A God Follower ~

I want to always be,
to God a follower
to His ways I want to be
a constant supporter.

I want to be an imitator,
of His love and grace
I want to be an example
in this the faithful race.

I want to be a mimicker,
of Jesus everyday
I want to be just like Him
in every single way.

I want to be a mentor,
a shiner of His light
I want to help others
to stay in the faithful fight.

I want to always be,
a sweetsmelling savour
so others can partake with me
the delights of my Savoir!

~~~~~~~~
Ephesians 5:12
Be ye therefore followers of God,
as dear children; And walk in love,
as Christ also hath loved us, and
hath given himself for us an offering
and a sacrifice to God for a
sweetsmelling savour.
Bold and Brave~
Lord, help me to be,
more bold and brave
to share my faith
that to me You gave.
Help me to be the Light,
that reflects on You
in everything I say
in all the things I do.
Lord, help me to be,
for You more courageous
in a world that’s become
ever more dangerous.
Help me to lead the way,
so others may know
the reasons why You love
and care for them so.
Lord, help me to be,
a witness for You bold
so I can encourage . . .
more into Your fold!
~~~~~~~~

Acts 4:31

And when they had prayed,
the place was shaken where
they were assembled together;
and they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost, and they spake the
word of God with boldness.

Choose Words Consoling ~

Choose words consoling,
let them be wise and kind
use words that will bring
to someone peace of mind.

Use your words carefully,
think before you speak
pray before you say a thing
to be humble and meek.

Use words that will inspire,
encourage and support
let them be full of tenderness
always offering up comfort.

Control your own impulses,
use words filled with grace
let others hear loving words
their heart’s can embrace.

Our words can be healing,
bringing relief and peace
or they can be toxic . . .
by the poison they release!

~~~~~~~~
Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant words are
as an honeycomb,
sweet to the soul,
and health to the bones
.
it is an unruly evil,
full of deadly poison.”
The Thunderbolts of Fear ~
The thunderbolt of fear,
is frightening and horrifying
as it releases its dread
with shocks of panic terrifying.
It freezes and it seizes,
our feet right to the floor
as soon as we begin to hear
its rumbling, cracking roar.
It moves so ever quickly,
through our worried minds
as it begins to settles in
our weaknesses it finds.
Fears jolting booming,
is felt deep in the heart
until a resounding dread
in our soul beings to start.
But, fear can be conquered,
when at first you hear its clap
if you take your worries . . .
and lay them in God’s lap!
Good Morning Quote ~06.07.22~
The Best Place To Go ~
Some people look to family,
for their encouragement
some seek their pastors
for spiritual nourishment.
Some people turn to books,
offering them self-care
some search their computer
for their health and welfare.
But, I have found for me,
the best place I can go
is to my Bible daily
where living waters flow.
For between the pages,
there I find my best friend
for Jesus promised me
He’d be there til the end.
Some people turn to people,
some turn to other things
but, my Bible pages I turn
for the peace I know it brings!
~~~~~~~~

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you,
my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not
your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.

Good Morning Quote ~04.11.21~

Me and My House ~

As for me and my house . . .
I’m asking Jesus to come to live
my heart and my soul to Him
I’m going to open up and give.

But, first I’ll make it ready,
and clean up the dirty mess
I’ll search my heart to see . . .
any hidden sin to confess.

Then I’ll toss out my idols,
keeping me away from Him
the ones new and shiny
all those growing old and dim.

I will toss them all out,
replace them with my Bible
with the books of preachers
whom I know are reliable.

