He has risen . . .
sweet heavenly music from above
He has risen . . .
the epiphany of God’s true love.
For, His beloved Son,
died for you and me
so from the fiery pit
He could set us free.
He has risen . . .
hallelujah the angels sing
He has risen . . .
eternal life to man He brings.
For, Jesus is alive,
resurrected and living
in our lives
His Spirit is breathing.
He has risen . . .
the Lamb of God from above
He has risen . . .
with peace and eternal love!

Matthew 28:5-6
“And the angel answered
and said unto the women,
Fear not ye: for I know
that ye seek Jesus,
which was crucified.
He is not here:
for he is risen,
as he said.
Come, see the place
where the Lord lay.”

I thank God,
it’s Good Friday
I’m so grateful
for this one day.
For my Savior,
endured for me
the pain, the shame
to set me free.
I thank God,
for Jesus dying breath
for it saved me
from eternal death.
For my sins,
on the cross He bore
so I could have life
with Him forever more.
I thank God,
it’s Good Friday
for Jesus is to Him . . .
the only pathway!

I see new life,
I see it springing
I can hear the song
it is singing.
Song’s of salvation,
coming alive
with words that restore
heal and revive.
I see new life,
I see it growing
I can attest
rebirth it’s bringing.
Former things no more,
now from death to life
gone is the old
no more eternal strife.
Upon Calvary’s cross,
a new life I see . . .
all because Jesus
died for you and for me!

Crucified for me,
for my sinful self . . .
oh, how in His death
there is eternal wealth.
Jesus died for me,
so that I might live
all of my transgressions
He came to forgive.
His death is my life,
in it I became new
for in Him . . .
I am crucified too.
Dying everyday,
to the greed and lust
in the world I no longer
pledge my faith or trust.
Grace and mercy,
are now my hearts anthem
ever since Jesus became . . .
my soul’s eternal ransom!

who loved me, and gave
himself for me.”

Beyond the cross,
there’s a glorious view
for in Jesus’ death . . .
all things are made new.
New beginnings,
fresh clean starts
eternal hope
to fill our hearts.
Beyond the cross,
there is new life
the end to sin
and worldly strife.
No more battles,
no more struggles
no more satan
causing troubles.
Beyond the cross,
there are no fears
no death, no pain
and no more tears.
Despair will end,
suffering will cease
there will only be
everlasting peace.
Beyond the cross,
hope springs anew
all because Jesus . . .
died for me and you!

“It is finished”
words of agony from Jesus’ lips
“It is finished”
no greater love will again eclipse.
“It is finished”
these words aloud Jesus said
and for the sins of everyone
His soul hemorrhaged and bled.
“It is finished”
but, what really had just begun
was that grace and forgiveness
were freely given by God’s Son.
“It is finished”
but, for you it can be a new start
if you repent now of your sin
and give Jesus your whole heart.
“It is finished”
Jesus died so that you’d be free
if you let His death at Calvary
take you down to your knees.
“It is finished”
but, it’s not the end of the story
not until the day all of mankind
bows before God’s in all His glory.
“It is finished”
words of hope from Jesus’ lips
“It is finished”
don’t let His love for you eclipse!

One nail was all it took,
to crucify Christ that day
it started with just one nail
for the crowd to get their way.
One blow upon that nail,
got the crowd to cheer and yell
“Crucify Him, Crucify Him”
put the hammer to that nail.
One nail was all it took,
for them to secure His fate
one large, iron nail became
the spike of their distaste.
One bang upon that nail,
their voices swelled and soared
“Crucify Him, Crucify Him”
as they began to nail the Lord.
One nail was all it took,
though they used all three
but, it started with that one nail
so all sinners could go free.
All it took was that first nail,
for the crowd to be satisfied
just one strike upon that nail . . .
and our Savior they crucified!

so others may today . . .
come to know You.
Open up their minds,

so others may today
be forgiven of their sin.
Open up their ears,
let them really hear

Open up their souls,

God has for us,
an overflowing supply
of mercy and grace
for us to daily apply.
We can put it on,
be it night or day
we just need to ask
for it, when we pray.
Abundant it is,
it will never run out
it’s what being forgiven
is really all about.
God will release it,
as we require
for granting it to us
is His heart’s desire.
For all those in need,
of God’s mercy and favor
all you need is faith . . .
and the grace of a Savior!

There’s a lot of temptation,
that we must daily fight
there is a lot of confessing
when you walk in the light.
There’s a lot of acknowledging,
the sinfulness we daily fight
there is a lot of repenting
when you walk in the light.
There’s a lot of recognizing,
the evil we daily fight
there is a lot of conviction
when you walk in the light.
There’s a lot of fessing up.
to the vices we daily fight
there is a lot to let go of
when you walk in the light.
There’s a lot of temptation,
that we must daily fight
there is true repentance
when you walk in the light!

1 John 1:7-9
“But if we walk in the light,
as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ

If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.”

I am the true Vine,
I am the pure seed
I came to fulfill
your soul’s dying need.
I am the choice Vine,
I’m the substitution
where there is sin
I’m the restitution.
I am the only Vine,
in Me you must stay

there’s no other way.
I am the faithful Vine,
to me you must cling
for without Me . . .
you can’t do anything.
I am the true Vine,
my Father is the gardener
in the end He will be

Jesus is the Way,
He is the only route
to His Father there’s
no other way about.
People may believe,
there’s another direction
but Jesus came to prove
He’s the only connection.
Jesus is the way,
He is the only path
all other roads will lead
to His Father’s wrath.
People may come up with,
their own substitution
but Jesus became for us
His Father’s restitution.
Jesus is the Way,
there is no other one
the only way to our Father
is through His begotten Son!

disclosing the evil thoughts

His light is heart revealing,

His light unmasks the sin

His light is mind piercing
it sees all who are sin driven.

