Hear Me, Hold Me, Hide Me ~

Hear me Oh Lord,
open to me Your ear
take away from me
the sum of my fear.

Keep me in the night,
while shadows move
so that my trust
to You I may prove.

Hold me up Lord,
don’t let me slip
keep Your Words
fixed on my lips.

Let my prayers flow,
straight to Your throne
keep my ears to You
open and prone.

Hide me under Your wings,
protect and keep me . . .
so an apple in Your eyes
to You I always be!

~~~~~~~~~~
Psalm 17:1
Hear the right, O Lord,
attend unto my cry,
give ear unto my prayer,
that goeth not out of feigned lips.
Psalm 17:5
Hold up my goings in thy paths,
that my footsteps slip not.
Psalm 17:8
Keep me as the
apple of the eye,
hide me under
the shadow of thy wings,
God Is Ever Mindful ~
God is ever mindful,
for each one of us He cares
He bows His ears to hear
our petitions and our prayers.
He blesses us with answers,
grants our heart’s desires
showing our delight to Him
He something He admires.
God is ever mindful,
He watches after each of us
He grants to us the faith
to believe in Him and trust.
He gives us the directions,
to live a peaceful life
He uses His own Word
to guide us away from strife.
God is ever mindful,
He blessed us with His Son
to prove His love is . . .
for each and everyone!
~~~~~~~~~~

 Psalm 115:12

The Lord hath been mindful of us:
he will bless us;

that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him

The Spirit of Power ~

God has not given us,
a spirit of fear . . .
but, one of His power
to keep us to Him near.

No worry shall cause,
us to tremble or shake
not even the enemy
can author us to faint.

God has not given us,
a spirit of neglect . . .
but, one of His love
with regard and respect.

We shall speak the truth,
for in God we do trust
we care about others
because, He first loved us.

God has not given us,
a spirit of trepidation . . .
but, of a sound mind
not filled with irritation.

We are full of His peace,
there’s a calm deep inside
our tranquilly declares . . .
His Spirit is our guide.

God has given us a spirit,
not full of dread or fear . . .
but of power, love and peace
hope, gladness and good cheer!

the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love,

I Want To Be That Eagle ~

I want to be that eagle,
that knows when to soar
who patiently waits . . .
for guidance from the Lord.

Then I would discover,
how to spread my wings
then I’d be able to conquer
all the storms life brings.

I want to have the wisdom,
to be able to discern . . .
how to fly over the clouds
not faint in my concern.

Then I’d have His strength,
to mount up and rise
trusting in His foresight
not what’s before me eyes.

I want to be that eagle,
who never gets weary
I want it to be the Lord . . .
who I can trust clearly!

~~~~~~~~~
Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew
their strength; they shall mount up with wings
as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Drawing A Line ~
There is a line,
we mustn’t cross
nor is it one over
which we can gloss.
For It separates,
the dark from the light
and we must choose
which battle to fight.
There is a line,
we mustn’t straddle
nor is it on one
we should travel.
For it divides,
where our treasures lay
be it up in heaven
or on the wide way.
There is a line,
we all need to make . . .
and we need to decided
what road to take!
~~~~~~~~~~

Matthew 7:13-14

Enter ye in at the strait gate:
for wide is the gate,
and broad is the way,
that leadeth to destruction,
and many there be
which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate,
and narrow is the way,
which leadeth unto life,
and few there be that find it.

Relying On God ~

Make relying on God,
a part of your day . . .
before you set out
for His strength pray.

For you’re going to need,
His mighty power
just knowing that satan
is out to devour.

Make God your refuge,
throughout your day
ask Him to guide you
as you make your way.

For you’re going to want,
on Him to depend
when for your beliefs
you have to defend.

Make relying on God,
a daily choice . . .
then count on Him
to give you a voice!

Psalm 59:17

Unto thee, O my strength,
will I sing: for God is my
defence, and the God of my mercy.

If God ~

If for us God has plans,
if He knows our future
why don’t we believe
and trust Him sooner?

