Nightly Report ~

When at night,
you slip off to bed
before the pillow
wraps your head.

Thank your Father,
for His support
as you give to Him
your nightly report.

Let Him know,
how you’re grateful
for Him being to you
so ever faithful.

When at night,
on your bed you lay
before you call it
quits for the day.

Thank your Father,
for helping you
all those hours
to get through.

Let Him know,
about your struggles
then leave with Him
all your troubles.

When at night,
you turn to bed
before the sheets
blanket your head.

Thank Your Father,
for all He supplies
and soon His peace
will close your eyes!

I will both lay me down in peace,
and sleep: for thou, Lord, only
makest me dwell in safety.

God Whisperers ~

Today I whispered to God,
quietly told Him of my worry
asked Him to direct me
as I made today’s journey.

I didn’t need to scream,
yell or even shout
for I know God’s ears
are always about.

Today I murmured to God,
quietly told Him of my care
asked Him to give me peace
as I made my out there.

My voice was low and soft,
I didn’t need to get loud
for I know God’s ears . . .
to me are always bowed.

Today, I asked God for help,
to Him my prayers I whispered
and my thoughts from afar . . .
to His ears were delivered!

and mine uprising, thou

afar off.”

Make Haste Lord ~

Make haste Lord,
do not be slow
Your help I need
for You to bestow.

Hurry up Lord,
do not tarry
alone this burden
I cannot carry.

Come quickly Lord,
do not delay
send more mercy
to me straight away.

Speed it up Lord,
do not meander
save me swiftly
from this disaster.

Make haste Lord,
run if You will
I so need You . . .
my heart to still!

O Lord: O my strength,
haste thee to help me.”

When You Pray to God ~

When to God you pray,
reflect on each word
think about their effect
before they are heard.

Don’t be in a hurry,
or go off on a rant
don’t use empty phrases
or offer a vague chant.

When to God you pray,
engage your heart wholly
let its reflections embody
all that’s scared and holy.

Don’t try to manipulate,
or use undo persuasion
don’t utilize the time
as a casual occasion.

When you pray to God,
don’t be long winded
don’t let your prayers
get stiff and rigid!

~~~~~~~~
Matthew 6:7
“But when ye pray, use not
vain repetitions, as the
heathen do: for they think
that they shall be heard
for their much speaking.
Hello God ~
Hello God,
are You still there?
I’ve a burden
I need to share.
Greetings God,
did You get my call?
I know I’m not . . .
always on the ball.
Hi God,
am I on hold?
I promise to do
what I am told.
Hey God,
should I ask again?
Maybe I forgot to say
thank you and amen.
Hello God,
are You listening?
Ah, there You are . . .
quietly whispering!
From The Belly Of A Fish ~
If God can hear cries,
from a fish’s belly
I know He hears mine
also loud and clearly.
For wherever I am,
no matter my plight
God in my darkness
will too send His light.
If God can answer,
prayers out of distress
I know mine also
He’ll likewise address.
For it doesn’t matter,
where I might be
my pleas He will hear
and too answer me.
If God answers cries,
from a fish’s belly
I believe mine as well . . .
He’ll too hear readily!
~~~~~~~~~

Jonah 2:1-2

“Then Jonah prayed unto
the Lord his God out of
the fish’s belly,

And said, I cried by reason
of mine affliction unto the Lord,
and he heard me;
out of the belly of hell cried I,
and thou heardest my voice.”

Pray With out Ceasing ~

Pray without ceasing,
answer God will
be anxious for naught
wait and be still.

Pray at all times,
trust and believe
your supplications
God will receive.

Pray to Your Father,
in Jesus’ name
be sure His peace
in your life you claim.

Pray for one another,
raise thankful your hands
seek His face early
and He’ll reveal His plans.

Pray without ceasing,
with gratefulness
remember always
God’s faithfulness!

Don’t Be Shy ~

Don’t be shy,
don’t hesitate
your prayers to God
do resonate.

For whatever we ask,
God promises to hear
so get rid of your doubt
and over your fear.

Don’t be bashful,
don’t vacillate
your prayers to God
do captivate.

For whatever we need,
God promises to supply
so stop questioning Him
with if, but and why.

Don’t be shy,
don’t be timid
let your prayers
to God be lifted!

The Crack of Dawn ~

I wake up at dawn,
along with the dew
and rise up my Lord
to get close to You.

My morning I start,
with You in prayer
so to be ready
to give You my care.

Just like a bird early,
who gets the worm
I study Your Word
to keep my faith firm.

I dress in my armor,
make sure it’s on tight
I pray each verse I read
fills me Your might.

Each morning I awake,
with the crack of dawn
so my soul to You Lord
daily may be drawn!

Lost With Jesus ~

Lost in thought,
the Lord and me
so looking forward
to what I can’t see.

Knowing the peace,
passing understanding
keeps me for Him
eagerly awaiting.

