Perfect Peace ~

In perfect peace,
God, you keep me
whenever my mind
is stayed on Thee.

For when it roams,
to places dark
everything appears
so bleak and stark.

Restful peace,
God, in you I find
to put to ease
my worried mind.

For when it wanders,
from You far away
my trust too drifts
aimlessly astray.

In perfect peace,
my mind is kept
when God my heart . . .
by Your calm is swept!

Lacking Peace ~

Is there a piece,
of your peace missing
are you hanging onto
anxious, nervous living?

Well perfect love,
will cast out all fear
so when full of dread
just draw Jesus near.

Is there a chunk,
of your serenity absent
is your sense of calm
but a fragment?

Well fix your thoughts,
on the things above
and you will be filled
with His perfect love.

Is there a piece,
of your peace lacking
well, give to God all that is . . .
to you nerve-wracking!

A Place Of Quiet ~

A place of quiet,
is all I need . . .
for me to open
my Bible and read.

No upheaval,
no stir, no confusion
for me to feel . . .
His Spirit’s infusion.

A tranquil place,
is all I desire
so God’s Word
can in me inspire.

No commotion,
no fury, no uproar
just the Good News
for me to explore.

A place serene,
is all I want to find . . .
so the peace of God
can guard my mind!

Keep Jesus In Your Sight ~

Fix your eyes on Jesus,
keep Him in your sight
focus in on the Goodness
radiating from His Light.

Fasten your mind to Jesus,
His Word everyday read
be secure in knowing
He’ll supply your every need.

Attach your heart to Jesus,
cling and cleave to His life
restrain not from giving Him
all of your daily strife.

Adhere your ears to Jesus,
listen to what He has to say
stick to His commandments
and He will guide your day.

Fix your eyes on Jesus,
don’t let Him out of your sight
focus in on His peace . . .
trust Him with all your might!

Anchored in peace,
held down by hope

everyday to cope.

A trust secure,

a rest empowering us

My Hope Doesn’t Disappoint ~

My hope doesn’t disappoint,
it never lets me down
it allows me to keep . . .
both heart and mind sound.

It gives me reasons,
to rejoice and to sing
it encourages me
in the storms life brings.

My hope doesn’t disappear,
it never goes away
it enables me to stay
on the narrow pathway.

It gives me confidence,
equips me for warfare
to satan and his army
it keeps me daily aware.

My hope doesn’t derail,
when trials come to test me
for Lord my hope and trust . . .
I have place in only Thee!

Jesus My Peace ~

Jesus is my Peace,
my hope’s assurance
He is my calm
giving me endurance.

Jesus is my love,
my faith’s objective
He is my purpose
giving me perspective.

Jesus is my anchor,
my trust’s serenity
He is my Rock
giving me tranquility.

Jesus is my Advocate,
my sin absorber
He is my Refuge
giving me a safe harbor.

Jesus is my peace,
my happy ever after
Jesus is to me . . .
all that really matters!

Just Keep Looking Up ~

Things looking a bit dark,
can’t see His light
getting tired of battling
the same old fight?

Spinning in circles,
going round and round
can’t get ahead
feeling more than down?

Can’t catch a break,
no matter what you do
feel as if the whole world
is fighting against you?

Well, you’re not alone,
others feel just like you
but as CHRISTians we know
what we must do . . .

So, look up to the heavens,
put your life in God’s hands
Jesus is your one Friend
who truly understands.

He’s looking out for you,
believe it or not . . .
and if that’s not the truth
then our faith is for naught.

So, don’t stop believing,
don’t you ever give up
for this too shall pass
so, just keep looking up!

Peace Jesus gives,

no matter if . . .
mighty or weak.

For in peace He came,
so we could find
peace to guard and keep
both heart and mind.

Peace Jesus offers,
to all who inquire
if it is truly . . .
their heart’s desire.

For He promises,
peace perfect
to minds on Him
that reflect.

Peace Jesus left,
for all of us
now we must . . .
in this trust!

Peace Imparted ~

Sometimes my mind,
I can’t seem to still
and often my troubles
it begins to fill.

They crawl in and out,
of the deep, dark spaces
but, I won’t allow them to
rob me of God’s grace.

Sometimes my heart,
I can’t seem to quiet
and often my worries
alters its calm climate.

They work their way in,
denying me of my hope
but, I won’t let them steal
the trust I need to cope.

Sometimes from my mind,
my cares drop into my heart
but, Jesus comes to the rescue
and peace again He imparts!

Chilling Out ~

Today, I am chilling,
going to take it easy
not letting my fears
make me feel queasy.

Today, I am relaxing,
got me not a care
for, I took them all
to my Lord in prayer.

Today, I am resting,
letting go of it all
for, into the worry pit
I refuse to fall.

Today, I am slacking,
just Jesus and me
there’s not a doubt
together we will be.

Today I am chilling,
I’ll be easy-going . . .
for with God’s peace
my heart is overflowing!

Peace Perfectly ~

If we’re to have peace,
in our daily life . . .
we need to stay fixed
on God not our strife.

For, hearts that are stayed,
on God’s tranquility
are the hearts trusting
in Him in all totality.

If we’re to have peace,
surpassingly perfectly
our minds must seek Him
with a thirst earnestly.

For minds that are focused,
on God’s serenity
are the minds that believe
in Him in all entirely.

If we want to have peace,
our eyes need to be
steady on God . . .
not on the things we see!
