Life’s Curves ~

When life throws you a curve,
and you don’t know what to do
when your world comes . . .
crashing down on you.

Know that God will give you,
the power that you need
so that through the ruins
you will be able to proceed.

When one day all is well,
but, the next one not so . . .
when danger is all around
whichever direction you go.

Know that Jesus will be,
always right next to you
and with His strength
He’ll help you get through.

When life throws you a curve,
give up don’t you dare . . .
but, be instead content
no matter what your care!

Everywhere I look,
there’s a storm brewing
reminding me just why
my faith needs renewing.

For in the whirlwinds,
life so often brings . . .
I need to be reminded
God controls all things.

Everywhere I turn,
a tempest is being forecast
reminding me just why
I need to hold on fast.

For in the thunder’s roar,
comes fear and dismay
and so I remind myself
I need not be afraid.

Storms Are Just A Part of Life ~

Storms are a part of life,
it’s just the way it goes . . .
and often we get tossed
by the wind as it blows.

We need to remain calm,
so we’re not blown about
otherwise we’ll be thrown
into the sea of doubt.

Storms can sneak up on us,
leaving us blind-sided
and often our trust in God
becomes misguided.

We need to remain faithful,
on Jesus keep our eyes
lest through the storm
we’ll fall for satan’s lies.

Storms are part of life,
it’s just the way it goes . . .
but we know God controls
just where the wind blows!

As life’s storms,
we come upon
as more troubles
they bring on.

We need to pray,
as we sit and wait . . .
with forbearance
until they abate.

causing our worries
to teem and abound.

to our future hope

to help us to cope.

In the midst of a storm,
Jesus is there . . .
He is ready to take
our fear, our care.

He hears our cries,
for His aid and relief
His ready to help us with
our lingering disbelief.

In the middle of the turmoil,
Jesus is waiting . . .
He is able to ease
our apprehensions grating.

He hears our lamenting,
our weeping and wailings
for He understands . . .

We’re In This Boat Together ~

I’m riding out these waves,

For, Jesus is with me,
we’re in this boat together . . .

any storm we could weather.

As the winds barrel down,
I’m going to coast along
they’ll not blow me away
