God Helps Me To Know ~

God helps me to know,
His mercy He’ll show
when I go to His throne
His grace will be shown.

He helps me to grow,
when into His Word I go
He enlightens my vision
by giving me His wisdom.

God helps me to be calm,
He is my soothing balm
when I need comforting
He eases my suffering.

He makes me strong,
when things go wrong
He gives me boldness
by His closeness.

God helps me to know,
the way I should go
when to Him I pray
He shows me the way!

Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly
unto the throne of grace, that
we may obtain mercy, and find
grace to help in time of need.

Thank You Heavenly Father ~

Thank you Father,
for being there
for making me
to You aware.

Thank you Father,
for being kind
for allowing me
Your love to find.

Thank you Father,
for hearing my plea
for showing mercy
to a sinner like me.

Thank you Father,
for sending Your Son
for His grace to finish
what You begun.

Thank you Father,
for all You do . . .
thank You my heart
You choose to pursue!

A Life-Giving Stream ~

Lord help me to be,
a life-giving stream
where love flows endless
without border or seam.

Let me be like a river,
flowing with peace
so worldly darkness
Your light can breach.

Lord help be to be,
like a babbling brook
flowing with the truth
found in Your Good book.

Let me be like a creek,
even if it be a small trickle
for I never know how . . .
You might use that ripple.

Lord, help me to be like a river,
a stream, brook or creek
keep Your Spirit flowing in me
whether strong or weak!

~~~~~~
John 7:37-38
In the last day,
that great day of the feast,
Jesus stood and cried,
saying, If any man thirst,
let him come unto me, and drink.
He that believeth on me,
as the scripture hath said,
out of his belly shall flow
rivers of living water.
Forever Grateful ~
I am thankful,
I am blessed
for I have found
in Jesus rest.
I am content,
I am delighted
for in my life . . .
Jesus I invited.
I am grateful,
I am satisfied
for in Jesus
I am purified.
I am loved,
I am at peace
for Jesus brings
my soul release.
I am blessed,
I am thankful
to Jesus, I am
forever grateful!
Jesus Is My Yes ~
Jesus is my yes,
He is my Amen . . .
for all of God’s promises
flow right out of Him.
Jesus is my truth,
He is my absolute
for God’s tender mercy
in me He imputes.
Jesus is my grace,
He is my true salvation
for God suffered Him
to save me from damnation.
Jesus is my hope,
He is my Lord and Life
for God sent Him
to take Himself my strife.
Jesus is my yes,
He is my hallelujah Amen . . .
all my faith and trust
I put into God and Him!
I am So Thankful ~
God, I am so thankful,
there is no other like You
I am so grateful
for all that You do.
You are wise and fair,
loving and kind
You bring sweet peace
to both heart and mind.
Lord, I am so thankful,
there is no one besides You
I am so grateful
You always remain true.
You are a just and loyal,
holy and divine
You provide wisdom
when ears are inclined.
Father, I am so thankful,
that You are You . . .
for there’s no one else
who can do what You do!
The Sting of Death ~
When the sting of death,
first burned into my soul
I never thought again
I could be made whole.
But God sent to me,
all the grace I needed
as the tide of grief
ebbed and receded.
When the sting of death,
brought its gloomy sorrow
I didn’t think I could ever
face another tomorrow.
But God sent to me,
new rays of hope
filled with His strength
helping me to cope.
When the sting of death,
at first left me reeling
God in His time sent me . . .
inner peace and healing!
Giving Thanks In Everything ~
Giving thanks in everything,
is God’s will for you
for He is praiseworthy
to receive His glory due.
For when you are grateful,
peace will flood your heart
then into it faith and trust
will come and do its part.
Giving thanks for all things,
is God’s true desire
no matter your situation
let it your praise inspire.
For when you are thankful,
for and in everything
His steadfast love will help
you get over anything.
Giving thanks no matter,
where you are in this life
will allow Jesus to help you
overcome all of your strife!
A Clean, New Heart ~
A clean heart Lord,
create in us
one free of sin
evil and lust.
Free of worldliness,
free of selfish greed
free to see You are
everything we need.
A renewed Spirit Lord,
put into us
one that will always
in You put its trust.
Alert and resistant,
to the lies satan tells
one where Your own Spirit
abides and dwells.
A clean heart create,
a right spirit bestow
Lord in our lives
so Your will we may know!
O God; and renew a right
spirit within me.”
Walking Upright ~
Walking upright,
takes a lot of skill
but it’s easy . . .
if you know God’s will.
For in your heart,
God will speak
and the truth
you’ll want to seek.
Walking upright,
is not too hard
if you let God be
your shield and guard.
For He will show you,
His righteous way
and all things good
He’ll bring to your day.
Walking upright,
can surely be done . .
if you follow the steps
of God’s beloved Son!
~~~~~

