God Has His Best For You ~

God knows your needs,
He sees your desires
He knows when fear
inflames doubt’s fires.

God understands,
the conditions you’re under
He hears your thirst
He knows of your hunger.

God hears your pleas,
He listens to your cries
He knows you have
some unanswered why’s.

God understands,
the situation you’re in
He knows you need
to hear back from Him.

God has your best,
interests at heart
so wait and be still
until them He imparts!

all your need according
to his riches in glory
by Christ Jesus.”

Look Not ~

Look not to the past,
don’t stop and turn your head
instead look to the future
with Jesus up ahead.

Don’t reminisce,
on that which is already done
rather let your heart
to Jesus be eternally drawn.

Look not to the past,
remember not your regrets
instead look to the future
and the soon coming events.

Don’t agonize,
over what once gave you pleasure
rather let your mind
dwell on your heavenly treasure.

Look not to the past,
don’t look to where you’ve been
instead look onto the cross . . .
and the washing of your sin!

~~~~~~~~
Philippians 3:13-14
“Brethren, I count not myself
to have apprehended:
but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things
which are behind,
and reaching forth unto
those things which are before,
I press toward the mark
for the prize of the high
calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Pit Dwelling ~
When in the pits,
don’t stay there
get right out
so not to despair.
For pit dwelling,
will cause bitterness
and God’s blessings
you’ll surely miss.
When in the dumps,
don’t stay down
pull yourself out
lest in pity you drown.
For dump diving,
is a pit’s best friend
and is no place God
wants you to spend.
When in the pits
or down in the dumps
let your praise to God
give your faith a jump!
~~~~~~

Psalm 40:2

“He brought me up also out
of an horrible pit, out
of the miry clay,
and set my feet upon a rock,
and established my goings.”

Life Is Like A Road Trip ~

Life is like a road trip,
a long winding excursion
requiring from us
lots of physical exertion.

But we often get,
mentally fatigued
and need a rest stop
so to be relieved.

Jesus is that stop,
the oasis of our hope
where living waters fill us
with the strength to cope.

Life is a lengthy journey,
each one of us is on it
and the wear and tear
can drag down our spirit.

We get exhausted,
from the grit and grind
and we need a brake
for our heart and mind.

Jesus is that break,
it’s in Him we find rest
a perfect place to stop . . .
when weary or stressed!

~~~~~~~
Isaiah 57:10
“Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way;
yet saidst thou not, There is no hope:
thou hast found the life of thine hand;
therefore thou wast not grieved.”
Matthew 11:29
“Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly
in heart: and ye shall
find rest unto your souls.
Jesus Prays For Us ~
When my words,
I cannot form
and to God my pleas
I cannot inform.
That’s when Jesus,
steps right in
with moans coming
from deep within.
When I can’t even,
begin to pray
all though I have
a lot to say.
That’s when Jesus,
for me advocates
and my prayers to God
He formulates.
When my words,
can’t form my needs
that’s when Jesus . . .
for me intercedes!
and one mediator
between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus;”
Dust Dry ~
On days when I feel,
my faith is dust dry
when my spirit withers
as if it were to die.
I pick up my Bible,
to breathe some life back
into this soul of mine
for the hope that I lack.
On days when I feel,
my faith is desert dry
when the strength in me
takes a parched sigh.
Into the Word of God,
I quickly take a dive
and let the Holy Spirit
my very own revive.
On days when I feel,
an oncoming drought
I use God’s Word to shake
the dust off my doubt!
My soul cleaveth unto the dust:
quicken thou me according to thy word.
Lean ~
Some days when I feel,
I’ve lost faith’s composure
I stop and lean closer
on my Savior’s shoulder.
I lay my head there,
letting it rest for a while
until my trust in Him
I once again compile.
Some days when I feel,
tired and down right beat
I stop and lean closer
to my Savior’s feet.
It’s there were I lay,
my burden and my care
until unto my hope
I’m again made aware.
Some days when I feel,
I’m about to fall apart . . .
I stop and lean closer
to my Savior’s heart!
“Trust in the Lord
with all thine heart;
and lean not unto
thine own understanding.”
Faithful Is He ~
Jesus will do it,
He is faithful
He wants you to be
to Him grateful.
Jesus will fulfill it,
He is loyal
He will help you
through your trial.
Jesus will perform it,
He is dependable
so don’t you fret
He is reliable
Jesus will deliver it,
He is committed
He wants you to Him
fully submitted.
Jesus will do it,
He is trustworthy
in every single thing
He is praiseworthy!
who also will do it.”
Jesus Never Tires ~
Sometimes it’s hard,
to give Jesus our care
sometimes with Him
it’s difficult to share.
But, when we let go of,
our worldly concern
He will give to us
His peace in return.
Sometimes it’s not easy
spending time praying
sometimes it feels no one
hears what your saying.
But, when we release,
what weighs on our heart
Jesus in return for it
more grace will impart.
Sometimes it’s hard,
to give Jesus our care
but, He never tires of . . .
listening when we share!
for he careth for you.”
The Compassion of Jesus ~
The compassion of Jesus,
in all of its fullness . . .
is yours if you’ll grasp
onto all of His goodness.
For it is full of pity,
and loving concern
its merciful and gracious
asks naught in return.
It’ll give you confidence,
support you when weak
its healing and calming
gentle, caring and meek.
It comforts the bereaved,
it feeds the hungry
brings daily refreshment
to those who are thirsty.
It provides the rest,
for minds that agonize
with hearts laden down
it sees and sympathies.
The compassion of Jesus,
and all of its richness . . .
is yours to claim today
in all of its fullness!
Matthew 9:36
“But when he saw the multitudes,
he was moved with compassion on them,
because they fainted, and were scattered
abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.”
When All Seems Dark ~
I know right now,
all seems so dark . . .
and you’re not sure
just where to start.
The news you got,
wasn’t very good
your mind is stuck
on the if’s and could’s.
But, God’s got this,
He knows what to do
and His wisdom
will surely come to you.
I know right now,
all seem so bleak
answers to questions
are all you seek.
So much uncertainty,
right now to face
too many decision
you need to embrace.
But, Jesus is there,
right now with you
to help and show you
what you need to do.
I know right now,
it seems dark tonight
but, tomorrow you’ll see
things better in His light!
Where’s Your Cross ~
Where is your cross,
did you forget it somewhere
did you put it down
was it just too heavy to bear?
Where did your cross go,
did you leave it behind
was it too big of a burden
for your heart and mind?
Where is your cross,
did you cast is aside
did you think in Jesus
it was too hard to abide?
Where did you discard it,
did it become an obstacle
was continuing to carry it
becoming for you impossible?
Where is your cross,
when will you retrieve it?
For it is your very soul . . .
that without it, you’ll forfeit!
~~~~~~~~~~~