Lost in reminiscing,
days without hope
wondering how
I ever did cope.

Thankful and grateful,
each and every day
my Father hears me
when ever I pray.

Lost in thought,
Jesus and me  . . .
oh, how behind closed doors
with Him, I love to be!

~~~~~~
“But thou, when thou prayest,
enter into thy closet,
and when thou hast shut
thy door, pray to thy
Father which is in secret;
and thy Father which seeth
in secret shall reward thee openly.”
Jesus Prays For Us ~
When my words,
I cannot form
and to God my pleas
I cannot inform.
That’s when Jesus,
steps right in
with moans coming
from deep within.
When I can’t even,
begin to pray
all though I have
a lot to say.
That’s when Jesus,
for me advocates
and my prayers to God
He formulates.
When my words,
can’t form my needs
that’s when Jesus . . .
for me intercedes!
Remote Places ~
Into remote places,
Jesus goes with us
to teach us to pray
so in Him we may trust.
There with Him at our side,
while on bended knee
He gives us more faith
in what we cannot see.
Into barren places,
deep within our soul
Jesus persuades us
to give Him control.
There with Him at His feet,
in the depth of our despair
He shows us how to give
to Him our every care.
Into desolate places,
with Jesus we go . . .
so we can pray His will
we may come to know!
rising up a great while before day,
he went out, and departed into a
When All Seems Dark ~
I know right now,
all seems so dark . . .
and you’re not sure
just where to start.
The news you got,
wasn’t very good
your mind is stuck
on the if’s and could’s.
But, God’s got this,
He knows what to do
and His wisdom
will surely come to you.
I know right now,
all seem so bleak
answers to questions
are all you seek.
So much uncertainty,
right now to face
too many decision
you need to embrace.
But, Jesus is there,
right now with you
to help and show you
what you need to do.
I know right now,
it seems dark tonight
but, tomorrow you’ll see
things better in His light!
Stop And Pray Each Day ~
Each day we need,
to stop and pray
and listen to . . .
what God has to say.
We need to pray,
for His mercy anew
so temptation
we can subdue.
We need to pray,
for more grace
so the enemy
we can face.
We need to pray,
for His favor
if our faith
should waiver.
We Need to pray,
for His healing balm
to help keeps us
still and calm.
We need to pray,
for His power
so we’ll have victory
no matter the hour.
We need to pray,
for His wisdom
to give unto us
a clear vision.
Each day we need,
to continually pray . . .
for we never know
what’ll come our way!
Straight With God ~
Lord, let me be honest,
for, I want You to know . . .
that my faith and trust in You
does not always show.
Please don’t get angry,
when I say You seem far away
don’t be upset with me
for thinking at times this way.
Lord, don’t be disappointed,
when my hope becomes faint
do not get discouraged
when I find it’s hard to wait.
Please do not be enraged,
don’t turn Your ears off
when I’m feeling this way
do not at me scoff.
Lord, do not rebuke,
or chastise me . . .
I’m being straight with You
so the closer we can be!
~~~~~~~~

” O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger,
neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

Look Up To God ~

Early in the morning,
before your arise . . .
make sure to your worries
you keep God apprised.

Let Him know before,
you get your day started
why it is that you feel
fearful and fainthearted.

Early in the morning,
as the sun comes up
before you pour coffee
into your mug or cup.

Let God know how much,
you need Him to be with you
how impossible it’d be
without Him to make it through.

Early in the morning
before out of bed you climb
look up to God and spend . . .
with Him some quality time!

hear in the morning,

will I direct my prayer
unto thee, and will look up.”

Conversing With God ~

You can pray to God,
from anywhere . . .
whether you’re outside
or home in your chair.

God is always listening,
His ear is always near
He has the capacity
for every prayer to hear.

You can pray to God,
about everything
He is receptive . . .
to hear anything.

God is always willing,
to listen to your heart
in your supplications
He wants to take part.

You can pray to God,
He loves to converse
you can just let it go
no need to rehearse.

God is available,
morning, noon or night
it doesn’t matter . . .
the time is always right.

You can pray to God,
have a real conversation
whether out in the open
or in quiet mediation!

and cry aloud: and he

Asking, Believing & Receiving ~

Our Bible tells us,
that we need to ask
for, God to our needs
is up to the task.

But, we must pray,
for them to be met
lest over them
we’ll worry and fret.

Our Bible reveals,
to make known our prayer
for, God wants to help us
with our every care.

But, we must plea,
before Him our case
lest we fail to be . . .
renewed by His grace.