Psalm 15:1-2

“Lord, who shall abide
in thy tabernacle? who shall
dwell in thy holy hill?

He that walketh uprightly,
and worketh righteousness,
and speaketh the truth
in his heart.”

and shield: the Lord will
give grace and glory:
no good thing will he
withhold from them that
walk uprightly.”

Sowing and Reaping ~

If we are to plant,
we must also water
and trust the growing
to our heavenly Father.

If we want to reap,
we need to sow
and from doing good
weary we can’t grow.

If we want to shout,
with joy and glee
then seeds of faith
we need to set free.

If we want to gather,
fruit for His vine
we need to be patient
loving and kind.

If we want to reap,
there will be pruning
for God the harvest  . . .
is always fine tuning!

~~~~~~
Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary
in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap,
if we faint not.
Psalm 126:6
He that goeth forth and weepeth,
bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless
come again with rejoicing,
bringing his sheaves with him.”
James 5:7
Be patient therefore,
brethren, unto the coming
of the Lord. Behold, the
husbandman waiteth for
the precious fruit of the earth,
and hath long patience for it,
until he receive the early
and latter rain.
Opt For Joy ~
Opt for joy,
it will not disappoint
if you do
it’ll be a turning point.
For joy always brings,
a sense of relief
as you give to Jesus
the cause of your grief.
Prefer joyfulness,
over being downtrodden
let the love of Jesus
make your smile broaden.
For happiness is a choice,
each day we can make
and rejoicing in the Lord
will cause a grin to break.
Choose joy,
you’ll be happier if you do
then just watch what Jesus  . . .
is willing to do for you!
and again I say, Rejoice.”
We Better Know ~
If we’re to follow the Way,
the Truth we better know
and then the life of Jesus
in our own will begin to show.
If we’re to be His light,
the darkness we better hate
so we can guide others
straight to the narrow gate.
If we’re to have trust,
the Word of God we better read
so more of His lost sheep
back to their Shepherd we can lead.
If we’re to have hope and joy,
the world we better not be in
so more of the unsaved
can be turned from their sin.
If we’re to follow the Truth,
we better know the Way
for we never know . . .
whose life we may sway!
~~~~~~~~~

Romans 12:2

but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may prove what
is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.”

A New Creation Awaits ~

When you ask Jesus
into your heart
deliverance from sin
will spontaneously start.

When for your trespasses,
you ask Jesus to atone
living a sinful life
you’ll no longer condone.

When you ask Jesus,
to pardon your sin
regeneration
will promptly begin.

When for your sins,
you ask Jesus to forgive
your former way of life
you will not want to relive.

When you ask Jesus,
into your heart . . .
a new creation awaits
right from the start!

High Upon A Rock ~

When tragedy comes,
catching you off guard
when the aftermath of grief
hits you cold and hard.

Know that God is near,
to the brokenhearted
and the crushed in spirit
He will keep safe-guarded.

When from out of nowhere,
disaster strikes you down
and it affects are felt
by every one around.

Know that God is a shelter,
a safe harbor and refuge
someone you can turn to
whenever under a deluge.

