Not Of This World ~

I’m in this world,
but, I am not of it
for I am filled . . .
with the Holy Spirit.

I am a believer.
I have been set apart
for it is Jesus
who lives in my heart.

I am a follower,
of the Life, Truth and Way
for I know greater is He
then he who rather me stray.

I am a foreigner,
I have been transformed
for to the ways of the world
I am no longer conformed.

The Morning Star’s Light ~

A single star shinning,
on a moonless night
God’s gift to the world
wrapped up in the Light.

Wise men make the journey,
from places east and far
in search for what they know
will be the Morning Star.

With gifts they set out,
to the town of Bethlehem
to find the Babe, the Savior
who came not to condemn.

And so they came to be,
face to face with their King
knowing He was the Prince
who eternal peace would bring.

One single, solitary star,
still beckons the world today
to follow the Light that leads . . .
to the Truth, Life and Way!

I Hear You Jesus ~

I hear You Jesus,
Your voice I recognize
I’m aware of the wolves
wearing a sheep’s disguise.

I listen for Your inflection
I know the tone they use
lacks truth and direction.

The Light and Salt ~

If we’re to be the light,
where is our shine . . .
if we’re to expose evil
then where is our spine?

If we know with God,
all things are possible
then why aren’t we sharing
every sin is washable?

If we’re to be the salt,
then where is our grit . . .
if we’re to help save others
why are they still in the pit?

If we know Jesus,
is the Truth, Life and Way
then why are these words
so hard for us to say?

If we’re to be the light,
then let’s light up and glow
if we’re to be the salt . . .
then let us ~ let it flow!

How beautiful are the feet,
traveling across each nation
who share the Good News . . .
about God and His creation.

How faithful are the lives,
journeying into the streets
who bring the love of Jesus
to the sinners that they meet.

How gracious are the ones,
willing to leave their own home
so they can bring back to God
just one sheep on the roam.

How loyal are the steps,
of those going out each day
to share salvation’s story
to all they meet along the way.

How beautiful are the feet
entering the faithful race . . .
proclaiming God’s salvation
and the peace of His grace!

Joy Entered The World ~

Joy entered the world,
Truth found its way in
Grace penetrated through
all barrier’s of sin.

Love came down from heaven,
a Father’s Gift revealed
Light infiltrated into hearts
by His stripes they’re now healed.

The Way emergencies,
Jesse’s Branch shoots forth
a Savior materializes
out of a Virgin’s birth.

Peace broke though,
Flesh took on form
God’s Mercy establishes
Salvation’s only platform.

Hope descended,
God’s Favor comes to Rest
Eternal Life in His Son
finally manifests.

Putting On Mercy ~

Lord, help me to put on,
Your tender mercy
to all those who are
hungry and thirsty.

Help me to be kind,
to those who are needy
keep me always humble
not selfish and greedy.

Lord, help me to put on,
Your loving, forgiving heart
so when I am wronged
forgiveness I can impart.

Help me to be gracious,
give me Job like patience
to all who You send or bring
into my acquaintance.

so for You I can lead . . .

Out On The Streets ~

Church isn’t the only place,
for us to gather and meet
nor is it the only roof
for the unsaved to greet.

For outside its walls,
is a world that’s awaiting
and the Kingdom of God . .
we need to be proclaiming.

Church isn’t the only place,
where you go once a week
nor is it the only building
for the lost to find and seek.

For outside its doors,
are people needing to know
and the Life, Truth and Way
we need to live and show.

Church isn’t the only place,
for us to gather and meet
there’s a whole congregation . . .
out there on the street!

Walking With the Godless ~

When you walk,
from God’s will away
you’ll be on the road
to spiritual decay.

For, satan will come,
with his distorted views
so your mind he can
confound and confuse.

your spiritual life
will become a mess.

For, the ungodly,
give worldly advice
to follow it only leads
to spiritual demise.

When you walk,
with the sinful
you better become
for your soul fearful.

For surely to walk,

your spiritual life . . .

CHRISTmas is Christ ~

CHIRSTmas is Christ,
no matter what they say
it’s all about Jesus
being born on this day.

It’s not about Santa,
or reindeer on the roof
it’s not about the clatter
of their little, tiny hoofs.

CHRISTmas is Christ,
the Babe, the Son of Man
it’s all about the Savior
and God’s salvation plan.

It’s not about decorations,
trees or special lights
it’s not about the sales
or our out-of-town flights.

CHRISTmas is Christ,
the Lamb, our Hope, the Rock
it’s about the Price of Peace
and hearing Jesus knock.

Fully Invested ~

My heart and soul,
in God are invested
so I call on Him . . .
wherever I’m tested

Guarding Our Hearts ~

It’s so important,
to guard our hearts
for God’s treasures
into them, He imparts.

For, our hearts are now,
the wellspring to life
without God’s blessings
we’d have only strife.

We need to be diligent,
to keep our hearts pure
we must remain hopeful
in our faith secure.

For,  in our hearts,
the Holy Spirit dwells
we must protect them
from the fires of hell.

We need to keep them,
with God always right
so He can fill them
with the Truth and Light.

It’s so important,
to keep our hearts guarded
lest we become to God . . .
once again hard-hearted!

The Harvest is Now ~

The harvest like sheep,
is plentiful
the fields like wheat
are bountiful.

The harvest is ripe,
with the spiritually lost
like sheep they need
to be lead to the cross.

to be taken in
so many needing
freedom from sin.

The harvest is now,

to guide aimless sheep

Age of Rejection ~

We are living in,
the age of rejection
a time where we see
from God a defection.

It’s an era of change,
a time of redirection
from the Truth and Way
we’ve lost the connection.

It’s a movement,
of rebellion and pride
where our sinful lusts
we no longer hide.

It’s a real revolution,
it is not an illusion
for Satan has control
of all of the confusion.

We are living in the age,
of  times perilous . . .
for so many hearts to God
have turned cold and callous!

Sleeping saints,
need a shake . . .
from their apathy
the need to awake.

Snooze you lose,
so goes the saying
if they don’t waken
they’ll be ones remaining.

they act as if . . .
they haven’t a care.

Their sleepy souls,
are in hibernation
to God’s truths
they’re in violation.

When you have faith,

Heavenly gifts,
