#throwbackpoem ~ Crucified for Me ~

Into Our Death used with permission IBible Verses

Crucified for me,
for my sinful self . . .
oh, how in His death
there is eternal wealth.

Jesus died for me,
so that I might live
all of my transgressions
He came to forgive.

His death is my life,
in it I became new
for in Him . . .
I am crucified too.

Dying everyday,
to the greed and lust
in the world I no longer
pledge my faith or trust.

Grace and mercy,
are now my hearts anthem
ever since Jesus became . . .
my soul’s eternal ransom!

~~~~~~~
Galatians 2:20
“I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live;
yet not I, but Christ
liveth in me:
and the life which I now live
in the flesh
I live by
the faith of the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave
himself for me.”
Beyond The Cross ~
Beyond the cross,
there’s a glorious view
for in Jesus’ death . . .
all things are made new.
New beginnings,
fresh clean starts
eternal hope
to fill our hearts.
Beyond the cross,
there is new life
the end to sin
and worldly strife.
No more battles,
no more struggles
no more satan
causing troubles.
Beyond the cross,
there are no fears
no death, no pain
and no more tears.
Despair will end,
suffering will cease
there will only be
everlasting peace.
Beyond the cross,
hope springs anew
all because Jesus . . .
died for me and you!
~~~~~~~~~

Hebrews 12:2

“Looking unto Jesus
the author and finisher of our faith;

who for the joy that was set
before him endured the cross,

despising the shame,
and is set down at the
right hand of the throne of God.”

It Is Finished ~

“It is finished”
words of agony from Jesus’ lips
“It is finished
no greater love will again eclipse.

“It is finished”
these words aloud Jesus said
and for the sins of everyone
His soul hemorrhage and bled.

“It is finished”
but, what really had just begun
was that grace and forgiveness
were freely given by God’s Son.

“It is finished”
but, for you it can be a new start
if you repent now of your sin
and give Jesus your whole heart.

“It is finished”
Jesus died so that you’d be free
let His death on  Calvary’s cross
take your soul to its knees.

“It is finished”
but, it’s not the end of the story
not until the day all of mankind
stands before God’s in all His glory.

“It is finished”
words of hope from Jesus’ lips
“It is finished”
don’t let His love for you eclipse!

John 19:30

wine, He said, “It is finished!” And
bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

It Started With Just One Nail ~

One nail was all it took,
to crucify Christ that day
it started with just one nail
for the crowd to get their way.

One blow upon that nail,
got the crowd to cheer and yell
“Crucify Him, Crucify Him”
put the hammer to that nail.

One nail was all it took,
for them to secure His fate
one large, iron nail became
the spike of their distaste.

One bang upon that nail,
their voices swelled and soared
“Crucify Him, Crucify Him”
as they began to nail the Lord.

One nail was all it took,
though they used all three
but, it started with that one nail
so all sinners could go free.

All it took was that first nail,
for the crowd to be satisfied
just one strike upon that nail . . .
and our Savior they crucified!

~~~~~~~
Mark 15:13-14
“And they cried out again, Crucify him.”
Then Pilate said unto them,
Why, what evil hath he done?
” And they cried out the more exceedingly,
Crucify him.”
Thank God It’s Good Friday ~
I thank God,
it’s Good Friday
I’m so grateful
for this one day.
For my Savior,
endured for me
the pain, the shame
to set me free.
I thank God,
for Jesus dying breath
for it saved me
from eternal death.
For my sins,
on the cross He bore
so I could have life
with Him forever more.
I thank God,
it’s Good Friday
for Jesus is to Him . . .
the only pathway!
Son Rise ~
Lord, open up eyes,
and hearts too
so others may today . . .
come to know You.
Open up their minds,
let Your love sink in
so others may today
be forgiven of their sin.
Open up their ears,
let them really hear
the reason Your Father
even sent You here.
Open up their souls,
to Your eternal grace
so others may today
Your life in theirs embrace.
Father, open up souls,
ears, hearts and eyes
so others may today . . .
see Your glorious Son rise!
Resurrection Day
The Grace of A Savior ~
God has for us,
an overflowing supply
of mercy and grace
for us to daily apply.
We can put it on,
be it night or day
we just need to ask
for it, when we pray.
Abundant it is,
it will never run out
it’s what being forgiven
is really all about.
God will release it,
as we require
for granting it to us
is His heart’s desire.
For all those in need,
of God’s mercy and favor
all you need is faith . . .
and the grace of a Savior!
~~~~~~~~~

