Tests And Trials ~
Sometimes in our lives,
God sends a test . . .
to awaken us from
our false sense of rest.
He wants to see if we are,
still watchful and alert
so when satan attacks
his strikes we can avert.
Sometimes in our lives,
God sends a trial . . .
to see if we are living
a righteous life-style.
He wants to see if our faith,
has become obscure
or if we have the strength
in this world to endure.
Sometimes in our lives,
God tries and proves us
just to see the measure
of our faith and trust!

Increasing Faith and Trust ~
Increase the measure Lord,
of our faith and trust
give daily more of it
to each one of us.
For as we are being,
constantly refined
we’ll need more faith
to be assigned.
Increase the measure Lord,
of our hope and peace
into our hearts and minds
more of it release.
For as we go through,
all the test and trials
we’ll need more trust
to go those extra miles.
Increase the measure Lord,
of our belief in You . . . .
give us more faith and trust
for the things You can do!

This is a test . . .
to see if we are willing
to see if we can withstand
their shameful grilling.
It’s a test of our faith,
our hope and our trust
by those who want to take
control over all of us.
This is an experiment . . .
to see if we will obey . . .
to see if from our beliefs
we’re willing to fall away.
It’s a test of our freedoms
our rights and our liberties
by wicked, evil forces
and godless authorities.
This is a test . . .
to see if we will conform
to the word’s ways
so to them we’ll transform!

God Waste’s Nothing ~
God waste’s nothing,
not the hurt, not the pain
He uses everything . . .
for His purpose, for our gain.
He knows the how’s,
to all of our why’s . . .
for He sees everything
through wiser eyes.
God squanders nothing,
not the grief, not the sorrow
He knows new mercy
will come with tomorrow.

He knows it is Him
that we must choose.

God’s Preparing The Way ~
God’s working everyday,
in the believer’s life
every experience
be it victory or strife.
He has a purpose,
behind all He exercises
He warns and corrects us
so our sin will recognize.
God tests where we’ll put,
our faith and trust
so He sends us trials
to see how we’ll adjust.
He has a reason,
for the storms that blow
and He wants to see
where we’ll choose to go.
God is preparing us,
working in us each day
for our future glory . . .
He is purifying the way!

Soaring On Eagle Wings ~
We all fly on,
broken wings
we all cry over
lost things.
We all fall,
into despair
we all think
no one cares.
We all lose,
our way
we all feel
not another day.

with unrest
we all try
to do our best.
But we who fly,
on eagle wings
can soar . . .

His Sufficient Grace ~
When I’m weak,
and oh so weary
when the road ahead
is long and dreary.
To my Lord,
I cry for more grace
so what’s before me
I can bravely face.
When I’m anxious,
feeling low and down
when my world
comes crashing down.

to take me through

In The Right Direction ~
Sometimes God,
needs to get my attention
so He can reestablish
with Him a connection.
So He sends into my life,
trials and tribulations
to see if I will trust Him
with all their complications.
Sometimes God,
needs to redirect my life
by giving me things
that will cause me strife.
He wants to know,
how deep my faith goes
so that my weaknesses
to me He can expose.
Sometimes God,
has to get my attention
so He can keep me going
in the right direction!

There’s Nothing So Hard ~
There is no heart so hard,
that God cannot transform
there is no soul so dark
that mercy cannot reform.
There is nothing so hard,
that God will have us to do
there are no circumstances
that He can’t strengthen you.
There is no trial too hard,
that God can’t help us bear
there is no test so daunting
that grace won’t meet us there.
There is no road too hard,
that God may have for us
there is no path so tough
that we can’t learn to trust.

that God cannot do . . .
there is no heart so powerless
when He lives inside of you!

Thing’s I Can’t Handle ~
I’ve heard people simply say,
God will not give me
anything I can’t handle . . .
but, with them I don’t agree.
For, I’ve looked in my Bible,
and saw how I’d be tested
once my life in Jesus . . .
became fully invested.
He said I’d face tribulation,
that I would be persecuted
and for my faith in Him
I could even be executed.
He said I’d have trials,
many worries and cares
that my very own cross
daily I’d have to bear.
So, when people tell me this,
I look right into their eyes . . .
and tell them I can’t handle things
unless His strength I excise!

If We Know ~
If we know . . .
all things work for our good
then why don’t we trust God
like we know we should?
If we know . . .
together things will work out
then why don’t we trust God
instead of having doubt?
If we know . . .
with God all things are possible
then why don’t we trust God
with what is impossible?
If we know . . .
our life’s are in God’s control
then why don’t we trust God
with the things of the soul?
If we know . . .
and God we truly love
then why aren’t we willing
our fears to let go of?

In His Strength ~
When troubled waters,
start to churn and swirl
before my faith . . .
can begin to spiral.
To my Lord,
I take my distress
and with His strength
I am blessed.
When my worries,
start to push and pull
before my faith . . .
becomes void and null.
To my Lord,
I take my praise
and in His strength
I am not fazed.
When troubled waters,
are all I can see . . .
I pray to my Lord
to strengthen me!

Walking the Talk ~
I really like talking,
all about the walk . . .
but, I’m not always great
at walking the talk.
For, often I stumble,
on the words I say
and my walk falters
as I talk along the way.
I find it easy to talk,
about what to do
but, sometimes Lord
my walk isn’t in You.
For, when I’m tested,
my walk betrays my talk
especially when I think
Your will I can balk.
I really like talking,
all about the walk
but, at times I need help
walking . . . what I talk!

