A Fruitful Life ~

A life fruitful,
is a life trusting
one the Holy Spirit
is always leading.

It’s a journey,
lasting a lifespan
for God to finish
what He began.

A life fruitful,
is a life faithful
one that is to God
eternally grateful.

It’s an excursion,
into the living Word
an exercise of doing
all you have heard.

A life fruitful,
is a life of growing
one that takes . . .
Jesus knowing!

Something Good Is Happening ~

A good work God is doing,
a new work is getting done
now that you have given
your life over to His Son.

He will be conforming you,
into His own image
by helping you to get rid
of your worldly baggage.

A good work God is perfecting,
a new things He’s got going
and He will let you know
where you need to be growing.

For He wants you to know,
what is His will for you
and you will have to give up
some things you use to do.

Something good is happening,
all in God’s perfect timing . . .
for each day your heart
to His, He is aligning!

A Work In Progress ~

I am a work in progress,
you probably are one too
each day Jesus is working
in us something new.

His grace is forming us to be,
His warriors and His saints
He’s shaping us to live a life
with principles and restraints.

He is molding our hearts,
to be sober and clean
so the likeness of Him
in our souls we can glean.

He knows all the lumps,
that need to be reformed
He is shaping us each day
till in Him we’re transformed.

We have unlimited potential,
He’ll never be finished with us
and you and I must believe
His remolding is always just.

I am a work in progress,
you too might be one . . .
every day God is shaping us
into the image of His Son!

Be Not Downcast ~

Don’t be discouraged,
be not overly concerned
for while you’re waiting
there’s much to be learned.

For waiting brings about,
lessons of obedience
so that you may have
for Jesus a radiance.

Don’t be disheartened,
be not too disquieted
God is not done with you
His work isn’t completed.

For He has a lot of things,
He has to remold in you
so while you sit and wait
let go and let God do.

For it takes awareness,

A Good Work ~

A good work,
in you God has began
to help you get rid
of that old sinful man.

He promised to give,
His Spirit to you
so He could guide
and lead you how to.

A good work,
God will perform
so to His likeness
you can conform.

It will take time,
to reach perfection
until He sees in you
His own reflection.

A good work,
in you God will finish
if you will let Him . . .
go about His business!

There Are No Shortcuts ~

There are no shortcuts.
to spiritual maturity . . .
there are no easy ways
to learning humility.

It takes a lifetime,
for our faith to grow
it takes years and years
for our fruit to show.

There are no quick steps,
to finding God’s peace
there are no round abouts
to make our trust increase.

It takes a lot of time,
for God to finish . . .
what He has began
for our doubts to diminish.

There are no shortcuts,
no real time savers
for us to be made into . . .
the image of our Savior!

Transformation Takes Time ~

Conversion isn’t always,
instantly spontaneous
for most people it is . . .
fragile and precarious.

For us it’s a transition,
from the old into the new
and we know it will take
a lifetime to get through.

Transformation isn’t always,
an over night occurrence
for most people it is . . .
building up endurance.

For us it’s a slow process,
to keep our faith growing
and we know it will take
perseverance knowing.

Conversion doesn’t always,
happen with speed or quickness
but we know what God begun . . .
when Christ returns He’ll finish!

God’s Not Finished With Me ~

God’s not finished with me,
I know this to be true . . .
for, I can see all the things
that He has yet to do.

I realize He got started,
on me a long time ago
but, I also know there’s still
a lot of room for me to grow.

God’s not done with me,
all things beautiful take time
but, first He needed to chisel
away sin’s grit and grime.

I know when I came to Him,
my life was a big mess
but, a masterpiece takes time
and a lot of divine finesse.

God’s not finished with me,
He has a long way to go . . .
but, I am confident in this
when He is done, I will know!

What God’s Begun ~

God’s been working,
in me I know . . .
and what He began
is starting to show.

He’s given my mind,
a transformation
to follow His ways
until my completion.

He’s taken my heart,
once made of stone
gave me a new one
just like His own.

He’s breathed new life,
into my dead soul
gave it His Spirit
to be in control.

Every day of my life,
He is working in me
I know its His image
He’s wanting to see.

God is not finished,
with what He’s begun
and I can hardly wait . . .
until with me He’s done!

A Confident Future ~

I’m grateful for the past,
for the valley’s I’ve been in
for they have given me . . .
the strength I have within.

I’m grateful for my failures,
and yes, even my every loss
for they have all lead me . . .
to the foot of the cross.

I’m grateful for the pain,
of a heart that’s been broken
for to the mercies of God . . .
my soul has been awoken.

I’m grateful for the process,
I have been put through
for Lord, it has brought me
to be much closer to You.

I’m confident of the future,
though not sure were it’ll lead
but I’ve true peace knowing . . .
with God, I’ll have all I need!

Something Good ~

God began something good,
right there inside of you
and until He is done . . .
with you He’s not through.

For what He’s begun,
is only the start . . .
as He’s puts into you
for Him a new heart.

He’s taking the old one,
cutting away at the core
until all that is left . . .
is you wanting Him more.

When He is finished,
you won’t believe your eyes
for it’ll be Him inside you
other’s see and recognize.

God began something good,
right there inside of you
so just wait and be still . . .
till with you He is through!

God’s Working In You ~

Do not let your heart forget,
the good things God’s worked in you
don’t you ever doubt or wonder
what He began He won’t see through.

For, in your life He’s still working,
out the details of all things
and it gives His heart gladness
when you try out your eagle wings.

You will have high mountains,
low valleys and rough seas too
there’ll be times when you think
He’s no longer working in you.

But, oh my little earthlings,
do not stress or flit about . . .
for God has you in His sight
as He’s busy working things out.

Sometimes our unbelief,
keeps us from God’s plans
but, we must never doubt . . .
our times our in His hands!
