Good Morning Quote ~05.01.20~

Mercy and Truth Merges ~

Mercy and truth have merged,
redemption found on the cross
righteousness and peace kissed
God’s justice cleanses the dross.

Truth was raised from the earth,
from death came resurrection
eternal life rose from the grave
bringing to God reconciliation.

Love looked down from above,
forgiveness imparted to each soul
hope shall make way for His steps
so in Him all can be made whole.

For those who are beholden,
to the Life, Truth and the Way
will jubilantly celebrate
with Jesus in heaven one day.

Mercy and truth came together,
righteousness and peace have kissed
all who by grace through faith believe
will have glorious, eternal bliss!

~~~~~~~~~
Psalm 85:10-12
“Mercy and truth
are met together;
righteousness and peace
have kissed each other.
Truth shall spring
out of the earth;
and righteousness shall
look down from heaven.”
Beyond The Cross ~
Beyond the cross,
there’s a glorious view
for in Jesus’ death . . .
all things are made new.
New beginnings,
fresh clean starts
eternal hope
to fill our hearts.
Beyond the cross,
there is new life
the end to sin
and worldly strife.
No more battles,
no more struggles
no more satan
causing troubles.
Beyond the cross,
there are no fears
no death, no pain
and no more tears.
Despair will end,
suffering will cease
there will only be
everlasting peace.
Beyond the cross,
hope springs anew
all because Jesus . . .
died for me and you!
~~~~~~~~~

Hebrews 12:2

“Looking unto Jesus
the author and finisher of our faith;

who for the joy that was set
before him endured the cross,

despising the shame,
and is set down at the
right hand of the throne of God.”

It Is Finished ~

“It is finished”
words of agony from Jesus’ lips
“It is finished
no greater love will again eclipse.

“It is finished”
these words aloud Jesus said
and for the sins of everyone
His soul hemorrhage and bled.

“It is finished”
but, what really had just begun
was that grace and forgiveness
were freely given by God’s Son.

“It is finished”
but, for you it can be a new start
if you repent now of your sin
and give Jesus your whole heart.

“It is finished”
Jesus died so that you’d be free
let His death on  Calvary’s cross
take your soul to its knees.

“It is finished”
but, it’s not the end of the story
not until the day all of mankind
stands before God’s in all His glory.

“It is finished”
words of hope from Jesus’ lips
“It is finished”
don’t let His love for you eclipse!

John 19:30

“So when Jesus had received the sour
wine, He said, “It is finished!” And
bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

All Because of His Name ~

All Because of His Name ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ photo/creationswap

He who had no fault,
no witness to defame
was declared guilty . . .
all because of His name.

He who broke no law,
nor to Satan did He obey
was crucified to death
for our iniquity that day.

He who did no wrong,
was put to public shame
ridiculed upon the cross
all because of His name.

He who had no sin,
took the punishment for us
with each piercing stab
on Him that was thrust.

