and by satan blinded
needs to the Life . . .
be constantly reminded.

For Jesus is the answer,
to a world that is lost
for its redemption . . .

A world falling apart,
and by satan so deceived
needs to the Truth . . .
once and for all to believe.

For God sent Jesus,
His only begotten Son
to save the whole world
from the evil wicked one.

The helmet of salvation,
we need to wear everyday
or else the way we think
satan will begin to sway.

For, we need our minds,
protected with God’s Word
so that satan doesn’t mess
with the truth we’ve heard.

The helmet of salvation,
will safeguard all of us
from satan destroying
in God our faith and trust.

For our hope in believing,
in the things not seen
from our thoughts
satan will start to glean.

The helmet of salvation,
is a daily must wear . . .
so that we will not fall
into one of satan’s snares!

to step out each day

Hard To Focus ~

At times it’s hard to focus,
on what God has to say . . .
with all the distractions
disrupting me every day.

I open up my Bible,
but, the pages seem to dull
and though I see the words
they don’t sink into my skull.

At times it’s hard to focus,
on things that really matter
with all the interruptions
my thoughts begin to scatter.

My mind begins to wander,
making it hard to see
the Way, Truth and the Life
that is right in front of me.

At times it’s hard to focus,
so today I will pray . . .
Lord, keep my heart fixed
and my mind on You stayed!

I’m not meant for this world,
