There’s No Fear Today ~
There is no fear,
of God today . . .
there’s no concern
for judgment day.
There’s no despair,
about hell today
there’s just too many
on the wide way.
There’s no dread,
over evil today
there’s not a soul
satan can’t sway.
There’s no turning,
from sin today
there’s so few left
on the straight way.
There’s no fear,
of God today . . .
but there’ll be trembling
come judgment day!

knowledge: but fools
despise wisdom
and instruction.

United ~
When God teaches you,
the truth He will show
and the things of His will
you will want to know.
When God in His Word,
begins to guide you
you’ll want godly conduct
in the things that you do.
When God teaches you,
how to walk on His way
you will choose carefully
the things that you say.
When God gives directions,
to the Cross it will lead
there you’ll find Jesus
and the grace to be freed.
When God teaches you,
of His power and might . . .
He’ll fill you with holy fear
and your hearts will unite!

Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name.

Godly Fear ~
It’s a good thing,
to have Godly fear
trembling is fine . . .
for it keeps God near.
Fear produces hatred,
of self-righteousness
it will help us to see
our own piousness.
Fear fills us with disgust,
for the evil things we do
it shows us what’s wrong
with the things we pursue.
Fear keeps our tongues,
from being perverted
blasphemy from our lips
it’ll keep from being blurted.
Fear keeps our hearts,
from turning rebellious
it will help us to take
God’s hate for sin serious.
It’s a good thing,
to keep God near
trembling is fine . . .
for sin we should fear!

pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way,
and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Eternally Grateful ~
Oh, Lord when I mediate,
on Your tender mercy . . .
my heart for You becomes
ever-more thirsty.
I want to drink in,
all of Your compassion . . .
I want to bottle up
each drop of Your passion.
Oh, Lord when I ponder,
on Your abundant grace . . .
I cannot, but help to fall
down on my thankful face.
Not out of shame,
but, out of respect and fear
for, Your eternal love for me
makes my eyes well and tear.
Oh, Lord when I concentrate,
on Your faithfulness . . .
my hearts swells for you
with eternal gratefulness!

Psalm 100:4-5
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.

Holy Fear ~
Lord, fill my soul with holy fear,
that’s reverent and awe-inspiring
let my faith grow in knowledge
till my life ~ is of Your desiring.
Teach me about Your wisdom,
instruct me where I can find
the understanding of Your power
so it can fill my heart and mind.
Help me to live my life,
in submission and compliance
let me look unto Your Word
for spiritual thought and guidance.
Lord, fill my soul with holy fear,
with awe-inspiring reverence
so that I may come to You . . .
with awe-inspiring temperance!