If He has for us good things,
if He provides our needs
why don’t we follow Him
regardless of where He leads?

If God gives us joy,
if He fills us with peace
why doesn’t our faith in Him
continue to increase?

If He provides our strength
if He equips us with power
why then does our hope
turn so often sour?

If we trust and believe,
God plans and not our own
to His guidance we’d be . . .
more spiritually prone!

~~~~~~~~
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts
that I think toward you,
saith the Lord, thoughts
of peace, and not of evil,
to give you an expected end.
Now the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace in believing,
that ye may abound in hope,
through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Afternoon Ponderings ~02.23.20~
Psalm 1: 1-3
Playing Hide-and-Seek ~
Some people with God,
play hide-and-seek . . .
they pray to Him only
when their feeling weak.
But, oh when their strong,
without Him they reckon
they can do anything
without first seeking Him.
Some people with God,
like to play games
they only seek Him
for material gains.
But, oh when their down,
and out of their luck
under their arms
their Bibles they tuck.
Some people with God,
think their sins they can hide
but, oh how God sees . . .
right through their pride!
~~~~~~~~~~

Genesis 3:8-10

And they heard the voice
of the Lord God walking
in the garden in the cool
of the day: and Adam and his
wife hid themselves from
the presence of the Lord God
amongst the trees of the garden.

And the Lord God called
unto Adam, and said unto him,
Where art thou?

And he said, I heard thy voice
in the garden, and I was afraid,
because I was naked; and I hid myself.

When In A Tailspin~

When life has you,
scrambling around
and you feel as if . . .
you will breakdown.

Know that God,
will provide for you
with the strength
to power through.

When life pulls you,
into a tailspin
and it feels as if . . .
you’ve no grit within.

Know that Jesus,
is there with you
to give you the grace
for all you got to do.

When life throws you,
into a nose dive . . .
put your faith in Jesus
into overdrive!

We All Get Stuck ~

We all start to sink,
from time to time
we all get stuck
in the murky grime.

But we can rise,
for we know
the way out
God will show.

We all waver,
ever now and then
we all need saving
again and again.

But we know,
Jesus will recuse us
therefore we put
in Him our trust.

We all sink into,
some kind of despair
but, our faith . . .
it will not impair!

God’s Resolutions ~

This year I’m not making,
any new resolutions . . .
instead I’ll look to God
for all of my solutions

For I know I can trust,
His recommendations
with the understanding
there’s no negotiations.

This year I’m not concerned,
with what with it I’ll do
instead I’m going to see
what God would have me to.

For I know God’s thoughts,
are not the same as mine . . .
so this year I’ll make sure
in me His will shine.

This year I’m looking to God,
for His resolutions . . .
only because I know
He has all the best solutions!

The Ocean’s Shore ~

As I stroll along,
the ocean’s shore
I feel blessed
to my very core.

Though I don’t know,
the water’s depth
I’m sure the Lord guides
my every step.

As I listen to,
the waves that roar
I trust God’s Spirit
over storms to soar.

Just as the soft sand,
and sea must meet
I know God’s the strength
beneath my feet.

And unlike a pebble,
in the warm sand
my faith can’t be crushed
by the foot of man.

As I watch the eagles,
land on the dock
I too find safety
in the Lord my Rock!

How Would I’ve Known ~

Lord, I know You’re in control,
over all that I do
but, how would I know this . . .
if I didn’t first seek You?

I know I can trust You,
for my every need
but, how would I know this
if Your Word I didn’t read?

I believe You always will,
lead and guide my way
but, how would I know this
if I didn’t stop and pray?

I know for my faith,
with the devil I will fight
but, how would I know this
if I didn’t recognize Your light?

Lord, I know You’re in control,
over all that I do
but, how would I know this . . .
if I never heard about You!

I’ll Never Forsake You ~

I’ll never leave or forsake you,
for you I will always care
I understand your feelings
how much you have to bear.

I’ll never leave or desert you,
even when you think I’m far away
I know each step you have taken
I have been with you all the way.