He who had no fault,
took our share of blame
so He could forgive all . . .
who call upon His name!

~~~~~~~~~
Isaiah 53:2-5
“For he shall grow up before him
as a tender plant, and as a root
out of a dry ground: he hath no
form nor comeliness; and when we
shall see him, there is no beauty
that we should desire him.
He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted
with grief: and we hid as it were
our faces from him; he was despised,
and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows: yet we
did esteem him stricken, smitten
of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our
transgressions, he was bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement
of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.”
Experience The Cross ~
CROSS-Saves
Have you experienced the cross,
have you found in Jesus’ death
there’s new beginnings, new hope
new joy, new life, new breath.
Have you experienced the cross,
have you seen all that it can do
it cleanses, it washes, it rinses
the defiance right out of you.
Have you experienced the cross,
have you felt the power within
it restores, it renews, it repairs
the effects and damage of sin.
Have you experienced the cross,
have you found what love has done
it redeems, it forgives, it pardons
through the grace of God’s Son!
Come to The Cross ~
 Come to The Cross ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Come to the Cross,
all who are heavy laden
come to the Cross
all who have been forsaken.
For, at the Cross,
Jesus will be waiting there
for, at the Cross
He wants your every care.
Come to the Cross,
all who are anxious and fearful
come to the Cross
all who are grievous and tearful.
For, at the Cross,
Jesus brings peace and stillness
for, at the Cross . . .
there’s endless forgiveness!
His Love For You ~
His Love for You ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
You are precious to God,
to Him you are prized
His love for you . .
cannot be compromised.
You are valuable to Him,
worth more than gold
His love for you . . .
is yours to behold.
You are important to Him,
in His sight, you are dear
His love for you . . .
is genuine and sincere.
You are unique to Him,
you are awesomely made
His love for you . . .
will never cease or fade.
You are precious to God,
you are His truly beloved
to Him you are a treasure
and you’re eternally loved!
No Longer Guilty ~
No Longer Guilty ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
At the foot of the cross,
my tears mixed with shame
and I felt such deep regret
as I cried out His name.
“Lord, I know my sins,
have caused You much pain
please come into my life
my soul, my heart and reign.”
Waves of guilt passed by,
one-by-one they marched on
I looked to God and praised Him
for the gift of His beloved Son.
As I prayed for forgiveness,
confessing to Him my every sin
I could feel His love and mercy
purging the shame I felt within.
I was redeemed by grace,
that day Jesus died for me . . .
and there at the foot of the cross
He declared me ~ no longer guilty!
Which Path Are You On ~
What Path Will You Take ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
There are many roads,
that are ahead of us
most will lead to doubt
some will lead to trust.
There are plenty of paths,
that we can choose to take
some will lead to heaven
most hold hell, as our fate.
They are countless avenues,
that we will come upon
most will bring us down
some will keep us pressing on.
There are many intersections,
that we will come across
some will lead straight to Jesus
most lead away from the cross.
There are many freeways,
each day to travel on . . .
but, there is only one highway
that will take us to God’s Son!
~~~~~~~

Isaiah 35:8
King James Version

” And an highway shall be there,
and a way, and it shall be called
The way of holiness;
the unclean shall not pass over it;
but it shall be for those:
the wayfaring men, though fools,
shall not err therein.

Without Jesus ~

Without Jesus ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Jesus died for you,
and He died for me
He died for the whole world
so our need for Him, we’d see.

He died for the miserable,
the hardened, the hopeless
He died so that we’d see
without Him, we are helpless.

He died for the cruel,
the wicked, the guilty
He died so that we’d see
without Him, we are filthy.

He died for the sorrowful,
the poor, the meek
He died so that we’d see
without Him, we are weak.

He died for the troubled,
the worried, the weary
He died so that we’d see
without Him, we are needy.

Jesus died for the lost,
and He died for the unsaved
He died so that we’d see
without Him, we are depraved!

The Winter Soul ~

The winter of the soul . . .
is a cold and lonely season
when it doesn’t understand
the intention or the reason.

The bitter winds that come,
chills it to the marrow
with each gust that blows
it feels like a poison arrow.

The freezing rain and sleet,
seizes up its every tear
they become like icicles
encased with all its fear.

The winter soul can’t take,
the ills, the weight, the loss
unless the soul is willing
to keep clinging to the cross.

For it is in this icy season,
the soul can find His warmth
and nestle in the comfort
of what God will bring forth.

So, if the battered soul,
is to survive this frosty time
it must be willing to soar
and over each blizzard climb.

Winter in the soul . . .
is a cold and lonely season
but it can find great peace
knowing God has His reason.

The Bridge ~

faith_1024-500x500

There is a bridge you can take,
it leads to water’s living . . .
it’s there you’ll find peace
merciful and forgiving.

Over trials and tribulations,
it will take you across
the span of His loving hands
will lead you to the cross.

It is a bridge of assurance,
trouble waters will not last
and for you He has a future
much better than the past.

The hardships in this life,
will take faith to get through
and Jesus is the bridge linking
His Father right to you!

Heaven’s One ~

holyspirit-CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

A faithful Father, a loyal Son,
a willing Spirit ~ Heavens One.

