Sowing and Reaping ~

If we are to plant,
we must also water
and trust the growing
to our heavenly Father.

If we want to reap,
we need to sow
and from doing good
weary we can’t grow.

If we want to shout,
with joy and glee
then seeds of faith
we need to set free.

If we want to gather,
fruit for His vine
we need to be patient
loving and kind.

If we want to reap,
there will be pruning
for God the harvest  . . .
is always fine tuning!

~~~~~~
Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary
in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap,
if we faint not.
Psalm 126:6
He that goeth forth and weepeth,
bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless
come again with rejoicing,
bringing his sheaves with him.”
James 5:7
Be patient therefore,
brethren, unto the coming
of the Lord. Behold, the
husbandman waiteth for
the precious fruit of the earth,
and hath long patience for it,
until he receive the early
and latter rain.
Spring’s Sunshine~
Lord, as the buds,
begin to re-form
in Spring’s sunshine
bright and warm.
May I too,
open up to You
to be restored
and made anew.
Lord, as the birds,
take up their song
as in the breeze
they glide along.
May I too,
sing out to You
my song of praise
for all You do.
Lord, as Spring,
blooms and sings . . .
may I too emerge
on faithful wings!
~~~~~~~~

Song of Solomon 2:11-12

“For, lo, the winter is past,
the rain is over and gone;

The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of the singing of birds
is come, and the voice of the turtle
is heard in our land;”

Ripe For the Picking ~

Oh, Lord I can feel,
it’s almost harvest time
and the fields for reaping
are more than prime.

Oh, Lord I can feel,
the coolness of the day
bringing the Good News
that You are on the way.

I can see the crops,
are ripe for the picking
I can hear the clock
speeding up its ticking.

I can see the falling,
of fruit from the True Vine
I can smell the bitterness
of rancid, rotten wine.

Oh, Lord I can feel,
the fields are all but prime
I sense You can return . . .
just about any time!

~~~~~~~
Revelation 14:15
” And another angel came
out of the temple,
crying with a loud voice
to him that sat on the cloud,
Thrust in thy sickle, and reap:
for the time is come for
thee to reap; for the
harvest of the earth is ripe.”
Autumn’s Peace ~
Oh Lord, may this Autumn,
You bring perfect rest
for those who are feeling
weary and hard pressed.
May You send to them,
peace and tranquility
may You bless them too
with hope’s serenity.
Oh Lord, may this Autumn,
Your mercy sprinkle down
on all of those who need
to sense Your calm around.
May you give to them,
a peaceful, settled mind
so that for a season
Your quietness they may find.
Oh Lord, may this Autumn,
bring a needed reprieve
so those who are weary
Your peace can receive!
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you,
my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth,
give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.
We Need A Miracle ~
Lord, on this day of celebration,
of freedom and liberty
I am so sad to see . . .
in our country so much hostility.
It grieves my heart,
to see the hateful division
I cringe at the thought
of the future, I envision.
It sickens my stomach,
when I watch the nightly news
at the violence stemming
from those with opposing views.
I wish we’d come together,
on this night of elation
and see our individual need
for Jesus and salvation.
Lord, on this day of celebration,
we need a healing of our land
for, it will take a true miracle . . .
if united we are to stand!
~~~~~~~~

2 Chronicles 7:14

“If my people,
which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.”

Bursts of Spring ~

Bursts of Spring,
are in the air . . .
tiny glimpses of
days warm and fair.

A tree bud,
a poppy bloom
heals the ache
of winter’s gloom.

Bursts of Spring,
fill my sights
to warm my thoughts
on still cold nights.

A bird’s faint song,
a mostly blue sky
the last snow flake
to float on by.

Little-bitty bursts of Spring,
God is sending  . . .
for it’s the season we need
His loving tending!

Springtime Is In The Air ~

Springtime is in the air,
I can feel its warming trend
though it’s not really here
I know it’s around the bend.

Each day I eagerly await,
for the blessings of Spring
knowing in my weary soul
God will do a new thing.

Springtime is in the air,
I can see its early bloom
melting away the aches
of winter’s chilly gloom.

For Springtime brings,
re-birth and revival
a heart rendering calm
upon its sunny arrival.

Springtime is in the air,
I hope you can feel it too
for it’s God’s promise . . .
the winter soul He’ll renew!

Blanket of Clouds ~

the-blanket-of-clouds-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Lord, thank You for the blanket,
of clouds today . . .
they are helping to melt
all the snow away.

The temperature is rising,
it’s almost above freezing
and now to my comforter
I’ll not have to be squeezing.

It still is cold outside,
but, for now I am thankful
all the snow is thawing
even though it’s beautiful.

I know Winter  just began,
but, I still can’t wait for Spring
so I’ll be counting the days
till daily warmth You bring.