Matthew 16:24-26

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples,
If any man will come after me,
let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life
shall lose it: and whosoever
will lose his life for my sake
shall find it.

For what is a man profited,
if he shall gain the whole world,
and lose his own soul?
or what shall a man give
in exchange for his soul?”

Jesus Is Always There ~

Everyone has anxiety,
all have fraying nerves
everyone is fidgety
when thrown, a life curve.

Everyone needs to hear,
someone will always care
all need to know Jesus . . .
their every burden, will bear.

Everyone is worried,
all are edgy and jittery
everyone has troubles
hardships and misery.

Everyone needs to be told,
about God’s saving grace
all need in their hearts
His peace to embrace.

Everyone is restless,
all have turmoil and strife
everyone is overwhelmed
by the sudden storms of life.

Everyone needs a Friend,
someone with whom to share
all need to know Jesus  . . .
is the One, who’s always there!

Into The Furnace ~

Sometimes the furnace,
we all have go into
so God can refine
restore and renew.

He will light the fires,
to chasten our soul
until we are willing
to give Him control.

He’ll turn up the heat,
till our sin is magnified
so our hearts can be
cleansed and purified.

He’ll add to the fire,
more fuel if needed
so that to His will
our life is heeded.

So if you find yourself,
in the fiery furnace . . .
more precious then gold
you’ll be, when you surface!

but not with silver;
I have chosen thee in
the furnace of affliction.

A Godly Intervention ~

Sometimes God,
has to do some afflicting
so our stubborn hearts
He can begin softening.

For, He wants to remove,
the hardness deep inside
so there will be the room
for Him to fully abide.

Sometimes God,
brings about suffering
so our prideful minds
He can start uncovering.

For, He wants to rid us,
of our self-centeredness
so we’ll have self-restraint
filled with temperateness.

Sometimes God,
has to get our attention
so with our stubborn hearts
He calls for intervention!

Lord, Be Not Far From Me ~

Lord, be not far from me,
be not faraway . . .
come close and hold me
be one with me today.

Lord, be not removed,
be not from me too far
come close and lead me
be my bright guiding star.

Lord, be not remote,
be not from me far apart
come close and help me
be with me in soul and heart.

Lord, be not far or distant,
be not from me isolated
come close and guide me
let us never be separated.