The power of the blood,
is our souls atonement
for Jesus became for us
our spiritual proponent.
His life and death brought,
with God reconciliation
for our sins Jesus suffered
shame and humiliation.
His blood has the power,
to cleanse us from all sin
to wash away the stains
they have left deep within.
The day He died for us,
was the day of justification
the cross on which He hung
was for our sanctification.
The power of the blood,
brings to all eternal peace
for Jesus died so we could be
from sin, finally released!

Showers of mercy,
fall on me each day
sprinkles of God’s favor
on my soul spray.
Oh, I am grateful,
oh, how I’m blessed
as showers of God’s mercy

Healing and restoring,
hope, drips from above
droplets of God’s goodness
trickles of His love.
Oh, how I am thankful,
oh, I am blessed
as showers of God’s mercy

Compassion and pity,
downpours of sweet liberty
showers of redemption
cloud bursts of tranquility.
Oh, how I am thankful,

Showers of mercy,
each day to embrace
each drop a reminder . . .

all of my sin
God put it all
all onto Him.
Onto Jesus,

Every unkind word,

then for my sins . . .

by His Father above
He was truly hated
so we could find true love.
He was condemned,
so we could be justified
He was beaten
so we’d be healed inside.
He was made sin,
so we could be set free
He was crucified
so from sin we could flee.
He gave up His own life,
so we could be redeemed
He was our punishment
so we could be esteemed.

so we could forever live

so our sins, He could forgive!

He who had no fault,
no witness to defame
was declared guilty . . .

He who broke no law,
nor to Satan did He obey
was crucified to death
for our iniquity that day.
He who did no wrong,

all because of His name.
He who had no sin,

no, not one is good
nobody does what God
says that they should.
We all have gone,

Wanderers we are,

If Jesus’s burden is light,
why has man made it hard
why did His simple plea
they choose to disregard?
Instead they put on,
the yoke of their own laws
regulations of religion
laden with pagan flaws.
The yoke of Jesus,
is one of peace and rest
not full of rituals
so one can feel blessed.
Come, Jesus said to all,
your load I will carry
over man made rules
don’t fuss or worry.
I came to set you free,
from all your holy rites
for My yoke is easy
and My burden it is light!

Thank you Jesus,
for dying for me
for from my sins
setting me free.
Thank you Jesus,
for redeeming me
for Your suffering
instead of me.
Thank you Jesus,
for forgiving me
for justifying
the evilness in me.
Thank you Jesus,
for not condemning me
for the grace and love
You’ve shown me.
Thank you Jesus,
for dying for me
for giving me . . .
a new life in Thee!

God’s been working,
in me I know . . .
and what He began
is starting to show.
He’s given my mind,
a transformation
to follow His ways
until my completion.
He’s taken my heart,
once made of stone
gave me a new one
just like His own.
He’s breathed new life,
into my dead soul
gave it His Spirit
to be in control.
Every day of my life,
He is working in me
I know its His image
He’s wanting to see.
God is not finished,
with what He’s begun
and I can hardly wait . . .
until with me He’s done!

Grace was made flesh,
it was human and real
it prayed and it supped
it taught and it healed.
Grace came to save,
to justify and set free
grace imparted faith
to walk on the sea.
Grace came to give,
freedom and liberty
grace came to end
sinful man’s misery.
Grace came to supply,
strength to the weak
grace came to love
the poor and the meek.
Grace came in truth,
while here on earth
grace died on the cross
to bring all new birth.
Grace came in body,
heart, mind and soul
grace came in peace
to heal and make whole!

I am the Bread,
my Father, He sent Me
I am the only One
who can set a sinner free.
I am the Light,
bringing eternal life
I am the One who heals
man’s bitterness and strife.
I am the Door,
all may come and enter
I am the One who provides
a refuge and a shelter.
I am the Good Shepherd,
My life to all I have given
I am the One who died
so all could be forgiven.
I am the Way,
there is no other path
I am the One Truth leading
sinner’s from God’s wrath.
I am the Life,
there is no other One
I am the resurrection
for I am God’s, risen Son!

John 11:25-26
“Jesus said unto her,
I am the resurrection,
and the life: he that
believeth in me,
though he were dead,
yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth
and believeth in me
shall never die.
Believest thou this?”

His stripes healed,
our spiritual sickness
became the remedy
to sin’s wickedness.
Each lash mark,
screams of our rebellion
each slice of flesh
cries of our defection.
His stripes cured,
our sinful demise
became the balm
to our compromise.
Each strike of hate,
spoke of His great love
each lash mark left
glorified His Father above.
By His stripes,
we have been saved
in His death, the way . . .
to heaven was paved!

Which thief are you,
what one do you relate most to
the one who mocked Jesus
or the one who saw God, through?
Both wanted to be saved,
neither wanted to die
but only one had the courage
to look Jesus in the eye.
Both were sinners,
their punishment was death
but only one was saved
from hell’s fiery depth.
Both were convicted,
of their own evil offenses
but only one was willing
to come to Jesus’ defense.
Both were paying the price,
for all of their wrongs
but only one was repentant
and now in paradise belongs.
Which thief are you,
the one who mocks and blames
or the one who admits guilt
and is spared hell’s flames?

Luke 23:39-43
” And one of the malefactors
which were hanged railed on him, saying,
If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
But the other answering rebuked him,
saying, Dost not thou fear God,
seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
And we indeed justly; for we receive the
due reward of our deeds:but this man hath
done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus,
Lord, remember me when thou comest into
thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him,
Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou
be with me in paradise.’
