In The Spring Of Life ~

In the Spring of life,
all things become new
for those who Lord  . . .
put their trust in You.

For, the season of Spring,
is a time for cleansing
a time for heavy hearts
to do some purging.

In the Spring of life,
there comes a newness
for those who Lord . . .
soak in all of Your goodness.

For, the season of Spring,
is a time for renewing
a time for weary souls
to receive their healing.

In the Spring of life,
all things become new
for those who Lord . . .
give their heart’s to You!

Jesus Died for All ~

Jesus gave Himself for me,
He gave Himself for you
He gave Himself for each
one in the world too.

Jesus died for our sins,
He gave up His life
so we’d be delivered
from its damning strife.

Jesus gave Himself for all,
He gave Himself to set free
He gave Himself to break
on us, satan’s authority.

Jesus became the ransom,
His life was the price
so one day with Him
we could be in paradise.

Jesus gave Himself for you,
He gave Himself for me . . .
so from sin we’d be freed
if we so choose to be!

ours only, but also for
the sins of the whole world.”

Jesus’ Home ~

jesus-home-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

My heart,
Jesus’ home
my soul
God’s throne.

God’s peace
my strife
my salvation
Jesus’ life.

My eyes,
Jesus’  light
my weakness
God’s might.

God’s Word,
my ways
my thoughts
Jesus sways.

My sinfulness,
God’s favor
my hope . . .
my Savior!

God of The Repentant ~

god-of-the-repentant-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

God of the lonely,
God of the rejected
may Your mercy be
in our lives injected.

God of the depressed,
God of the dispirited
give us Your favor
though unwarranted.

God of the guilty,
God of the hopeless
may Your grace
hold us blameless.

God of the repentant,
God of the mournful
may we be for our sins
truly remorseful!

~~~~~~
Matthew 9:13
“But go ye and learn
what that meaneth,
I will have mercy,
and not sacrifice:
for I am not come
to call the righteous,
but sinners to repentance.”
A New Comandment ~
a-new-comandment-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
A new commandment,
for you to do . . .
to love others as much
as Jesus loves you.
You must put away,
envy, greed and strife
if others are to see
Jesus’ love in you life.
You need to be the light,
exposing the true way
love must be the motive
behind the words you say.
You need to be honest,
about Jesus’ great love
how much He hates sin
as does His Father above.
A new commandment,
we were all given . . .
with love we need to tell
why it is we are forgiven!
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life.”
Remember Your First Love ~
remeber-your-first-love-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
Remember your First Love,
how you once felt
how the sound of His name
made your heart melt?
Remember the hope,
how it lifted up your soul
when by His stripes
you were made whole?
Remember the joy,
how much you were elated
when your life to Jesus
you first dedicated?
Remember the grace,
how it washed over you
how God’s loving mercy
made everything new?
Remember your First Love,
how Jesus made you feel?
If not, it is time for you
to get back your zeal!
somewhat against thee,
thy first love.”
My Song of Salvation ~
my-song-of-salvation-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
With an open heart,
I want to sing
about my Lord
my God, my King
I want to share,
what’s on my soul
songs of the One
who made me whole.
I want to sing,
of God’s favor
how in His death
He became our Savior.
I want to chime,
eternity’s bell
and save a soul
from the fires of hell.
With an open heart,
I want to sing
till in your own
the truth will ring!
I want to tell,
of His loving grace
till in your own heart
His mercy you embrace!
God’s Adoption Plan ~
chosen-and-loved-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
Jesus conquered the grave,
defeated death . . .
so we don’t have to fear
our dying breath.
The victory is His,
to which we are a heir
one day in Heaven
we will see Jesus there.
A free gift we were given,
when satan, Jesus defeated
and now by His grace
our faith is completed.
Blameless and holy,
before God, we will stand
for, Jesus’ death fulfilled
His Father’s adoption plan.
Jesus conquered,
what we could not do . . .
through His precious blood
in Him, we’re made new!
~~~~~~~

Ephesians 1:4-5

” According as he hath chosen
us in him before the foundation
of the world, that we should
be holy and without blame
before him in love:

Having predestinated us
unto the adoption of children
by Jesus Christ to himself,
according to the good pleasure
of his will,”

From This to That ~

from-this-to-that-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

From hopelessness,
to elation
from death
to salvation.

