Oh, To Know God’s Goodness ~

Oh, to know Your goodness,
Your holiness and grace
to have within my very reach
Your strength to embrace.

Then I shall never doubt,
or fall into dreaded fear
then I shall know what it’s like
to have You always near.

Oh, to understand Your anger,
Your judgments and Your wrath
to seize upon the truth
that leads to Your holy path.

Then I’d mount up on wings,
and like an eagle I’d fly and soar
then I would take off to heaven
and enter thru salvation’s door.

Oh, to find Your perfect rest,
from the weariness deep within
to find Your calm that settles me
when my life is in a tailspin.

Then I shall not be tossed,
by every wave or stormy gust
then I would find my Savior . . .
telling me in Him to always trust!

Lord, Help Us To Run

If I Were More Like My Master ~

If I were more like my Master . . .
I’d walk miles in the sand
just to lend someone
a helping, loving hand.

I’d be compassionate and kind,
gracious and merciful too
I’d give godly instructions
and show them what to do.

I’d calm down the waves,
walk on the turbulent sea
I’d encourage others to have
the faith to follow after me.

I’d see the lost and unsaved,
all the hungry people to feed
I would let them all know . . .
salvation was what they need.

I’d travel to every city,
spread the Good News around
I’d speak of Jesus’ forgiveness
how new life can be found.

If I were more like my Master . . .
I’d have a spirit of servitude
humility and meekness
would be my constant attitude!

I Know God’s Name ~

I know God’s name
tis why I truly believe

I’m Completely Convinced ~

I am convinced I belong to God,
that nothing can separate us
I am sure and I am confident . . .
and so in Him I put all my trust.

The True Light ~

The true light of the season,
isn’t wrapped around our trees
the true light of the season
isn’t hanging from our eaves.

The true light of the season,
isn’t put up, only once a year
the true light of the season
isn’t part of our Christmas gear.

The true light of the season,
never burns out or blows a fuse
the true light of the season
isn’t part of the holiday ruse.

The true light of the season,
cannot be put away or stored
for, the true light of the season
is the Babe, the Christ, our Lord.

Jesus, is the world’s light,
all darkness, He came to diffuse
and love, hope, peace and joy
in your life He wants to infuse!

It’s All About Jesus ~

It’s not about the disease,
or the sickness in your soul
it’s about the Healer . . .
making your heart whole.

It’s not about the problem,
or the crisis you are in
it’s about the Deliverer . . .
forgivingyour every sin.

It’s not about the burden,
or the weight of the load
it’s about the Comforter . . .
helping you down the road.

It not about the worries,
or the fears in your head
it’s about the Lord . . .
and being Holy Spirit led.

It’s not about the troubles,
or the difficulties that impede
it’s about the Savior . . .
knowing your every need.

or the seas that are raging

One Day ~

One day every knee shall bow,
before Jesus, the King of Kings
one day every person will face
the judgment that He brings.

One day every mouth will confess,
Jesus is the Lord over every nation
one day God will get His due glory
for being the Author of all creation.

One day those who have loved Him,
will offer Him songs of praise
one day those who have refused Him
will account for their evil ways.

One day every person in the world,
will bow down and confess
Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior
every tongue, His name will profess.

One day Jesus will come again,
to rule and set up His Kingdom
one day the world will know peace

My Confidence ~ My Hope

My confidence is in the Lord,
for I know He cares for me
I place my hope in Him
not in the things, I can see.

He protects and shelters me,
in His goodness with His grace
with Him any problem
I’m able to confidently face.

for wisdom and for some rest
for He knows what I need
has for me only the best.

I am so very happy,
for in the Lord I have peace
His compassion never fails me

Just Passing Through ~

I am but a stranger,
to the world, I am freak
they treat me unjustly
call me lame and weak.

They think I am weird,
they laugh at me and say
“She thinks that to God
there is only one way.”

They tell me that Jesus,
was just a carpenter
a nice guy who once lived
to them, He’s a foreigner.

But Jesus is my Lord,
to God He is the only way
though they laugh and scoff
whenever, this I say.

They believe many roads,
will lead them to heaven
and so to God’s Word
their ears are deafened.

I am but a stranger,
an outsider passing through
a homeless refugee . . .
keeping Jesus in my view!

Grace Sufficient ~

My grace is sufficient,
I have all you’ll ever need
when your deficiencies
to Me, you willingly cede.

My strength is in you,
just give me your flaws

lead you with My laws.

if your imperfections

Teach The Little Children ~

Teach the little children,
while they are still young
to give thanks to the Lord
in every song that is sung.

Teach them to pray,
for the Holy Spirit’s filling
tell them that it is more
than just a onetime feeling.

Teach them to read and study,
how God would have them go
let them know in His Word
the way He will always show.

Teach them to understand,
for them, God has a plan
let them know it’s not the same
as the world has for man.

Teach them to respect,
themselves and others too
remind them God is looking
at what they say and do.

Teach them to set their sights,
on their heavenly treasures
not the ones here on earth
reeking of worldly pleasures.

Teach them to love God,
with all their heart and soul
let them know Jesus died
so they’d be complete and whole.

Teach them not just on Sundays,
but each and everyday . . .
just how narrow is the gate
so their tender hearts won’t stray.

My Comforter ~

I have me a companion,
a Friend that is constant
someone who will come
to my aid in an instant.

Someone I can lean on,
when I need to be soothed
someone I can trust
when I need the truth.

Someone who will cry,
right along with me
someone who understands
my deepest, soulful need.

Someone who is strong,
whenever I am weak
someone who brings joy
whenever I feel bleak.

His Spirit as my Helper
and I always run to Him
whenever I need shelter!

What if There Was No CHRISTmas ~

What if there was no CHRISTmas,
no Babe lying in the manger
what if the Savior wasn’t born
to heal the world’s hurt and anger?

There would be no Good Friday,
no Palm Sunday or Resurrection Day
there would be no souls to show
the Truth, the Light or the Way.

What if there was no CHRISTmas,
no freedom from our strife
no hope or any anticipation
of having a blissful eternal life?

There would be no everlasting joy,
no chance of a never-ending love
there would be no glorious meeting
with our Savior one day above.

What if there was no CHRISTmas,
no trust, no faith, no peace
no virgin birth, no Immanuel
so our pain and tears would cease?

There would be no Prince of Life,
no eternal Lord and King
there would be no motive
for the CHRISTmas songs we sing.

What if Jesus wasn’t born,
on CHRISTmas Day
what then would be the reason
to even celebrate today?

May the blessing of joy abide in you,
and your delight in the Lord be for real

bring others to know God’s perfect will.

and your calm a witness to your belief
may those you greet see the Spirit’s stillness
so they too, will want God’s eternal relief.

May the blessing of love flow through you,
and your adoration for God shine bright
may the praise you have, be heard by all
so they too, can know of God’s saving light.

May the blessing of eternal hope fill you,
and your message of faith be loud and clear
may the truth that lives in your heart
bring others to see their Savior is here.

May the joy, peace, and love of God,
and the hope of the season . . .
be what you share and give to others
in this age of reason!