Romans 5:1-2

“Therefore being justified by faith,
we have peace with God through
our Lord Jesus Christ:

By whom also we have access by faith
into this grace wherein we stand,
and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

When You Walk in The Light ~

There’s a lot of temptation,
that we must daily fight
there is a lot of confessing
when you walk in the light.

There’s a lot of acknowledging,
the sinfulness we daily fight
there is a lot of repenting
when you walk in the light.

There’s a lot of recognizing,
the evil we daily fight
there is a lot of conviction
when you walk in the light.

There’s a lot of fessing up.
to  the vices we daily fight
there is a lot to let go of
when you walk in the light.

There’s a lot of temptation,
that we must daily fight
there is true repentance
when you walk in the light!

~~~~~~~~
1 John 1:7-9
“But if we walk in the light,
as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ
his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.”
I AM The True Vine ~
I am the true Vine,
I am the pure seed
I came to fulfill
your soul’s dying need.
I am the choice Vine,
I’m the substitution
where there is sin
I’m the restitution.
I am the only Vine,
in Me you must stay
for to my Father’s home
there’s no other way.
I am the faithful Vine,
to me you must cling
for without Me . . .
you can’t do anything.
I am the true Vine,
my Father is the gardener
in the end He will be
the final soul harvester!
I AM The Way ~
Jesus is the Way,
He is the only route
to His Father there’s
no other way about.
People may believe,
there’s another direction
but Jesus came to prove
He’s the only connection.
Jesus is the way,
He is the only path
all other roads will lead
to His Father’s wrath.
People may come up with,
their own substitution
but Jesus became for us
His Father’s restitution.
Jesus is the Way,
there is no other one
they only way to our Father
is through His begotten Son!
I AM The Light of the World ~
Jesus is the Light of the world,
the darkness it out shines . . .
disclosing the evil thoughts
of our hearts, souls and minds.
His light is heart revealing,
to believers or not . . .
His light unmasks the sin
that for man He bought.
His light is soul divulging,
in the darkness it glows
His light is discovering
all wickedness it shows.
His light is illuminating,
it reflects the things hidden
His light is mind piercing
it sees all who are sin driven.
Jesus is the Light of the world,
for all who believe . . .
that He came so everyone
salvation can receive!
He has risen
triumphant alleluia.
He is alive,
blissful elation
He is alive
joyful celebration.
He is risen,
peaceful expectation
He has risen
He is here,
cheerful jubilation
He is here
hopeful affirmation.
Jesus is risen,
just like He had said
Jesus is alive
no longer is He dead!
The Power of the Blood ~
cleansed-by-the-blood CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
The power of the blood,
is our souls atonement
for Jesus became for us
our spiritual proponent.
His life and death brought,
with God reconciliation
for our sins Jesus suffered
shame and humiliation.
His blood has the power,
to cleanse us from all sin
to wash away the stains
they have left deep within.
The day He died for us,
was the day of justification
the cross on which He hung
was for our sanctification.
The power of the blood,
brings to all eternal peace
for Jesus died so we could be
from sin, finally released!
I Have a Friend ~
I've Got A Friend ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
I have a Friend,
He’s so good to me
a more loyal Friend
there could never be.
My Friend is with me,
no matter where I go
I know my Friend
will never be a no-show.
I have a Friend,
who I can always trust
what ever I am doing
you’ll see the two of us.
My Friend is faithful,
some One who is true
I know my Friend
wants to be yours too.
I have a Friend,
He is so good to me
in fact, my Friend died
because He loves me!
May I Always Remember ~
May I Always Remeber ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Lord, may I always,
remember You . . .
may I be Your light
in all I say and do.
May I not forget,
the life that You lived
how You came to love
to heal and forgive.
May I remember,
to always thank You
for all You did
to make my life new.
May I not forget,
the pain You endured
so my own salvation
could be secured.
Lord, may I always,
remember You . . .
may the joy of my salvation
always shine through!
Mercy’s Showers ~
Mercy Showers ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Showers of mercy,
fall on me each day
sprinkles of God’s favor
on my soul spray.
Oh, I am grateful,
oh, how I’m blessed
as showers of God’s mercy
on me, come to rest.
Healing and restoring,
hope, drips from above
droplets of God’s goodness
trickles of His love.
Oh, how I am thankful,
oh, I am blessed
as showers of God’s mercy
on me, come to rest.
Compassion and pity,
downpours of sweet liberty
showers of redemption
cloud bursts of tranquility.
Oh, how I am thankful,
oh, I am blessed
as showers of God’s mercy
on me, come to rest.
Showers of mercy,
each day to embrace
each drop a reminder . . .
of God’s gift of grace!
Onto Jesus ~
Onto Jesus ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
All my inequity,
all of my sin
God put it all
all onto Him.
Onto Jesus,
God set my soul
so by His stripes
I’d be made whole.
Every unkind word,
evil thought or look
onto the cross
Jesus obediently took.
The lusts of my mind,
the deceit in my heart
onto Jesus’ own heart
God did impart.
Onto Jesus,
God placed my strife
then for my sins . . .
He gave up His life!
True Love ~
Come to the Cross ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Hew Died for All - IBible Verse
He felt forsaken,
by His Father above
He was truly hated
so we could find true love.
He was condemned,
so we could be justified
He was beaten
so we’d be healed inside.
He was made sin,
so we could be set free
He was crucified
so from sin we could flee.
He gave up His own life,
so we could be redeemed
He was our punishment
so we could be esteemed.
He bled and He died,
so we could forever live
He hung on a cross
so our sins, He could forgive!
All Because of His Name ~
All Because of His Name ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ photo/creationswap
He who had no fault,
no witness to defame
was declared guilty . . .
all because of His name.
He who broke no law,
nor to Satan did He obey
was crucified to death
for our iniquity that day.
He who did no wrong,
was put to public shame
ridiculed upon the cross
all because of His name.
He who had no sin,
took the punishment for us
with each piercing stab
on Him that was thrust.
He who had no fault,
took our share of blame
so He could forgive all . . .
who call upon His name!
~~~~~~~~~