Our Bible says to us,
to pray without ceasing
but, we must go to God . . .
trusting and believing!

~~~~~~~~
whatsoever ye shall ask
in prayer, believing,
ye shall receive.
Whenever I Pray ~
Whenever I pray,
my faith increases
as I release my pleas
my fear decreases.
My confidence grows stronger,
my hope is reinforced
any lingering doubtfulness
quickly gets disbursed.
My mind gets elated,
my heart more exhilarated
my cares and concerns
are promptly alleviated.
My troubles get fewer,
my enemies are defeated
any doubts that I have
swiftly are depleted.
Whenever I pray,
my faith starts exploding
for prayer keeps my trust . . .
in God from corroding!
that we have in him, that,
if we ask any thing according
to his will, he heareth us:”
So Many Sorrows ~
So many sorrows,
too much suffering
so many needing
God’s conforming.
So much illnesses,
too many sick
so many needing
God’s healing quick.
So much confusion,
too many restless
so many needing
God’s peacefulness.
So many troubles,
too much worry
so many blessings
God needs to hurry.
So much sorrow,
so many prayers
so many who need . . .
to know God still cares!
~~~~~~~~~

Psalm 38:21-22

“Forsake me not, O Lord:
O my God, be not far from me.

Make haste to help me,
O Lord my salvation.”

nor forsake thee.”

Daily Prayers ~

I pray each day,
for these things
and for the peace
that they’ll  bring.

For my weaknesses,
to be strong
lest I stop singing
salvation’s song.

For my daily needs,
to be met
lest God’s goodness
I forget.

For my fears,
to be set free
lest His mercy
I’ll fail to see.

For my worries,
alone not to bear
lest onto Jesus
I’ll cast not my care.

For my doubt,
to turn to trust
lest to God’s ways
I’ll not adjust.

Each new day,
before I start
I give to God
prayers on my heart!

whatsoever ye shall ask

ye shall receive.”

Ever Patiently ~

Sometimes when we pray,
we want an instant result
and if we do not get it . . .
we take it as an insult.

So we become disillusioned,
for many of us think
that the chain of prayer
is some kind of magic link.

But, God isn’t a genie,
who grants our every wish
nor a leprechaun with a pot . . .
of gold to make us rich.

Instead, we must be diligent,
and in our prayers persevere
not letting our disappointment
with God’s stillness to interfere.

Sometimes when we pray,
we want answers instantly
so if God has you waiting . . .
do so, ever patiently!

“Blessed be God,
which hath not turned
away my prayer,
nor his mercy from me.”

Not A Word ~

Awhile ago,
I said me a prayer
asking God to help me
with one of my cares.

I waited patiently,
for Him to reply
but, I heard not a word
as time went by.

At first I was grieved,
by God’s silence
for, I so needed Him
to give me guidance.

But, as the days went on,
my faith grew stronger
and my doubt in Him
deterred me no longer.

Then one day I saw,
much to my surprise . . .
His answer was always
right before my eyes!

~~~~~~~~
Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith it is impossible
to please him: for he that cometh
to God must believe that he is,
and that he is a rewarder of them
that diligently seek him.
Matthew 15:22-23
“And, behold, a woman of Canaan
came out of the same coasts,
and cried unto him, saying,
Have mercy on me, O Lord,
thou son of David;
my daughter is grievously
vexed with a devil.
But he answered her not a word.
And his disciples came and
besought him, saying,
Send her away; for she
crieth after us.”
Prayer Requires ~
Our prayers require,
our perseverance
and a thankful heart
to fuel our endurance.
For our supplications,
to a God who knows all
need from grateful lips
to unceasingly fall.
When we’ve no words,
to utter or to speak
when our groanings turn
ineffective and weak.
The Holy Spirit,
for us will intercede
and an indebted heart
we are going to need.
Our prayers require,
our praise and thanksgiving
to a God that’s always been
trusting and forgiving!
~~~~~~~

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Romans 8:26

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth
our infirmities:
for we know not what we should pray
for as we ought: but the Spirit itself
maketh intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be uttered.

Prayers For You My Friend ~

God put you my friend,
on my heart today
He told me for you
He wanted me to pray.

So I went to Him,
while on my knees
and sent up for you
theses heartfelt pleas.

Oh, Father whatsoever,
is Your perfect will
till my friend knows
help them to be still.

Take away their fears,
guard their heart and mind
so that on this journey
your peace they can find.

Be with them always,
do not leave their side
let the Light in Your Word
be their constant guide.

Give them Your power,
the courage to press on
let them claim victory
in the name of Your Son.

Help them not to get tired,
in the battle they must fight
let them feel energized
with the Holy Spirit’s might.

Oh, Father I believe,
you listen to our prayers
and so I come to You  . . .
with my friend’s earthly cares!

~~~~~~~~~
James 5:16
and pray one for another,
that ye may be healed.
of a righteous man availeth much.”
Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.
“It was the last and most important day of the Feast. Jesus stood up and spoke in a loud voice. He said, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Does anyone believe in me? Then, just as Scripture says, streams of living water will flow from inside him." When he said this, he meant the Holy Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit later. Up to that time, the Spirit had not been given. This was because Jesus had not yet received glory.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭7:37-39‬)
