I’m Not Of This World ~

I live in this world,
but, I’m not of it
for I have in me
the Holy Spirit.

I breathe in the air,
to keep me going
but, my oxygen comes
from Jesus knowing.

I consider my life,
has come to an end
once Jesus became
my eternal Friend.

I now live by faith,
in God’s only Son
for His grace for me
my heart has won.

I live in this world,
but, from it I’m not of
for, I live by faith . . .
in His grace and love!

the old-man to take a hike.

I don’t have a clue,

I Don’t Believe Everything ~

I don’t believe everything,
that I hear . . .
I don’t just let just anyone
have my ear.

Instead I listen carefully,
to what others say
and compare it to
the righteous, narrow way.

I don’t believe anything,
just to follow the crowd
especially when they are
vociferous and loud.

Instead I listen intensively,
to the voice small and quiet
to determine for myself
if it is the Holy Spirit.

I don’t believe just anyone
but I test everyone . . .
for I know that I must
all false doctrine to shun!

A Place Called Unknown ~

I am in this place,
they call it the unknown
but, I am convinced . . .
I’m not in it all alone.

For, I know that Jesus,
is always close and near
and the way out of it
to me He will make clear.

It’s a place of uncertainty,
of what may lie ahead
a place where I’ll need to be
by the Holy Spirit lead.

For, my own understanding,
I can’t depend on or rely
if His inspired directions
I am going to apply.

I’m in this unknown place,
for how long I don’t know

to me Jesus will show!

Jesus sent to us,

A Helper we can trust,
the right path will show

A helper who will lead,

that is our assurance

Our soul He’ll protect,