A universe, a day – a week,
an open door, for those who seek.

A tombstone covers, an open grave,
a promise kept, a world saved.

A young man’s fate, in a lion’s den,
a second coming, we know not when.

A fearful people, pass through the sea,
a cross on Calvary, sets all men free.

A woman forgiven, besides a well,
a world spinning, on the edge of hell.

A Fathers grace sent on a Dove,
a dying Son, whose name is Love ~

The Old Paths ~

I Will Follow used with permission IBible Verses

Lord, lead me to the old paths,
the ones tried and true
so I may follow Your ways
in all I set out to do.

Let me not forget Thy grace,
the election of my inheritance
let me not lose sight of You
because of pride or arrogance.

Let me not be caught up in,
the gospel of convenience
one that doesn’t include a cross
or to me, any inconvenience.

Help me to stand and see,
to consider and compare
the path of righteousness
so false prophets I’ll be aware.

Let me not be deceived,
by the spirit of this age
in the church of the godless
where You have been upstaged.

Lord, may I walk the old paths,
for I know they lead to You
let me not walk on the paths
that the heathen people do!

and ye shall find rest for your souls.

It’s All About You, Lord ~

It's All About You Lord ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

It’s all about you Lord,
not about me . . .
it’s all about what You did
so that I could be free.

It’s all about Your love,
the gift of eternal grace
it’s all about that day
my sins You erased.

It’s all about Your life,
the Truth and the Way
it’s all about surrendering
to You each new day.

It’s all about Your strength,
the might and the power
it’s all about trusting
You every single hour.

It’s all about Your mercy,
the pity and the compassion
it’s all about making
Your heart my passion.

It’s all about you Lord,

it’s all about Your blood
that I must die to me!

Clinging to My Victories ~

I'm Clinging to My Victories ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I’m clinging to my victories,
no matter what happens to me
I may suffer for today
but, tomorrow . . .
Jesus will set me free.

I’m clinging to my victories,
even when going through the fire
I may be downtrodden today
but, tomorrow . . .
Jesus will lift me higher.

I’m clinging to my victories,
although now my heart is fearful
I may be anxious today
but, tomorrow . . .
Jesus will make me cheerful.

I’m clinging to my victories,
as the storm continues to rage on
I may be weary today
but, tomorrow . . .
Jesus will bring the sun.

I’m clinging to my victories,
though everything’s a total loss
I may be bankrupt today
but, my debt . . .
Jesus took care of on the cross!

It’s no wonder . . .
there’s so much pain today

all wander off and roam.

It’s no wonder . . .
there’s so much excessive greed
no one reads the Word
all don’t see salvation’s need.

It’s no wonder . . .
there’s so many who are lost
no one acknowledges their sin
all eyes are off the Cross.

It’s no wonder . . .
there’s so much turmoil going on
no one trusts in God

God Gave ~

God gave unto the world,
His only begotten Son
the sacrifice and atonement
for the sins of everyone.

On the cross He became,
the substitute to fulfill the law
Jesus became the  ransom
for our every wicked flaw.

He delivered us from our guilt,
and put our sins away forever
in the surrender of His life He gave
what we could not endeavor.

Now we are His people,
purchased out of His great love
sanctified and set apart

Pressing Into The Goal ~

Track-Running-Race_Sven-Hoppe_i1 from common photo archive

It’s not about a contest,
it’s about the one you enter in
for the race that’s before you
can be full of good or full of sin.

It’s not about how fast you are,
it’s about your direction
and if to the Gospel of grace
you will make a connection.

It’s not about the time you run,
it’s about pressing into the goal
and if you follow after Jesus
with all your heart and soul.

It’s not about the finish line,
it’s about how close you come
to the mark of a higher calling
and the glory of God’s kingdom.

It’s not about the winning,
it’s about your defeat and loss
and if you gained true knowledge
of why Christ died on the cross!

Living In The Light ~

Living in the Light ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Living in the light,
brings about true freedom
it will give you access
to God’s eternal kingdom.

It exposes the sin,
that is enslaving you
as it directs you to the cross
it will show you what to do.

