Gracious Gratitude ~

Not just on Thanksgiving,
but every day of the year
give God your heartfelt praise
and it’ll bring your heart cheer.

For when we are thankful,
the entire year through
joy will flood our souls
spilling over in all we do.

Every minute of the day,
thank God for His grace
every second you’re alive
praise His holy face.

Give Him your thanksgiving,
with a heart that’s forthright
and in the eyes of the Lord
you’ll be a pleasing delight.

So, everyone let’s show God,
our gracious gratitude . . .
today and all year through
have a thankful attitude!

Spiritual renewal,
abounding in trust
a time in God . . .
for a deeper trust.

Knowing His will,
being thankful
telling Him why

lights ever shinning

in Christ being a part
a revival of both . . .

Forever Thankful ~

I’m thankful for God’s goodness,
I’m thankful  for His grace
I’m thankful that I can seek
each day His loving face.

I’m thankful for God’s salvation,
I’m thankful for His favor

to be my Lord and Savior.

The Language of Gratitude ~

I’m learning a new language,
its called gratitude . . .
and it begins with having
a thankful attitude.

Its vocabulary,
is easy to understand
for gratitude is as simple as
offering a helping hand.

I don’t have to say any words,
or even write them down
for gratitude can be heard
without making a single sound.

There isn’t a special course,
to study or memorize
for gratitude can be picked up
by hearing others cries.

This dialect is universal,
anyone can speak it
for it is the language
of the Holy Spirit!

The Merry Heart ~

The merry heart,
in God has peace
its full of joy
that does not cease.

It wears a smile,
even when its sad
for the joyful heart
is always glad.

The merry heart,
exudes cheerfulness
its full of delight
imparts happiness.

It trusts in God,
in and for all things
for it is thankful
for whatever He brings.

The merry heart,
has a living hope
its full of joy . . .
it refuses to mope!

Thank you God,

My Hope Quiets Me ~

My hope quiets me,
when I get restless
it calms me down
if I get breathless.

My Hope never fails,
it keeps me strong
it brings me such comfort
all day and night long.

My hope is in God,
His mercy and favor
my hope is in Jesus
my forever Savior.

My hope elates me,
I’m ever so grateful
it makes me always

If We Want Peace ~

If we want peace,
transforming our lives
then all of our fears
we must archive.

If we want peace,
altering our minds
then all of our cares
we must leave behind.

If we want peace,
changing our hearts
then from our worries
we must break apart.

If we want peace,
for the rest of our days
then for everything
we must learn to pray.

If we want peace,
then our attitudes
must be full of  . . .
thankful gratitude!

Singing My Praise ~

Sometimes I want to stand,
on the highest hill . . .
raise my hands to the Lord
so I can tell Him how I feel.

I want to shout out my love,
hear His echo back at me
I want to close my eyes tight
until His face is all I see.

Sometimes I want to be alone,
on the tallest mountain top
sing my praises to the Lord
never wishing for them to stop.

I want to show my gratefulness,
with a standing ovation
I want to shout out my thanks
so He’ll know my appreciation.

Sometimes I want to stand,
and soak in His peace . . .