I’m making sure I am ready,
so the Lord I can serve
because me and my house . . .
know it’s what Jesus deserves!

~~~~~~~~
Joshua 24:15
“And if it seem evil unto
you to serve the Lord,
choose you this day whom
ye will serve; whether the
gods which your fathers
served that were on the
other side of the flood,
or the gods of the Amorites,
in whose land ye dwell:
but as for me and my house,
we will serve the Lord.”
Only Jesus ~
There’s no other name like Jesus,
no other One we can call on
no other person that can help us
to be to His Father drawn.
There’s no other name in heaven,
no other name given unto man
no other person who has for us
the way to salvation’s plan.
There’s no other name like Jesus,
no other One with such power
no other One we can rely on
no matter the given hour.
There’s no other name we know,
no other One that loves us
no other name that spells out
in whom we can always trust.
There is no other name that shines,
no other One has the light
no other name helping us
in the battles we fight.
There is no other name like Jesus,
no other name that we can call
no other person can save us
It’s only Jesus ~ or no one at all!
#throwbackpoem ~ Crucified for Me ~
Into Our Death used with permission IBible Verses
Crucified for me,
for my sinful self . . .
oh, how in His death
there is eternal wealth.
Jesus died for me,
so that I might live
all of my transgressions
He came to forgive.
His death is my life,
in it I became new
for in Him . . .
I am crucified too.
Dying everyday,
to the greed and lust
in the world I no longer
pledge my faith or trust.
Grace and mercy,
are now my hearts anthem
ever since Jesus became . . .
my soul’s eternal ransom!
~~~~~~~

Galatians 2:20

“I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live;

yet not I, but Christ
liveth in me:

and the life which I now live
in the flesh
I live by
the faith of the Son of God,

who loved me, and gave
himself for me.”

Knitted Together ~

Knitted together,
with the strands
of love and grace
held in God’s hands.

Hearts joined,
with assurance
to run the race
with endurance.

Stitched collectively,
to become one
with the riches found
in Father and Son.

Clothed in righteousness,
the fabric of our life
so to encourage others
through worldly strife.

Knitted together,
by God’s hand . . .
so we may become
one single strand!

~~~~~~~
Colossians 2:2
That their hearts might be comforted,
being knit together in love,
and unto all riches of the full
assurance of understanding,
to the acknowledgement of
the mystery of God,
and of the Father,
and of Christ;
God Keeps His Promises ~
God keeps His promises,
His Word never fails
His promises He keeps
right down to the details.
Promises of new life,
that His Son brings
promises of hope
to work out all things.
Promises of comfort,
when trials we face
promises of new mercy
and sufficient grace.
Promises of blessings,
of every spiritual kind
promises of His peace
to guard heart and mind.
Promises to finish,
all that He has begun
promises of salvation
through the gift of His Son.
God keeps His promises,
they are solid as a Rock
He promises us Jesus . . .
will return for His flock!
Fear Comes In Waves ~
Fear is like the ocean,
it comes in with a roar
knocking you off your feet
throwing you to the floor.
It swells and it rises,
with its pulsing sound
so that panic stricken
you’ll stay on the ground.
Fear is like thunder,
it scares as it rumbles
causing you to shake
in midst of your troubles.
It alarms and startles,
with each booming strike
filling you with dread
upon each clap of light.
Fear come in waves,
in and out it ebbs . . .
but, we who trust Jesus
don’t let it into our heads!
God’s Love Is Amazing ~
God’s love is amazing,
flaming and blazing
effortlessly impressive
active and aggressive.
God’s love is perfect,
ideal and flawless
impeccably complete
honed and faultless.
God’s love is awesome,
sincere and solemn
rapturously showered
propelled and powered.
God’s love is unending
outreaching and broadcasting
unceasingly unremitting
engaging and everlasting.
God’s love is exceptional,
fair, just and equable
God’s love to everyone
is readily accessible!
Diamonds of His Grace ~
Do your tears downpour,
when you confess your sin
do they fall like raindrops
as they drip off your chin?
Is your heart remorseful,
of your every evil deed
will you give up your pride
and let the Holy Spirit lead?
Do your tears well up inside,
and come from deep within
do they drip like dewdrops
when you cry out to Him?
Will you come to the Light,
to have your heart reformed
will you call upon His name
so your life can be transformed?
Have you looked into God’s eyes,
and wept from your disgrace
do you know your tears to Him . . .
are the diamonds of His grace?
~~~~~~~

Psalm 30:5

For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favour is life: weeping may
endure for a night, but joy cometh
in the morning.