Isaiah 53:2-5

“For he shall grow up before him
as a tender plant, and as a root
out of a dry ground: he hath no
form nor comeliness; and when we
shall see him, there is no beauty
that we should desire him.

He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted
with grief: and we hid as it were
our faces from him; he was despised,
and we esteemed him not.

Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows: yet we
did esteem him stricken, smitten
of God, and afflicted.

But he was wounded for our
transgressions, he was bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement
of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.”

By Faith Through Grace ~

By Faith ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

In Christ alone,
my hope is found
and ever since
I’m heaven bound.

For Jesus gave me,
the gift of eternity
through faith in Him
I have this surety.

In Christ alone,
my resting place
not of my doing
but of His grace.

For Jesus died,
to give me peace
so I may live on
after I decease.

In Christ alone,
my hope is found
now that from sin
I’ve been unbound!!

No One’s Perfect ~

No One's Perfect ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~

No one is perfect,
no, not one is good
nobody does what God
says that they should.

We all have gone,
off on our own
we are all like
sheep on the roam.

Wanderers we are,
drifters we be
tossed to and fro
on a faithless sea.

Everyone’s deprived,
all are sinful
to God’s way
not one is mindful.

No one is good,
not even one of us
that’s why in Jesus . . .
we must put our trust!

My Burden is Light ~

My Burden is Light ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

If Jesus’s burden is light,
why has man made it hard
why did His simple plea
they choose to disregard?

Instead they put on,
the yoke of their own laws
regulations of religion
laden with pagan flaws.

The yoke of Jesus,
is one of peace and rest
not full of rituals
so one can feel blessed.

