
He said unto my soul,
you would be lost
and so My life I gave
to you at not a cost.
I said to myself,
Jesus is all I need
He said unto my soul
it is I in you . . .
who’s been freed!
Everlasting ~
Everything around us,
eventually will be gone
but the peace of Jesus
will eternally carry on.
For He’s everlasting,
His love is unchanging
His grace for each of us
is tirelessly unfailing.
All that we possess,
will someday vanish
but our hope in Jesus
will not ever perish.
For Jesus is the same,
yesterday and today
to His Father’s throne
He’s still the only doorway.
Everything around us,
will one day be but gone
but life everlasting . . .
we can joyfully count on!
