Flaming arrows,
fiery darts . . .
aiming each day
at our hearts.

Evil tricks,
wicked attacks
satan’s war on us
never eases or slacks.

Deceptive schemes,
dishonest lies
daily satan tosses
before our eyes.

Seductive snares,
traps menacing
are things each day
we are wrestling.

But we have the armor,
of God to protect . . .
any type of arsenal
on us satan projects!

your faith in God
satan can’t deflate.

The Battle With The Devil ~

The battle with the devil,
still today onward rages . . .
for it’s the same one fought
throughout all the ages.

It’s a constant onslaught,
of evil in high places
and the darkness that fills
in all of the vile spaces.

The war with the devil,
is still hostile and dirty
for his army is strong
their ammunition sturdy.

For we’re always under fire,
his attacks will never cease
and he will not give up . . .
til he takes away our peace.

The battle with the devil,
is an ongoing furious war
so put on your whole armor . . .
and be ready for his roar!

Lord, help me with my armor,

so to all of satan’s lies . .
I will not be swayed or drawn.

I wake up at dawn,
along with the dew
and rise up my Lord
to get close to You.

My morning I start,
with You in prayer
so to be ready
to give You my care.

Just like a bird early,
who gets the worm
I study Your Word
to keep my faith firm.

I dress in my armor,
make sure it’s on tight
I pray each verse I read
fills me Your might.

Walking In His Light ~

The children of God
walk in His light . . .
for they know everyday
darkness they’ll fight.

They are battle ready,
their armor they put on
for the children of God
to His Word are drawn.

The children of God,
by His Spirit are lead
for they know the traps
satan’s has for them ahead.

They know the difference,

Nameless Faces ~

Spiritual warfare,
in heavenly places

with nameless faces.

Evil and wickedness,
we’re all up against
the armor of God
is our only defense.

Sober and watchful,
we have got to be
for the devil prowls
to devour you and me.

Sticky Note to God ~03.06.18~

Buckle Up ~

I’m putting on my helmet,
going to protect my head
I’m buckling up the straps
with Scriptures I’ve read.

I want to be protected,
from Satan’s mind game
the hope of my salvation
is his most likely aim.

Satan is really good,
at playing with my thoughts
but my helmet keeps me
from falling for his plots.

I want to be ready,
at every curve and bend
for I know he will chase me
right up to the very end.

Satan loves the pursuit,
he will never-ever quit
but my helmet will give me
the endurance and the grit.

I’m putting on my helmet,
lest I crash and burn
going to use the Scriptures
around each and every turn!

When All is Peaceful ~

When all is at peace,
when your soul is still . . .
when joy and happiness
is all that you feel.

That is the time,
to prepare for war . . .
for, Satan will surely bring
adversity to your door.

When all is peaceful,
when all is calm and serene
wearing your armor . . .
must still be a daily routine.

For, you don’t know when,
the battle will begin or start
you need to be prepared . . .
lest an arrow, hits your heart.

Discouragement and despair,
are Satan’s favorite targets
your peace and your calm
he’ll gladly add to the harvest.

So, when ever you are feeling,
peaceful and at rest . . .
make sure you are ready
and in your armor dressed!

Rules of Engagement ~

Beware my Christian friend,
Satan is after you . . .
putting on the Armor of God
is the first thing you must do.

Satan’s always a step ahead,
setting up his land mines
his first rule of attack
is to mess with our minds.

He’s waiting in a fox hole,
ready to ambush you
so be sure you’re prepared
with a Scripture or two.

You must be ready,
you’re always in his range
the rules of combat
everyday he will change.

When things are going good,
it will draw his fire out
being in the Word of God
will keep away any doubt.

Beware my Christian friend,
you’re not under friendly fire
for your very soul . . .
is Satan’s one true desire!
