Who Can Fully Comprehend ~

Who can fully comprehend,
God’s love that is world-wide
who can grasp the call . . .
to come and be His bride?

Who can fully understand,
a love that is without end
who can figure out
having a eternal Friend?

Who can fully embrace,
love going into eternity
who can stretch their hearts
into this place of serenity?

Who can fully fathom,
love reaching deep within
who can see the real need
for forgiveness of their sin?

Who can fully comprehend,
the love God has for everyone?
Only those who can grasp it . . .
are the ones who love His Son!

My Bucket List ~

 

Lord, I’ve got me a bucket,
filled with things for me to do
so the world may know. . .
why I am so in love with You.

The first thing inside of it,
means an awful lot to me . . .
for, I want it to be Your image
in me, that other people see.

The next thing that it holds,
is my desire to lead souls to You
it’s the most important thing
in my bucket, for me to do.

There’s more in my bucket,
that needs acknowledgment
for, I want to be to others
a source of encouragement.

I want to use the gifts given me,
to lead and light the way
to let the fruit of the Your Spirit
on my soul, continue to sway.

I want to keep on growing,
no matter how old I get
I want to be just like You . . .
to love, forgive and to forget.

I want to share my faith
the reasons why, You I trust
I want to live a Spirit filled life
powerful, mighty and robust.

I want to sing to You my praise,
in the shadow of my life . . .
I want to help others through
the misery of their own strife.

Redeeming the Time ~

What is a day,
what is it worth to you
how will you spend it
what with it, will you do?

Twenty-four little hours.
a bunch of tiny minutes
and a lot of wee seconds
crammed right into it.

Doesn’t seem like a lot,
of time, now does it
doesn’t feel like a lot
into it, you can fit?

But each moment given,
we’ll one day give account
so make sure for Jesus . . .
you make each second count.

What is a day worth,
think about it for a minute . . .
then redeem every second
for eternity, you’ll find in it!

Trust Fund ~

Got me a trust fund,
use it every day
I can always count on it
especially when I pray.

God is the grantor,
His assets are all mine
it’s just like having
an eternal credit line.

I withdraw from it often,
but I never take a loss
for the rates are based on
the finished work of the cross.

Jesus is my inheritance,
I trust Him with all my heart
for I am the beneficiary
of the grace that He imparts.

My trust fund is secure,
the dividends keep growing
I am very confident  . . .

This Hope ~

There’s a hope that is perfect,
it doesn’t rust or fade
it never spoils, won’t perish
it is not man-made.

This hope is based on fact,
it’s not just wishful thinking
this hope is the Gospel truth
and will have you rethinking.

This hope holds the promise,
of an expectation yet to come
in a house with many rooms
in our Father’s kingdom.

This hope isn’t a work of fiction,
it comes with an eternal plan
Jesus has prepared a place
for every child, woman and man.

On the wings of God’s grace,
I can soar above all things

this life so often brings.

I can face my biggest foe,
confront my largest fear
for on the wings of grace
my Lord is always near.

there isn’t any situation

Satan places in front of me

Without Christ ~

I have a nice home,
a car, a computer and a TV
but, without Christ . . .
what do they really get me?

I have a family room,
one to rumpus all around
but, without Christ . . .
I’d never be heaven bound.

I have sterling silver,
crystal adorns my shelf
but, without Christ . . .
I’m still my tarnished, sinful self.

I’ve many wonderful things,
and an awful lot of stuff
but, without Christ . . .
in this world it’s not enough.

I can travel abroad,
I can get from here to there

who really cares to where.

If Today I Met Jesus ~

If today I were to meet Jesus,
and my life here came to an end
I would be so excited
to finally meet my eternal Friend.

I would run up to Him,
and look into His face
I would tell Him I’m so thankful
for His endless supply of grace.

I would drop down to my knees,
and worship my everlasting King
I would shout hallelujah . . .
and my praises I would sing.

I would leap and jump with joy,
as soon as my feet hit the floor
I would be forever grateful
He opened to me heaven’s door.

If today I were to meet Jesus,
and I were to see my eternal Friend
I know that I would be in paradise

My hope doesn’t disappoint,

I’m a survivor,
I beat the odds
no longer trapped
in Satan’s claws.

Freed from evil,

Every day we make choices,
what to eat, to wear, to do
everyday there are options
God places in front of you.

Every day there are decisions,
influencing our daily life
some will bring endless joy
others only eternal strife.

Every day we must decide,
the things to us that matter
some make our faith stronger
others causes it to scatter.

Every day we can pick,
which path or road to take
some are straight and narrow
others lead to the wide gate.

Every day we need to select,
where to lay up our treasure
each new day we need to fix on
what will bring God pleasure.