Lord, Let Your Light Saturate My Soul ~

Lord, let Your Light,
saturate my soul
let over my body
it take control.

Let it bring me,
truth and wisdom
let it beam into me
just like a prism.

Lord, let Your Light,
shine down on me
let it brighten my way
so Your plans I may see.

Let it bring me,
even closer to You
let it sear my heart
all the way through.

Lord, let Your Light,
shine, beam and sear
so that to you Lord
I’ll always be near!

~~~~~~~~
Truly Thankful ~
When we’re truly thankful,
in and for all things . . .
we will begin to realize
the joy to God it brings.
For, whatever might be,
our personal situation
He still wants us to show
to Him our adoration.
When we are truly thankful,
wherever in life we are
we’ll begin to understand
God from us is never far.
For, when we’re grateful,
no matter our positions
we’ll begin to see God’s love
comes without conditions.
When we are truly thankful,
despite of our circumstance
it’s because we know with God
nothing comes by happenstance!
Counting My Blessings ~
If I could add up,
all of my blessings
the total sum of them . . .
I’d only be guessing.
For, God sends to me,
new ones each day
yet, I don’t notice them
as they come my way.
If I’d only slow down,
I know I would see
the many blessings
He bestows on me.
For, God delivers to me,
mercy on a daily bases
and often I miss seeing . . .
the abundance of His graces.
If I could all my blessings
harness up and gather . . .
I would never stop giving
thanksgiving to my Father!
Abiding In God’s Love ~
Abiding in God’s love,
is something you must do
now that the Holy Spirit
lives inside of you.
For, He has called you,
to walk in all His ways
and when you step out
His love you must display.
Abiding in God’s love,
is a choice you need to make
your past attitudes
you will need now to forsake.
For He has called you,
into a fruitful living
so that you will learn
the meaning of forgiving.
Abiding in God’s love,
we all need to do . . .
for Father we know
it brings glory to You!
~~~~~~~

John 15:7-10

If ye abide in me, and my words
abide in you, ye shall ask what
ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified,
that ye bear much fruit;
so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me,
so have I loved you:
continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments,
ye shall abide in my love;
even as I have kept my Father’s
commandments, and abide in his love.

The Sun On The Horizon ~

Give me the sun on the horizon,
a sherbet color morning sky above
give me a clear, cloudless, warm day
then you’ll know why with God I’m in love.

Give me the shade of a willow tree,
the Good Book for me to read
give me a sweet tea to sip on
and I will have close to all I need.

Give me a creek’s mesmerizing flow,
chirps coming from a robin’s nest
give me green pastures with my Lord
well now you can picture the rest.

Give me the sound of children playing,
the laughs and giggles of youth
give me the peace of a summer’s sigh
found around a lemonade booth.

Give me the soft breeze off the ocean,
the sun painting its dazzling set
give me the coolness of the moonlight
and I’ll be close to heaven as I can get.

Give me a day in the radiant Son shine,
let me bask in God’s glorious love
give me a warm summer day to reflect . . .
on the splendor God’s sends from above!

If There Be ~

If there be any praise,
let that be your song
if there be any hope
let that make you strong.

If there be any truth,
let that be your trust
if there be any honesty
let that make you just.

If there be any purity,
let that be your sentiment
if there be any virtue
let that make you resonant.

If there be any good,
let that be your testament
if there be any loveliness
let that make you celebrant.

