Whatsoever Things ~
Whatsoever things are true,
that which is rightful
that which comes from God
and is biblically truthful.
Whatsoever things are honest,
that which is sincere
that which comes from God
and is biblically clear.
Whatsoever things are just,
that which is reasonable
that which comes from God
and is biblically cleavable.
Whatsoever is pure,
that which is delightful
that which comes from God
and is biblically insightful.
Whatsoever is lovely,
that which is beautiful
that which comes from God
and is biblically suitable.
Whatsoever is of a good report,
that which is commendable
that which comes from God
and is biblically dependable.
If there be any merit,
or moral clarity . . .
think about such things
for in today’s world . . .
it is a rarity!
~~~~~~~~
Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
Things That Are True ~
When I think about,
things that are true
Lord, I can’t help . . .
but to think of You.
For You are honest,
righteous and pure
only through You
does sin have a cure.
When I think about,
things that are lovely
Lord, I think about . . .
my hope lively.
For all that is good,
worthy and right
are justified through
the truth in Your light.
When I think about,
all that is true . . .
Lord, I cannot help
but to praise You!
~~~~~~~~
Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things.

The Bluster of Fluster ~
Some times my joy,
I need to muster . . .
whenever I’m feeling
the bluster of fluster.
For, I can get so caught up,
in the world’s fallen state
that my eternal happiness
from me it starts to shake.
Sometimes my hope,
I need to summon . . .
as I start to feel
downcast and sullen.
For, I can see the darkness,
overshadowing the Light
that my eternal peace
is hard to keep in sight.
Sometimes my faith,
I need to boost and buoy . . .
and so my thoughts, Lord
I just turn over to You!
~~~~~~~~
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things
are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things
are lovely, whatsoever things are of
good report; if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
If There Be ~
If there be any praise,
let that be your song
if there be any hope
let that make you strong.
If there be any truth,
let that be your trust
if there be any honesty
let that make you just.
If there be any purity,
let that be your sentiment
if there be any virtue
let that make you resonant.
If there be any good,
let that be your testament
if there be any loveliness
let that make you celebrant.
If there be anything at all,
that you think about
let it be the things . . .
that will work your faith out!
Whatever Is Of A Good Report ~
Whatever is of a good report,
that which brings God praise
think about such things
and your spirit’s they will raise.
For, that which is mindful,
of God’s mercy and grace
are thoughts that our souls
daily need to embrace.
Whatever is eternal,
our minds should think of
visions of what is everlasting
are full of God’s power and love.
For, that which brings strength,
to our faith and hope
are the things that will help us
in this world to better cope.
Whatever is of a good report,
that which brings us cheer
if we think about such things
God to us, will always be near!
Whatever is Lovely ~
Whatever things are lovely,
that which is positive
think about such things
everything else is just negative.
For, that which is uplifting,
is full of righteousness
and will bring to your heart
contentment and quietness.
Whatever things are calming,
that which is tranquil
think about these things
your worries they will still.
For, that which is hopeful,
that which brings confirmation
will give you Godly confidence
full of love and not frustration.
Whatever things are lovely,
in your mind let them flow
and then the peace of God
you will come to know!
Whatever Is Pure ~
Whatever things are pure,
that which is holy . . .
think about such things
with your heart, wholly.
For, any other thoughts,
to God are never pleasing
only to our fleshly appetites
are they really appeasing.
Whatever things are unpolluted,
that which is clean
think about such things
all else, to God is obscene.
For, that which is corrupt,
soils and defiles the soul
with things that are hard
for our minds to control.
Whatever things are eternal,
that which is everlasting
think about such things
all else, is God distracting.
For, the lusts of the world,
will only cause us grief
as they’ll pervert and distort
our faith and our belief.
Whatever things are pure,
on such things, think
any other thoughts . . .
to God, will only stink!
Whatever Is Just ~
Whatever things are just,
in your mind let them sink in
for in the end it will be
God’s justice that will win.
For, God is full of mercy,
and gave to us His ways
so that we may have hope
for more peaceful days.
Whatever things are just,
these things think about
and they will bring comfort
when your fears incite doubt.
For, God works are flawless,
all has a perfect order
and He will make things right
amidst the chaos and horror.
Whatever things are just,
let your heart hold on to
for God’s moral excellence
will one day be coming true!
Whatever is Honest ~
On whatsoever is honest,
let your mind be ruled
so to the world’s ways
you will not be fooled.
For, that which is honest,
will see through the deceit
and the lies others tell you
with the truth, you’ll defeat.
Whatever things are honest,
in your heart let them root
and God’s righteousness
will be your soul’s pursuit.
For, that which is honest,
brings spiritual purity
and you will be blessed
with eternal security.
Whatever things are honest,
let them fill your mind
though others may despise you
God’s peace you will find!
Whatever is True ~
Whatever things are true,
let them fill your mind
and the mercy of God
in them you will find.
For, that which is true,
is born out of God’s favor
and crowned with the grace
of Christ Jesus, our Savior.
Whatever things are true,
let them fill your heart
and from God’s ways
you will not depart.
For, that which is true,
is found in God’s Word
and promises to be
the righteous man’s gird.
Whatever things are true,
such things, think about
then give God your praise
with a joyful shout!
A Pink-Lemonade Sky ~
Give me the sun on the horizon,
a pink-lemonade sky above . . .
give me a partly cloudy day
and I’ll tell you why Jesus I love.
Give me the shade of the elm,
the Good Book for me to read
give me something cool to drink
and I’ll have close to all I need.
Give me the creek’s soft humming,
chirps coming from a mother’s nest
give me the green grass to lay in
well ~ you can picture the rest.
Give me a Scripture to mediate on,
a soft breeze blowing across my face
give me a day dwelling upon
God’s amazing, wonderful grace.
Give me the aromas of a barbecue,
my mom’s homemade apple pie
give me laughter around an open fire
the warm sounds of a summer’s sigh.
Give me a day in the radiant Son shine,
so I can reflect on God’s perfect love
give me a day to spend basking . . .
in the goodness that comes from above!
