Low And Behold ~

I prayed for more faith,
in what I can’t see . . .
and low and behold
God gave it to me.

I prayed for more grace,
in my heart to grow . . .
and low and behold
more began to flow.

I prayed for more trust,
in knowing God’s will
and low and behold
I learned to be still.

I prayed for more love,
to others to show . . .

more of it I let go.

A Spiritual Spiral ~

When your life turns into,
a spiritual spiral downward
when all you see is chaos
as you look at yourself inward.

That’s when you need to stop,
whatever you are doing
and after God’s will for you
begin to start pursuing.

When your faith flounders,
don’t let your life fall back
instead turn to Jesus
for the trust that you lack.

For Jesus will be there,
to give His strength to you
and bless you with the power
for everything you must do.

When life begins to spin,
out of your control
God will preserve . . .
the saving of your soul!

Something Good Is Happening ~

A good work God is doing,
a new work is getting done
now that you have given
your life over to His Son.

He will be conforming you,
into His own image
by helping you to get rid
of your worldly baggage.

A good work God is perfecting,
a new things He’s got going
and He will let you know
where you need to be growing.

For He wants you to know,
what is His will for you
and you will have to give up
some things you use to do.

Something good is happening,
all in God’s perfect timing . . .
for each day your heart
to His, He is aligning!

Getting My Home In Order ~

I’m getting my home in order,
cleaning up all the grime . . .
getting rid of the things
robbing God of my time.

My closet I’ll declutter,
throw out the worthless stuff
toss away my wasteful junk
and all the other useless fluff.

I’m getting my home in order,
clearing out all the rubbish . . .
so that my faith and trust
won’t be weak and sluggish.

I’ll go from room to room,
search until I finally find
all the things that are futile
so I can unbound my mind.

I’m getting my home in order,
my time I’m going to free
so I can spend more of it . . .
thinking about things I can’t see!

Establishing My Faith~

Establishing my faith,
pressing closer into . . .
the higher calling
found Jesus in You.

Gaining a perception,
of godly discernment
giving understanding
my full commitment.

growing spiritually
working out my faith
uncompromisingly.

trusting You for all things
letting Your Word

Each day I’m being renewed,
in the recess of my mind
as I find in my Bible
blessings of every kind.

As my faith is restored,
my trust in God improves
I can see through my life
how the Holy Spirit moves.

As I Get Older ~

Though I’m getting older,
I just keep growing . . .
for much greater things
God keeps on showing.

I never get tired,
uninterested or bored
for I’m always learning
more about my Lord.

as the Word of God
becomes more exciting.

I never get weary,
reading and knowing
for the wisdom I’m getting
keeps my faith flowing.

God’s Not Finished With Me ~

God’s not finished with me,
I know this to be true . . .
for, I can see all the things
that He has yet to do.

I realize He got started,
on me a long time ago
but, I also know there’s still
a lot of room for me to grow.

God’s not done with me,
all things beautiful take time
but, first He needed to chisel
away sin’s grit and grime.

I know when I came to Him,
my life was a big mess
but, a masterpiece takes time
and a lot of divine finesse.

God’s not finished with me,
He has a long way to go . . .
but, I am confident in this
when He is done, I will know!

Passionately Insatiable ~

Lord let me not get,
too old to keep learning
keep my eagerness
for knowledge burning.

The Waiting Season ~

When God takes His time,
He always has a just reason
for, a lot of growing is done
while in the waiting season.

For, as we start to anticipate,
the answer to our prayer
God begins to show us
why not all things are fair.

When God takes His time,
at getting back to us
it for us is not the time
to lose our faith and trust.

For, He wants us to believe,
with all our heart and soul
how everything is always
in His infinite control.

When God takes His time,
it’s up to us to keep praying
for good things happen to those
who endure the waiting!

Feeding Our Faith ~

In troubled times,
more trust we need
that is why our faith
we must daily feed.

Then when problems,
are thrown at us
all we have to do
is tap into our trust.

In troubled times,
we need faith strong
for we never know
what may come along.

Then when worries,
start barreling our way
all we have to do
is to trust and pray.

In troubled times,
we need to grow in grace
that’s why we need to feed . . .
our faith on a daily base!

God Has A Plan ~

For every trial,
God has a purpose
He has a plan . . .
before they surface.

He sends us tests,
deserving or not
to see how much
grace we have got.

It is up to us,
how we will react
whether our troubles
our faith will impact.

Some choose to grow,
resentful and bitter
some opt to make
their faith in God bigger.

For every trial,
God sends to us . . .
He’ll reveal the purpose
as we increase our trust!

Faith Tried and Tested ~

My faith grows,
from being tested
it gets stronger
when in the Word
I am rested.

My faith rises,
from being redirected
it gets keener
when with God
I stay connected.

My faith increases,
from being tried
it gets sharper
when in Jesus
I faithfully abide.

My faith bounds,
from being proven
it gets firmer
when in the Spirit
my life gets movin’.

When my faith is tried,
I don’t think it’s odd
when it’s being tested
to me, it’s not weird
because I trust in God!

Spiritual Inventory ~

I’m taking inventory,
of my spiritual progress
going to be weighing
my increase, my digress.

Going to take stock,
to see if I’ve grown
going to be looking for
the gifts I’ve blown.

I’m going to catalog,
how much fruit I’ve got
going to see if its usable
or if its starting to rot.

Going to be searching,
down deep into my soul
see if I’m warehousing
any areas I still control.

I’m taking inventory,
doing me some stock taking
because one day to God . . .
I’ll be giving an accounting!
