Choices ~

Life can be challenging,
with lots of highs and lows
all depending on the way
in which we have chose.

For it’s all about our choices,
we daily have to make
that determines if we keep
heading for the narrow gate.

Life can be difficult,
with lots of curves and bends
plenty of different ways
leading us to dead ends.

For it’s not always clear,
which road we need to take
but, until God shows us . . .
we need to step on the brake.

Life can be challenging,
but, it really needn’t be
if we left the choice to God . . .
every good path we would see!

I pray each day you will stay
on the road of the righteous.

Along The Righteous Path ~

Along the righteous path,
there are promise galore
for us to discover . . .
to search and explore.

For God promised to lead us,
on the road that is straight
and to show us the Way . . .
to get to the narrow gate.

He said we could ask Him,
for His guidance, divine
and to give us the endurance
to make it to the finish line.

God said it wouldn’t be easy,
there would be lots of stress
but He’d give us the grace
to continue to onward press.

He said we’d find His favor,
His mercy and goodness . . .
to reveal His purposes and plans
so to prove to us His kindness.

Along the righteous path,
God promised He’d lead
and we will find them all . . .
if our Bible’s we would read!

Living By Grace ~

Living by grace,
isn’t a license to sin
instead it’s a purging
of the old man within.

It’s life changing,
altering and evolving
each day our hearts
need to be transforming.

Saved by grace,
isn’t a pass to sinfulness
instead it’s a path
to Godly righteousness.

It’s a call to holiness,
a life of victory
it’s having the power
over Satan’s trickery.

Living by grace,
isn’t a pass or license
to keep on sinning . . .
is abiding in defiance!

Seeking God’s Counsel ~

When I need counsel,
when guidance I seek
I turn to God’s Word
then I let it speak.

For its full of wisdom,
so divinely conveyed
and I know it is God
who I need to obey.

His Word won’t cause,
me to go astray
for it reveals to me
the Life and the Way.

I trust where it leads,
I’m sure it will show
the righteous path
God wants me to go.

God’s Word is my compass,
its full of His direction
pointing me to my final
glorious destination!

My Sun and Shield ~

Lord, You promised to be,
my sun and shield . . .
so, unto Your authority
my heart I willingly yield.

For, in You there is light,

Draw Us Nearer Lord ~

Fruits of Love ~

Plant your roots in the Bible,
water them every single day
feed upon the Word of God
grow in the righteous way.

Nurture yourself in the Bible,
let Jesus’ grace take a firm hold
then you’ll produce fruits of love
beautifully, bountifully bold.

Establish yourself in the Bible,
firmly set down your foundation
let the roots of your faith
be grounded in your salvation.

Plant your treasures in heaven,
be rooted in the Kingdom to come
pray for the Holy Spirit’s indwelling
so to root-rot you won’t succumb!

Seeking God First ~

I’m seeking God first,
before I do anything else
I will be looking unto Him
not to my wretched self.

I’ll be seeking His kingdom,
for my daily bread
focusing on the destination
of the glory that lies ahead.

I’m seeking in my Bible,
what He has for me today
I’m asking Him to show me
His true and righteous way.

I’m going to discover,
the path that He has for me
I’m going to attempt to try it
with all my physical energy.

I’m going to seek God,
with all my heart and soul
I am going to make Him
my life’s one and only goal.

I’m going to put God first,
before anything else . . .
no one will come between us
not even my old wicked self!

It’s Not Easy ~

It’s not simple,
this Christian walk
it’s not easy
this Christian talk.

People think,
I’m a religious freak
people insist
I’m tolerant weak.

It’s not easy,
this Christian road
it’s not fun
when others goad.

I must admit,
it’s laborious
for this Christian walk
to be victorious.

But, I don’t mind,
what others may say
for I know . . .
Jesus is the only way.

It’s not easy,
to walk the talk
it’s not acceptable
to talk the walk!