Come, Jesus said to all,
your load I will carry
over man made rules
don’t fuss or worry.

I came to set you free,
from all your holy rites
for My yoke is easy
and My burden it is light!

He Died for Me ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~

Thank you Jesus,
for dying for me
for from my sins
setting me free.

Thank you Jesus,
for redeeming me
for Your suffering
instead of me.

Thank you Jesus,
for forgiving me
for justifying
the evilness in me.

Thank you Jesus,
for not condemning me
for the grace and love
You’ve shown me.

Thank you Jesus,
for dying for me
for giving me . . .
a new life in Thee!

What God’s Begun ~

What God's Begun ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

God’s been working,
in me I know . . .
and what He began
is starting to show.

He’s given my mind,
a transformation
to follow His ways
until my completion.

He’s taken my heart,
once made of stone
gave me a new one
just like His own.

He’s breathed new life,
into my dead soul
gave it His Spirit
to be in control.

Every day of my life,
He is working in me
I know its His image
He’s wanting to see.

God is not finished,
with what He’s begun
and I can hardly wait . . .
until with me He’s done!

Grace Came ~

Grace Came ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Grace was made flesh,
it was human and real
it prayed and it supped
it taught and it healed.

Grace came to save,
to justify and set free
grace imparted faith
to walk on the sea.

Grace came to give,
freedom and liberty
grace came to end
sinful man’s misery.

Grace came to supply,
strength to the weak
grace came to love
the poor and the meek.

Grace came in truth,
while here on earth
grace died on the cross
to bring all new birth.

Grace came in body,
heart, mind and soul
grace came in peace
to heal and make whole!

Healing Stripes ~

Jesus' Dying Breath ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~Jesus Paid it All - IBible Verse

His stripes healed,
our spiritual sickness
became the remedy
to sin’s wickedness.

Each lash mark,
screams of our rebellion
each slice of flesh
cries of our defection.

His stripes cured,
our sinful demise
became the balm
to our compromise.

Each strike of hate,
spoke of His great love
each lash mark left
glorified His Father above.

By His stripes,
we have been saved
in His death, the way . . .
to heaven was paved!

Which Thief are You?

Which Thief Are You ~CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Photo Creastion Swap

Which thief are you,
what one do you relate most to
the one who mocked Jesus
or the one who saw God, through?

Both wanted to be saved,
neither wanted to die
but only one had the courage
to look Jesus in the eye.

Both were sinners,
their punishment was death
but only one was saved
from hell’s fiery depth.

Both were convicted,
of their own evil offenses
but only one was willing
to come to Jesus’ defense.

Both were paying the price,
for all of their wrongs
but only one was repentant
and now in paradise belongs.