Lord, be not faraway,
be not from me afar
come close and take me . . .
right to where You are!

~~~~~~~~~~
Psalm 27:9
put not thy servant away in anger:
thou hast been my help;
In Jesus’ Loving Arms ~
Lord, come comfort me today,
I need to feel Your arms
shielding and protecting me
from all that hurts and harms.
Take away this unrest,
filling my heart and my soul
come to me with Your arms
ready to soothe and console.
Lord, come give me solace,
peace and encouragement
today in Your loving arms
let me find nourishment.
Remove my anxiety,
relieve me from my fear
in Your waiting arms
draw me close and near.
Lord, come comfort me today,
hold me in Your embrace
renew in me the hope . . .
of Your undying grace!
~~~~~~~

Matthew 11:29-30

and learn of me;
for I am meek
and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find
rest unto your souls.

and my burden is light.”

That Weighted Down Feeling ~

Carrying a heavy load,
shoulders getting weak
is the weight of your worries
causing your knees to creak?

Problems mounting up,
in way over your head
is the weight of your cares
turning your feet into lead?

Anxiety has your heart,
missing a beat or two
is the weight of your stress
weighing on your mind too?

Well, I have a cure,
for that weighted down feeling
one that will bring to you . . .
peace, hope and healing.

On Jesus cast your cares,
and your anxieties too
for, with His strength
He will empower you!

comforts delight my soul.”

The Heart-Felt Cry ~

God hears your cries,
He hears your pleas
He is aware of . . .
your cares and needs.

He knows when you are,
feeling out and down
He knows you need
to sense He’s around.

So, if you’re hurting,
thinking God doesn’t care
believe me I know . . .
to your pain He’s aware.

For I have been,
just where you are
convincing myself
God from me was afar.

But, I have found this to be,
one of satan’s lies
for, God promises to hear
our heart-felt cries!

~~~~~~~
“In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him,
even into his ears.
Days Without Rain ~
God didn’t promise us,
days without any rain
times when we’d have
no suffering or pain.
But, He did promise us,
He’d always be there
to carry our burdens
and to ease our care.
God didn’t promise us,
skies constantly blue
nor that thunderous storms
in our lives wouldn’t brew.
But, He did promise us,
the grace to endure
His wings as a shelter
to keep us secure.
God didn’t promise us,
life would be pain-free
but, He did promise us . . .
through it all, He would be!
~~~~~~~~~~~

Matthew 5:45

“That ye may be the children
of your Father which is
in heaven: for he maketh
his sun to rise on the evil
and on the good, and sendeth
rain on the just
and on the unjust.”

So Many Needs ~

So many needs,
so many cares
causing His sheep
so much despair.

When will they seek,
when will they come
to the One who will
bear every one?

So many problems,
so many concerns
causing His sheep
thoughts to churn.

When will they know,
when will they find
Jesus is waiting
to comfort their mind?

So many doubts,
so many questions
causing His sheep
bouts of depression.

When will they see,
when will they hear
Jesus is wanting
to calm their fear?

So many defeated,
so many gone astray
so many we can lead . . .
back to Jesus today!

~~~~~~~
Isaiah 53:6
“All we like sheep
have gone astray;
we have turned
every one to
his own way;
and the Lord
hath laid on him
the iniquity of us all.”
Oh, My Anxious Child ~
One day I asked the Lord,
what is it I should do . . .
how can I possibly give
all my cares to You?
He said to me my child,
it’s easy if you will . . .
believe I am the One
who can your troubles still.
I thought this over,
for a minute or two
but, I still needed Him
to tell me just how to.
So I asked Him again,
Lord, how can I release
the burdens I carry
so I can have Your peace?
He said to me my child,
true rest you will find
if you let Me guard
your heart and your mind.
I knew the Lord was right,
so I began to pray
and when I was done
here’s what He had to say . . .
Be not anxious my child,
but in every thing by prayer
give me your thanksgiving
and I’ll take from you your care!
~~~~~~~~~

Philippians 4:6-7

” Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing
by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving
let your requests
be made known unto God.

And the peace of God,
which passeth
all understanding,
shall keep your
hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.”

Perhaps ~

Sometimes I look,
but I don’t always see
the plans God has
awaiting just for me.

Perhaps I’m too busy,
focusing on my pain
or maybe it’s in my life
there’s been so much rain.

Sometimes I find myself,
wrap up in just me
that God purposes
are just too hard to see.

Perhaps I’m spending,
too much time away
from the Word of God
to see what He’s to say.

Sometimes to be honest,
I worry way too much
and I remain blind  . . .
to Jesus’ healing touch!

~~~~~~~~
Matthew 9:27-29
“And when Jesus departed thence,
two blind men followed him,
crying, and saying,
Thou son of David, have mercy on us.
And when he was come
into the house, the blind men
came to him: and Jesus saith
unto them, Believe ye that I am
able to do this?
They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
Then touched he their eyes, saying,
According to your faith be it unto you.”