If there be anything at all,
that you think about
let it be the things . . .
that will work your faith out!

~~~~~~~~
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
Scatter Seeds Of Kindness ~
Scatter seeds of kindness,
as today you make your way
you don’t know just how much
they could make someone’s day.
Spread a wide old-grin,
get someone else to smile
it could make them feel
useful and worthwhile.
Extend a happy greeting,
sing out a bright hello
it may bring a little joy
to someone you don’t know.
Disperse some generosity,
it can go a long, long way
to energize and cheer up
someone sad you meet today.
Scatter seeds of kindness,
let goodwill be what you sow
how they make other’s feel
you may never really know!
~~~~~~~~~~~~

A Pep Talk ~

We all need endurance,
to run the faithful race
we all need the strength
found in God’s grace.

We all need encouragement,
to keep our goal in sight
we all need the power
of the Holy Spirit’s might.

We all need perseverance,
to help us to keep pressing
we all need more joy
to keep us from stressing.

We all need patience,
in these trying of times
we all need godly virtue’s
so not to cross the fine lines.

We all need a pep talk,
as the faithful race we run
we all need to hear each day
it is our’s to be won!

Sticky Note to God ~05.20.18

Sounding Brass ~

Sounding brass,
sharp and shrill
the call to charity
they can’t fill.

They seem to appear,
so strong and wise
but yet so oblivious
to charity’s cries.

Tinkling cymbals,
sound so sweet
but give no charity
to those they meet.

They look sincere,
so meek and small
yet still can’t hear
charity’s needy call.

Sounding brass,
tinkling cymbals
have not agape love . . .
plain and simple!

~~~~~~~
do not hold a grudge
Do not be spiteful,
Buckle Up ~
I’m putting on my helmet,
going to protect my head
I’m buckling up the straps
with Scriptures I’ve read.
I want to be protected,
from Satan’s mind game
the hope of my salvation
is his most likely aim.
Satan is really good,
at playing with my thoughts
but my helmet keeps me
from falling for his plots.
I want to be ready,
at every curve and bend
for I know he will chase me
right up to the very end.
Satan loves the pursuit,
he will never-ever quit
but my helmet will give me
the endurance and the grit.
I’m putting on my helmet,
lest I crash and burn
going to use the Scriptures
around each and every turn!
~~~~~~~

be sober, putting on the

Just Like My Savior ~

A Sweet, Loving Nature ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I want to be . . .
a sweet-smelling savor
to my God, I want to be
just like my Savior.

I want to learn,
all about self-denial
I want endurance
when facing any trial.

I want to serve,
not expecting back
I want to give
what others lack.

I want to be faithful,
even if I suffer
I want patience
to be my soul’s buffer.

I want to love,
with a quite gentleness
I want to be humble
full of forgiveness.

I want to pray,
through all things
I want the purity
His Spirit brings.

I want to be . . .
just like my Savior
I want to have His . . .
sweet-loving nature!

You Have Blessed Me ~

You Have Blessed Me ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

To My Friend  . . .

You have blessed me,
with words of encouragement
you have provided me
with spiritual nourishment.

You have helped me,
through my pain and grief
you have brought me
refreshment and relief.

You have given me,
hope in a dark place
you have revealed to me
the truth about real grace.

You have comforted me,
when all was too much to bear
you have reassured me
just how much for me you care.

You have been there for me,
my side you didn’t leave
you have consoled me . . .
my sorrow, you did relieve.

So thank you my friend
for blessing me . . .
with your very presence
though you, I cannot see!

Every Day Hope ~

Every Day Hope ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Every day I find myself,
in the need for more hope
so I turn to my Bible . . .
for insights to help me cope.

Without its encouragement,
I know I would faint away
for tomorrow will surely bring . . .
more troubles than today.

Whenever I am struggling,
with what I should do . . .
I turn to the Scriptures
till my confidence grows anew.

The Bible persuades me,
to trust with all my heart
I gain security in knowing
Jesus from me, will never part.

Every day I find myself,
learning how to daily cope . . .
for each day I read all about
the reasons behind my hope!
