As my faith is restored,

A Plate of Grace ~

Come this Thanksgiving . . .
there’ll be no turkey with dressing
I’m only going to serve a plate
of gratitude for God’s blessings.

As a substitute for candied yams,
we’ll feast on His loving kindness
taste the sweetness of His favor
as we reflect on His righteousness.

There’ll be no rolls and butter,
instead, we’ll eat of the Bread of Life
with gratitude we’ll give our thanks
to Jesus for bearing our strife.

In place of mashed potatoes,
there’ll be praise piled just as high
we’ll sing our adoration
in place of having pumpkin pie.

The only beverage we will drink,
will be from the one True Vine
with humility on our lips

Blessing Counting ~

Don’t number your burdens,
instead count your blessings
for burden counting, adding
can be gloomy and depressing.

So let your mind run free,
and add up all the ways
God has provided you . . .
with your needs each day.

Don’t list your complaints,
instead tally up God’s benefits
for complaining, tallying
has disheartening elements.

So let your heart begin,
to list the hopeful things
everyday into your life
Jesus sends and brings.

Don’t list all of your have-nots,
rather count the good things God has given
when your done the total sum . . .
will add up to the reasons you’re forgiven!

Too Numerous To Count ~

When I look at the stars,
as I watch their twinkling
I can see God’s blessings
in them glistening.

I see the star of my faith,
shinning so ever bright
for, God has blessed me
with His saving Light.

I see the star of my trust,
hanging in the sky above
for, God has blessed me
with His mercy and love.

Every Spiritual Blessing ~

Each day we are blessed,
with God’s merciful love
blessed to know one day
we’ll be with Him above.

We are blessed to be,
sealed with the Holy Spirit
to be clean and blameless
so eternal life we’ll inherit.

We are blessed to know,
the mystery of His will
to feed upon His Word
to get our daily fill.

We are blessed to understand,
the hope of our calling
so into temptation His power
will keep us from falling

We are blessed with redemption,
when Jesus’ blood we embrace
for the forgiveness of our sins
through the richness of His grace.

Springtime Is In The Air ~

Springtime is in the air,
I can feel its warming trend
though it’s not really here
I know it’s around the bend.

Each day I eagerly await,
for the blessings of Spring
knowing in my weary soul
God will do a new thing.

Springtime is in the air,
I can see its early bloom
melting away the aches
of winter’s chilly gloom.

For Springtime brings,
re-birth and revival
a heart rendering calm
upon its sunny arrival.

When You’re Delighted ~

When you’re delighted,

that’s the time you’ll have

The Season’s of Life ~

The season’s of life,
blow in like the wind
some are slow-moving
others like a whirlwind.

But, I have found,
no matter the season
whatever blows my way
God has for it, a reason.

The season’s of life,
have their highs and lows
the cause behind them
only God really knows.

But, I have found,
seasons are a blessing
urging me into the goal
to just keep pressing.

The season’s of life,
blow in and out
some like a whisper
others with a shout.

But, I have found,
each season sent to me
keeps me trusting God
for what I cannot see!

Blessings of Assurance ~

Each day in my Bible,
I am blessed to read
of every assurance
that I will ever need.

I have a warranty,
to God’s mercy and grace
I have evidence
one day I’ll see His face.

I have a verification,
of life eternally
I have the Holy Spirit
dwelling internally.

I have confidence,
God hears all my prayers
I have affirmation
Jesus takes my cares.

I have a guarantee,
temptation I can flee
I have a crown of life
that is awaiting me.

I have a promise,
death I will not fear
I have an insurance
Jesus is always near.

I have a sureness,
I’ll not hunger or thirst
I have the authority
to always seek God first.

I have a confirmation,
I am God’s child
I have a surety
in Jesus I’m reconciled.

Each time I read my Bible,
there are blessings of assurance
to which I’ll hold tight . . .
until Jesus’ reappearance!

is take, a good look.

woven all through

are waiting for you.

Every Day Thanks ~

Thanksgiving Day is upon us,
soon we’ll gather at the table
with family and close friends
to feast on our favorite staples.

We’ll set aside our complaints,
in exchange for gratitude
for everyone, on this one day . . .
puts on a Thanksgiving attitude.

To God we’ll give our thanks,
for family, food and friends
but once the day is over . . .
sadly, our gratitude ends.

We’ll go back to complaining,
to our own self-sufficient way
any gratefulness that we felt . . .
will begin to wither and decay.

Thanksgiving Day is upon us,
soon we’ll gather at the table
and this year I will be praying. . .
gratitude ~ will be a daily staple!

Small Blessings ~

Small blessings . . .
shower on us everyday
but, often to them
we question or downplay.

At times, we don’t notice,
these tiny drops of grace
they seem so insignificant
for us, to truly embrace.

If we were to slow down,
we couldn’t count them all
for they’re immeasurable
though they seem so small.

When we start to notice,
the drops of His wonder
we will begin to recognize
God’s merciful splendor.

Small blessings . . .
shower on us each day
for, God smiles down on us
as we go about our way!