Lord, thank You for the blanket,
of warming clouds today . . .
as to its melting all the snow
I say hallelujah and hooray!

~~~~~~~~~
Psalm 147:16-18
“He giveth snow like wool:
he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
He casteth forth his ice like morsels:
who can stand before his cold?
He sendeth out his word,
and melteth them: he causeth
his wind to blow,
and the waters flow.”
Son Bursts ~
son-bursts-christian-poetry-bydeborah-ann
Son light bursts,
through Autumn leaves
bringing rays of hope
to all who believe.
Light glowing down,
on the Truth and Way
Autumn time blooms
of a more restful day.
Son beams bursts,
into a golden hue
flickers of God’s glory
come glistening through.
The radiance reveals,
the light of one Man
unveiling the way
to salvation’s plan.
Son rays bursts,
through Autumn trees
peaceful reminders
of things awaiting me!
Hebrews 1:3
“Who being the brightness
of his glory, and the
and upholding all things
by the word of his power,
when he had by himself
purged our sins,
Just Around the Corner ~
just-around-the-corner-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
Fall’s just around the corner,
I can feel it in the air . . .
cooler days and colder nights
will soon be Autumn’s fare.
The trees will start the magic,
of displaying their true beauty
just as if they knew . . .
it was their Autumn duty.
The flowers will begin to fade,
loosing their summer hue
as Autumn fingers spread
they’ll soon curl out of view.
The children’s outside laughter,
will slowly faint away . . .
as Autumn is their signal
there’s no more summer play.
Autumn is around the corner,
soon it will put on Fall’s vest
as God ushers in the season
bountiful with peace and rest!
hath dealt bountifully with thee.”
God’s Finger Painting ~
God's FInger Painting ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
I love when God,
starts to finger paint
Autumn’s glorious colors
with no holds or restraint.
The colors splash about,
vibrant shades of orange-red
mingled with shiny slivers
of brilliant golden thread.
The streets begin to smear,
with crispy yellow leaves
as they do their wind dance
to moonless roads they cleave.
As the rain begins to fall,
the colors appear to run
smeared across the horizon
now hidden by the sun.
I love when God,
fingers begin their painting
they remind me of the glory
He has for me awaiting!
Spring’s Hope ~
Spring's Hope ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
May this Spring,
bathe you in God’s light
so you can receive
the power of His might.
May Springs warmth,
make God’s mercy rise
so that to His ways
you’ll not compromise.
May Springs buds,
blossom in your heart
so from God’s path
you will never part.
May Springs song,
chime within your soul
so that your life
God can have control.
May the new life,
Spring always brings
cause you to be . . .
thankful for all things!
Spring’s Treat ~
Springtime Treat ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Springtime is,
such a treat . . .
rays of hope
now daily greet.
Sunny days,
now on the rise
fragrance tickles
nose and eyes
Spring’s melody,
ears now hear
the song it sings
now in full gear.
Spring brings.
such delight
bathing souls
in healing light.
Springtime is,
such a treat . . .
promising to all
a warm retreat!
Good Morning Spring ~
Good Morning Spring ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Good morning Spring,
I’m so glad you’re here
with the sweet melodies
you sing into my ear.
I am so thankful,
for your sunny rays
for the fragrant blooms
you drift along my way.
Good morning Spring,
I have missed you so
thank you for easing
winter’s every woe.
Thank you for leaving,
a carpet of warmness
for letting me soak up
your peaceful calmness.
Good morning Spring,
I’m so glad God sent you
for you are the season
He uses to renew!
Thankful for Spring ~
Thankful for Spring ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
 Lord thank You,
for Springtime
for the harmony
heard on its chime.
For the renewal,
of the early rain
for the healing
of winter’s pain.
Lord thank You,
for Spring’s flight
for the retreat
of its early light.
For the warmth,
it lazily brings
for the melody
heard on its wings.
Lord thank You,
for Spring’s gift
for giving my face . . .
a needed Son lift!
Autumn’s Greeting~
Autumn Greetings ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
When Autumn comes to greet me,
God’s beauty is all I see . . .
trees once draped with green leaves
now wear their golden sleeves.
As Autumn’s days get shorter,
and the nights turn much colder
its full splendor begins to burst
and in its wonder, I’m immersed.
Autumn’s splendid grandeur,
turns me into a scenic voyeur
I find myself taking to the streets
to crush, crispy colored treats.
As Autumn breezes blow,
its like watching a ballet show
leaves spinning all around . . .
toes twirling on the ground.
Autumn paints a lovely picture,
reminding me of the scripture
it is to God ~ we must cleave
unlike the changing leaves!
Unchangeable ~
UNCHAGEABLE ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
As Autumn shows its colors,
as it releases its golden hue
I am reminded why it is Lord
l’m so much in love with You.
As I watch the season change,
You my Lord, remain the same
I’m reminded of Your glory
when I say Your blessed name.
As Autumn’s breezes come,
trees shed their brilliant leaves
I am reminded just how much
in You Lord,  I trust and believe.
As  the first rains begin to fall,
causing rivers to rise and flood
I am reminded of my safe harbor
under Your Son’s precious blood.
The seasons they all are varied,
but Autumn is ever changeable
Lord,  I love it most because  . . .
it reminds me, You’re unchangeable!
How Far Will the Harvest Go ~
Harvest Season ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ photo wikipedia
How long will the fields be ready,
how far will the harvest go . . .
how much longer will we reap?
None of us, will ever know.
But, we must continue to toil,
to sow, water and to feed . . .
we must be willing to continue
to plant for God, the Good seed.
No one said it’s an easy job,
this sowing and gathering
for it takes a lot to keep . . .
wayward seeds from scattering.
But, if we want a full crop,
one that will yield a rich return
we need to save the scattered
less they might be left to burn.
We must keep protecting,
the fields from all disease
even if each sower . . .
has to get down on their knees.
How far will the harvest go,
only the Good Lord knows
and it is our job and duty . . .
to see that His harvest grows!
~~~~~~~~~

