Lord, each new day I lift,
my soul up to You . . .
my heart searches in Your Word
till Your light comes into view.
I pray for Your guidance,
a willingness to be led
a heart relationship I want
not one just in my head.
I know I am teachable,
there’s so much I can learn
even though I’m in mid-life
to Your ways I still yearn.
Lord, my faith is in Your hand,
I put my trust in all You do
I lift up my soul in praise . . .
for the grace I found in You!

Psalm 25:5
King James Version
“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day.”