I’ll never leave or depart from you,
I am always right here near by
I know what you’ve been through
in my bottle are the tears you cry.

I’ll never leave or quit on you,
even though you feel I’m not there
I’m always watching out for you
you have always been in My care.

I’ll never leave or forsake you,
your every thought I know and see
I’m always here to listen to you . . .
now can you say the same ~ for Me?

Rejoice, Rejoice In the Lord ~

Rejoice, rejoice in the Lord,
be glad and shout out with joy
for He will uplift you . . .
and your doubts He’ll destroy.

For those who trust in the Lord,
haven’t anything to fear
because they know to them
He is always close and near.

Rejoice all who love the Lord,
with delight give Him your praise
His power and strength is yours
when the shield of faith you raise.

Stand up against the wicked one,
don’t believe in his lies
for God blesses all who trust
with a heart that is wise.

Rejoice, rejoice in the Lord,
and again I say rejoice . . .
lift up your jubilant praise
let God hear your joyous voice!

An Appointment with God ~

Every disappointment,
is with God an appointment
so He can bless you with . . .
hope and encouragement.

Every heartbreak,
is a chance to find His love
each sorrow besetting you
is a date with God above.

Every hardship,
is a reason to be still
each trial coming your way
is a means to know His will.

Every apprehension,
is a time to give God your fear
each anxious feeling you have
is a chance to draw Him near.

Every day is an appointment,
with God you need to make
each day is an engagement
with God you need to take!

Through Life’s Trials ~

Through life’s many trials,
there can be no denials
for those who in God trust
well knowing He is just.

Victory we can claim,
when we call upon His name
though tested are we still
we yet seek to know His will.

Through life’s tribulations,
come various temptations
for those with a Savior
redeemed by grace and favor.

Victorious we can be,
for God helps us to see
the evil in the darkness
so to flee its wickedness.

Through life’s many upsets,
there can be no regrets . . .
for those who Jesus believe
satan cannot deceive!

The Very Best Of Me ~

Oh, God I want to give You,
the very best of me
so go ahead and search
and tell me what You see.

If there be anything,
You want to alter
my whole life to You
I willingly offer.

Oh, God I want You to be,
in my life clearly greater
so go ahead and try me
till I simulate my Savior.

If in my heart You find,
anything to You grievous
purge it now from my life
so I’ll be more like Jesus.

Oh, God I want to give You,
the whole heart of me . . .
so search, test and try
till more of You I see!

Sticky Note From God ~10.16.19~

When You Lose Your Patience ~

When with God,
you lose your patience
remember with you
He’s more than gracious.

For, He gives you time,
to learn in Him to trust
until your confidence
is stable and robust.

When with God,
you get tired of waiting
remember with you
He’s love is unfailing.

For, He gives you grace,
without measure
as He works in you
His good pleasure.

When with God,
your patience you start to lose
remember that into you . . .
His will ~ He wants to infuse!

I Can Do Zip ~

I can do nothing,
zip, nada, nil . . .
for I alone don’t have
the will or skill.

But, with God,
I know I can do
what’s impossible
when His strength I pursue.

I can do nothing,
zero, zilch, naught . . .
for I alone don’t have
the heart or thought.

But, with God,
what is unthinkable
with His mighty power
is accomplishable.

I can do nothing,
but, God can do it all . . .
for He has the power
on which for me to call!

Light Walking ~

Light walking,
is more than just talking
it’s knowing . . .
when our sins are showing.

It requires from all of us,
in Jesus blood to trust
to help us not to stray
while on the narrow way.

Light walking,
is more than just a calling
it’s a willingness
to avoid all evilness.

Then a real community,
of non conformity
will come together
as hearts to God surrender.