Dispel Your Despair ~
If your faith is steadfast,
rooted and grounded
when trials come your way
in joy you’ll be surrounded.
For in the very midst,
of your worldly care
counting it all for joy
will dispel your despair.
When in Jesus,
you are truly content
you’ll experience joy
that is heaven sent.
For, whether in sickness,
or in perfect health
joy will bring to you
everlasting wealth.
Joy is not an option,
it’s something God gives
to those where His Spirit
securely abides and lives!

God Has My Back ~
I have personal needs,
individual wants I lack
but, God always has
my spiritual back.
I trust Him to provide,
for me every day
the patience to keep me
on the narrow way.
I know He will grant,
me with His grace
to meet head on
the trials I face.
I have faith knowing,
He will give me power
to overcome temptation
my every waking hour.
I have many needs,
personal wants I lack
but, I always get wisdom
whenever God I ask!

Up against,
yet, another roadblock
problems have you in
a dreaded headlock?
Well, don’t quit yet,
God will help you
and over this barrier
He’ll get you through.
Up against,
one more obstacle
worries have you thinking
this one is impossible.
Well don’t stop yet,
God will draw you near
and through this hurdle
with Him you’ll clear.
Up against,
yet another brick wall
well don’t you forget . . .

God Has A Plan ~
For every trial,
God has a purpose
He has a plan . . .
before they surface.
He sends us tests,
deserving or not
to see how much
grace we have got.
It is up to us,
how we will react
whether our troubles
our faith will impact.
Some choose to grow,
resentful and bitter
some opt to make
their faith in God bigger.
For every trial,
God sends to us . . .
He’ll reveal the purpose
as we increase our trust!

Faith Fortified ~
Lord, let me obtain,
faith that is greater
give to me the kind
not able to waiver.
Let it be strong,
mighty and firm
so when it’s tested
I will not squirm.
Lord, let me acquire,
faith, mountain moving
take this mustard seed
and keep it growing.
Let it take root,
deep in my soul
so when it’s tried
I will not fold.

On The Winds of Adversity ~
On the winds of adversity,
God seems to test us
and all we can really do . . .
is to hold on to our trust.
With each passing gale,
that rages through our life
all we can really do . . .
is to give Jesus our strife.
As the gusts keep coming,
and the storms continue on
all we can really do . . .
is stay calm til they’re gone.
With each rushing wind,
that comes blowing our way
all we can really do . . .
is to turn to God and pray.
For, the storms of this life,
will eventually cease . . .
and one day Jesus will bring
to our souls perfect peace!

Through the Eyes Of God’s Grace ~
I got me this thing,
but, at it I don’t look
instead my eyes are on
what’s in the Good Book.
This thing is pretty heavy,
but, it doesn’t weigh me down
because I am focusing
on my everlasting crown.
One thing I know for sure,
what I have is temporal
and all that really matters
is what will be eternal.
This thing is quite annoying,
it’s always in my face
but, I can see right past it
through the eyes of God’s grace.
I got me this affliction,
but, over it I don’t worry
for my eyes are set on seeing . . .
God in all His wondrous glory!

When Life’s Not Fair ~
When things in life,
are just not fair . . .
and you feel you have
way too much to bear.
That’s when you need,
more of God’s grace
to help you through
the dilemmas you face.
When bad things happen,
though you are good
and you don’t understand
why they ever should.
That’s when you need,
more of God’s mercy
so you can trust Him on
your uncertain journey.
When God doesn’t meet,
your expectations
when you become full
of doubt and questions.
That’s when you need,
to put your life in His hands
and pray He’ll reveal . . .
the purpose behind His plans!

This is A Test ~
God’s sending me tests,
He’s giving me situations
He’s seeing if I’ll claim
His peace trough tribulations.
God’s giving me a chance,
to find new grace each day
He is seeing if my faith
will hold up along the way.
God’s working in me patience,
He wants to affirm my hope
He’s teaching me to trust Him
for the strength I need to cope.
God’s seeing if I will rejoice,
when things are askew
He’s looking to see His glory
in my life shinning through.
God keeps informing me,
Child, this is just a test . . .
so that I may experience
what is His perfect rest!

When Trials Blow Our Way ~
When trials blow our way,
on the winds of stress
when we start to feel
tense and hard pressed.
That’s when we need to go,
to the One who’ll ease
the whirlwind we are in
into a tranquil breeze.
When adversity slams,
on the door of our trust
when anxiety’s clamor
starts to overwhelm us.
That’s when we need to go,
to the Savior of our soul
and give to Him our fears
so He can take control.
When trials blow our way,
as worry slams about
that’s when we need Jesus . . .
to chart for us new a route!

Thankful for What ~
It’s easy to be thankful,
when things are going well
when we are trouble-free
no fears on which to dwell.
But, when burdens become,
crushing and all-consuming
it’s hard to show gratitude
when stress is ever-looming.
It’s difficult to say thank you,
in the middle of our strife
it’s not easy to be grateful
for the trials in this life.
How can we be thankful,
in every single thing
rejoicing in the hardships
that living often brings?
It takes a heart of faith,
an unwavering trust
it take a soul that knows
being prayerful is a must!