John 4:35

“Say not ye, There are yet four months,
and then cometh harvest? behold,
I say unto you, Lift up your eyes,
and look on the fields; for they are
white already to harvest.”

Fall’s Refresing Rain ~

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~ letitrain IBible Verses

I love when God sends,
Fall’s first refreshing rain
to wash away the grime
on my soul’s windowpane.

It helps me to see,
over summers hot break
the dryness that’s within. . .
changes, I need to make.

I study the dust settling,
atop my old, trusty Bible
shaking it off, I am ready
for a Holy Spirit revival.

The  showers bring about,
a renewal in my heart
restoring my faith and hope
before, winters chilly start.

I love when God sends,
Fall’s first refreshing rain
so in my heart and soul
Jesus, can settle in again!

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Isaiah 45:8
“Drop down, ye heavens, from above,
and let the skies pour down righteousness:
let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation,
and let righteousness spring up together;
I the Lord have created it.”
Cleaning Up This Temple!
All things New by Michael McFatridge free photo #11721
This Spring ~
I’m doing me some cleaning,
I’m getting rid of sin’s pollution
and the Word of God will be
my cleansing solution.
Going to go down deep,
scour the cracks and crevices
make sure there’s no hidden sin
still lurking around the premises.
I’ll need to wash away the grime,
the remaining filth and stain
need to scrub through and through
no matter how much the pain.
This Spring ~
I’m doing me some cleaning,
I’m clearing out this temple
and Jesus is going to be . . .
my only living example!
which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
The Blessings of Spring ~
The Blessings of Spring ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
~ The Blessings of Spring ~
There are many blessings,
that each new Spring brings
you can see it bloom about
and hear the song it sings.
With winters bleakness over,
and brighter days ahead
comes promises of new life
Springtime loves to spread.
As God unfolds the flowers,
and their buds begin to show
He gives to us the assurance
grace in our hearts will grow.
He sends us the robin’s song,
with the promise to provide
a shelter under His mighty wing
where in His love we can abide.
He melts the snowy covers,
and sends the refreshing rain
sprinkling us with His mercies
to heal winter’s ache and pain.
God’s given to all His Son,
to shed upon us a new light
and the real blessing of Spring . . .
is keeping Jesus in our sight!
Song of Solomon 2: 11-12
Winter’s End ~
The Yard used with permission Creation Swap
Lord, I look out my window,
gray skies are all I see
if I were to go outside the wind
would blow right through me.
Rain, sleet and hail,
are beating at my door
I don’t think this nasty weather
I can handle too much more.
Lord, the snow is getting old,
it’s time to retire the blower
please don’t let the temperature
get down too much lower.
Snowmen are fun to make,
snow angels can be a blast
but how much longer do You plan
for this winter chill to last?
Lord, I pray You’ll soon end,
this frozen winter slumber . . .
because, I don’t think my hands
can get any more ~ number!
On the Eaves of Winter ~
Red Cardnal in Winter used with permission Creation Swap by Kevin Carden
On the eaves of winter,
hangs depression and gloom
where my thoughts drip of Spring
and the sights of its bloom.
I can hardly wait,
for these cold days to be gone
so I can rise with the robin
and listen to Springtime’s song.
On the dawn of Spring,
are the shadows of new life
putting an end to the bitter chill
and the ache of winter’s strife.
Spring is just around the corner
but I’m not sure if I can wait
and I pray every day to God . . .
“Oh, please don’t let Spring be late!”
