Search and try me Lord,
tell me what You see . . .
show me what’s unpleasing
in the heart of me.
Peel back all the layers,
of my ego and pride
till there is no where
from You I can hide.
Search and try me Lord,
my thoughts look into
let me know just where . . .
You don’t see You.
Examine the secret places,
in the recesses of my mind
show me the wicked things
that You still might find.
Search and try me Lord,
test me beyond measure
so I can make sure heaven . . .
still holds all my treasure!
