Waiting Till God Answers ~

When not sure of what to do,
and God hasn’t answered you
when you’re feeling down and out
and you’re full of fear and doubt.

That’s the time you need to look,
for His promises in the Good Book
you’ll find the remedy for your needs
when to His Word your spirit heeds.

When you’re troubles take over you,
and worry surrounds all you do
when you’re down and feeling sad
and your anxieties mount and add.

That’s the time you need to pray,
asking the Lord to lead the way
He will show you where to go
and His directions you will know.

When you need answered prayer,
be still as you wait to hear
for God promises with His eye
to make for you the way clear!

Water’s Troubling ~

I’ve been through water’s troubling,
in the turbulence of my mind
I’ve been tossed and shaken
by thoughts of every kind.

I’ve been blown all around,
in this whirlwind called life . . .
I’ve been in many storms
leaving me full of strife.

I’ve been through tumultuous times,
that were lengthy and prolonged
I’ve been through mind twisters
where anxious thoughts spawned.

I’ve been in deep dark waters,
with no sure way to get out
I’ve been in Satan’s cesspool
filled with dread, fear and doubt.

I’ve been through water’s troubling,
of every type and every kind . . .
but, Jesus has been the bridge
guarding my heart and mind!

Storms Are Just A Part of Life ~

Storms are a part of life,
it’s just the way it goes . . .
and often we get tossed
by the wind as it blows.

We need to remain calm,
so we’re not blown about
otherwise we’ll be thrown
into the sea of doubt.

Storms can sneak up on us,
leaving us blind-sided
and often our trust in God
becomes misguided.

We need to remain faithful,
on Jesus keep our eyes
lest through the storm
we’ll fall for satan’s lies.

Storms are part of life,
it’s just the way it goes . . .
but we know God controls
just where the wind blows!

Be Still Until ~

When waiting on the Lord,
to answer your prayer . . .
don’t become discouraged
instead rest in His care.

When seeking His response,
for your wants and needs
don’t become depressed
be at peace til He leads.

When God is quiet,
but you heart isn’t so
don’t become worried
instead let His mercy flow.

When looking for a word,
to help show the way
don’t become disheartened
but, let joy fill your day.

When waiting on the Lord,
be still until . . . .
He shows to you
what is His perfect will!

Sometimes troubles come,
changing all our plans . . .
making it ever clearer
all things are in God’s hands.

Hands that long to hold,
to comfort and to console
hands that want to heal
the ache within the soul.

hands that hold perfect peace
for fearful ones to find.

Hands that crave to embrace,

Eternal Peace ~

We live in pressurized world,
we’re always under stress
but, we who rely on God
onward strain and press.

We’re hassled on every side,
pushed around and shoved
but, we who hope in Jesus
know how much we are loved.

We feel the weight of the world,
come crashing down on us
but, those of us who believe
always in God put their trust.

We’re fatigued over hearing,
daily all the horrific news
but, we who have faith in Jesus
joy over fear we will choose.

We live in a pressurized world,
the stress never seems to cease
but, we who trust in the Lord
will have eternal peace!

Hat Juggling ~

We all wear various hats,
of miscellaneous kinds
we all have certain roles
tossing around in our minds.

But, when for the Lord,
we perform our tasks
He’ll help us balance them
when for His help we ask.

We all wear assorted hats,
of differing forms
we all have vast duties
each day we perform.

But, when for the Lord,
our commitments we fill
He will help us juggle them
with the strength to do His will

We all wear varying hats,
of different sorts and sizes
and in the end the Crown of Life
will be the one we prize!

My Crown of Glory and Honor ~

Lord, You gave me a crown,
of Your glory and honor
to wear on my head
while here on earth I labor.

But, often it slips,
right over my eyes
and I come up short
going for the prize.

As I push it back,
to it is proper place
I dash right back out
to keep going in the race.

But, sometimes I feel,
it only shows me down
and I question if it is
for me the right crown.

Child, I have given you,
My crown of glory to wear
but, keeping it on . . .
is not yours alone to bear.

If you want your crown,
to stay in its correct place
it needs to be secured . . .
by My mercy, love and grace!

Enduring The Storm ~

Though the storm outside,
is swirling all about . . .
inside of me there’s not
one single drop of doubt.

For, I know God’s in control,
of the thunder overhead
and there isn’t anything
for me to fear or dread.

The winds may be gusting,
tearing things apart
but, there’s a calming breeze
sweeping through my heart.

For, I know God’s out there,
keeping His eyes on things
and He will give me the strength
to endure the storms He brings.

I do not know just how long,
this storm is going to last
but, my faith will keep me trusting
until its final blast!