Which thief are you,
the one who mocks and blames
or the one who admits guilt
and is spared hell’s flames?

~~~~~~~~~
Luke 23:39-43
” And one of the malefactors
which were hanged railed on him, saying,
If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
But the other answering rebuked him,
saying, Dost not thou fear God,
seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
And we indeed justly; for we receive the
due reward of our deeds:but this man hath
done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus,
Lord, remember me when thou comest into
thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him,
Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou
be with me in paradise.’
Betrayed ~
Betrayed ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Photo Creation Swap
Betrayed with a traitor’s kiss,
from a known believer . . .
who would have thought it was
from the lips of the deceiver.
He appeared to everyone,
to be a faithful follower
to Christ and His ministry
he was a willing supporter.
But, Jesus knew his heart,
he saw evilness enter in
to place the kiss of death
on the One, who had no sin.
Upon the kiss of betrayal,
Jesus knew what He had to do
for, it was His Father’s will
to die for me and you.
Betrayed with a traitor’s kiss,
Jesus was on that day
for, He knew that into heaven . . .
there was no other way!
Man of our sorrows,
The Best Love Story ~
The Best Love Story ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Photo CreationSwap
A love story not written,
with ink from a pen
but dripping with blood
to release all from sin.
The scarlet thread of love,
woven throughout history
reveals to all the world
salvation’s true mystery.
The design of redemption,
was always in God’s plan
it was the only way to show
His mercy, to all of man.
For, God knew our souls,
needed true deliverance
so His sent His Son, Jesus
to atone, for our ignorance.
Grace mixed with blood,
the day those nails were driven
making the death of Jesus . . .
the best love story ever written!
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have
everlasting life.”
Because of Jesus ~
Come to the Cross ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Hew Died for All - IBible Verse
Because of Jesus,
I have God’s peace within
because of Him . . .
I’m forgiven for my sin.
Because of Jesus
I am no longer guilty
because of Him . . .
death isn’t my penalty.
Because of Jesus,
I have everlasting life
because of Him . . .
I’ll not face eternal strife.
Because of Jesus,
my life has purpose
because of Him . . .
I’m no longer worthless.
Because of Jesus,
I’ve been born again
because of Him . . .
I’ve the grace to sustain.
Because of Jesus,
all things are made new
because of Him . . .
I have a heavenly view!
henceforth live unto themselves,
but unto him which died for them,
and rose again.”
Come to The Cross ~
Come to the Cross ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~ Love on A Cross - IBible Verse
You who are fragile,
weary and sin-burdened
you who are frail
sad and sorrow-laden.
You who are hurting,
heartbroken and beaten
you who are feeble
crippled and weaken.
You who are wandering,
helpless and hopeless
you who are lost
destitute and homeless.
You who are troubled,
worried and anxious
you who are addicted
afflicted and nervous.
Come to the cross,
lay your weariness there
let Jesus take from you
your every single care.
Open your heart,
let His love embrace
the emptiness you feel
with His mercy and grace!
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Life-Saving Transfusion ~
Life-Saving Transfusion ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Precious is the blood of Jesus,
now it runs in my own veins
and courses through my body
so in my heart He may reign.
It pumps me full of grace,
as if flows into my soul
for by His stripes I am healed
in His death I’m made whole.
The crown of thorns trickles,
with mercies I don’t deserve
a life-saving transfusion . . .
with an endless peace reserve.
Each bruise and every wound,
are the markings of my sin
they ooze and seep with love
so my heart Jesus could win!
The Cross represents,
everything that I should be
compassionate and forgiving
just like Jesus is with me!
~~~~~~~~~~

Isaiah 53:5
King James Version

“But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.”

Love Like This ~

Love Like This ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

When my days are weary,
and my nights seem so long
where there is but a whimper
when there should be a song.

Let me remember the cross,
and all Jesus did for me
let me always be mindful
He is the reason, I am free.

When my soul is aching,
and my heart cries out in pain
let me not forget, in His death
there is everlasting gain.

Let His endless supply of grace,
always help to remind
love like this  . . .
nowhere else will I ever find!

Come to The Cross ~

 Come to The Cross ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Come to the Cross,
all who are heavy laden
come to the Cross
all who have been forsaken.

For, at the Cross,
Jesus will be waiting there
for, at the Cross
He wants your every care.

Come to the Cross,
all who are anxious and fearful
come to the Cross
all who are grievous and tearful.

For, at the Cross,
Jesus brings peace and stillness
for, at the Cross . . .
there’s endless forgiveness!

Redeemed ~

Redeemed ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann/image CreationSwap

Delivered, I’ve been delivered,
from the bottomless pit
pulled out, plucked away
no longer stuck in sin’s grit.

Liberated, I’ve been liberated,
from Satan’s binding chains
cut loose, unleashed
no longer does sin entertain.

Rescued, I’ve been rescued,
from the evil one who harms
separated from, released
no longer one of Satan’s charms.

Redeemed, I’ve been forgiven,
from my sins I’ve been set free
all because of the day . . .
the Lamb of God died for me!

If Jesus Had Not Risen ~

If Jesus Had Not Risen ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

If Jesus had not risen,
what sad shape I would be in
if He didn’t ascend into heaven
I would be dead in my sin.

If Jesus had not risen,
my faith would be for naught
if He remained in the tomb
my transgressions, He couldn’t blot.

If Jesus had not risen,
I would have nothing to live for
if He didn’t sit on the throne
where would I be forever more.

