I’m Choosing Joy ~

Today, I’m choosing joy,
over being depressed
today I am going to be
by gladness obsessed.

I am going to fixate,
on God’s right hand
and the pleasure evermore
for me He has planned.

Today, I’m choosing joy,
over being distressed
today I am going to be
by happiness possessed.

I am going to keep my eyes,
on the thing I can’t see
so that the peace of God
will wash all over me.

over being without any . . .
for the hope I have found
keeps joy flowing plenty!

The wisdom from above,
is full of heavenly things
the true knowledge of God
to the seeker it brings.

it doesn’t cause any pain.

It is full of compassion,

Some people are hanging,
on by a thin thread . . .
for their faith is stuck
inside their stubborn head.

It hasn’t made its way,
into their forgiven heart
that is why their faith
has so many false starts.

Some people are clinging,
onto a fraying rope
that is why their trust
leaves them with no hope.

For they haven’t learn,
to trust God in all things
instead they blame Him
for the storms life brings.

Hard To Be Joyful ~

It’s hard to be joyful,
with uprisings everyday
it’s difficult to see
so many on the wide way.

It’s hard to be happy,
with wars happening
it’s hard to listen to
different sides arguing.

It’s hard to be elated,
as the world is being rocked
it’s tough to be positive
when your beliefs get knocked.

It’s hard to be jubilant,
with so many people dying
