Trusting In The Lord ~

Trusting the Lord,
with each new day
knowing He’ll show me
the righteous way.

Praying for wisdom,
and for guidance too
knowing He’ll show me
what I should do.

Waiting for answers,
to my requests
knowing He’ll show me
when the time is best.

Holding on to hope,
embracing His love
knowing He’ll show me
what He is made of.

Trusting in the Lord,
with all of my soul
letting Him with my life
have complete control!

bringing mercy and hope

Our Bodyguard ~

God is our defender,
our bodyguard
when to His ways
we regard.

God is our anchor,
our safety-net

My Sights Are Set ~

My sights are set,
directly before me
my eyes look forward
to the glory I’ll see.

I concentrate on the path,
dependable and straight
I keep my feet marching
towards the narrow gate.

My eyes are kept alert,
for satan’s pitfall
my legs move onward
so into them I won’t fall.

My steps are committed,
to God and His ways
onto the worldly ones
I set not my gaze.

My sights are set,
fixed on going straight
my feet are pointed
right to the narrow gate!

A Holy Hunger ~

I have a holy hunger,
for God’s strength within
so that I may always flee
from Satan and sin.

I have a holy thirst,
to be in God’s Word
a need for Living Waters
to be constantly stirred.

I have a holy longing,
for God’s mighty power
to overcome temptation
my every waking hour.

I have a holy want,
needing to be satisfied
a deep desire in my soul
to be refined and purified.

I have a holy hunger,
a deep, yearning thirst
a burning desire to put . . .
God in my life first!

Old Paths ~

Lord, the old paths,
are in despair . . .
chosen now the ones
heading nowhere.

The good, perfect way,
is still out there . . .
but, today it seems
nobody really cares.

No one wants to see,
the one true way . . .
they would rather take
the one leading away.

They are walking now,
on shaky, rocky ground . . .
rest for their weary souls
won’t ever be found.

Lord, the old paths,
they are tried and true
but nobody anymore . . .
wants to be led to You!

Got Me A GPS ~

I’ve got me a GPS,
I use it every single day
for I use the Word of God
to help me find my way.

Whenever I’m in need,
of some good-old directions
I plug into my Bible  . . .
for some inner inflections.

It lets me know whenever,
I need to make a turn
it shows the route to take
so in hell I’ll not burn.

I charge up my batteries,
in the Verses that I read
on the road it alerts me
to the rules, I need to heed.

It never steers me wrong,
I remain true to course
for, the Holy Spirit is my  . . .
Godly Positioning Source.

I’ve got me a GPS,
it’s helping me to find the way
and my final destination . . .
is to be with Jesus one day!

These Evil Days ~

In this world today,
evilness is all around . . .
and we must be sure
in the Gospel we’re sound.

We must use the time,
to find what is God’s will
we need to learn to wait
to trust and be still.

We need to understand,
God’s purposes and plans
we must choose to leave
everything, in His hands.

We need to ask God,
for His help in all things
we must let the Spirit lead
no matter, what life brings.

In this world today,
evilness surrounds us
we must redeem the time
with Godly wisdom and trust!