From uncertainty,
to affirmation
from depression
to jubilation.

From despair,
to joyful living
from ungrateful
to thanksgiving.

From restlessness,
to tranquility
from sinfulness
to humility.

From rebellion,
to compliance
from resistance
to reliance.

From this to that,
is what God can do
if you will let Him
put a new heart in you!

~~~~~
Ezekiel 36:26
” A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put
within you: and I will take
away the stony heart out of
your flesh, and I will give
you an heart of flesh.”
Joy’s Eternal Yield ~
eternal-joy-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
I came across a field,
it look like all the rest
the weeds and thistles
grew without contest.
But, as I explored,
this grassland full of tares
I came upon a plot
sans any thorny snares.
The patch was pasture green,
where not a single weed grew
is was like a lush meadow
meant to restore and renew.
It was in this patch of land,
that I finally discovered
Jesus loves me even though . . .
with thorns I was covered.
I packed away my misgivings,
and bought into that field
for the treasure I had found . . .
brought joy, as its eternal yield!
~~~~~~~

Matthew 13:44

“Again, the kingdom of heaven
is like unto treasure hid in a field;
the which when a man hath found,
he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth
and selleth all that he hath,
and buyeth that field.

Underneath The Surface ~

underneath-the-surface-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Underneath the surface,
below the harden crust
into someone’s heart
plant a seed of trust.

Then each day give it,
some living-water
from the streams of life
flowing from our Father.

Don’t be discouraged,
if results you don’t first see
just pray for the seed to sprout
while down on your knee.

Ask God  for it to take root,
to break thru the stony heart
then wait for the Holy Spirit
to come and do His part.

For underneath the surface,
a lot is going on . . .
and the seed of faith will grow
as it finds, the light of His Son!

Once Blinded Eye ~

once-blinded-eye-chrsitian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Once blinded eyes,
they couldn’t see . . .
through the darkness
surrounding me.

But, since they’ve seen,
Jesus through His light
they now recognize evil
upon first sight.

Once blinded eyes,
didn’t see the wickedness
nor the penalty
for their recklessness.

But, since they’ve set,
their gaze on above
they can see the things
in the world not to love.

Once blinded eyes,
the dark couldn’t perceive
until in Jesus . . .
they came to believe!

Soften My Heart Lord ~

soften-my-heart-lord-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Soften my heart Lord,
make it pliable
so my faith
can be believable.

Unbind my heart Lord,
make it bendable
so my hope
can be teachable.

Loosen my heart Lord,
make it workable
so my fruit
can be multiple

Sweeten my heart Lord,
make it lovable
so my trust
can be yieldable.

Soften my heart Lord,
make it faithful
so for You I can be
multi-fruitful!

and brought forth fruit,

some sixtyfold,

some thirtyfold.

The Key to Life ~

the-key-to-life-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

The key to life,
is in your hands
when the Bible
in it lands.

It opens the door,
to life, eternal
gets you up and over
sin’s every hurdle.

It holds the meaning,
to what life is about
it gives you hope
takes away the doubt.

It brings Light,
whether night or day
by shining Truth
on the Life and Way.

Jesus is the key,
to eternal life
He is the door . . .
that will end your strife!

~~~~~~~~
Revelation 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door,
and knock: if any man hear
my voice, and open the door,
I will come in to him,
and will sup with him,
and he with me.”
Hungering and Thirsting ~
hungering-and-thristing-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann-belka
Hungering and thirsting,
after God’s righteousness
are the soul’s trembling with
an awe-fearing mindfulness.
Filled with true penitence,
the hungry soul now feeds
on how only God can fulfill
all of their wants and needs.
They long to know,
everything that they can
about how God has for them
a righteous-living plan.
The thirsty soul yearns,
for the Waters of life
for it knows no other way
to deal with sin’s strife.
They embrace the Truth,
the Life and the Way
the soul’s that do thirst
are the ones God can sway.
Hungering and thirsting,
after Divine holiness
are soul’s who desire . . .
to live a life of godliness!
which do hunger and thirst
after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.”
The Hand of God ~
the-hand-of-god-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann-belka
I’ve felt the hand of disappointment,
slap me across the face
I’ve handled discouragement
without finesse and grace.
I’ve felt the sting of rejection,
burn from head to toe
I’ve handled the loneliness
by hiding in my own shadow.
I’ve felt the weight of despair,
hanging heavy on my heart
I’ve handled the agony
in ways not always smart.
I’ve felt the pain of self-loathing,
like a deadly cancer spread
I’ve handled the mockery
by repeating what others said.
I have felt the hand of God,
touch my life within . . .
now I am only disappointed
if I don’t spend time with Him!
~~~~~~

Psalm 42:11

” Why art thou cast down,
O my soul? and why art thou
disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my
countenance, and my God.”