Light walking,
takes more than just talking . . .
it takes with Jesus a relationship
to form a true light fellowship!

~~~~~~~~
Lessons On The Sea ~
On the sea of doubt,
I have learned to be
fearless as the waves
come crashing over me.
For, I know to be strong,
even when I’m frightened
my grip on Jesus . . .
must remain tightened.
On the sea of worry,
I have learned to be
not so overwhelmed
by what I cannot see.
For, I know to be brave,
even when I’m terrified
my eyes on Jesus . . .
musn’t be cast aside.
The lessons on the sea,
of worry and doubt . . .
have taught how to shut
fear and apprehension out!
With A Heart Wholly ~
Lord, help me to seek,
You whenever I am weak
with a heart wholly
devoted to You solely.
Guide me in Your ways,
the rest of my living days
keep me on the path
leading away from Your wrath.
Lord, help me to be wise,
see things through Your eyes
so I may always know
the worthy way to go.
Help me to be earnest,
in knowing Your purpose
whenever I should doubt
may to You I stay devout.
Lord, help me to seek,
You when things are bleak
give my heart a nudge
so from You I’ll never budge!
Faith Unclouded ~
Faith that is foggy,
makes it hard to find
the road to having
eternal peace of mind.
For, we can’t navigate,
the turns and the bends
unless on Jesus . . .
we learn to depend.
Faith that is misty,
makes it hard to know
how the Holy Spirit
the way out will show.
For we can’t see through,
the haze lying ahead
so that we can be . . .
by Him guided and led.
Faith that is unclouded,
clear and pristine
is faith that believes . . .
beyond things unseen!
Bogus Light ~
For Jesus I try not,
to let my light dim
so that I can be . . .
a True Light like Him.
So I’m very leery,
with all that I hear
for wolves like sheep
are too many I fear.
For Jesus I keep,
my light daily lit
it’s in the Scriptures
where I keep my faith fit.
So I’m very wary,
with all that I read . . .
and to false teaching
I refuse to heed.
For Jesus is the True Light,
all others are bogus . . .
that is why in the Bible
I keep my eyes focus!
Pieces of Graces ~
Each morning as I awake,
Jesus is waiting for me . . .
I sense His very presence
though His person I can’t see.
An endless supply of mercy,
greets me upon the break of day
as pieces of His grace descends
for me to reap along my way.
Each day there is an assurance,
my burden’s He will bear
for I know Jesus is here with me
though I don’t see Him there.
His peace is all surrounding,
it engulfs my heart and soul
all of my worries and fears
He comforts and consoles.
Each morning when I awake,
I feel a sense of conforming
though Jesus I cannot see . . .
His love for me is confirming!
Jesus Our Teacher ~
Jesus is our teacher,
we learn from Him daily
how to live our lives
fearlessly and bravely.
He leads and shows us,
how we should pray
when we need His help
throughout the day.
Jesus is our role model,
of how we need to live
for He shows us how
we can love and forgive.
He gives us the faith,
to believe in His grace
so we can remain strong
in the faithful race.
Jesus is our teacher,
to God our One connector
He is our faith’s . . .
generator and perfecter!
With Arms Stretched Wide ~
When I begin my day,
my arms I stretch wide
and pray to the Lord
today please be my guide.
I know it’s for my best,
for me to seek Him first
so after righteousness
until the night I’ll thirst.
As I go about the day,
my hands I stretch open
and I pray to the Lord
with words unspoken.
His Spirit speaks to me,
for He knows I hunger
to finish the race . . .
as a faithful runner.
When from the day I retire,
I stretch my arms out in bed
and pray that tomorrow . . .
I’ll continue to be Spirit led!
The Wonders Of Jesus ~
Lord, the first thing,
that’s stopping You . . .
is my lack of faith
in what You can do.
I know You can part seas,
walk on them too
and for me miracles
You also want to do.
Lord, the other thing,
that’s blocking You
is my lack of trust
to follow through.
I know You’ll give me,
the strength I need
as long as I let . . .
the Holy Spirit lead.
Lord, there is one thing,
imperative for me to do . . .
and that is to keep believing
in the wonders of You!
Out of Sync ~
Sometimes with God,
I feel out of sync . . .
it’s like there is some
kind of missing link.
It feels as though,
our wires are crossed
and my link to Him
is temporarily lost.
Sometimes with God,
there is a disconnect
its like our lines . . .
no longer intersect.
If feels as though,
we no longer interface
and my gateway to Him
is lost in cyberspace.
Sometimes with God,
I feel we don’t compute
so I go into His Word . . .
and generate a reboot!
~~~~~~~~

Psalm 73:28

But it is good for me to draw
near to God: I have put my
trust in the Lord God, that
I may declare all thy works.

