Autumn Blessings ~

Autumn brings to the soul relief,
as hot Summer days slip to an end
God sent the season for weary hearts
to restore, repair and mend.

Unlike the Autumn trees,
that shed their changing leaves
God sent the season for failing hearts
to adhere, embrace and cleave.

Just as with the Autumn winds,
there comes a refreshing rain
God sent the season for fraying hearts
to increase, grow and gain.

The Autumn sun is slow to climb,
and dips earlier into the night
God sent the season for sleepy hearts
to rise, shine and awake in His light.

God gave to us the Autumn season,
so we could have a respite and rest
for it is the season for our beset souls
to see how much we are truly blessed!

He Heals The Soul ~

He repairs hearts,
fills in the holes
mends the spirit
heals the soul.

His love reaches,
the deep recesses
where painful thoughts
hide and depresses.

He gives grace,
to those in need
His tender mercies
vastly exceed.

He steadies the nerves,
calms down the mind
so our fragile past
we can leave behind.

Jesus fills in the hole,
He’s the missing piece . . .
He is the only One
who can bring true peace!

Shine Your Light ~

Your light can shine,
without saying a word
volumes it can speak
without being heard.

The light of your smile,
says I’ll brighten your day
the light of your touch
says I’ll help show the way.

The light in your eyes,
says Jesus loves you
the light of your hug
says I’ll stay with you too.

The light of your mind,
says I’ll show you mercy
the light of your tears
says to God were all worthy.

You don’t have to say,
not a word of any kind
just let Jesus’ light shine
so His love others may find!
