Crossing Over ~

I’m crossing over,
nothing is going to stop me
not the storm, not the wind
not the waves on the sea.

I’m getting pass this,
I’ll not go down with the ship
I’m hanging on to Jesus
in faith to Him I’ll grip.

I’m hanging on tight,
nothing will get in my way
I’m not losing my direction
from Jesus I’ll not stray.

I’m keeping grounded,
I won’t be tossed about
I’m counting on Jesus
to take away all my doubt.

I’m crossing over,

Waves Of Fear ~

Lord, keep me safe,
keep me afloat
for I sense a leak . . .
in this rickety old boat.

The water is rising,
I’m in over my head
I can feel it taking on
my anxiety and dread.

Lord, I am not ready,
to give up this ship
but, off of it I fear . . .
I am going to soon slip.

Protect me Lord Jesus,
from these waves of fear
I give to You the helm
so over them You can steer.

Lord, keep me safe and secure,
keep me anchored to You
for, I know there isn’t anything
we can’t together get through!

Life’s Curves ~

When life throws you a curve,
and you don’t know what to do
when your world comes . . .
crashing down on you.

Know that God will give you,
the power that you need
so that through the ruins
you will be able to proceed.

When one day all is well,
but, the next one not so . . .
when danger is all around
whichever direction you go.

Know that Jesus will be,
always right next to you
and with His strength
He’ll help you get through.

give up don’t you dare . . .
but, be instead content
no matter what your care!

Whirlwinds Of Life ~

Everywhere I look,
there’s a storm brewing
reminding me just why
my faith needs renewing.

For in the whirlwinds,
life so often brings . . .
I need to be reminded
God controls all things.

Everywhere I turn,
a tempest is being forecast
reminding me just why
I need to hold on fast.

For in the thunder’s roar,
comes fear and dismay
and so I remind myself
I need not be afraid.

Everywhere I look,
there is a storm gusting
reminding me on Jesus . . .
I need to keep trusting!

Storms Are Just A Part of Life ~

Storms are a part of life,
it’s just the way it goes . . .
and often we get tossed
by the wind as it blows.

We need to remain calm,
so we’re not blown about
otherwise we’ll be thrown
into the sea of doubt.

Storms can sneak up on us,
leaving us blind-sided
and often our trust in God
becomes misguided.

We need to remain faithful,
on Jesus keep our eyes
lest through the storm
we’ll fall for satan’s lies.

Storms are part of life,
it’s just the way it goes . . .
but we know God controls
just where the wind blows!

As life’s storms,
we come upon
as more troubles
they bring on.

We need to pray,
as we sit and wait . . .
with forbearance
until they abate.

When life’s storms,
keep coming around
causing our worries
to teem and abound.

We need to hold fast,
to our future hope
as we sit and wait . . .
to help us to cope.

When life’s storms,
come at us straight
we’ll need God’s help
to sit and wait!

to a calming hush
He gives His peace . . .
as storms at us rush.

He silences the seas,
to a tranquil lull
He grants us strength
when ours is dull.

He quiets the storms,
the winds He subdues
He gives us faith
when ours we lose.

to a tranquil creek

Solid Gold ~

When God sends,
trials our way
on our knees . . .
we need to pray.

For we will need,
a lot of strength
so to keep fear
at arm’s length.

When God delivers,
what to us is a blow
to the throne of grace
we must at once go.

For we will need,
His mighty power
to get us through
the darkest hour.

When faced with trials,
we need to be bold . . .
as God is turns us
into solid gold!

In The Midst Of A Storm ~

In the midst of a storm,
Jesus is there . . .
He is ready to take
our fear, our care.

He hears our cries,
for His aid and relief
His ready to help us with
our lingering disbelief.

In the middle of the turmoil,
Jesus is waiting . . .
He is able to ease
our apprehensions grating.

He hears our lamenting,
our weeping and wailings
for He understands . . .
our weaknesses and failings.

In the midst of a storm,
Jesus is right there . . .
in the center of its eye
He hears our every prayer!

The trials of your faith,

causing you to lose . . .

there’s something profound
God wants to teach you.

The trials of your faith,
can be hot and furious
making you to think . . .
to God your oblivious.

But, every fiery test,
God permits through
remember into gold
He is refining you.

God is preparing you,
when your faith is tried
for when Jesus returns . . .
one day for His bride!

now that I see blue skies
now that the ocean holds
the bounty of my cries.

I now know Jesus,

We’re In This Boat Together ~

I’m riding out these waves,
no matter how big they get
I will stick out this storm
and over it I’ll not fret.

For, Jesus is with me,
we’re in this boat together . . .
and He has promised to me
any storm we could weather.

As the winds barrel down,
I’m going to coast along
they’ll not blow me away
regardless of how strong.

For, Jesus is my Anchor,
onto Him I’ll keep my hold
for, we’re in this boat together