Living in the light,
gives new purpose to life
no more aimless drifting
no more fighting daily strife.

It will guide and lead you,
closer to God every day
for the truth will shine
grace and mercy on your way.

Living in the light,
brings joy and vitality
gone are the gloomy days
for there is a new reality.

No more living in fear,
no more feeling all alone
living in the light
is trusting in God’s Son.

Living in the light,
isn’t very hard to do
but, following Jesus
is all up to you!

What Causes Our Feet to Stumble?

What Causes Our Feet To Stumle ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Photo CreationSwap

What causes our feet to stumble,
so quickly in these last days?
Was not Jesus our example,
on how to keep ourselves humble?

Did He not draw a line in the sand,
an expose to all men their sin?
Was He not the One who promised,
salvation would come from His hand?

Did He not still preach the Word,
to all those He came across?
Did He not hold them accountable,
for the truth that they had heard?

Did He not prepare the way,
for the Holy Spirit’s filling?
Did He not tell everyone to fear,
God’s wrath on judgment day?

Did He just give up,
and ask God to save Him from death?
Did He not continue on to drink,
the grace raised in His Father’s  cup?

Did He not face the cross,
with severe pain and suffering?
So then why do we think . . .
we should not undergo any loss?

What causes are feet to stumble,
so quickly in these last days?
Didn’t Jesus set for us an example,
on how to stay meek and humble?

Because Jesus Said So ~

Because Jesus Said So ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Why must we give up our lives,
and everything we love and own
why must we make Him the ruler
and put Him on our heart’s throne?

Why must we deny ourselves,
and all that brings us pleasure
why must we surrender to the Lord
all that we adore and treasure?

Why must we sell everything,
and leave our dead behind
why must we sacrifice our wealth
and give to the poorest of mankind?

Why must we take up our cross,
and follow wherever He may go
why must we part with everything?
Because . . . Jesus said so!

Some Days ~

Steps of Faith by Daniel R free ohoto #14252

Lord, some days I just don’t know,
what I am gonna do . . .
sometimes I haven’t the strength
to follow in Your shoes.

Some days are just impossible,
to pick up my cross
sometimes I can’t bear
yet another loss.

Some days are just harder,
to go to You in prayer
sometimes it’s so easy
to fall into Satin’s snare.

Some days I feel so lost,
so alone and miserable
sometimes I feel like my sins
to You ~ aren’t forgivable.

Some days are too difficult,
from the moment they arrive
sometimes the night ahead
seems impossible to survive.

Lord, some days I just don’t know,
what I am gonna do . . .
that is why today I’m starting it ~
by trusting in only You!

The Cross of Compassion ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~

I cried the day I met Jesus,
I wailed, I bawled, I groaned
I cried learning how He died
I wept, I sobbed, I moaned.

I cried when I found out,
He was crucified  to save me
I cried when I discovered
in His death I was set free.

I cried when I first knew,
by His death I was justified
I wept, I wailed, I sobbed
the day I heard Jesus died.

I cried when I received,
the gift of His eternal passion
I cried when I found my hope

I cried the day I envisioned,
the blood stains on His face
I wept, I sobbed, I moaned
thanking God for His grace!

Bankrupt Lives ~

Bankrupt Lives ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~

Guilt was erased from us that day,
and for our souls, Jesus died and bled
when the thorns of our unrighteousness
were crowned around His perfect head.

Our vile sins are the thrash marks,
that were flogged deep into His chest
the Son of God became our justification,
and paid the price ~ for our eternal rest.

Bankrupt lives, on top of faithful shoulders,
our faults and unbelief He had to bear
the burden of each of our transgressions
on the Cross of Calvary Jesus had to wear.

Our hopelessness was sealed and nailed,
then hung upon that wooden bar
spikes driven into His hands and feet
the Lamb of God became our wayward scar.

The debt of our blame and condemnation,
was plunged deep into His forgiving side
piercing through to heaven’s gate
so He could receive His faithful bride.

Our rebellious, wicked, evil ways,
caught up to Him on that promised day
when at last it was finally over
His mercy became for us, the only way.