Signed, Sealed & Delivered ~

signed-sealed-and-delivered-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

I have a signed guarantee,
Jesus’ blood was the ink
endorsing my inheritance
now that our hearts interlink.

I have a relationship,
it’s secure and everlasting
and one day in God’s glory
my soul will be basking.

I received a promise,
with the Holy Spirit’s seal
a new heaven and earth
someday God will reveal.

I am in possession,
of great things to come
when Jesus returns
to set up His kingdom.

I have a signed guarantee,
it was delivered to me
the day for my sins . . .
Jesus died and set me free!

A New Creature ~

A New Creature ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I am a new creature,
for I am forgiven
ever since my life
to Jesus I have given.

I am now set free,
from my past behaviors
and behind God’s back
are all of my failures.

Any kind of temptation,
I am competent to flee
now that the Holy Spirit
dwells inside of me.

I am not ashamed,
nor am I considered guilty
for Jesus paid the debt
for my every iniquity.

I am a repenter,
I’ve been transformed
ever since the day
to Jesus I conformed!

Sleeping Saints ~

Sleeping Saints ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Sleeping saints,
need a shake . . .
from their apathy
the need to awake.

Snooze you lose,
so goes the saying
if they don’t waken
they’ll be ones remaining.

Sleeping saints,
they’re everywhere
they act as if . . .
they haven’t a care.

Their sleepy souls,
are in hibernation
to God’s truths
they’re in violation.

Sleeping saints,
need a shake . . .
so in the rapture
they can partake!

So Many Who Need Jesus ~

So Many Who Need Jesus ~ CHRISTIan poetry by deborah ann

So many needing,
to be forgiven
so many who . . .
are evil driven.

So many without,
God’s love and grace
so many who  . . .
after the devil chase.

So many dying,
an eternal death
so many who . . .
need Jesus’ saving breath.

So many living,
without hope
so many who . . .
can’t see mercy’s scope.

So many needing,
to be saved
so many who . . .
to sin are enslaved!

My Eyes Are Fixed on Jesus ~

Fixed on Jesus ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I’ve fixed my eyes on Jesus,
He’s never out of my sight
and I want to share with you
His healing, restoring light.

With Him mountains move,
red seas are parted too . . .
with His strength and power
there isn’t, anything you can’t do.

My hope is in His returning,
my faith is in His precious blood
and He wants to pour His grace
on you like a mighty flood.

My peace comes from Jesus,
I can face my darkest days
and He wants to lead you too
on the narrowest of ways.

I’ve fixed my eyes on Jesus,
nothing can take them off Him
and I want to share with you
why my joy is full to the brim!

~~~~~~~~
Hebrews 12:2
“Looking unto Jesus
the author and finisher
of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before
him endured the cross,
despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand
of the throne of God.
Heart Disease ~
Heart Disease ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Heart disease,
is on the rise . . .
so many now
the truth despise.
Their love for God,
has lost its beat
they won’t admit
their own defeat.
Heart disease,
has run amok
so many now
stuck in sins rut.
So many needing,
a defibrillator
so they can return
to their Creator.
Heart disease,
is on the rise . . .
but those faithful
are remaining wise!
Onto The Cross ~
Onto Jesus ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Onto the cross Jesus took,
all of my sorrow and pain
replaced them with His grace
so His peace I could gain.
No longer do I need,
to struggle my way through
for on the cross, in Jesus
everything became new.
No more tears do I cry,
for my past sinful ways
now that under the cross
my grateful soul lays.
Onto the cross Jesus took,
all of my grief and pain
and the only way to repay Him
is to let Him, in my life reign!
