Gracious Gratitude ~

Not just on Thanksgiving,
but every day of the year
give God your heartfelt praise
and it’ll bring your heart cheer.
For when we are thankful,
the entire year through
joy will flood our souls
spilling over in all we do.
Every minute of the day,
thank God for His grace
every second you’re alive
praise His holy face.
Give Him your thanksgiving,
with a heart that’s forthright
and in the eyes of the Lord
you’ll be a pleasing delight.
So, everyone let’s show God,
our gracious gratitude . . .
today and all year through
have a thankful attitude!

A Call For Praise ~

A time to worship,
a call for praise
a time a new song
to God to raise.
For all He’s done,
for all He’s doing
a time to rejoice
with joyful singing.
A time for music,
a call for melody
a time to display
jubilant revelry.
For all Jesus did,
for all He will do
a time to relish
all things made new.
A time for song.
a call to sing . . .
upon the chords
of our heart’s stings!
~~~~~~~~
Rejoice in the Lord,
O ye righteous:
for praise is comely
for the upright.
Praise the Lord with harp:
sing unto him with the
psaltery and an instrument
of ten strings.
Sing unto him a new song;
play skilfully with a loud noise.
For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth.
Father, How Can I Show My Gratitude ~
Father, how can I show my gratitude,
my gratefulness for all You’ve done
how can I show my thankfulness
for the eternal gift of Your Son?
What can I do to repay You,
for the kindness You’ve shown me
what can I give back to You
so my appreciation You can see?
How can I render my thanksgiving,
the sense of my true gratification
how can I ever prove to You
the full delight of my satisfaction?
Father, how can I show my gratitude,
my gratefulness for all You do
how can I show my thankfulness
if I am not always praising You?
~~~~~~~~
And whatsoever ye do
in word or deed, do all
in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God
and the Father by him.

Grow Your Gratitude ~
Grow your gratitude,
it will increase your praise
then what comes your way
you will not be phased.
For God wants us to be,
for all things grateful
and then our praise to Him
will become a daily staple.
Grow your thankfulness,
it won’t disappoint you
then whatever God sends
you’ll be able to get through.
For God desires of us,
our earnest of devotions
not just the kind we give
when going through the motions.
Grow your thanksgiving,
gratefulness you will raise
so no matter what life brings
you’ll still offer God your praise!

Giving Thanks In Everything ~
Giving thanks in everything,
is God’s will for you
for He is praiseworthy
to receive His glory due.
For when you are grateful,
peace will flood your heart
then into it faith and trust
will come and do its part.
Giving thanks for all things,
is God’s true desire
no matter your situation
let it your praise inspire.
For when you are thankful,
for and in everything
His steadfast love will help
you get over anything.
Giving thanks to God,
wherever you are in this life
will allow Jesus to help you
overcome all of your strife!

Thanksgiving Dinner ~
Every year at this same time,
we sit at our dining tables . . .
feasting upon what has become
Thanksgiving Day staples.
We gobble down the turkey,
mashed potatoes and candy yams
then we sit back and disclaim . . .
I can’t believe how full I am.
But, this year I am not serving,
the traditional Thanksgiving fare
instead a healthy fruit salad . . .
is all I’m planning to share.
I’m going take some gentleness,
stuff it full of God’s love
along side of it will be the peace
that comes only from above.
I’ll pile high on each plate,
some joy and some goodness
right next to them I will place
some faith and some meekness.
I’ll top it off with patience,
and for the piece of resistance
I’ll pray for those whom I serve. . .
to have a lot of temperance!
~~~~~~~~~
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.
~ Have a Joyous Thanksgiving ~
Heartfelt Gratitude
Lord, may I always have,
an appreciative attitude
one filled with adoration
thanksgiving and gratitude.
May I always be grateful,
whether sick or healthy
may I always be thankful
be I penniless or wealthy.
Lord, may I be thankful,
to You, for all things
happy with the provision
Your daily grace brings.
May I always be glad,
to receive Your benefits
may my praise to You
to the world be evident.
Lord, may I always have,
a heartfelt gratitude . . .
coursing through my life
gushing out in my attitude!
In the Middle of the Night ~
In the middle of the night,
when all is calm and quiet
when in my house . . .
there’s a peaceful climate.
I take advantage,
of the early morning hour
and I thank God . . .
for His strength and power.
I thank Him for the new day,
He has in store for me . . .
I thank Him for helping me
believe in things, I can’t see.
I thank Him for His mercy,
He showers on me anew
I thank Him for His grace
that restores and renews.
I thank Him for His love,
above all other things . . .
I thank Him for the peace
just knowing Him brings.
In the middle of the night,
if awaken from my sleep . . .
I thank my heavenly Father
for every blessing that I reap!
What Thanksgiving Brings ~
Thanksgiving brings hope,
where there is none
thanksgiving brings gladness
as praise rolls of the tongue.
Thanksgiving brings calm,
where there is chaos
thanksgiving brings joyfulness
with peace, as its payoff.
Thanksgiving brings trust,
where there is doubt
thanksgiving brings jubilation
to those who are devout.
Thanksgiving brings power,
where there is weakness
thanksgiving brings merriment
healing and completeness.
Thanksgiving brings delight,
to our Father and His Son
thanksgiving brings rejoicing
for all they have done!
unto thee do we give thanks:
for that thy name is near
thy wondrous works declare.”
Finding Peace ~
Peace without prayer,
is just impossible
for prayer makes
all things possible.
Peace without trust,
cannot be there
for trust gives Jesus
our every care.
Peace without hope,
is not able to save
for without hope
there’s only the grave.
Peace without faith,
can’t bring calmness
for faith by itself
can’t bring stillness.
Peace without praise,
won’t make us peaceful
for without praise . . .
we can’t be grateful!
