Truly ~

Truly ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

I know from experience,
God sends us heartbreak
and through it I’ve learned
He truly doesn’t forsake.

Though at the time,
we may think God isn’t near
it’s at that very moment . . .
we must give Him this fear.

For, in the midst of tragedy,
Jesus is also there
and our pain and sorrow
He truly wants to bear.

He takes our sorrow,
and give us more grace
so that our tomorrows
we can joyfully face.

I know from experience,
the breaking of a grieving heart
and now I know truly . . .
nothing can shake my faith apart!

“He healeth the broken in heart,
and bindeth up their wounds.”

God Heals the Broken Heart ~

God can do wonders
with broken hearts
He can heal and mend
all the injured parts.

But, you must give Him,
your heart as it breaks
each little piece of it
and all the little flakes.

God can perform miracles,
on hearts that are damaged
He can undo the impact
where grief has ravaged.

But, you must go to Him,
with a heart surrendered
so He can do the repairs
without being hindered.

God can do wonders,
miracles He still performs
for, on hearts that are broken
He mercifully transforms!

Sticky Note to God 05.26.17

He Restores My Joy ~

He restores my soul,
from the daily fatigue
He repairs my nerves
my fears, He relieves.

He restores my heart,
from its heaviness
He removes the pain
the hurt, the weariness.

He restores my faith,
when weakness sets in
He resets my trust
to follow after Him.

He restores my belief,
when there is doubt
He reinstates in my life
what His truth is about.

He restores my joy,
of a future sighting
He returns my watch
for that eye twinkling!

“Restore unto me the joy
of thy salvation; and uphold
me with thy free spirit.”

We All Have A Past ~

We all have a past,
filled with painful things
we all cringe . . .
at the memories they bring.

We all need to find,
God’s favor and grace
we all need God’s mercy
so the past we can face.

We all have feelings,
of resentment and ill-will
we all wince . . .
at how others make us feel.

We all need to find,
God’s healing peace
we all need God’s mercy
so our pain He can release.

We all have suffered,
the heartache of rejection
we all recoil . . .
when the past we mention.

We all need to find,
God’s way to forgiveness
we all need God’s mercy
so we can be rid of bitterness.

We all have a past,
filled with painful things
we all need God’s mercy
and the grace that it brings!

In God’s Training Room ~

in-gods-training-room-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

In God’s training room,
there’s a lot for us to learn
for, He wants to teach us
He’s with us at every turn.

We wrestle with the pain,
weep long into the night
so God can show us
the joy in His morning light.

We confront our sorrow,
the source of our fears
so God can collect for us
in His bottle all our tears.

We struggle with our past,
we scramble with its strife
so God can help us see
the temperance of this life.

In God’s training room,
He’s teaching us to know
all thing work for good
to them who love Him so!

work together for good

according to his purpose.”

Take It To The Cross ~

Prayer-CROSS

Whatever is your worry,
whatever is your care
take it to the cross . . .
and just leave it there.

For at the cross,
Jesus is waiting
to take every burden
on you, that’s weighing.

Whatever has you crying,
whatever has you sad
take it to the cross . . .
if you do, you’ll be glad.

For at the cross,
joy is yours to find
and the true peace of God
will fill your heart and mind.

Whatever is your burden,
whatever is your grief
take it to the cross . . .
whenever you need relief.

For at the cross,
Jesus will meet you there
and onto Himself
your burdens He will bear!

You Have Blessed Me ~

You Have Blessed Me ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

To My Friend  . . .

You have blessed me,
with words of encouragement
you have provided me
with spiritual nourishment.

You have helped me,
through my pain and grief
you have brought me
refreshment and relief.

You have given me,
hope in a dark place
you have revealed to me
the truth about real grace.

You have comforted me,
when all was too much to bear
you have reassured me
just how much for me you care.

You have been there for me,
my side you didn’t leave
you have consoled me . . .
my sorrow, you did relieve.

So thank you my friend
for blessing me . . .
with your very presence
though you, I cannot see!

~ Thank You Jesus ~

God’s Steadfast Love ~

God's Steadfast Love ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~

When sorrow greets me,
upon the break of day
I know God’s love . . .
will take the pain away.

For His loving-kindness,
when I am heartbroken
is filled with the promise
I’ll not be left forsaken.

When I’m discouraged,
before depression sets in
I think about God’s love
living steadfast within.

For His kind-heartedness,
is my souls retreat . . .
where my faith and trust
is made in Him, complete.

When my head I lay down,
at the end of the day . . .
I sing praises to my Lord
for the love He sent my way!

“By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me
– a prayer to the God of my life.”

What If ~

~CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~Tears by John Emery free photo #14718

What if there was no pain,
no grief, no more misery
no tears left to collect
no more human agony?

What if there was no hunger,
no thirst, nor starvation
no want or need left unmet
no dying from prostration?

What if there was no murder,
no killing, nor slaughter
no more innocent victim
no soul so cold and bitter?

What if there was no hatred,
no disgust, nor loathing
no heart so full of evil
no more darkness looming?

What if there was no pain,
no sorrow, no grief, no tear
what if Jesus never promised
to come again and live here?

~~~~~~~~~~
Revelation 21:4
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.”
Like Spring ~
always-spring-in-gods-love used with permission IBible Verses
Lord, I lift up my heart,
pour Yours into mine
give me perfect peace
joy real and divine.
Fill me with love,
the hope that You bring
let Your grace permeate
like the aroma of Spring
Send me Your light,
complete in me Your will
guide and lead me along
streams calm and still.
Take from me my grief,
the throb in my pain
wash away my sorrow
like an early, Spring rain.
Cover me with mercy,
tender and sweet
until the day . . .
when we finally meet.
Lord I lift up my heart,
pour Yours into mine
let us intertwine . . .
like a  Springtime vine!
~~~~~~~~~

Hosea 6:3

“Then shall we know,
if we follow on to know the Lord:

his going forth is prepared as the morning;
and he shall come unto us as the rain,
as the latter and former rain unto the earth.”

Jesus is My Everything ~

givemejesus CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Jesus is my everything,
In Him, I am complete
Jesus is my all in all . . .
He is my soul’s retreat.

Whenever I am weary,
I find my perfect rest
when I turn to Jesus . . .
I know I’ll be blessed.

His peace, it comforts,
soothes like a  balm
it’s because of Jesus . . .
I’m surrounded by calm.

Oh, how I need  Jesus,
forever in my life . . .
without Him I’ve only pain
in a world full of strife.

Jesus is my everything,
in Him I’m made whole
Jesus is my all in all . . .
the true lover of my soul!

Hope On ~

Hope on, all you who are in despair,
hope on, knowing He will forever care
rest in the promises of your Savior
and God will bless you with His favor.

Hope on, all you who are suffering,
hope on, let His mercy do the buffering
know that this too shall pass and end
and your problems God will fix and mend.

Hope on, you the fainthearted one,
hope on, and trust in His living Son
God’s grace will help and see you through
for there isn’t anything He can’t do.

Hope on, all those who have great sorrow,
hope on, He will bring a brighter tomorrow
find rest in God’s everlasting arms
and He’ll protect you from all that harms.

Hope on, all you who are in unending pain,
hope on, for soon you are going to gain
rest and comfort that only God can give
so hold on, and in His peace you shall live!

King James Version

“Be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen your heart,
all ye that hope in the Lord.”