Free, unmerited, not deserving favor,
granted by God’s grace, and grace alone
His work on the cross finally finished
now He sits upon heaven’s throne.

Oh, that glorious, wonderful day,
when Christ rose from His earthly grave
bankrupt lives, now rich and lush
for His life ~ to all ~ He gave.

Hebrews 7:27
King James Version

“Who needeth not daily, as those high priests,
to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins,
and then for the people’s: for this he did once,
when he offered up himself.”

By Grace Alone

By grace alone,
not of me . . .
in Christ through faith
is why I’m free.

By grace alone,
not of my hand
so I humbly receive
redemption’s plan.

By grace alone,
not of my deed
the Word is sufficient
for want and need.

By grace alone,
not of my thought
God and favor
cannot be bought.

By grace alone,
not of my doing
a gift in measure
worth my pursuing.

By grace alone,
not of me . . .
justification epitomized
on the cross of Calvary!

Ephesians 2:8
King James Version

“For by grace
you have been saved
through faith,

and that not of yourselves;
it is the gift of God.”

Lord, Take My Hand ~

Lord, Take My Hand ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Jesus, I admit defeat,
I relinquish all to You
take my hand Lord Jesus
do what only You can do.

A life without victory,
beaten down by all the loss
take my hand Lord Jesus
and lead me to Your Cross.

A heart that’s been broken,
beset by grief and pain
take my hand Lord Jesus
and lead me home again.

Restore to me my first love,
remove the stones You see
take my hand Lord Jesus
and guide me back to Thee.

Jesus, I do surrender,
my life is Yours to pursue
take my hand Lord Jesus
and bring me closer to You.

Psalm 31:5
King James Version

“Into thine hand
I commit my spirit:

thou hast redeemed me,
O Lord God of truth.”

At His Feet ~

three-crosses-2 free photo

It was there on the hill of Calvary,
where Jesus died for me
it was then that I realized . . .
with Him eternally I wanted to be.

It was there that I broke,
into a million little pieces
and gave up my burdens
for His peace that never ceases.

It was looking to the cross,
that made me see my sin
it was when I asked Jesus
to come and dwell within.

It was at His very feet,
where I laid down all my sorrow
and asked Him to be
my today and my tomorrow.

It was on the hill of Calvary,
where I left my sinful life . . .
and gave to my Savior
this world, my pain, the strife!

Mark 8:34
King James Version

“And when he had called the people unto him
with his disciples also, he said unto them,
Whosoever will come after me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

Faith, Hoped For . . .

At the foot of the cross, I left my burdens
along with my shame and doubt
then I handed over what was left to Jesus
and He turned my life inside out.

Through bitter tears and deep sobbing,
confessions rolled down my cheeks
then He took from me my pride
and taught me to be spiritually meek.

He showed me the meaning of forgiveness
though compassion, mercy and grace
then He shined His light in my heart
and His love you could see on my face.

He opened my eyes to the meaning,
of trusting in something that we can’t see
then He filled me with His hope and joy
and promised one day in heaven will be.

For years, I spent my days wondering,
just what this Lord and Savior was about
ah, but that day I left my burdens with Jesus
He took ~ what was left of my doubt.

“It Is Finished”

“It is finished”
words of agony from His lips
“It is finished”
no greater love will again eclipse.

“It is finished”
these words Jesus once said
for the sins of the world
His soul hemorrhage and bled.

“It is finished”
but what really had just begun
was that grace and forgiveness
were bought, for all by God’s Son.

“It is finished”
for you,  it can be a new start
if you repent of your every sin
and give Jesus your whole heart.

“It is finished”
Jesus died so that you’d be free
let His death on the cross
take your soul to its knees.

“It is finished”
but, it’s not the end of the story
not until the day all of mankind
will stand before God’s full glory.

“It is finished”
words of hope from Jesus’ lips
“It is finished”
don’t let His love for you eclipse!

John 19:30

King James Version

“So when Jesus had received the sour
wine, He said, “It is finished!” And
bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”