Create in me a clean heart,
O God; and renew a right
spirit within me.

Bonding ~

God speaks in the silence,
of each morning’s dawn
He beckons to me . . .
to be willingly drawn.

He awakens my senses,
to His voice oh, so quiet
so my ears can be open
to His guiding Spirit.

God speaks in the hush,
of a gentle wind blowing
with the promise His will
I can be knowing.

He invites me to lean,
into the stillness
so I can be filled
with all of His fullness.

God speaks ever quietly,
upon morn’s dawning
so throughout the day . . .
we can keep bonding!

Isaiah 50:4

The Lord God hath given me the
tongue of the learned, that I+
should know how to speak a word
in season to him that is weary:

he wakeneth mine ear to hear
as the learned.

Soar~

Eagles wings,
oh, how they soar
above the world’s
menacing roar.

Glide in faith,
on the air of trust
grows not weary
against the thrust.

Eagles wings,
strong and sure
torrid weather
they do endure.

Fainting not,
upon resistance
fly on hope
to go the distance.

Eagles wings,
mount and rise
above the fear . . .
before their eyes!

~~~~~~
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait
upon the Lord shall
renew their strength;
they shall mount up
with wings as eagles;
they shall run,
and not be weary;
and they shall walk,
and not faint.
God Is Mightier ~
God is mightier than the battle,
you are facing right now . . .
He’s greater than your struggle
your defeat He won’t allow.
For His peace will overrule,
all your inner conflict
and His mercy will surpass
the hurt life can inflict.
God is stronger than the burden,
that is weighing you down
He’s more powerful than the storm
that’s swirling all around.
His balm is ever soothing,
it will heal all of your pain
His touch is life transforming
when in His hands you remain.
God is mightier than the battle,
that today you have to face
His sufficiency is copious
for abundant is His grace!
than the noise of many waters,
yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.”
Our Wants, God’s Will ~
Our wants,
God’s will
our fears
He stills
Our desires,
God’s plans
our hopes
His hands.
Our longings,
God’s grace
our dreams
His face.
Our trust,
God’s way
our chance
now today.
Our hearts,
God’s will
our souls
He fills!
Finishing Well ~
Whatever you begin,
finish it well . . .
let the power of God
rise in you and swell.
Be faithful all the way,
as you run the race
hold on to the hope
of the Gospel of grace.
Whatever you start,
finish it well . . .
let the Holy Spirit
your fears quell.
Trust and believe,
Jesus is your strength
to go the distance
no matter the length.
Whatever you do,
finish it joyfully . . .
so you may complete
the course triumphantly!
~~~~~~~~

Acts 20:24

But none of these things move me,
neither count I my life dear
unto myself, so that I might
finish my course with joy,
and the ministry, which I have
received of the Lord Jesus,
to testify the gospel of
the grace of God.

The Process of Grief ~

Grief is a process,
time it does not know
it keeps its own rhythm
tis why it ebbs and flows.

It swells like a wave,
rising in your chest
you never know when
it will rise or crest.

Grief is a phase,
time means not a thing
it keeps its own beat
tis why it’s so cutting.

It stuns like a blow,
hitting in your face
you never know when
for one you should brace.

