Imperishable Beauty ~

This CHRISTmas,
instead of hearth decorating
let it be your inner beauty
to all that’s captivating.

Rather than trimming,
your roof top, eaves and lawn
put on a calm and quiet spirit
so others to Jesus will be drawn.

This CHRISTmas,
instead of lighting a tree
let the light of Jesus
in you be what others see.

Rather than garnishing,
your fireplace mantle
adorn your heart and soul
with a spirit that’s gentle.

This CHRISTmas,
instead of all the fuss and ado
let your inner man reveal . . .
Jesus living inside of you!

~~~~~
 1 Peter 3:4
“But let your adorning be
the hidden person of the heart
with the imperishable beauty
of a gentle and quiet spirit,
which in God’s sight
is very precious”
Just Like My Savior ~
A Sweet, Loving Nature ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
I want to be . . .
a sweet-smelling savor
to my God, I want to be
just like my Savior.
I want to learn,
all about self-denial
I want endurance
when facing any trial.
I want to serve,
not expecting back
I want to give
what others lack.
I want to be faithful,
even if I suffer
I want patience
to be my soul’s buffer.
I want to love,
with a quite gentleness
I want to be humble
full of forgiveness.
I want to pray,
through all things
I want the purity
His Spirit brings.
I want to be . . .
just like my Savior
I want to have His . . .
sweet-loving nature!
~~~~~~

Ephesians 5:1-2

“Be ye therefore followers of God,
as dear children;

And walk in love, as Christ also hath
loved us, and hath given himself for us
an offering and a sacrifice to God for
a sweet smelling savour.”

Take My Pride, Lord ~

Life A Life Jesus will be Proud of used with permission IBible Verses

Lord, take away the pride,
in the things I say and do
let me take no pleasure
in just my point of view.

Teach me to be humble,
instead of being right
so I can stand worthy
pleasing in Your sight.

Help me to be meek,
less of myself aware
let not my ego cause
other people to despair.

Let me be grateful,
modest in my needs
may I not be haughty
in my acts and deeds.

Lord, take away my pride,
let me make You proud
may it be Your gentle Spirit
that stands out in a crowd!

Proverbs 16:18
King James Version

“Pride goeth before destruction,
and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

Marc Minter

Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.

“It was the last and most important day of the Feast. Jesus stood up and spoke in a loud voice. He said, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Does anyone believe in me? Then, just as Scripture says, streams of living water will flow from inside him." When he said this, he meant the Holy Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit later. Up to that time, the Spirit had not been given. This was because Jesus had not yet received glory.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭7:37-39‬)
