God’s Splendor ~

God is full of splendor,
His brilliance glows
His majesty . . .
over His creation flows.

Everywhere you look,
all your eyes can see
His beauty descends
onto you and me.

God is full of grandeur,
His goodness shimmers
His awesomeness . . .
over the earth glimmers.

Everywhere you go,
His radiance you’ll witness
for the whole earth reflects
the power of His greatness.

God is magnificent,
His work is splendorous
everything about Him
is divinely glorious!

I Live With Fear ~

I live with fear,
out of respect
for the word of God
I do not reject.

I hold the truth,
close to my breast
so in righteousness
my soul can rest.

I live boldly,
wisdom I seek
for the more I know
the less I am weak.

I look to God,
in times trying
knowing my strength
He’ll be supplying.

I live with fear,
it makes me brave
for the word of God . . .
shows me how to behave!

I am Amazed ~

I fear God for one reason,
and it’s not that I’m afraid
I fear His mighty power . . .
for, it leaves me amazed.

I stare in astonishment,
at the works of His hand
how all came together
just by His command.

I worship Him and marvel,
as I gaze out into space
in awe I stand in wonder
of His mercy and His grace.

I tremble and I shake,
my understanding fails me
for, it’s hard to comprehend
all I can and cannot see.

I fear God for one reason,
but, it’s not that I am fearful
I fear Him because I know . . .
He is mightily powerful!

In The Potter’s Hands ~

The Potter’s hands are strong,
as He molds us in His love
He crafts each single vessel
with His mercy from above.

No two vessels look-alike,
each is unique in His sight
He sculpts us individually
for His joy and His delight.

The Potter takes our souls,
spins them on His wheel
so He can shape into us
what is His perfect will.

Each one of us is different,
as we are wonderfully made
not one single quality in us
would He exchange or trade.

Each vessel is a work of art,
made in the labor of His grace
He lovingly knows each of us
by the silhouette of our face!

What A Wonderful God ~

I see God in the sky,
in the light of the moon
I see Him in the stars
through the universe strewn
and I think to my self . . .
what a wonderful God!

I see God in the hills,
in the valley below
I see Him in the streams
throughout the earth flow
and I think to my self. . . .
what a skillful God!

The Glorious Works of God ~

The glorious works of God,
are everywhere . . .
none which man created
to them can compare.

It’s sparkles in the skies,
it glows in the moon
it twinkles through stars
it shines at high noon.

It’s a pillar of light,
it’s a Word from above
it’s water from a rock
it’s forgiveness and love.

It’s heard in the waters,
it babbles in a spring
it roars to the shore
it soars on eagle wings.

It’s a wooden cross,
it’s mercy and favor
it’s filled with grace
it’s the gift of a Savior.

The glorious works of God,
are everywhere . . .
there are none greater
to be found elsewhere!

When I Consider All God Made ~

Father, when I consider,
all Your fingers have made
how the sun slowly rises
as the moon begins to fade.

I’m in awe,
of the magnificence I see
in this amazing universe
You have set before me.

Father, when I consider,
the trillion stars in the sky
hanging on the dark backdrop
You placed so ever high.

I’m in awe,
of the works of Your hand
up above in the heavens
from down here where I stand.

Father, when I consider,
the stars, moon and the sun
I know beyond them . . .

A Protecting Shield,

God Holds The Stars ~

God holds the stars,
right in their place
sets the whole earth
into orbit’s race.

He commands the sun,
to up and shine
then tells it when
it needs to recline.

He moves the clouds,
seasons He forms
He controls the calm
orders up the storms.

He tells the moon,
when it’s time to rise
then orders it to dip
right into the skies.

God holds the universe,
right in His hands . . .
for His own pleasure
according to His plans!

God Is Not Restricted ~

Nothing is impossible,
when God we allow
to do what He can
in the way He knows how.

For He is not restricted,
in any way or form
not one thing to Him
is out of the norm.

Nothing is inconceivable,
when in God we trust
nothing is unachievable
His hands are not cuffed.

There is not a situation,
where He can’t intervene
for with God there’s nothing
to Him that’s unforeseen.

With God nothing’s impossible,
for He is not restricted . . .
its only our lack of faith
keeping Him constricted!

Creator Of All Things ~

God made and keeps,
all things in order
everything moves
within His border.

The sun and moon,
are set high in the sky
their course plan
is controlled by His eye.

The earth and planets,
revolve by His design
His purpose for them
are perfectly in line.

The stars and cosmos,
come out at His will
He says when to shoot
or to stay in the sky still.

God is the creator,
of all things we see . . .
and by faith I believe
His image is in me!

Night Sky ~

When I look out,
on the sky at night
I stand gaping . . .
at the starry sight.

I recall the days,
when I was young
and the many wishes
on them I made upon.

But, now when I see,
their starry twinkling
they have me on . . .
eternal life thinking.

Instead of wishing,
for things worldly
now my prayer is to see
gates white and pearly.

When I look out,
on the starry night
now I see my name
twinkling in their light!

Thunderstruck ~

In the vastness of the world,
Lord, I am frankly amazed
how Your eyes on me
are always intently gazed.

You see me when I rise,
you watch me through the day
in Your view is all I do
as I go about my way.

In the grandness of the universe,
Lord, I am truly thunderstruck
how Your eyes on me
can never get unstuck.

You see me when I’m good,
You witness when I’m bad
You observe all the things
making me glad or sad.

Lord, in the overall picture,
it is hard for me to believe . . .
that Your eyes are fixed upon
something so minuscule as me!

God is not a God,

nor is He a God
of happenstance.

For, He is a God,

everything He does
is mighty and powerful.

nor is He a God
of indifference.

For, He is a God,
of purpose, of design
everything He does
is righteous and divine.

He leaves nothing . . .
to luck, fate or chance!

The Thunderous Voice of God ~

If you could hear God’s voice,
you’d hear the power and the might
behind each word and syllable
making the universe take on flight.

You would hear Him tell the sun,
it was time to shine and rise
you could listen as He ordered it
to dip into the darkening skies.

You would hear Him tell the seasons,
what time to start and when to cease
you could listen as they obeyed Him
without rebellion but in peace.

You would hear Him tell the rain,
when it was time to turn to snow
you could listen to their respect for Him
as each little flake His voice knows.

If you could hear God’s voice,
you would know He was in control
not just of the universe . . .
but, of every single heart and soul!

God Knows All About Us ~

God knows,
each one of us
He knows if we doubt
or in Him trust.

He knows our names,
each and every one
He knows those who put
their faith in His Son.

all of our needs

He knows our troubles,

follow where He shows.