When tragedy and disaster,
come to your door and knock
know God will lift you up
and set you high upon the Rock!

~~~~~~~~
“The Lord is near
to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed
in spirit.”
Day’s End ~
Heavenly Father,
my day is drawing to an end
and I just want to thank You
for all the blessings You send.
I thank You for Your presence,
whether felt or not
for showing me compassion
when feeling over fraught.
Heavenly Father,
thank You for protecting me
with heaven-sent angels
those that I can and can’t see.
Thank you for Your wisdom,
giving me the heart to hear
but mostly I thank you . . .
for always being ever near.
Heavenly Father,
as tonight I close my eyes
I pray for Your mercy new
tomorrow when I rise!
The World’s Fate ~
When I think about,
the world around me
and all the chaos
I daily see.
I can not help,
but to wonder
how it will last
too much longer.
When I think about,
this world I’m in
and all I see
is evil and sin.
I can not help,
but to ponder
oh dear Lord
how much longer?
When I think about,
the world’s fate
for Jesus’ return
I can not wait!
Cracked ~
God gave me this body,
and at first it was intact
but as it grew older
I saw it began to crack.
Once the cracks started,
they could not be stopped
for the more I sinned . . .
out more of them popped.
The cracks started to chip,
piece by piece they fell
and the more I tried to hide them
the more in sin I would dwell.
As they started to fall off,
I began to see the real me
and the more that I sinned
the more damage I could see.
And so I called upon God,
and His awesome power
to fill me with His mercy
so my sins He could scour.
God gave me this body,
to be used as His vessel
and now with His strength
with sin I no longer wrestle.
in jars of clay, to show that
the surpassing power
belongs to God and not to us”
The Heart of My Soul ~
Lord help me to keep,
on my heart a watchful eye
so that it may not for You
shrivel up and dry.
Let me be meticulous,
as to what I let into it
so it is always opened
to the wisdom of Your spirit.
Lord, help me to guard,
the heart of my soul
so that it’ll always be
in Your righteous control.
Let me be scrupulous,
as to what I hold dear
so that it may be filled
with holy awe and fear.
Lord, help me to keep,
my heart to Your keeping
so that my life will be . . .
to You always pleasing!
We All Need A Savior ~
We all need the blood,
to wash away our sin
we all need cleansing
from the grime within.
We all need forgiveness,
for the evil we’ve done
we all need the grace
of God’s begotten Son.
We all need to confess,
Jesus is our Savior
we all need to believe
He’s the gift of God’s favor.
We all need a heart,
trusting and believing
we all need a peace
eternal and unending.
We all need salvation,
if God were going to see
we all need Jesus . . .
to set our souls free!
~~~~~~~~~~

with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him

Guilty Sinners ~

Guilty sinners,
deserving disgrace
instead are saved
by Jesus’ grace.

Worthy of hell,
its perishing heat
instead their Savior
in heaven will meet.

Guilty sinners,
not meriting favor
instead eternity
they will savor.

Worthy of humiliation,
for their sin
instead the crown of life
they will win.

Guilty sinners,
saved by Jesus’ grace
for He was cursed
in their place!

“For all have sinned,
and come short of
the glory of God;”

A Life Willing ~

Lord give me a life,
full of only You
with a faith
through Your view.

Let the Holy Spirit,
do all the leading
so I may be to You
faithfully pleasing.

Lord give me a heart,
that is always willing
to be compassionate
merciful and giving.

Let me not live a life,
stubbornly self-centered
but one that is to You
steadfastly surrendered.

Lord, give me a life,
eager to do Your will
a heart empty of me
so Your love it can fill!

~~~~~~~~
Matthew 25:21
thou good and faithful servant:
thou hast been faithful over a
Never Forgotten ~
When your friends,
have moved on . . .
and your family
is all but gone.
Know you have,
a Friend around
one who’ll never
let you down.
When You find,
yourself all alone
sitting in . . .
your lonesome home.
Know there is someone,
who’ll never leave
and onto Him
you can always cleave.
When you feel as if,
you’ve been deserted
and with thought’s lonely
you’re being bombarded.
Know that you are,
never truly forgotten
for, Jesus forsakes not
those downtrodden!
