Embracing The New ~

Embracing the new,
getting rid of the old
is freeing and liberating
makes us for Jesus bold.

It’s finally saying goodbye,
to former desires
and letting the Holy Spirit
ignite into our souls a fire.

Taking off the weight,
of spiritual depression
allows Jesus to make
a lasting impression.

It’s doing away with self,
and letting Jesus in
it’s going out everyday
not falling back into sin.

Doing away with the old,
for what is new . . .
is letting Jesus become
a part of you!

Old Creature Gone ~

Old creature gone,
exchanged for the new
the day Lord, Jesus
we came to follow You.

Old dirty habits,
old thoughts and ways
redeemed for the new
for the rest of our days.

Old bitter resentment,
old tempers and demands
substituted for the new
as we obey Your commands.

Old greedy desires,
old habits and lusts
converted for the new
when we began to trust.

Old creature gone,
exchanged for the new
all because Lord, Jesus
we’re beholden to You!

Old Things Gone ~

Old things gone,
no more desire
for worldly wealth
to acquire.

No more need,
to seek greed out
satisfied now
to do without.

Old things dead,
no more pleasure
worldly practices
no longer treasure.

No more wants,
indulgences filled
to old thoughts
no longer thrilled.

Old things gone,
all things new
self removed . . .
Christ now in you!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation.
The old has passed away;
behold, the new has come.

It’s A Wonderful Life ~

It’s a wonderful life,
when in Jesus you believe
it’s a fantastic experience
when God’s gift you receive.

It’s a life filled with hope,
peace, joy and rest
grace is a wondrous thing
when with it you’re blessed.

It’s a wonderful life,
when you know God’s greatness
favor is a glorious thing
when you accept His goodness.

It’s a life of forgiveness,
sacrifice and redemption
mercy is a magnificent thing
when you seek its perfection.

It’s a wonderful life,
when in Jesus you believe
for God’s love, mercy and grace
are the gifts you’ll receive!

In The Spring Of Life ~

In the Spring of life,
all things become new
for those who Lord  . . .
put their trust in You.

For, the season of Spring,
is a time for cleansing
a time for heavy hearts
to do some purging.

In the Spring of life,
there comes a newness
for those who Lord . . .
soak in all of Your goodness.

For, the season of Spring,
is a time for renewing
a time for weary souls
to receive their healing.

In the Spring of life,
all things become new
for those who Lord . . .
give their heart’s to You!

A New Creature ~

A New Creature ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I am a new creature,
for I am forgiven
ever since my life
to Jesus I have given.

I am now set free,
from my past behaviors
and behind God’s back
are all of my failures.

Any kind of temptation,
I am competent to flee
now that the Holy Spirit
dwells inside of me.

I am not ashamed,
nor am I considered guilty
for Jesus paid the debt
for my every iniquity.

I am a repenter,
I’ve been transformed
ever since the day
to Jesus I conformed!

Something New ~

All Things New ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

He made us,
into something new
and we must believe
this to be true.

Lest to doubt,
we will succumb
and our faith . . .
will be humdrum.

He is planning,
a new path for us
and we must always
in Him trust.

Lest to temptation,
we will surely fall
and our faith . . .
will be weak and small.

He is working,
out His perfect plan
and we must believe
to leave it, in His hand.

Lest to fear,
we will give in
and our faith . . .
will start to dim.

He is working,
in You and I
and He will not quit
until the day we die!

A New Identity ~

In Christ Alone ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Once I thought,
myself I knew . . .
but then came Jesus
made all things new.

He took my heart,
made it His own
then my life . . .
He began to hone.

He put into me,
His own likeness
opened my eyes
to all the darkness.

He gave me hope,
when I had none
filled me with peace
when He was done.

Now I am in Him,
He is in me . . .
the True Light
I now can see.

With Jesus I have,
a brand new identity
that will be with me
for all of eternity!

All Things New ~

All Things New ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Born again,
all things new
all because Jesus
died for you.

A new creature,
He has created
your life for His
He has awaited.

A new beginning,
a clean fresh start
now that Jesus
lives in your heart.

A living hope,
each day to renew
with Jesus everything
is made brand new.

Born again.
from darkness into light
Jesus now fills you . . .
with His holy might!

Jesus Centered ~

Jesus be the Center by Radikai Arts free photo #12834

When Jesus is at the heart,
of the things that we do
joy and happiness . . .
will shine brightly through.

When Jesus is at the core,
of our very life . . .
peace will come to us
surpassing all our strife.

When Jesus is at the crux,
of our daily prayers . . .
abundant grace and mercy
will ease away our cares.

When Jesus is at the hub,
of our every single deed
blessings will fall upon us
covering our every need.

When we’re Jesus centered,
in all we say and do . . .
the love He has for us
will make all things new!

The New Heart ~

A New Heart ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
From cardinal to spiritual,
from sinful to holy
a new heart is given
when God is sought wholly.

From old man to new one,
from death to everlasting life
a new heart is given
void of conflict and strife.

From fearful to courageous,
from anxiety to breathing peace
a new heart is given
with a calmness never to cease.

From stony heart to devoted,
from anger to temperance
a new heart is given
for strength and endurance.

From darkness to light,
from sinfulness to goodness
a new heart is given
out of God’s grace and kindness.

From trembling to soaring eagle,
from mire to being golden
a new heart is given
when to God we’re beholden.

From fallen to forgiven,
from lost to being saved
a new spirit has been given
when Jesus was raised!

~~~~~~~
Ezekiel 36:26
“A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put
within you: and I will take away
the stony heart out of your flesh,
and I will give you an heart of flesh.”
Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.
“It was the last and most important day of the Feast. Jesus stood up and spoke in a loud voice. He said, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Does anyone believe in me? Then, just as Scripture says, streams of living water will flow from inside him." When he said this, he meant the Holy Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit later. Up to that time, the Spirit had not been given. This was because Jesus had not yet received glory.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭7:37-39‬)