If Jesus had not risen,
I would be lost and miserable
if Jesus had said no . . .
my life would be unbearable.

But Jesus did rise,
so that with Him I can be
one day in paradise . . .
all because He loves me!

King James Version

“He is not here, but is risen;”

There’s Nothing I Can Do ~

There's Nothing I Can Do ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

There is nothing I can do,
no magic door to enter in
if I want to get to heaven
there’s no lottery, I can win.

There is nothing I can do,
I couldn’t purchase my way
even if I had a trillion dollars
to compensate for my stay.

There is nothing I can do,
to reserve a room for me
none of my works on earth
comes with such a guarantee.

There is nothing I can do,
to enter into God’s kingdom
no way for me to earn
the access or the freedom.

There is nothing I can do,
for Jesus paid the full price
I believe He became for me
the final sacrifice!

he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;

Beyond This Side Of The Cross ~

Beyond The Cross ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Beyond the cross,
is a glorious view
for in Jesus’ death
all things are new.

New beginnings,
fresh clean starts
eternal hope
to fill our hearts.

Beyond the cross,
the truth we find
the love of God
for all mankind.

Light and love,
fills in the dark
exposes sin
raw and stark.

Beyond the cross,
there are no fears
no death, no pain
no more tears.

Despair will end,
suffering will cease
there will only be
everlasting peace.

Beyond the cross,
hope springs anew
all because Jesus
died for you!

~~~~~~~~~
Hebrews 12:2
King James Version
“Looking unto Jesus
the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set
before him endured the cross,
despising the shame,
and is set down at the
right hand of the throne of God.”
The Cross of Compassion ~
The Cross of Compassion ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~
I cried the day I met Jesus,
I wailed, I bawled, I groaned
I cried learning how He died
I wept, I sobbed, I moaned.
I cried when I found out,
He was crucified  to save me
I cried when I discovered
in His death I was set free.
I cried when I first knew,
by His death I was justified
I wept, I wailed, I sobbed
the day I heard Jesus died.
I cried when I received,
the gift of His eternal passion
I cried when I found my hope
on the Cross of His compassion.
I cried the day I envisioned,
the blood stains on His face
I wept, I sobbed, I moaned
thanking God for His grace!
King James Version
“And Peter remembered the word of Jesus,
which said unto him, Before the cock crow,
thou shalt deny me thrice.
And he went out, and wept bitterly.”
The Only Forgotten Son ~
The Only Forgotten Son ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~
He wasn’t what they expected,
or what they thought He should be
and so they rejected . . .
what only their human eyes could see.
They couldn’t discern the promise,
for His appearance wasn’t kingly
and so they rejected . . .
what their hearts saw so unclearly.
They uprooted Him for fear,
He’d take the “Life from their tree”
and so they rejected . . .
the only one who would set them free.
They detested His lowliness,
a mere servant among the masses
and so they rejected . . .
the Messiah that rode in on an ass.
He once was despised by the crowds,
He is loathed by hoards today
now He is the Only Forgotten Son . . .
the world has turned away!
~~~~~~~~~~

Isaiah 53:2-3
King James Version

“For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant,
and as a root out of a dry ground:
he hath no form nor comeliness;
and when we shall see him,
there is no beauty that we should desire him.

He is despised and rejected of men
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

The Table of Grace ~

Table of Grace ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

At the table of grace sits a sinner,
a drunkard, a murderer and a thief
at the table of grace sits an adulterer
a liar and a denier of his own belief.

At the table of grace sits a sinner,
an abuser, a liar, an idolater
at the table of grace sits you and I
my brother, my sister, my neighbor.

At the table of grace sits Jesus,
who was beaten for our shame
at the table of grace sits the Christ
who took upon Himself our blame.

At the table of grace sits a sinner,
who partakes in the agony of His strife
at the table of grace sits our Savior
whose blood bought for all ~ eternal life!

~~~~~~~~
Matthew 26:27-28
King James Version
“And he took the cup, and gave thanks,
and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
For this is my blood of the new testament,
which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