Grief is a transition,
time has no meaning
but, we who trust God . . .
know joy will be coming!

~~~~~~~~
2 Peter 3:8
“But, beloved, be not ignorant
of this one thing, that one day
is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day.
in the morning.
Smooth Sailing ~
Today there’s smooth sailing,
the water’s calm and still
it is such a gorgeous day . . .
to just sit back and chill.
Got nothing on my mind,
my heart seems to be at rest
my worries are but few
I am feeling at my best.
As I go about my morning,
I forget to say my prayers . . .
but, for now it seems okay
for I haven’t me many cares.
The sun outside shines brightly,
calling me to come and read
but, I leave my Bible on the table . . .
for I haven’t any pressing need.
Suddenly there comes a breeze,
stirring up the peaceful water
and I can almost hear God say . . .
don’t drift too far ~ My daughter!
A Future Homecoming ~
Father, thank You for the mercy,
each day on me You bestow
thank You for the kindness
that to me You daily show.
Thank You for the grace,
and the love of a Savior
thank You for showering me
with Your pity and favor.
Father thank You for the hope,
each day that I receive
thank You for the faith
helping me hourly to believe.
Thank You for the trust,
I’ve put into Your Son and You
for without it I don’t know
what in this world I would do.
Father thank You for the peace,
today’s and what’s forthcoming
thank You for the promise . . .
of a future homecoming!
O give thanks unto the Lord,
for he is good: for his mercy
endureth for ever.
Trusting God’s Timing ~
Faith is like an airport,
with extended delays
holdups and long waits
turbulence that dismays.
Cancellations and deferments,
can throw our faith in a tailspin
but, if we trust God’s plans . . .
we can have His peace within.
Faith is like a freeway,
there’s going to be traffic
sometimes all goes smooth
other times it’s pure havoc.
Postponements and deters,
can set our faith back . . .
but, if we trust God’s pacing . . .
our confidence will not lack.
Faith is an eventful journey,
we can go along just for the ride
or we can trust God’s timing . . .
and learn in Him how to abide!
Acts 1:7
And he said unto them,
It is not for you to know
the times or the seasons,
which the Father hath put
in his own power.
Ensconced In Prayer ~
Lord, I don’t want to sound,
like a record that’s broken
to You I know these words
I have already spoken.
But, I am still expecting,
answers to my prayers
so again I’m giving You
the weight of my cares.
Lord, I don’t want to sound,
like a faucet dripping
nor come across to You
as if I just nagging.
But, I was wondering,
if I needed to repeat
my laying this burden
once more at Your feet.
Lord, I’m still waiting,
on Your response
so I guess in prayer . . .
I’ll stay ensconced!
Wise Ears ~
Wise ears listen,
they hear, they heed
they know God’s Word
each day they need.
Wise ears garner,
they reap, they gather
the wisdom given
by their Father.
Wise ears pick up,
they find, they receive
in Godly wisdom
they trust and believe.
Wise ears surface,
they rise up, they emerge
to understanding
they have an urgent urge.
Wise ears listen,
they’re perked and alert
from the truth . . .
they don’t ever divert!
Untouched ~
My thoughts were a whirl,
spinning round and round
making it hard for me
to find secure ground.
I grabbed and grasped,
anything I could find
hoping I could gain
some peace of mind.
My faith was adrift,
seemingly lost at sea
making it hard for me
my Savior to see.
I gasped and groaned,
as to Him I cried out
Lord, help save me
from this sea of doubt.
He threw me an anchor,
on to which I clutched
and by this life storm . . .
I was left untouched!
God Is Not Restricted ~
Nothing is impossible,
when God we allow
to do what He can
in the way He knows how.
For He is not restricted,
in any way or form
not one thing to Him
is out of the norm.
Nothing is inconceivable,
when in God we trust
nothing is unachievable
His hands are not cuffed.
There is not a situation,
where He can’t intervene
for with God there’s nothing
to Him that’s unforeseen.
With God nothing’s impossible,
for He is not restricted . . .
its only our lack of faith
that keeps Him constricted!
shall be impossible.
Life In The Pasture ~
Life in the pasture,
isn’t always green . . .
for nothing appears
always as it seems.
Though the grass is soft,
underneath my feet
often with a dry patch
my footsteps still meet.
That is why I pray,
for Jesus to lead me
around the rough patches
before them I even see.
For He is my Shepherd,
who I trust avidly
to be my guide be it
victory or tragedy.
Life in the pasture,
isn’t always green
but when Jesus returns . . .
is will be pristine!
I shall not want.
in green pastures: he leadeth
Valley Walking ~
When valley walking,
God has got me going
I always count on Him
the way to be showing.
I know He will give,
His divine direction
so I follow it . . .
without hesitation.
When valley walking,
God has me traveling
I always trust Him
not to keep me dangling.
I have faith in Him,
to guard my steps
for He always guides
me in His concepts.
When valley walking,
before I get in too deep
I let God lead me
just like a trusting sheep.
I know the outcome,
is the one that is best
that’s why in the valley
I’m at peace and rest!
Sticky Note to God ~07.03.19~
Deeper Things ~
Father, this is a new day,
You have given me . . .
a day to search and to find
the deeper things of Thee.
Help me to use it wisely,
for, to You it’s a treasure
granted to me to get to know
what brings Your heart pleasure.
Father, this is a new day,
for me to lift my voice to You
a day to seek and to find
what with it You’d have me to do.
Help me to grow my knowledge,
about Your awesome fear
so that I will remain humble
whenever to You I near.
Father, this is a new day,
to me You’ve graciously given . . .
a day for me to dive deeper
into the things in You still hidden!
~~~~~

