Let Your Gentleness Ooze ~

When imperfections,
in others you see
don’t call them out
instead, like Jesus be.

For in your humility,
they’ll see their lack of
and for what’s not said
will be noted out of love.

When someone’s pride,
gets in your face
don’t go off on them
instead, show some grace.

For in your patience,
they will start to find
how their self-importance
rules their heart and mind.

When your own faults,
are pointed out to you
let it be your gentleness . . .
that oozes through!

Ephesians 4:2

“With all lowliness and meekness,
with longsuffering,
forbearing one another in love;”

Sticky Note From God 01.02.18

A Life Selfless ~

This coming year,
make a resolution new
to put aside . . .
any bitterness still in you.

Make up a list,
of what gives you strife
then ask God to renew
His peace in your life.

This coming year,
make it your ambition
to see the Holy Spirit
gifts come to fruition.

Write down the things,
that are impairing
you from being kind . . .
forgiving and caring.

This coming year,
let your resolution be
a life selfless . . .
so to set bitterness free!

~~~~~~
Philippians 2:3
“Let nothing be done through
strife or vainglory;
but in lowliness of mind
let each esteem other
better than themselves.”
Don’t Be Vengeful ~
Do not be vengeful,
don’t try to get even
do not hold a grudge
for any kind of reason.
Do not be spiteful,
don’t be merciless
do not be cruel
or become heartless.
Do not be resentful,
don’t be envious
don’t be embroiled
in others pettiness.
Do not be hateful,
don’t be critical
do not be unforgiving
nor become cynical.
Do not be vengeful
don’t hold a grudge
for God one day . . .
every thought will judge!
~~~~~~~~~

Leviticus 19:18

“Thou shalt not avenge,
nor bear any grudge
against the children
of thy people,
but thou shalt
love thy neighbour
as thyself: I am the Lord.”

Examine My Heart Lord ~

Lord, search my heart,
from the inside out
tell me where You find
places of fear and doubt.

See if You see in me,
any remaining skepticism
put into my heart
by religious dogmatism.

Lord, pull the reins,
of my heart today
steer them to follow
Your righteous ways.

Yank hard if You must,
so closer to You I’ll turn
jerk ’em if You have to
so in hell I’ll not burn.

Lord, check the fruit,
for You, I am bearing
if any be rotting . . .
be quick with Your paring.

Make sure all my doings,
are being done for You
oh, Lord examine my heart
take hold of the reins too!

~~~~~~
Jeremiah 17:10
I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins, even to give
every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit
of his doings.”
Snippet of The Day 04.06.17
From the Poem:    The Fruit of The Spirit
From Works to Freedom ~
By Grace used with permission IBible Verses
I tithe and go to church,
I help the needy and poor
but nothing I do . . .
will open heaven’s door.
I read and study,
my Bible every day
I get on my knees
whenever I pray.
I follow the golden rule,
I share the Good Word
but none of this makes me
a sheep in heaven’s herd.
I don’t cuss or swear,
I am gentle and kind
and the peace of God
fills up my heart and mind.
I am faithful and devoted,
I am loyal and just
but none of these actions
are a heaven’s must.
My salvation doesn’t come,
from the good things I do
my own efforts . . .
won’t make heaven come true.
All I need is God’s grace,
to enter into His Kingdom
and faith in Jesus to go . . .
from works to eternal freedom!
~~~~~~~~~~

Galatians 2:16
King James Version

“Knowing that a man
is not justified by the works of the law,

but by the faith of Jesus Christ,
even we have believed in Jesus Christ,

that we might be justified
by the faith of Christ,

and not by the works of the law:
for by the works

of the law shall no flesh
be justified.”

Searching For Christ

Welcome to the page of a burning heart! A repentant prodigal son now returns to seek the embrace of our Heavenly Father. Here a heart stricken with a desire to lift up God, feels a great need to know our Savior Jesus Christ, These writings are to share with children, wife, and those who would care, what the Spirit whispers on how to take our relationship with the Lord to a higher and more intimate level. Pray that we can all learn to love God more and come closer to Him each and every day!