Proverbs 2:1-5

My son, if thou wilt receive my words,
and hide my commandments with thee;

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
and apply thine heart to understanding;

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,
and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

If thou seekest her as silver,
and searchest for her as for
hid treasures;

Then shalt thou understand the
fear of the Lord,
and find the knowledge of God.

At My Dining Table ~

I invited Jesus,
to break bread with me
the day I gave Him
to my heart the key.

Ever since that day,
we daily sup and dine
and He shows me how to be
a faithful branch on His vine.

Early in the mornings,
His Gospel we sit and read
and through the scriptures
I follow where He leads.

Together we dig into,
the real meat of His Word
so that apostasy
I’ll know when it’s heard.

I invited Jesus,
to sit at my dining table
and now His Word has become
for me a daily staple!

~~~~~~~
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door,
and knock: if any man hear my voice,
and open the door,
I will come in to him,
and will sup with him, and he with me.
A Sound Heart ~
A sound heart,
doesn’t miss a beat
it lays its cares
at Jesus’ feet.
It puts its trust,
into his hands
it faithfully knows
to follow His plans.
A sound heart,
knows to pray
it’s at peace
night or day.
It allows Jesus,
to live in it
so to be guided
by His Spirit.
A sound heart,
is not shameful . . .
for the Word of God
it is grateful!
~~~~~~

in thy statutes; that
I be not ashamed.

The Voice ~

If the Holy Spirit’s voice,
you truly want to hear
then you’ll need to give Him
everything that you fear.

For, His voice is low and soft,
you can’t hear it in the roar
and with Him it will be hard
to establish a rapport.

If the Holy Spirit’s voice,
you truly want to heed
then you must trust Him
for everything you need.

For, His voice is powerful,
it can do mighty things
but, you must willingly follow
the instructions that He brings

To hear the Holy Spirit’s voice,
you need to listen carefully
for He will speak right to you . . .
if you do so prayerfully!

~~~~~~~~~~~
John 14:26
“But the Comforter, which is the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will
send in my name, he shall teach
you all things, and bring all
things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.”
Spare-Tire Christians ~
Spare-tire Christians,
smooth and tread-bare
only have faith . . .
when they lose air.
Calling on God,
only when deflated
the rest of the time
their ego’s inflated.
Spare-tire Christians,
come out of the trunk
only when they run . . .
out of good luck.
Praying to God,
for an easy, quick fix
then they speed off
back to their old tricks.
Spare tire Christians,
they are all around
they only need God . . .
when they break down!
To Know God’s Will ~
To know and find,
our Father’s will for us
in His Word we must
place all our trust.
For, light and wisdom,
runs through the pages
with documented truths
throughout the ages.
To know and find,
for us our Father’s plans
the Bible we must place
right into our hands.
For, if it lays dormant,
on our dusty shelves
we will never die . . .
to our willful selves.
To know and find,
for us our Father’s will . . .
in our hearts His Word
must occupy and fill!
